I want to take a moment to recognize Brandi Cockerill at Granite & Marble Express. My overall…read morekitchen remodel has been extremely stressful (mainly due to cabinet delays, not countertops), and by the time I reached the countertop stage, I was beyond frustrated. Brandi completely changed that experience for me. She has been professional, patient, and incredibly kind every step of the way. Whenever I have questions, she goes above and beyond to explain things clearly and make sure I feel confident about the process. She has a way of calming the stress and making everything smooth and manageable, which I appreciate more than I can say. My countertop installation hasn't happened yet, but I will come back to update this review once it's complete. Even so, I wanted to share now that Brandi has already made such a positive impact. She is truly the reason I would recommend Granite & Marble Express to anyone.

I checked the hours and google showed that they were open. So either, we were lied to or they have wrong hours on google. The staff is careless and/or hates their job and it really shows in their service. So stay far away from them. If it takes 3-4 days to get a reply, it seems clear they don't want to work. We ended up going with a different company.

We hired CKB to paint the first floor of our "new" house we just bought - a 1970s townhome with…read moreplenty of crown molding and chair rail! But once we scheduled the appointment with CKB, lots of other projects popped up with our old, new house: knocking pipes when the hot water is on, an old fireplace mantle with water damage behind it, a wall-mounted tv that the previous owners stuck right into flammable insulation. But it didn't matter! Quinn, Cherie, and Carlos completed our whole list within ONE WEEK and within our budget. The team painted everything from ceilings to baseboards and covered up the previous yellow and navy blue paint! They completely replaced the damaged drywall behind our brick fireplace and installed a new electrical outlet for the wall mounted tv, in addition to adding fireproof insulation! And they fixed our knocking pipes by cutting into our walls and spray foaming around the culprits. Totally professional and on time every day. It was great! Can't wait to have them back to renovate our old bathrooms.

So, when we had a water…read moreleak resulting in moderate water damage to 1/4 of the basement and some insurance proceeds, we decided to contact CK&B to revisit the basement layout and modernize things a bit. Primary emphasis was a layout that could evolve over time and recapturing some floorspace. Start to finish was 3-4 weeks. This included tearing out popcorn ceiling, wiring in ~11 new recessed lights, new flooring, new kitchenette, small updates to a guest bathroom, painting all the things (including a chalkboard 1/3 wall) and a redesigned fascia for our fireplace. It also included a "secret room" for the kiddo that Quinn took on as a personal project, as we've been juggling complex medical issues for a few years. Needless to say that resulted in a lot of smiles and it has been getting a ton of use. The plywood in the secret room is 3/4" and we plan to add some rock climbing grips to it in the future. Pearl and Monica were easy to communicate with and any issues (ex: some painting needed to be revisited) were handled promptly. They were very flexible with pricing and really went out of their way to make this work for us. I'm deeply appreciative of the work they did for our child and the flexibility they demonstrated with some of my last-minute design tweaks. This is an easy recommend from me.

Our 17-year-old home was in need of some updating. Being heavy on entertaining, we wanted…read moresomething that looked great while being sustainable. The first refresh project was a powder room with an overhaul of paint, tile, and custom vanity. Originally, we were planning on putting in a new pedestal sink as we were afraid of vessel sinks from big-box Home Depot/Lowes due to many reviewers stating the prefabricated vessel sink kits are cheap and will start cracking. In working with Dan, he had provided us an option of a high-quality/solid customizable cabinet, a variety of countertops (went with quartz), and a beautiful marble vessel sink bowl that would last a very long time. The next refresh project was the basement with an overhaul of paint and flooring. The basement flooring is well over 2,000 square feet and we wanted to make sure it was perfect. Dan provided us with many ideas and even introduced us to LVT flooring. LVT was the perfect fit as the product looks beautiful while being able to handle tons of foot traffic, able to handle the environmental changes of a completely underground basement and be friendlier with my budget vs. real hardwood. Upon completing all this, we looked at our basement bath and hated it! Originally, it had a standard builder grade cultured marble and gold cabinet knobs. Dan knew we did not want to break the bank on this and recommended we merely change the stone on top of our old cabinet, use oil rubbed bronze faucet and cabinet knobs, change the standard flat finish mirror to something more designer, and paint an accent color behind it. The results are clear as day in the photos. Dan did not try and upsell us, he looked thoroughly at the cabinet's condition and told us there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Our experiences with Top Marble and Granite have been positive and we would definitely recommend them. We surely will be in contact soon for remodeling our kitchen and remaining baths on the upper level!

They replaced our kitchen countertops and built us a light-up custom wet bar in our basement. Dan has an excellent eye for design and helped us through the entire process. He picked out great slabs from our selections and lined up the veins perfectly between the cuts. He came up with creative, modern ways of enhancing the islands and we couldn't be happier with the results! He communicates well, is very knowledgable and a great guy to work with! Thank you Dan and team!

We worked with Nilay in this process and it couldn't have been smoother. I contacted VM&A in late…read moresummer after our realtor recommended them for just countertops. I sent her the measurements and she gave me a quote. We went out at the start of Sept on a Saturday to look at their slabs of granite and very quickly chose one. Nilay never tried to upsell at all but answered all my questions about finishes. (We went with a leathered texture and love it!) Once we picked our slab, Nilay scheduled the measurement guy who came the following Monday. The installers came the following week and it was in beautifully. It's perfectly level and the seam is smooth and unobtrusive. We are very happy with it! (Especially now that I'm finished with tiling.) You may find a better price elsewhere, thought I think VM&G is competitive, but I really appreciated their responsiveness, quick turnaround, quality of work, and willingness to work with my very specific needs (save cabinets, close gaps, no granite backsplash, etc.).

This review is long overdue, but I've been meaning to share our wonderful experience with Al, Mike…read moreand their team on the multiple projects they completed for our old, complex house. We converted two rooms plus a hallway into a master suite as well as split two large upstairs rooms into three. We had structural concerns and lots of logistics to work out and I wouldn't trust anyone other than Mike to draw up the plans to make sure everything is safe and up to code. Al oversaw the projects and was in constant communication with us and regularly was on site to make sure everything was going smoothly. If anything wasn't 100% correct or what we had discussed, he would make sure it was remedied. Big shout out to Franz who even showed up to work the day after his wife had a baby! The M3 team worked late days and on weekends (with our consent) to meet their deadlines, even when the county held them up with permitting issues they still worked hard to finish within our timeframe. We even made major changes to our plans after construction had begun and they were able to pivot and help us get more square footage for the upstairs bedrooms. There were also numerous curveballs that they handled with ease (ya never know what you'll get with an old house). This was our first time doing any sort of large project and the team at M3 gave us plenty of guidance and support to make sure the finished product exceeded our expectations. If you want something done right the first time, then I highly recommend contacting M3!! If we stay in this house then you guys won't be done with us yet! -Cristen, Phil and now +2 (!)
