Katchmark did a good job replacing my Chantilly, VA roof this Nov 2018. I was satisfied with how they handled the entire process, from initial discussion, contract signing, scheduling, roof replacement, to problem remediation. I was only interested in the GAF Golden Pledge (25 yr workmanship) roof package. I evaluated numerous contractors and narrowed it down to the top three, including Shiner and NVRoofs, before deciding on Katchmark--whose bid was slightly more competitive and the company seemed to be a fairly large sized local company (with sufficient resources and man power). I dealt with Vinnie who was very straight forward and responsive to my inquiries and iterative proposal revisions, and was able to quickly schedule my roof job shortly after contract signing. I give Vinnie a thumbs up for giving the customer space to think, breath, and decide. I had a couple roofing sales rep come sit at my table and it was literally pulling teeth to get them to leave; one actually got on the phone to speak to his boss to try to persuade me with the spurt of the moment deal of a lifetime offer--just like at the car dealership! On the day of install, Katchmark sent a 10 man crew who completed the re-roofing in a day. The onsite supervisor, Fernando, was a nice guy and was very knowledgeable. I observed the crew work doing the tear down, installing ice/water shield, underlayment, starter strip, drip edge, and shingling. Each team handled their roof sections and seemed to seamlessly coordinate their respectively installations--very impressive to see the production first hand. They also did a good job keeping/leaving my place clean by tarping my deck and the entire yard, and picking up the nails and debris as work progressed. Post install, I identified some minor flashing and wall stain issues, which Fernando immediately took care of on a subsequent day. My husband and I contracted Katchmark Construction, Inc. to overhaul the exterior of our home. The project was extensive and included windows, siding, gutters, shutters, front door, and fixture replacement on the outside (the only thing they didn't replace was the roof!). We worked with David Hill who is a seasoned sales person with Katchmark (over 20 years of employment with the company) and it truly shows. He acted as a project manager for us as he was out main point of contact throughout the process. He helped make things so easy and as stress free as possible for us. He helped make my design vision come alive and was there for us every step of the way. He was proactive with communication and was always accessible to us. He consistently went above and beyond. One example that I can share is that we had a slight malfunction with our new front door which caused us to get locked out of the house and he offered to drive to our house on a Sunday to help us get back inside. The craftsmanship of the different crews who came to work on your house was exceptional. I was especially impressed with Thomas and his crew who were in charge of our siding and trim. They were thorough and took their time to make sure that they did a great job. Our neighbors even commented at how "deliberate" they seemed to be and how much time they took on that aspect of the project to make sure everything was flawless. Any and all of the concerns that we had were immediately addressed as Katchmark seems to stand by their work and honor customer satisfaction. I was referred to Katchmark by a neighbor who had hired them to do work on 2 separate residences over the years and we were so happy that we used them for our home renovation project. Katchmark Construction just replaced my gutters on our townhouse in Reston, VA. We've lived here for almost 18 years now and have worked with several contractors over the years. I must say that Katchmark is far superior to any other contractor with which we've worked. From start to finish, the job was excellent. Dave, our project coordinator, was very communicative throughout the entire process and didn't try to pressure me into getting something I didn't need. He also fixed a minor problem with our existing gutters (cleared a clogged downspout) until we could have the new gutters installed. The Katchmark team at the headquarters also was very communicative. They sent emails updating me on the project's progress and they were very flexible with scheduling. When the installation team (Manuel, Deybin and Germias) arrived, they were very nice, polite and attentive to my requests. They respected my property (flowerbeds) and were careful with the existing paint on the house. The team did an excellent job with replacing the gutters, and even ran a paint brush over some exposed wood on the fascia (footprint from the previous gutter). They also flawlessly installed a complicated y-ring tubing that connects to my neighbor's downspout to help with water flow at the bottom of the downspouts. I offered to tip the team for the exceptional job that they did, but they didn't accept the money. They were true gentlemen and were just happy to do the job, do it right and meet (and exceed) my expectations. Our home in Woodbridge, VA was pounded with hail back in May 2016 damaging our roof and two cars. It had been a while since I filed a claim and going through the insurance process can sometimes be a challenge. My insurance company recommended me to preferred contractor but I was not comfortable with their recommendation. My two neighbors adjacent to me were having their roofs replaced before me by Katchmark Construction. I observed the teams in action under the close eye of their Project Manager, Mr. Randy Schenck who was managing both jobs simultaneously. After observing for a couple of hours I approached Randy and asked a few questions about the roofing cap materials (GAF) they were using to vent the attic etc... Randy showed me the materials and explained the benefits of using a flexible roofing cap vice a metal finished product that in his opinion was not the product of choice because it could potentially allow for vertical rain to penetrate the roof. I immediately felt this guy is on the up and up and just doing what he does best....install roofs! So, I called my insurance company that afternoon and switched to Katchmark. The entire process took less than a month from start to finish and we were very happy with the results. We used Katchmark Construction after a recent hail storm hit the area. We couldnt be happier. We originally thought our insurance company would come out and take good care of us as we saw most of the roofs being replaced in the area. Much to our surprise they were horrible to deal with. We decided to give Dave B a call from Katchmark and he agreed to meet with our adjuster on a re-adjust. When the adjuster showed up and saw Dave and the big black Katchmark truck, we could see the mutual respect they had for each other. Apparently Katchmark is our carriers preferred contractor. They hopped up on the roof for 15 minutes and the next thing I know were getting a new roof. We then were presented the best warranty for GAF which only Katchmark can offer in our area and they had our roof replaced in just a days time. Our son is a roofing contractor but lives in upstate New York. He just came down for labor day and wanted to check their craftsmanship. He looked at their work for over 30 minutes inspecting each side of the roof and gave it his 100% seal of approval. Im thoroughly expressed with the insurance representatives from Katchmark like Dave and Ive spoken with all of our neighbors whove used them and they feel the same. We have used Katchmark Construction for two major renovations to our Fairfax home. The first was June, 2001. Katchmark removed our existing siding and windows, Tyveked the entire house and installed new vinyl windows and siding. The crew was first rate and the installation was done on time. Approximately a year after the installation, we noticed a problem with the large front wind not latching properly. Katchmark responded quickly to my request for service, diagnosed the problem as a defective window and replaced it with a new one the very next day. In July, 2014, I again called Katchmark to evaluate my aging roof. Mr. David Hill did a thorough inspection of the shingles, sub-roof and attic ventilation system. He recommended an entire roof replacement, sub-roof, shingles, additional attic insulation and improved ventilation system. The quoted price was more than reasonable and once again Katchmark did an outstanding job. The construction crew was first class. Willie, the site supervisor was on scene taking 'before' and 'after' pictures and talked us through all aspects of the roof replacement. The job was done in one day and all construction debris was removed. I highly recommend Katchmark for all of your home construction needs. read more

From start to finish Terry ensured that the roof project would include all of the design choices we made and that we understood the costs covered by our insurance as well as any deductible and upgrades we were responsible for. There were no surprises! In addition, the roofing crew sent to the house did a fantastic job in both installation and cleanup. Having spent some time in the building supplies business and having installed a couple of roofs myself, I was impressed with the quality of the installation and all of the components. Their cleanup was thorough. This was particularly impressive in that it was done in 95-degree heat. Katchmark Construction recently installed a new roof and gutter protectors on my home after a hail storm on 5 May had caused extensive damage. After observing what appeared to be damage to my roof, I contacted Mr Terry Fogle a supervisor with the firm whom I noted had been involved in the roof restoration of several other homes in my area. He responded to my call promptly; inspected the roof despite stifling heat; provided me a detailed list of the damage and a cost estimate; worked with my insurance firm to confirm the damage; and then supervised the crew that repaired the roof and gutter guards. Terry was outstanding in every respect--- professional, considerate, and superbly competent. He took care of everything. Under his consummate leadership the roof was replaced in a single day ( minimizing inconvenience to me) and the results were superb. I could not have been more pleased. I had considerable wind damage to my townhouse during March of 2018 and got estimates from three different roofers. Katchmark was the only company that would help me deal with the insurance company before I signed a contract. Even though they were extremely busy with the work volume from the storm, I never had trouble reaching the company or the rep assigned to work with me. They helped me get thousands more from the insurance company (yes, it was justified, the insurance company has a reputation for low-balling payouts). The company sent me emails alerting me to the progress (estimators coming out, materials have been ordered, confirming work date, etc). The work was done in one day (I have a townhouse), the job cleanup was outstanding (my neighbors commented on that as well), and I received two follow up calls from both the crew chief and the customer service rep making sure that I was happy with the work and that there were no outstanding issues. Katchmark recently went above and beyond to repair a difficult water leak in my siding. The leak was very hard to find and they were most professional beginning to end on the project. Even though this was a small job for them, they treated me like a big customer. In the process of finding the leak I had removed some of my sheet rock interior wall to expose the leak and two of Fernando's crew, Joe and Yugo, just finished up repairing this interior wall and it looks beautiful. They did a great job making the repair area better than when they started, both on the outside and the inside. Andrew was the salesman I dealt with and he and Fernando were most professional and polite in all my dealings with them. Thank you for going way beyond to find and stop my water leak, and for doing a beautiful job putting the outside and inside back to a condition better than when you started. I needed my roof repaired from some hail damage and I worked directly with Andrew from Katchmark. the process was as painless as it could be, the most difficult aspect being choosing from the myriad of options. The cost came in at exactly the quoted price, the team finished on time and the workmanship is surprisingly good. The roofers also installed a self venting system which allowed me to remove my gable fans and central attic fan which greatly improved the aesthetics of my home. My parents had a particularly challenging metal roof and Katchmark performed well on that replacement also. After unsuccessful attempts by other contractors to identify the source of a damaging roof leak, Katchmark thoroughly inspected my roof and located the unusual points of entry. They provided a very reasonable repair estimate, photos of the affected roof area and a detailed description of the scope of work to be performed. Katchmark installed a roof for us in 2006. During the recent deluge, we realized the spot on the ceiling was from water as we saw water dripping. I called early in the week and they were able to send Andrew out by the end of the week. He arrived a few minutes early (to my shock and pleasure) and assessed the situation pretty quickly. He showed me pictures and said the problem was some nail pops (rusted nails that were no longer flush to the roof). He fixed the problem (showed me pictures of the fixes) and didn't charge me, saying it was their fault (even though the roof is 2 years past warranty). I was referred to Katchmark by my daughter's boyfriend after I discovered a leak in the master bedroom in our home. Jake Katchmark arrived on Saturday morning, climbed on the roof, took photos of the area that was damaged, explained the work he was going to do which included caulking the shingles to the rain diverter, and completed the job. Jake also fixed a piece of siding that was not related to the leak. Jake asked me to wait to repair any damages until it rained twice. If I notice any water coming in he plans to send the crew out. I had a very large renovation on my home from storm damage and once I met Steven I immediately felt like he would make sure everything would be smooth and stress free for me.
