My experience was okay. Alev and Emmie were very helpful when it came to suggesting different quartz based on my kitchen design, and when I went to select the slab. The installers were amazing. What left a bit to be desired was negative interaction with one of the owners on the phone during the install, and the follow-up customer service. The countertop and backsplash are beautiful, but there are dull spots every here and there, and there is a small counter whose texture is rough/bumpy. I contacted them back in November about the issue and never heard back. I'm more than a little disappointed. read more

At the beginning , I select The Lincoln quartz. But in the contract they changed to borghini Lincoln. Since the color is not bad, I was ok with the change. After they placed a quart on my counter. The guy told me my bar-top is not leveled and he will just cut the shim and leave the gap as is. If I want to fix the gap, I have to find the Carpeter to do it or he help caulk or lift up the molding with extra charge $400. Whenever they do remolding, they should expect all the situation they will have. Their job is not just to place a quartz piece over the coutertop or bartop. I paid extra money ask the worker caulking the gap. I am very upset about the their work. read more

This is my first time renovating a kitchen. I am not happy with the countertop experience. The sales person, CJ, never asked me about what edge I wanted or size of the corners. When the gentleman came out to measure, he seemed a bit irritated CJ never asked us these questions. We wound up going with our own sink, since they were overcharging for one. When we paid the balance, they still charged us for the sink. When we called, they agreed to reimburse the $200. They did not. They only gave us part of it back, and are now claiming this is a "credit card return fee" even though the overcharge was there mistake. Please. Horrible customer service. read more

What a horrible experience... - Rude sales employee when we stopped in at the store without our contractor to look at granite choices. -Installers using tools that belonged to me and my contractor without permission. Then laughing it off when confronted about it. -Installers cutting granite in my house on my brand new carpet....it was a rainy day but totally unacceptable not to be cutting the granite outside and cutting it inside my house. I had my countertops replaced and backsplash installed. The selection process was pretty easy. Savannah (I think) was helpful and not pushy with making a decision. I wanted a white stone and she showed me at least five different stone slabs that were stock with varying undertones. After I had my stone choice selected I scheduled my kitchen measurement appointment and showed me who would probably be handling the appointment. Measuring appointment occurred on time and was brief. Since I did measuring myself before hand I knew that were truthful with the square footage that I needed. Others were not. When I dropped off my signed contract and paid my 50% deposit I was able to schedule my installation. There were a couple of miscommunication hiccups such as scheduling the layout of my quartzite and the installation of the backsplash and faucet was going to be done on a different day/time. There were about 90 mins late for the installation. It wasn't that big of a deal, but I would have appreciated a phone call. I would recommend to others. read more

Do not sign a contract until you are 100% sure. They charge you 10% of the total to cancel. If that was the case the sales agent Aysha did not point that out and if line 11 is that binding it should be pointed out. Plus this was quartz, all the slabs are the same! They made $200 off of me driving to their store. I even called within three days of the contract. I spoke to the owner Ramazan Karman and he was not helpful either, he was sorry I signed the contract. Buyer beware! read more

We chose this place to change our counter tops for our kitchen because of the reviews. However, we had an awful experience going through them. After we chose what we wanted at the show room, they said they would come in the afternoon later that week. They came 3 hours early unannounced. I wasn't ready at all and it would have been nice to receive a call from them, letting me know that they were on their way. After they installed the granite, they said they could not fit our cook top all the way back in. It turned out that they had measured our stove top depth wrong, and they did not have an appropriate part to fit it in. We were promised one day installation, but we had to wait one more day to get the parts to use our kitchen. We had talked to the store manager and everything, but they were not accommodating at all. VERY disappointing! I will not be going through them again when we are remodeling. read more

The first time we used them we had several problems with our project. The sales person (who is no longer there)made careless errors. We worked through the issues and the staff at Granite Center did whatever they needed to do to make it right and they did! We had a second project and because of the way they fixed the issues we immediately went back to them. The second time, Cihan handled the project and it was done quickly and PERFECTLY. I contracted with them for tile installation, and the contractor they sent used the wrong material. My backsplash now has to be ripped out and re-installed. The customer service at Granite Center on Davis Drive in Sterling is nonexistent if you have a complaint. When I called them, they argued with me that the installer was an "expert." I contacted Granite Center asking for a refund, and they ignored me. I have filed with BBB and am waiting for resolution. T read more

I had a great experience with this company. Matt, our salesperson, was very helpful from the start. My husband and I emphasized that we wanted cheap granite options because we were only installing prior to selling our condo. He pointed out several options in our color of choice that were on the low-end of their price range. He didn't try to upsell things we didn't need or want, and he was transparent about what the cost would be and what was included. I mentioned seeing a deal on their website but he said it was only a good value if we had a certain square footage (not too small). Our end price came in $300 below the special so I'm grateful that he told me that. Not only that, he came out the very same day to take measurements. There was a 5 day turnaround which was excellent timing and the installers came out on the weekend, added bonus. Matt estimated that it would take three hours for the installation, and the installers arrived exactly on time and finished in exactly three hours. That is just insane to me after dealing with contractors for years who are always late. The installers laid down rolls of carpet so they wouldn't damage our floors and really did a great job. They sealed the granite and told us there is a 2 year warranty (no extra cost) where they could come out to reseal, which is transferable to the new owners. The only issue was that they pushed the oven out and now it won't go all the way back to the wall. The metal hose does not bend so not sure how that happened but it's not noticeable. The granite adjacent to the oven also seems like it wasn't cut exactly straight. Because we're selling it's somewhat insignificant to us and the rest of the counter looks fantastic. We hired the Granite Center to do our countertops for our kitchen. The whole process was really simple and they were very straight forward and reasonable with their pricing. They also have a really nice warehouse where you can see all their stones in person. Cihan was really knowledgeable and helped me pick out the perfect stone to match my cabinets. The install day was very smooth too. The countertops were installed without much issues. I was really worried about them damaging my cabinets since they were builder grade but they took care when removing the old countertop and installing the new ones. The plumber also was detail orientated and made sure the plumbing is neat and organized. Really appreciated their crew and the care they took to install everything. I would definitely hire them again for my future countertop needs! read more

Stick with The Granite Center for Granite. They have superb craftsman that will work to your specifications. Our issue has been with the communication of the status of our bathroom remodel. You really have to be proactive in communication, particularly regarding ordering of materials. I wish they had just told us that they can do the work if we get the supplies and/or work with a designer throughout the process - or if we had known how involved we have to be to keep things moving along. We are fortunate that my husband can work from home. I'm not sure what we would have done if we had to take leave to be available. I wish the communication had been better- this project has dragged out for so long. We must be an ísolated case. I can't imagine they all go this long read more

What an incredible experience, everything went off without a hitch. I learned about Granite Center from The Home Show and was immediately impressed with the staff. Matt came to my house on a Saturday to do the measuring, and to give me some samples. I then went out to their showroom to look at the samples more closely and in larger scale! Matt and CJ could not have been more patient with my endless questions and need for assurance that I've made the right choice (spoiler alert, I did!). Today it was installed, on time, as promised. The installers were professional, courteous and cleaned-up beautifully. Within 10 minutes of them leaving the plumber arrived to reconnect the faucet and garbage disposal, that took all of 15 minutes. When you do go ask for Pete he's the guy you want to talk to he helped us every step to the process we also got an incredible deal. He's got a great eye for what works with your existing granite. We redid our island and already had existing granite on the rest of our kitchen and the one he chose is not only beautiful but definitely a statement piece. He even offered to do the rest of our kitchen at this time we're not ready to do it. I also really appreciate that they take military families into consideration. They're very professional and have a very quick turnaround time. We will definitely be using them again once we finish the rest of our kitchen without a doubt. We had new granite countertops installed in our kitchen by The Granite Center. All went well with the design. We picked out the slab of granite and it seemed smooth and polished in the warehouse. The templating, fabrication and installation similarly went well. The installation team was professional and they sealed the granite before they left telling us not to touch it for 45 minutes. We paid the remainder of the balance before the team vacated the house. We then waited the 45 minutes to ensure everything was set properly. At this point, we wiped off the countertop and found that it was NOT smooth at all. The wet wash cloth snags when attempting to wipe the countertop. We immediately contacted The Granite Center to see what could be done to smooth the granite. We were the told this is the way granite is because The Granite Center does not polish the top of the slab. Since then, several people who also have granite have seen our granite. All agree that this is not the way granite is supposed to be, it is to be polished so that it has a smooth finish. Unfortunately, in ours there are pits, scratches and roughness all over the top. We contacted The Granite Center again hoping that we could fix this situation. After numerous phone conversations, visits to the center, and two people from The Granite Center visiting the house (one person being the owner), we were basically told - it is what it is. We are EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the product we were sold and the fact The Granite Center will do nothing to remedy the situation. Even the owner was unwilling to do anything. They do not stand behind their product. We are sorry we ever went to The Granite Center as they do not stand by their products and wish we had not paid the remainder of the balance. read more

Granite Center is a pleasure to deal with. They did our kitchen countertops about 4 years ago. When it came time to do the same in the bathroom, we went there first. We were just looking, not really sure we wanted to go through with it, but the price quoted to us seemed like such a good deal, we jumped on it. We went in, were greeted right away, and shown into the room with the huge granite slabs. I think it was Ramazan, he was with us the whole time giving us prices for certain types of materials as well as pros and cons. We picked a slab, he gave us a price (I brought my own rough measurements), set up a day for measurement and a day for install less than two weeks away. We were in the store for no more than 30 minutes! So in about 3 hours this afternoon, they removed the old countertops, installed the new with precise caulking, installed new sinks, did all the plumbing hookups, and installed new faucets we supplied. I wish all businesses ran this smoothly! read more

After seeing their exhibit at a spring home remodel expo, I contacted the company, got a free estimate and measurement of countertops and kitchen island, went to their warehouse and decided on an exotic granite slab, white travertine tile, and brush nickel hardware for existing cabinets at a competitive price. They arrived promptly on scheduled date, installed granite, plumbing, and white travertine stone backsplash. granite is nice, but they damaged my floor moving the stove and fridge, they didn't order enough tile for the wall and was promised the whole job would be done by Thanksgiving. I am still waiting for additional tile and grouting and the floor to be replaced, it has been almost three weeks. Phone calls not returned by Manager after I asked he call me. our experience is an absolute disaster. horrible experience. the project coordinators have not cause or concern about our schedule and time. they forgot scheduling our install even though it was talked about in advance. the guys who came to take measurements didn't know what they were doing. the granite cutout for cooktop was horrible and didn't fit. so, we had to pay more to get them to redo the whole granite install. the guys dropped granite on my hardwood floor and caused dings and scratches. the installers walked with dirty boots all over the floor even though I repeatedly told them to wear booties or lay some carpet to walk on. horrible. the second install left huge gaps at joins that they filled with silicone. the bull nose was not smooth. it had many dings and rough patches. horrible horrible horrible! most expensive mistake I had made. read more

Met Barry of the Granite Center at the Home Show at Dulles. They were the highest bid, but I believed we would get our money's worth. The tile subs did a wonderful job. Had to come back twice to fix grout cracking between backsplash and countertop, which is common. I started calling before the end of the warranted period to have them come the second time to fix the cracking, thinking I allowed enough time for the work to settle, and I got jerked around by Granite Center people. First, they could not find my paperwork and after weeks, another woman helped me and started on about how I was past my warranted period. Well, if they found my paperwork, when I called in January, I would not have been out of the warranted period. One should not have to get upset with a company's personnel in order to get warranted repairs made. Also, their countertop installers blew off what my cabinet contractor told me Granite Center had to do to properly support the countertop. By summer, the seal where the two pieces of countertop joined, had cracked and sealing adhesive disappeared. Sent out someone to fix joint, but it is now missing 7" of sealing adhesive towards the back of the seam (all within a 13 month period of initial installation). Spoke to one of the owners Ramazan and he will not fix it, but I have to hire them to come out and fix bad workmanship. After countertop installed, noticed raw, unfinished area near sink, about the size of a quarter. Called Ramazan and talked to him. He was argumentative and told me that it is a natural product and unfinished areas should be expected. Well, I called many granite places and they countered what he said. He sent out a fabricator person, who tried to make the best of a bad situation and while doing so, the repair person found another raw/rough spot. He tried to fix that, as well, but both are not nice looking, especially compared to the surrounding polished countertop. The plumber was a very nice man, but did not properly install the one pipe under the sink and we had a slow leak, which we did not know about until we could not get our cabinet doors to close. This happened last year, under the warranty. The entire cabinet floor was saturated with water and swollen. The plumber came out and tightened the pipe, which should have been done in the first place, but never did Ramazan offer to make repairs to our cabinet base, although our contract stated that he would be responsible for any damage to our cabinets. It took us weeks to dry out the cabinet and we even had to get a mold busting machine. Go someplace else. read more
