We had our bathroom remodeled and had nothing but issues from the start to include bathtub ruined, bad fans, mirrors and they had to come and paint two times since it bubbled. It has bubbled again and for the past two hours I have had to scrape the walls and will need to prime and paint these again. I am certain that you painted without primer and not the proper paint. Now the extra coats and labor I have to do. I hope that the drywall was installed properly since nothing else was. Honestly for the cost it was not worth it. It was crap workmanship for the beginning and the tub is still not finished properly since you scrapped it and they came several times to fix this. This is our second home project with VK&B. The first was a kitchen and minor powder room addition, and the most recent one was a bathroom in our guest house. We've been pleased with the outcome of both projects. They've done quality work for us. One thing that stands out for me is their flexibility. We've been on long trips during both jobs, which would normally make me very nervous about not seeing progress. But I was able to facetime with the crew for issues/questions/updates and they sent pictures every couple of days. I also appreciate their willingness to come back to address issues after the project is done. Their nice people, too. All in all - I'm pleased. VK&B remodeled my kitchen in the fall of 2021. I have nothing but the highest regard for this company, their ethical standards, efficiency, honesty, professionalism, respect for my time and property, and for me. It happened by chance that I reserved an appointment with Dale who is a designer for VK&B. To my surprise, Dale turned out to be pleasant, an excellent listener and observer, a no nonsense "if-I -don't-need-it-why-pay-for-it" design advisor. He spent several hours (fully masked) in my newly purchased home, discussing and discovering my kitchen needs. Then he came back and remeasured for the project, before he designed my new kitchen. After a design was agreed upon by both of us, we met at the VK&B showroom to pick out cabinet colors/styles and backsplash. Everything was well planned and thought out by Dale. He is quite obviously, "a-one" in his profession. His professional, yet friendly demeanor makes him easy to work with. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Andy and his "Team Edgar" were assigned my kitchen project. I cannot praise them enough! They arrived as scheduled each day. Every day that they worked, they cleaned up after themselves. They were respectful of my space and time. I received daily updates about arrival time, what was expected to be done and completion reports from Andy. The entire team were very, very good at their jobs and worked very cohesively. Andy and Team Edgar are clearly artisans. The backsplash tiles were tough to grout because they have a wavy texture. The job they did was incredible. I get compliments with every visit! It took just under a month from demo (10/22-11/18) to completion of my beautiful new kitchen. (There were some delays regarding not enough tiles and no door handles. Those were handled with utmost professionalism and speed.) Sertac, who represents VK&B was always polite and resepectful. He answered all my questions as soon as I texted or called. During the backsplash and door handle delays, he kept me in the loop well enough that I wasn't concerned. In fact, the backsplash tiles came in a week before they were scheduled-I was thrilled to have my kitchen ready for Thanksgiving! Lastly, one of the town electric inspector was bent on giving me a hard time. He failed the kitchen inspection twice, was angry at my very existence, refused to answer my questions related to the failed inspection. VK&B, and Sertac called the town to reschedule a third inspection and waited outside my home for almost 4 hours for the inspector to return. Because Sertac was present for the (third) inspection and because he advocated for a different inspector, my kitchen was given the green light! This was above and beyond what most contractors would do. I've had some remodelling done in previous homes but nothing ever proceeded as easily as this. I am surprised and elated at how well the entire project went. This would've been amazing in regular time, during Covid times, VK&B, Dale, Andy, Team Edgar and Sertac outdid themselves. VK&B has higher standards of customer service than any service or retail company I have ever encountered. The fact that they maintain these standards and are consistent throughout their departments allows me to recommend them 100%. If and when I have any more kitchen or bathroom remodelling to get done, VK&B will be my ONLY CHOICE. Don't hesitate to call them if you are looking to remodel. read more

We were allowed multiple trips to their design center; creating floor plans was great as they are extremely competent in this area. Bo and Leon walked us through a couple options; from there they allowed us to work and move things on the fly until the design was exactly what we wanted. The price was extremely competitive. The work started on time; the contractors were super friendly and did excellent work. The project manager was super professional. We enjoyed working with everyone along the chain. The project was delivered faster than estimated which was amazing. The project manager and workers went out of their way to address all our concerns before officially leaving the job completed. From beginning to end, our experience with Virginia Kitchen and bath was outstanding. They are excellent, and we are already planning our next projects with them. We used them for a major kitchen remodel that involved not just updating the cabinetry and appliances but also knocking down walls and replacing all of the flooring on the main level. The salesman, Dale, is knowledgeable and affable -- the kind of guy you would want to advise you on both the design and technical aspects of a remodel AND have a beer with afterward. Just a good guy. He was patient with our innumerable detailed questions and decisions and indecisions about how we wanted things done. Martese was our project manager and made sure that everything was performed on time and in the right sequence so that things went quickly and smoothly. But the real heroes of the project were Cesar and Juan, who did the work. They were remarkably fast, and Cesar -- who apparently was the on-site supervisor for the project -- had a key eye for detail, answered our many questions, and entertained requests for tweaks and corrections to the work. We've never undertaken a big remodel like this, and I was concerned that it could be a major hassle or project from hell, but not with these guys. Highly recommended! read more

- Sartac (our Project Manager) -- 5 stars - Oscar (our Contractor) -- 5 stars Renovations are always a stressful project. You just don't know how the contractors will be, whether or not they will finish the job on time, do we need to follow-up all the time etc. etc. We just renovated our master bathroom with 'Virginia Kitchen and Bath (VKB)' and I must say, after the initial hiccups, the entire experience was amazing. They finished our entire master bathroom in 9 days (estimated time was 3 weeks), and we are sooo happy with the results. We heard about 'VKB' from one of the home magazines that came to our house. I googled them and found decent reviews. I actually had 3 companies come to our house for quotes, and I found VKB the most professional. Leon and Bo came to our house, took measurements of the bathroom, and met us a week later at their Herndon showroom. The price they quoted was above our budget, but the other two companies quoted us around the same, so we actually decided to go with them. Leon helped us pick all the supplies (tiles, tub, shower, vanity etc) at the showroom itself. I loved the design they came up with. After spending about 2 hours there, we signed the contract, and waited to hear back. After about a week or so, Leon came back to our house with a Project Manager, Alex, who was assigned to us. We made the first payment, met with Alex, and felt great. This was mid-November. Alex informed us that the vanity will take 4-6 weeks, so around end of December. He said he was busy with other projects, so the work in our house would start third week of January. Negatives -- The only thing we did not like about VKB was the lack of communication between the first payment and when the work was to get started. There was absolutely no communication for over 5 weeks. I finally emailed Leon and Alex, but got no response. Then I called and Leon said he would find out the status of the vanity. I called again and Alex picked up. He seemed disinterested and said vanity still hasn't arrived and he would call me back. Two weeks went by and there was no call from Alex or Leon. The second week of January arrived and I was super frustrated. We were spending close to $30K on this project. Why was I calling and trying to reach these guys? I called and Alex picked up. He seemed annoyed at me for calling. He said he would call me a week before the project was to start. Well - I was calling a week before the project was to start, so not sure what he was talking about. I did not appreciate his attitude at all. After a few days, I got a call from another Project Manager, Sartac. He informed me that Alex was not well, and he would be the new project manager. I was a bit taken back. Alex was not well that day, but was he expecting to be unwell for two months? Changing project managers at the last minute can cause lots of issues. I was skeptical and super worried. I am sooo glad that we got Sartac as our Project Manager. He was always super responsive. He gave me his cell number (something that Alex never gave us). He always responded to texts/phone calls. He informed us that the vanity still had not arrived. The order was placed in November and the vanity had not arrived two months later??? I read behind the lines that Alex never ordered our vanity on time. He either forgot or had other things going on. Alex probably ordered our vanity end of December when I emailed him. This whole mix-up is the reason I took off a star. This time was very stressful for us. Sartac and Oscar were simply amazing. Oscar and his crew were at our house daily at 8:30 AM sharp. We never had to follow-up. Sartac came over daily to check the status. Even when our vanity was delayed, he kept us informed and was always available. I am soooo happy with the way our bathroom turned up and cannot thank Sartac and Oscar enough. We do plan to renovate our other bathrooms and kitchen in the future, and will only be working with Sartac and Oscar. I am sure Alex is a great PM (as mentioned in other reviews). But he did not work out for us. I would have appreciated better communication from him. It would have been great if Leon had reached out to us regarding the change in Project Manager. But I'll let that all go, thanks to the amazing results we got. Thank you VKB and thank you Sartac and Oscar!!!! read more

We had our master and hallway bathrooms renovated in March 2019. It was a pleasure working with Leon and Bo to select our materials; they answered all our questions promptly and their suggestions were very helpful, since we had not undertaken a renovation like this before. We liked that there were no hidden upcharges for materials, as Leon made sure to tell us which selections were included in our contract. After the Demo was finished in the first bathroom, we found out that both bathrooms needed to be done at the same time due to heavy leakage. We were not expecting this (we though we could get one bathroom done, then the other). But Sertac, our project manager, was fantastic; he made sure our project was on time and on budget. Our crew, led by Oscar, was AMAZING; they came every day and stayed all day until the job was completed, and they were very polite. We were very happy with the high quality of their work, and our bathrooms are GORGEOUS!! We highly recommend VA Kitchen and Bath!! read more

I decided to use VK+B for my second remodel as they apologized profusely after my last experience and promised a different team for my next project. I decided to take the offer, as I'd liked working with them in the past. I had a new Project Manager, Marquise, and he did a great job. The team who did the work were on time every day, worked consistently when on site, and took pride in their work. There were a few small things that they had to come back to fix, and they did a nice job on those. Overall we were very pleased with their work and we love our new bathroom. Dale is, as always, the absolute best. He helped me pick out surfaces I would like, even when I was very indecisive. I'm comfortable referring others to them again. All in all I'm glad we're back on track as having a vendor that you trust is hard to find. I wish they did a broader base of work and I'd use them for everything. read more

I visited this place only once and I am hoping to visit again. I loved talking to the manager about their process and what they offer for their clients. It is a cozy, very nice showroom with multiple kitchen, bathroom and closet selections. What they do is to basically cover every step of kitchen and bathroom remodeling so that we don't have to shop around. What I liked is that they are not focused on one particular line and that they have both modern, traditional and farmhouse lines both for kitchen and bathroom. VKB did an outstanding job in remodeling our two upstairs bathrooms. This was a major project - both bathrooms totally stripped down, then recabnetted, retiled, all new light fixtures and plumbing. The crew chief "Klever" and his workers are professionals. Good coordination with the VKB rep "Sertac" There were a couple of errors made - water leakage to our kitchen ceiling and some nail "pops" to adjoining walls. In all cases repairs were made, and the repaired areas were as good as new. I would definitely use VKB again, and recommend them highly. read more

Almost three years ago, Virginia Kitchen and Bath remodeled our bathrooms, so we chose them again for our kitchen and family room project. It was great to work with Leon and Bo for the design. Our 34-year old kitchen was very small and somewhat isolated from the family room. We appreciated their ideas to make the two rooms flow together with walls being removed and new flooring installed. They helped us select white cabinets, white quartz countertops, and a medium color of wood flooring in the kitchen, family room, and hallway to the garage. We love the open spaces, improved lighting, and light colors. Everything looks so nice and bright! Martise was a fantastic project manager! He was especially good at keeping us informed and answering our calls and emails. We had a few problems with the walls and cabinets, and he solved everything quickly. He was even dedicated enough to drive to Arlington on a rainy night in heavy traffic to make sure our cabinet parts were here in time for installation the next day. We were so happy to have Edison as our lead remodeler again! We knew his expertise and attention to detail would result in an excellent outcome. He and his nephew Harold were very considerate of our home and cleaned up every day; they were patient with us having to walk through their "construction zone" many times a day with our little granddaughter. We are looking forward to showing off our kitchen to our friends and neighbors and will be sure to recommend Virginia Kitchen to all of them! read more

WARNING!!! Run, don't walk, away from this company! I spent months having contractors come and give us bids on our bathroom/laundry room/hallway/floor renovation. I went with VA Kitchen and Bath because they had the best price and had good reviews. I canNOT believe how different our experience was. First of all - beware!! They have the best price because if you don't read the small print, they have left off half of what the job is -- only to add it later once you've realized it and paid the deposit which doesn't make them any less expensive than the rest. I went over the job twice in my home - first with the salesman and the second time with the project manager, in EXTENSIVE detail, even showing exact pictures of what I wanted. The price they gave me didn't include approx. $3,000 worth of things that it should have and of course I didn't find this out until I had already paid the deposit. Ok, so now we are stuck with this company, but I'm thinking - it's fine, they had good reviews, it will be good. The salesman asked that I meet him at the office to drop off a check and the company owner was there. This man is the absolute worst. He patronized me and clearly doesn't respect woman and proceeded to tell me (when I asked why many items weren't included on the original bid) that I better not complain because this was too good of a price and I shouldn't have gotten that good price to start with.....This was just a forecast of what to expect from this company. Once they had my $7,000 deposit, we didn't hear from anyone for over a month. I emailed the sales guys so many times I can't even count to ask simple question like "what will the shower door look like" - it took no less than 5 emails to get a response. We called several times and finally got a hold of someone (no one we had spoken to before) who told us they would start on Jan X. which was two weeks away and nearly 2 MONTHS after we paid deposit. Never heard another word from them so at this point we aren't 100% sure they were showing up, but I work from home so no big deal if they don't. They did show up but the original project manager who we had discussed the job in detail with was not there. It was some other guy who walked in and asked what the scope of work was......WHAT?! This company sent someone out to a job to start construction and this guy didn't even know what we were doing. SHOCKED. So, AGAIN, I went into detail about what we wanted. He had a folder of what we had already gone over with everyone else, but clearly hadn't even peeked at it before showing up. He was a very nice guy, but still - what kind of business are these people running. So, demo starts that day. Day 1 and 2 of demo, day 3 no one shows up. Day 4 and 5 the workmen are there for a total of 1 hour each day. Wow, I'm thinking this will take forever. Then the tile guys show up. One guy spends all day putting down the floor tile just to pull it up at the end of the day after he had made all the cuts because it didn't fit correctly. So, I had to go get more tile (ANOTHER additional expense.). The second day the floor tile guy comes - half way through the day his entire family shows up - wife, 2 kids, everyone, and opens the door to my house and walks upstairs to where he's working without saying a word to me. I was again SHOCKED. Who just walks in someones house they don't know and brings their 2 kids trampling throughout my house. It didn't really matter in the end because they snow/mud/etc on their shoes only got on the carpet flooring we were planning to remove anyway - but STILL. Again thinking - 'what kind of company is this.' But..we are WAY to far in at this point. Va Kitchen and Bath told me they have their own crews who do the work, but I do NOT believe this at all. There was one main guy, Wilson, who was there daily and he is the nicest man alive - he deserves a better company. The subcontractors were different every day. So, at this point we've had extremely poor communication, no show on the project manager, guy that showed up didn't know what was to be done on day 1, no show on a couple work days,flooring initially installed incorrectly. What else could go wrong?? So the project manager shows up at the end of week 3 and tells me the second check I wrote for $5000 was lost and asks me to write a new one. I say I need to check my bank first. Well, low and behold - the check has already been cashed. I don't know if they were trying to get more money out of me but obviously I wasn't falling for it. Now - nearly 2 months after the project is "finished" Our sink in our laundry room doesn't work and the shower in the bath leaks constantly. I've called/text/emailed. NOTHING. I guess there's no warranty. JUST NO!! DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL NOT SAVE MONEY OR GET THE JOB YOU WANT DONE!!! read more

They were the only company I interviewed to give us a price without asking me first for my budget and to include a design of our kitchen together with the quote. All members of the team, from the owner, to the project manager, and down to the work guys, were knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. The project moved efficiently from one stage to another without any glitches in the communications. They also hit the right balance between offering helpful advice without intruding on our choices which is a great plus for someone inexperienced like me who has never done such a major renovation. We hired VKB to remodel our kitchen about a year and a half ago. Recently, we noticed an issue with the flooring that was replaced and contacted them. Kemal was VERY prompt in his response. Shortly thereafter, he came out to take a look, acknowledged another customer experienced a similar issue, and suggested a future plan of action. We met with Leon for our free design consultation and he shared with us his wealth of experience and wisdom. I just had a terrible experience with VK & B remodeling my hallway bath.The whole process took 2 weeks from 9/6 to 9/20/2018. The workers, Alex, Oscar were interested in getting work done fast. They failed to follow industrial standard, manufacturer's installation guideline. The bathtub wall installation of Durock cement boards were removed because Alex did not fill the joints with mortar and did not apply mesh joint tape. The bathroom floor installation were removed twice. The first flooring Alex only laid down the Durock without any mortar bed nor any screws nor mesh joint tape, then he immediately laid tiles on top. We had Alex removed all the tiles and all the Durock underneath down to the plywood subfloor. The second flooring Alex put mortar underneath Durock and used mesh tape but failed to fasten the Durock to the plywood subfloor with screws. My husband and I had to take off work to stay at our property to watch the workers so they did not skip crucial steps, cutting corner.This is our rental house with the tenant stay there at all time. The second flooring was removed easily just like the first one because there was no screw. I have photos showing the mistakes on the bathtub walls and the bathroom floor. I called VK&B to voice my dissatisfaction. A man told me to send an email to VK&B attention to JOHNY. This person is rude, argumentative. I feel SO fortunate to have found Virginia Kitchen and Bath and can't say enough GREAT things about my experience. Dale was my kitchen designer. Our space had a few tricky components and we had a pretty big wish list. From his initial consultation we knew we would be moving forward with this company! Dale had such great ideas and completely thought outside of the box to help us create a custom look and feel within our budget. He is SO creative and thoughtful in his designs, and the visuals he provided really helped us make decisions and feel confident in moving forward. We also had the pleasure of working with Matt to order and have our cabinets delivered, and he was always super responsive, thorough and made us feel like our happiness was a priority. The project manager Baruk was very responsive to our requests, and our site lead Alejandro was extremely helpful with his design suggestions and workmanship. We contracted Virginia Kitchen & Bath to replace old flooring with new laminate and redo our backsplash in the kitchen. We were promised 1 week delivery time. It was the week before Thanksgiving week and I emphasized many times how important for me to have my kitchen done on time and the floor, of course, since we had people coming over for Thanksgiving dinner. The work started on Monday and everything was completed on Saturday of the same week. We were more that satisfied with the results! I had four days before the Thanksgiving to move furniture back and clean the house. The price I think was very reasonable for the amount of work that was done. In some reviews people mentioned on how the working crew keeps the place clean. It is a total true. They cleaned up every day. We will definitely come back as customers when we are ready for another project. P.S. If you need to redo the floor , ask for Rosario, he is great! read more

My experience with Virginia kitchen and bath was wonderful. Starting with Tara who completed the design for me which was tricky as I was having a wall taken out. She had done great ideas also got color schemes etc. Next Matt and Andy and their crew also did a great job with the actual work. High quality work completed very timely. They also worked well with my schedule as I wasn't available everyday to have work completed. Finally they accommodated my use of another contractor to do the floors which complicated their work a bit but they were true pros about it. I love my new kitchen. read more

I used Virginia kitchen and bath again. For a big project. What a mess. The kitchen reno looked great but the first day I tried to cook the entire sink garbage disposal dishwasher connection broke down and backed up. VKB claimed it was because the house pipes were old! Wanted to charge me for the repair. They moved the sink. Redirected the pipes, put in the new garbage disposal and installed the new dishwasher. How was this my fault?!?! Unfortunately I had been pressured by them to make a final payment before they had finished the job. Contrary to the contract. The pipes were fixed but they never returned to follow up on the two year warranty that came with all this work. Since the completion a year ago many things have broken and I have brought in electricians and plumbers who are shocked by the shoddy work of VKB. The small job I originally had them perform had issues as well. Since they don't back their work I can't call for any repairs of warranty work. Buyer beware. Get an inspector if you use this company! read more

We saw an ad for this business showing $7,900 for a complete kitchen remodeling for a 10x10 kitchen. So we thought it was worth a try. The sales representative then explains this is based on the cabinets on a particular display and a certain grade of granite. Fine. However, when asked questions like whether the cabinets were solid wood, what the warranty was on this line, the brand name, etc. He was evasive and had the gall to say that he didn't know what the warranty was because "no customer has ever complained." He then said it was 3 years, and when I made a face, he consulted with someone else and then claimed it was 10 years. He said the cabinets were from New Jersey, implying they were American made. I did not trust anything that he said as he seemed only interested in getting a commission. We didn't waste too much of our time here, thankfully, because the next kitchen remodeling place we went to happened to have the same line of cabinets, Forevermark. There, they were kind enough to give me a brochure for this cabinet line, which states it has a 2-5 yr warranty. It also states that it is made in China, NOT New Jersey. The cabinets are simply stored in a warehouse in NJ. So if you want to have your intelligence insulted and like being ripped off, by all means, Virginia Kitchen and Bath is the place. read more

We hired Virginia Kitchen and Bath to redo 3 bathrooms in our home that were in desperate need of updating, both cosmetically and physically! We met with several potential contractors, and the folks at VK&B were the most helpful in guiding us in the selection of products and materials that would fit our budget. The 3-man crew they sent (Jose, Marco, and Arquiles) did a great job! They completely gutted the two full baths and took all but the walls in the powder room. They took care to cover floors and furniture to protect them from the construction dust, cleaned up every day before leaving for the evening, and made every effort to reduce noise and interruption to our daily routines. As with many projects like this, I changed my mind mid-stream several times, requesting changes to fixture location and/or style, and Jose and his crew took them in stride. It took almost 3 weeks, but the results are amazing! We truly appreciate the professionalism of all the folks we interacted with, the care they took to ensure that we were not inconvenienced, and the amazing new look in all three bathrooms! All done with a smile - and within budget! read more
