The service and food are excellent. The place smelled amazing as soon as we walked in. Great recommendation from the host.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Every single thing we've eaten here on our 3 visits has been superb. I'm vegan, husband is omni, and we both love all the freshly made dishes at Kathmandu. This is now our go-to restaurant in Cary for delicious, flavorful dishes, and the service is A-Plus as well. Everyone should go there, you won't be disappointed! read more

The best Indian and Nepali food I've had in the area. I've been coming to this place since around the time it first opened under previous management. The cuisine was a little more Nepali-focused with fewer Indian dishes. I miss some of the older options (like Jackfruit Biryani), but the quality of the new KK is still very high and much more consistent, and the newer Indian options are just as good. Visiting a mediocre Himalayan restaurant in NYC a while back really drove home how special this place is. The chicken momos are the best anywhere, all the Tandoori dishes are top-notch, and both meat and veg curries are extremely flavorful with high-quality ingredients. The restaurant suffers from the same understaffing problems as everywhere else, so service can be slow on the weekends, but the staff more than makes up for it by being extremely friendly and accommodating. A true local favorite. read more

Very good flavors and friendly staff. The crispy cauliflower was awesome. I highly recommend a side of garlic naan as well. Next time I am in town for work I will be going back. read more

I'd never had Nepalese food before, and I wasn't disappointed! My friend and I had a great dinner here the other night. Our server was kind, attentive and helpful. She recommended chilli momo, which I ordered. It was amazing-- the dumplings were flavorful, a little crispy and spicy without overwhelming my midwestern palate. I will definitely return again! read more

By far the best Indian food we've had in the area. My husband and I both love Indian cuisine and have tried several restaurants in the area. We found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. Everything was cooked perfectly with incredible flavors. We are so glad that it is down the street from us and will absolutely be back soon! read more

This is a fabulous restaurant with top-drawer service. Unfortunately we don't have any good Indian restaurants in Greensboro and were willing to make the trip to Cary to see what might be good there. Our table ordered shrimp masala, garlic and also plain naan, chicken tikka masala, mango lassi, and the chicken tandoori sizzling iron plate. The food was to die for! Everything arrived piping hot, was incredibly flavorful and beautiful to the eye. We ordered a "2" on the spicy scale and it was actually fairly spicy and entirely to our liking. Our server (Dichanta) - sorry for the misspelling of the name -- was very helpful, arrived constantly with ice water (appreciated in the 90 degree plus weather) and was very friendly and talkative. The perfect server and a very smart and interesting guy as well! I'm a really picky (Virgo) person and I can't think of a single thing that can be improved on at this restaurant! Can't wait to get back to Cary for another out-of-the-world lunch. Also nice: the owner of the restaurant came by the table several times to see how we were all doing! Customer service at its very best! read more

Wow! What a wonderful dinner! We've been searching for our go-to Indian restaurant since moving to the Triangle. The food was outstanding. The naan is crispy and light and perfect! Try the homemade paneer - everything tastes homemade and authentic. Kind and friendly staff. Loved it! read more

Delicious is an understatement. Did takeout for Father's Day lunch and everything was perfectly made. Was feeding a crowd of 10 so had different spice level requirements for each dish. Everything was on point and perfectly spiced. Even the most mild food had amazing flavor. We ordered everything vegetarian btw. The veg momos were amazing. A must place to try. read more

Best Himalayan food in town. We were visiting Cary and dined here this evening... amazing food and friendly staff. A must try if you're looking for authentic Himalayan food. Will definitely return when we're back in town. read more

This restaurant is phenomenal. It is easily the best Indian/Nepalese restaurant in the area. I wish I could remember the name of our server because he was great and very friendly. We ordered the momo which are like dumplings, this fried cauliflower, tandoori chickens, and chicken tikka masala. Each dish came out in good time, was delicious, and very different. The fried cauliflower ( can't remember name) was a real standout because I wasn't expecting to like it. It was cooked to perfection, the sauce was also delicious and slightly spicy. This restaurant even has a nice atmosphere, the chairs were comfy and it was lively. We will be back time and time again. Especially considering how fair the prices were. read more

We've only ordered delivery and haven't been disappointed. Our food has been consistently on time, hot, tasty, and fresh.

My husband and I were in the area and tried this place. My husband had gone to Nepal years back, so he was interested in the cuisine. It was absolutely fantastic! The owner was super nice and helped us get some tasty meals. We had a nice chat about Nepal. Definitely recommend adding milk tea to your order. We had the lamb curry, dumplings and garlic bread. We will be back! read more

We ordered the aaloo Gobi, jackfruit biryani, and chicken momos. Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic. I will definitely come back here for dinner again! read more

Such an amazing experience at Kathmandu Kitchen! Veggie momos johl style were perfectly saucy, dal was just the right amount of creamy and balanced with spices, and tandoor shrimp was incredible. Service was attentive, helpful, and friendly. We were already planning on what we were getting before we had even left. Highly recommend this place! read more

Kathmandu Kitchen - Dal Makhani and Tandoori Shrimp Tikka - Indian Near Me - Cary, North Carolina

Was in Cary with my dog, so I was simply looking for a restaurant with outdoor seating. Was not expecting to find this delight. Wow, their Coco Chicken Curry might just have the juiciest chicken that I've ever tasted! I was excited about trying the goat dish here (Himalayan Curry - which was also good) but somehow the chicken, of all meats, stole the show. Their appetizers/sides were also delicious: the Garlic Naan was crisp on the outside, but soft and warm on the inside. And the spicy Momos were so fun to eat. They're like thicker versions of Soup Dumplings, but covered in a chili sauce. I was so busy eating I forgot to take pictures, guess I have to go back now! read more

Food was great, and we were served was fast. Momos were great and you can't go wrong with the Mango Lassa. Also, the chairs are really comfortable! read more

Hello, So I ordered Malai chicken tikka kebab and quality was good but quantity was very less - only 4 pieces for $15 compare to other Indian restaurants in Raleigh. Need to add some quantities. read more

It was quiet in here as we were the only ones in the restaurant because it was a cold late night but the owner was so welcoming and very nice and funny. The food though.... WOW! It was amazing lol we ate thE veggie korma, tandoori roti, lamb kabob, chicken biryani, crispy cauliflower & momo! So basically we tried it all. And honestly you have to try this place! read more

I really wanted to like this restaurant, but my delivery order was less than average almost across the board. The shrimp tikka limp and tasteless without any rice to accompany it and the crispy cauliflower far from crispy. The cucumber salad was like a sad side salad from a cheap pizza place. Portions were relatively small, and I'm not one who demands much in the way of volume. Slow delivery certainly didn't help, but wasn't the entire story. read more

Decided to stray away from my usual place and try something new and it def bit me back because this was so disappointing. Ordered butter chicken and honestly i don't even know what I got it was just dry and plain I ordered spicy and it was far from that. The Naan was dry. read more

Great customer service, good portion sizes, and delicious food! The Garlic naan is amazing.

We loved the food at Kathmandu!!!! Terrific flavors and great prices. We had Momo Classic Dumplings (Chicken) and the Samosa Chat as appetizers. And the Methi Chicken Malai and the Olive Garlic Naan, for our main. Each dish had wonderful flavors, unique compared to other restaurants. Definitely one of the top restaurants in the Cary area. Service was great and very personable. We will definitely go again!!! read more

Have eaten there a few times already for dinner and this place is definitely worth coming to! The waiter was very good at answering our questions on the menu and very eager to provide excellent customer service. They also had what I consider to be very good selections of wine by the glass. They even have a bar there so someone can get a mixed drink if you don't feel like wine or beer with your meal. Really enjoyed their chicken momos! Their rice pudding for dessert was great - not runny like some other places serve, but creamy! I'm looking forward to going back there again soon. read more

Amazing food. This was my first time ordering from here and WOW. I ordered chicken curry with garlic naan and chicken dumplings. Not one single complain here. If you're thinking about trying Kathmandu, you should just go ahead and do it. You will not be disappointed! read more

My husband and I came in here today and we were looking to try something different. We've had Indian food in the past but we're wanting to try a different taste of what we've had before. When we came in we where very pleased to be greeted in the upmost respect the waiter was very helpful and let us know what each thing was we were interested in trying. Once the food came (which was rather quickly) it was sooo nice. It wasn't overwhelmingly seasoned or too oily. We honestly enjoyed it so much. The prices are very fair and quite affordable. The wait staff was very sweet and we look forward to coming again read more

Best Indian/Himalayan food I've had in years. The momos (think dumplings) were delicious, and the palak curry was the tastiest I've ever had. We will definitely be returning. The service was a bit slow because of a mixup in the kitchen, and the manager was kind enough to offer to not charge us for the momos--well-handled. read more

We drove 40 minutes each way to try this place. I liked that they tell you upfront that they will do curbside during covid, everyone is not as accommodating. We also wanted something a little different from our normal Indian and Japanese restaurant. I would rate higher than 5 stars if possible! The food was delicious!!! We are celebrating a birthday next weekend and we were planning on getting food from a closer favorite but will be ordering Kathmandu again. Food was wonderful!! Definitely worth the ride!! read more
