After considering several local kitchen design companies, we happened to visit Kitchen Design Center (KDC) in Fairfax. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Selin at the front desk. As we discussed our kitchen redesign project with her, we noticed a display at the front desk that conveyed an openness to creativity and innovation. We knew we had come to the right place. This was not a one-size-fits-all shop. Our townhouse, which is over 20 years old, required a complete kitchen overhaul. Mr. Ray, Selin, and Sarah were incredibly approachable and open to our ideas, even after the final design was approved. On numerous occasions, Mr. Ray, with his extensive expertise, carefully reviewed our suggestions and provided insightful advice. His professional guidance often led us to make more informed decisions, as he would either enhance our recommendations or explain why certain changes wouldn't be ideal, always with well-founded reasoning. Sarah and Selin are certified Sales and Design Specialists, and they demonstrated their expertise in the job. They functioned well together and adjusted to the requirements of the work to be done. Selin was the primary point of contact and the manager for our project. She utilized advanced design software to provide us with a detailed 3-D visualization of our desired layout, allowing us to clearly understand the final look of our kitchen. Selin also ensured smooth communication across the team, efficiently managing all our emails and texts. Sarah contributed to the design with her recommendations for color combination for the counter tops and cabinet color and played a key role in overseeing the implementation. She visited our home regularly to assess progress and gather our feedback. When necessary, she brought Mr. Ray to address any design concerns. The construction team, led by Claudio, was exceptional. His dedication to quality craftsmanship was evident, and he worked closely with the team to ensure that every detail met the project specifications. Claudio, who works exclusively with Mr. Ray demonstrated a high level of trustworthiness and commitment. His team took great care to protect our home, covering furniture and hanging protective plastic to minimize disruption from the construction process. Ray, Bella, Matt and their team at Kitchen Design Center were an absolute dream to work with. KDC was one of several companies that we requested estimates from for our kitchen remodel (i.e., cabinets, counters, backsplash, and windows). We chose them because we loved their proposed design and their estimate was comparable to others. They were also the only company that rendered the design so we could envision our selections. The entire team was professional and very easy to work with. Bella helped us narrow down our choices. She provided useful suggestions to get the look and functionality that we wanted, without dramatically increasing the cost. Matt oversaw the project and kept us informed on next steps and clarified any questions. Claudeo (sp?) and his team that did the construction were punctual and detail-oriented. This was our first renovation project and it was clear on the first day that we were in good hands. They showed up between 8-8:30am and worked until about 5-6pm most days. They even asked to work one Saturday and finished our kitchen in less than three weeks! They not only did an excellent job, but they were very respectful of our home. They were never overly loud (which I appreciated since I work from home) and tidied up every night before they left. I highly recommend KDC! Ms 'B' and Mr. Ray was fantastic to work with. They were very accommodating, patient, and kind as team. They responded all my wife's questions . They were so understanding through several changes and many questions. Out of all the bids we received, KDC was the only one who kept his word on timing. Ms.'B' is so polite and helpful. She did a great design for us. Mr. Ray came to our house on a Saturday and told us the proposal would be ready the next Sunday at his showroom. We went to the showroom and he had everything ready for us. All other companies don't keep their word and some obviously didn't remember some of the things we wanted or didn't want, because their designs were not reflective of what we were looking for. Ms.B and Mr.Ray , they cared about our wishes , and they go out of their way to help and anticipate our needs. They were always very responsive via email and phone when we needed them. Now we have amazing kitchen . Our cabinets are so quality. We went with Starmark cabinetry. They also helped us with pricing. You can find many cabinet options in the showroom. I highly recommend you call these guys and will do so myself in the future for remodel our bathroom too! read more

When we started looking into remodeling our kitchen during the pandemic, we were surprised by how unresponsive contractors were in giving us an estimate. However KDC was different from the start. When we called them, they were able to come out that same day and provided us with a 3-D rendering within a few days. After that we spent a few weeks fine-tuning the details, picking materials and Ray and Bella were helpful in making those selections. I really appreciated working with Ray because he was so patient and attentive, listening to our needs and making sure that he followed through with all of our requests. The job started on the date specified and ended on time. Most contractors quoted a 4-6 week project but KDC was able to complete the project within 3 weeks. Towards the end, I felt that the contractors were rushed leaving some loose ends but for any outstanding items, Ray was able to reconcile with the punch list and take care of most things to our satisfaction. Any kitchen project could be stressful but thankful we were able to work with Ray and KDC on our kitchen project. We really love our new kitchen! read more

KITCHEN DESIGN CENTER helped us with our Kitchen and Master Bathroom. We bought the tiles, counter tops and cabinets. Ms.'B' and Mr.Ray are so friendly and helpful. Ms.'B' did a good job with our kitchen design. Mr.Ray came to our house and took measurement and discussed with us the process. He helped us to chose right products and guided to us for the project. They are professional as a team. The best thing that we liked about them , they had good communication with customers. They always replied our e-mails in a minute. They never became rude in spite of our nonstop questions. They treat it as their own. For first time house buyers like us, they suggest and guide us on what is best for us. One of the main reason people struggle is to visualize how it will look like, and for that they have highly efficient designing team, who creates the design for you to have more clear picture. Choosing KDC for our kitchen was a very disappointing experience, largely due to poor customer service and lack of professionalism. Despite our contract terms, they requested full payment upfront and once paid, their responsiveness and accountability dropped significantly. We dealt with many delays, measurement issues, and inconsistent communication. The project ended up costing 30% more than quoted for very avoidable issues, and I had to pay thousands additional just to complete final punch list items. There was no final walkthrough, no project closeout, and no sense of ownership from KDC over the outcome whatsoever. Communication with their team was unpredictable and often frustrating. Overall, both the customer experience and the final results fell well short of expectations. I cannot underscore how disappointing this is considering the cost and effort that goes into a kitchen renovation. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

My husband and I selected the Kitchen Design Center for our kitchen renovation project based upon Mr. Ray Aksoy's extensive knowledge of cabinetry and countertops and his years of experience designing kitchens. We met with his team, Selin and Sarah in their showroom to come up with a layout that incorporated our wishes. Using their Architectural design software, they generated a 3-D model for us to modify while we worked through the design requirements. At the end of our 3+ hour session, we walked away delighted with the results and felt the time spent was very worthwhile, leaving us without any concerns.The cabinets were delivered on schedule. We were impressed with KDC personnel from start to finish. We met consultant Selin when we began our search for quality cabinets for updates to three bathrooms. At the store, she was friendly, patient and thoughtful in helping us select vanities, countertops, tiles and hardware from KDC's many offerings. We did not feel rushed or pressured during our multiple visits. Manager Ray visited our home several times to ensure measurements were accurate. He showed his expertise by identifying installation issues specific to each bath and provided solutions by customizing products and talking directly to our contractor. We purchased our kitchen cabinets from Kitchen Design Center in November of 2018 and installed them ourselves. They installed the quartz countertops. The experience was nothing less than perfect. So we decided this year to install new cabinets and a quartz countertop in our laundry room. Once again we purchased from KDC and the expectations were exceeded. Bella and her team did an amazing job renovating our kitchen. They were punctual and communicated well as changes were needed. It looks fantastic now, and we've loved using the new kitchen for the past month. They completed the projects two weeks ahead of schedule, and they were prepared to deal with appliance delivery issues if they happened (thankfully nothing major). They took out a wall and made sure to get our electrical outlets in order so we'd have everything we need to use the kitchen fully. We also weren't sure what we'd find under the old floors, and they were able to take those out and match all the wood colors together so it looks seamless. Having just moved to NoVA recently, I was very apprehensive about working with a design team for my kitchen project. Kitchen Design Center and their professional team really put me at ease. Bella is fantastic architect and designer and she had a great eye for the look and quality I was going for. Ray, as the project manger, really put together an impressive project plan and caught a lot of issues which both saved me money and improved the quality of the project. We purchased our countertop from Kitchen Design Center and we couldn't be more pleased!! Our contractor had moved up our kitchen start date and we had to quickly find a countertop. At the showroom, we told Bella about our time crunch and she directed us to their warehouse so that we could see the quartz that they had in stock. Luckily, they had what we wanted and were able to measure and have it delivered quickly. Raja helped us at the warehouse, Ray came to our house to measure and Bella quickly got back to us regarding any questions that we had. My experience here was great! They did countertops for my new home it was great, staff was really helpful and quick, everybody was on time. I went to their warehouse which is huge and full of nice variety of granite and quartz slabs. I picked the Delicatus White granite that they import directly from Brazil. Installation took them only half of a day. I couldn't t be happier. Especially Ray who helped me through the whole process was very professional.
