Had a great dining experience despite the pandemic! Clean and safe dining, masks were worn by the friendly waiting staff. Piping hot and freshly prepared nepalese food which tasted very authentic! The duck roast tikka tasted delicious with the rice and the daal soup on the side was divine! The chili momos were spiced just perfect with the Himalayan chai! Even the mango lassi brought back the taste of freshly plucked monsoon mangoes from an orchard..Will definitely return! read more

When we were in town, wanted to stop by a Nepali restaurant and found this in yelp. We were hesitant at first, but going there was the highlight of the trip. Amazing Jhol Momo, great chicken curry...above all Naan was the best. Great food. Great service. Highly recommended! read more

We have eaten there several times and even brought out-of-town guests. I definitely agree with the other reviews that the momos are excellent. We like the tandoori duck tikka a lot. The sauces and the naan are great. We were served by Suresh, who is warm and helpful. The wine list is surprisingly good as well. read more

A friend and I had lunch at Kathmandu Kitchen today and the food was delicious. We ordered the Chicken Momo off the dinner menu to share and then both ordered the Palak Paneer entree from the lunch menu (the meal came with savory rice and we also ordered the buttery naan). I would definitely order those items again but also look forward to trying other items from the menu. The service was fantastic--our waitress was friendly and helpful as we asked about various items on the menu. I definitely plan to return for another meal. :) read more

I went for lunch on the first day that they opened. I expected that they might still be trying to figure everything out and there were a few hiccups, but the staff was very nice and very attentive. I wanted to try a goat appetizer, but it didn't seem that any of the goat dishes were available. I opted for the chicken wing appetizer. The sauce that came on the side was a chili pepper type sauce and it was very good. For my entree, I had lamb sheesh kabobs. I expected the typical lamb meat on skewers, but a small sizzling skillet with vegetables topped with rolled lamb meat that was cut into sections is what I got. It was delicious! Since it was their first day, they had a 20% off on entrees or a free glass of wine, so that was a bonus too. I'll definitely go back. read more

Have only written 1 Yelp review and this is it.... This place is magical, the food, the service, the ambiance, and did I mention the food? Have you ever had a dinner that just makes your soul sing? That makes you glow from the very inside of your being because of the divine taste? If not, the secret is coming here and ordering the Samosa Chatt, lamb kabob, mango lassi and garlic naan... I travel all over the country for work and this is place is special! If you made it this far just go already!!! read more

I cannot recommend Kathmandu Kitchen enough!! The cuisine is as authentic as it gets and the prices are very reasonable. The naan is mouthwatering and the Chicken Tika Masala out of this world. Please support this local gem! read more

This is my first time eating food from the Himalayan's! Holy Crap! Soooo good! I am a eater of fine Indian food and wow this place right up there. We had the Crispy Cauliflower (unreal), Chicken steamed dumplings and had and Himalayan Chicken Tikka... All this Cary NC, who would have known. My suggestion is the eat here and if not, then more food for me! read more

I had the pleasure of attending a media dinner at Kathmandu, and I cannot wait to return soon. I'm no expert on Nepalese cuisine, but I will say the momos here far surpass those at Himalayan Range. The made-to-order dumplings are delicate and deliciously stuffed with the perfect amount of chicken. I surprised myself by preferring the vegetarian option, which come in a bowl full of peanut coconut broth. The vegetarian curry was savory and satisfying without being too heavy during these steamy summer days. I was most impressed with the duck tikka, a piece of crispy duck atop a pile of roasted vegetables. This dish made me think of fajitas, as it arrived to our table steaming hot. The jackfruit biryani was delicious, and again, I'm super impressed with the vegetarian options here that shine alongside their counterparts aimed at the carnivore crowd. As a meat lover, I appreciate the variety of dishes that include choices like chicken, lamb, and goat. As a vegetable lover as well, I also love that I can satisfy both cravings at Kathmandu! read more

I don't think I've ever had Indian food that was so delicious before! I travel quite a bit and have tried my fair share of curries too. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. The flavor of the sauce was sooo delicious I was savoring every bite. The garlic naan was a great complement. The staff was friendly and the service was good. The were down to one server at lunch so it took a bit longer to be served, but that is to be expected. I would highly recommend eating here! read more

The food was pretty good but the atmosphere was a bit strange, it was a Wednesday night and there was only one other couple there so it was a bit odd, the chicken korma was delightful and very flavorful, I would eat here again but probably get it to go read more

I will start by saying that they did everything they could to fix my order, but it could not be fixed. We have one specific meal that we have absolutely Loved, but there must be a new chef with the new management, because not only did the name change, the meal changed as well. It just wasn't as good. The take out portion of rice was a single scoop in a styrofoam take out box, this was disappointing too. I am very sad to say that we will be on the hunt for a new place. read more

Wow! Really exceeded our expectations. The menu is excellent and every dish we had was great - loved the samosa chaat and the cauliflower masala curry. Great flavors and spices, lots of vegetarian entrees as well. Can't wait to come back! read more

This is the first time I've ever tried a vegetable momo and all I can say is "YUM". I had to Google everything on the menu, but they have a lot of vegetarian options. Very delicious and convenient that they deliver to Morrisville! I would definitely recommend to anyone in the mood to try something new. The garlic naan was great. The Himillaya Chow Mein and the red chili sauce was insanely spicy, so watch out. read more

Excellent. Enjoyed lunch here a couple of weeks ago & were all pleased with delicious food & superb service. Extensive menu offers soothing to spicy choices that will accomodate all tastes. Buttery curry onion base sauce, perfect plump momos, savory olive garlic naan, & chicken tandoori baked to perfection then served on a sizzling platter. Attentive, knowledgeable service in a quiet, comfortable setting. The food was great!! Very tasty!! With very good service!! The lady agreed to give extra rice generously!! Love this place!!! Definitely would visit again! read more

My husband's goat chop is too tough to eat regardless that he specifically said medium rare, he said its disgusting, the goat chop was served with no rice then the waitress said there is no rice even though she is the one who told us that the goat chop came with rice, thanks to another gentleman brought out the rice immediately and apologize for the error. The problem is the waitress barely speaks English and it's very hard to communicate with her. My appetizer are all tasteless. The lentil soup is very thin, it's like the kitchen doesn't have enough ingredients but water. Probably the worst lentil soup I ever had. I don't understand why there are 4.5 stars reviews? I guess the 29 reviews are all made by the owner's friends and family? Anyway, we will NOT return. Because the service is bad by bad communication and the food is absolutely tasteless. I hope they can improve, otherwise I don't know how will they survive their business?? And to the owner, please hire someone who can speak English to take our order because you are in an English-speaking country. read more

Especially loved the vegetarian Momos--they were delightfully cute. My table ended up staying very late and our server was very gracious and invited us to stay as long as we wanted. Will definitely be coming back! read more

We enjoyed Kathmandu Kitchen as part of a afternoon work team outing. The food and service was amazing. Everyone enjoyed what the ordered and the entire group shared each tasty appetizer and entree. Appetizers were also very good. Recommendations for appetizers are Crispy Cauliflower and Chicken Chilly. Amazing!! Main course recommendations are Chicken Tikka Masala, Shrimp Malabar Curry and any Tandoor Grill item (Achaari Chicken tikka, lamb chops, Duck breast). For bread, the Olive Garlic Naan. Most in our group mentioned they were coming back with their families for another visit. As I already mentioned, the service was exemplary. We had a very large group and we were well looked after. Highly recommend!! read more

We are always looking for new restaurants and decided to give it a try on a Friday night. 3 of us went in about 6:15 and there were only 7 other people there. Made me stop & think for a second if it was going to be very good. We ordered Lentil soup, cucumber salad & Chicken Mo:Mo's to start. All 3 were good but the Mo:Mo's didn't have a whole lot of flavor. For entrees we had Goat Vindaloo, Goat Patal & Tandoori Chicken. All were flavorful but both Goat dishes had a lot of small bones and not a lot of meat. They came with a huge bowl of rice which was good since the 2 Goat dishes had a lot of gravy. read more

Out walking the dog tonight and happened upon the soft opening of this lovely restaurant. Sat outside and had a delicious dinner of vegetable momos, tandoori salmon, and an assorted basket of fresh breads. The food was excellent and very fresh.
