I walked into their Alexandria location mid June 2020 to discuss a kitchen remodel. I handed the…read moredesigner some papers that provided details of what I wanted. I requested that the entire kitchen design for the above cabinets remain the same measurements as I currently had. However, I wanted a lazy Susan in the corner unit below, and that meant changing the measurements of some of the bottom cabinets to fit it. I knew what cabinets I wanted. I knew what color theme I wanted. I picked out the color of the cabinets quickly. However, the whole design process from start to finish took 10 weeks. The designer told me he was very busy. I just needed to select the tiles for the floor and the backsplash. Once I left the designer a message that if I didn't meet him that weekend to nail down the tile selection, then I needed to cancel the entire job, he became available to meet with me to look at tiles together. I wanted the work to be done in November so it would be finished for the holidays. The crew was terrific. They were skilled. They were polite. They were very patient with me. I was working from home daily. So, I was always available to ask questions and oversee their work. A few issues came up that I believe was the fault of lack of detail during the design process. The top corner cabinet didn't come with shelves as I requested, but with a rotating round shelving unit. The cabinet above the sink was 3" shorter than my directions in writing that I handed the designer. So, these items had to be re-ordered and didn't come in until early January. Each time I tried to call and email the designer to ask him about these mistakes, he didn't respond. I worked with Luisa, the project manager. While she was never on site during the renovation, she always took my calls or called me back quickly (the same as emails). Frankly, I think Luisa should have been the designer for me and worked with me throughout the entire process. I don't think it was effective to have one "designer" come to my house twice and be available to meet me in the store to later hand it all over to the project manager. I probably feel this way because I didn't really need real design help. I knew what design I wanted from the start. I just needed advice to help me pick out the tiles.

We remodeled three bathrooms the previous year with another company, which had a lower estimate than WellCraft. Wish we had gone with WellCraft for all of the remodeling, as it would have been money well spent. WellCraft did what they said they would do, on time and on budget. Throughout the project, they listened and gave sound advice. Any remodel is disruptive, but WellCraft made the process as painless as possible. They were also flexible, and respectful of our time and privacy. Ali made creative suggestions on design, and brothers Jose and Steve executed with a high degree of skill and craftmanship. I especially note Jose's work ethic--it was amazing what one man could accomplish in a day.

From the beginning, all the way to the end product WellCraft made the whole project seamless for me while also ensuring all the details were to my standards. Sara, who was in charge of the design, walked me through every detail and made the design/consultation fun. She did a very good job at bringing my vision of the bathroom into life while also recommending materials that would best compliment each other. As far as the actual construction, they worked in a very timely manner, and completed the work within the deadline I provided. All of the construction details were thoroughly looked over throughout the entire process. The tile work is beautiful and makes everything look so clean! Overall, I am absolutely in love with our new bathroom, it really makes our house pop and I enjoy using it everyday. Highly recommend this company for your next bathroom renovation!

I never used them. I tried for weeks to get an appointment for someone to come out to our home…read more After, I was supposed to go to their showroom to look at things and discuss design. The designer's first available appointment was three weeks out. Okay, that's fine, I can wait. The day of her appointment--she canceled on me saying she was sick. She never sent anyone to reschedule or even told her company. I checked in after a week to reschedule. She said she was still out. Nothing else. No backup person. After the third week I called the company. They didn't even know about me, my appointment etc. They also said there's no one else to help me. They can forward me to the manager but I basically just need to wait for Sena to come back. Terrible customer service. Unreliable. I chose to take my business elsewhere. If a company is 100% reliant on one designer --and doesn't have a backup to help customers -- I can't imagine if I did do business with them and something happened that needed mediation. Who do you go to? Who is the next person to step in? Basically you just wait...I support smaller businesses. If they called me to explain and kept in communication it would have been better. But when i called they didn't even know about my appointment.

REVIEW FOR YELP DREAM DESIGN…read more The Dream Design Construction Team was Awesome! We wanted to remove the wall between the dinning room and kitchen to open up the space. We researched many, and obtained quotes from three contractors, one less expensive and one more expensive. Luckily, we decided on Dream Design Construction. Design We had a specific (non-conventional) design in mind, i.e. not the typical big island layout. Additionally, we wanted to add a full bath, a custom pantry, barn doors, and new kitchen windows, flooring etc. We stopped by Dream Design Construction and Yong engineered the design we envisioned that day! Allowing us to see it in 3D. He included things we had not thought of like a pot filler, and coffee bar area. The customized outcome is beautiful. Yong came out and took measurements to finalized the design plan. The Design becomes the Blue Print - - Note: Make sure when you sign the contract that you Know which cabinets will have drawers/ no drawers, pull outs, glass doors etc. or a change order may be required. Contract Their contract was very straight forward which helped us to sign quickly. It stated the price and allowances, installation, demo etc. Yong stated his goal is to ensure 100% customer satisfaction, and he honorably did so. Demo After emptying and packing up the kitchen - Demo was quick! The Team put up plastic zipper walls to cordon off the family room, foyer etc. to limit the amount of dust in other rooms, as well as covering vents. The wall between the dining room and kitchen came down! Mr. Nam was great . The team was here by 8 each day and made sure everything was put away each day and left it as tidy as possible. Construction The build out began and the first inspection was passed. I believe Mr. Nam was key to the success - following Yong Yi's drawing/plans Jose did a great job painting, especially the stove hood/vent - just beautiful. Tile Work is extremely beautiful both kitchen and bathroom. Mr. Nam worked hard in so many areas, requesting input for location of cabinet hardware and providing guidance for light switch locations etc. Mr. Lee framed the windows beautifully, and thankfully Bruce encouraged me to include multiple pendant chandeliers which look absolutely beautiful. Mr. Yong was Very easy to work with and assigned Mr. Kim to perform all the "Finishes" ensuring a perfect result. Final Walk thru/Result Inspection #2 The final walk-through and Inspection were flawless with 100% satisfaction! Just when you are tired of construction...you're done! The remodel was completed AHEAD of schedule, including our last-minute alternatives. BOTTOM LINE: EVERYTHING turned out impeccably beautiful! Dream Design was very accommodating with change items that did not affect the Design footprint-like adding an outlet and moldings for wine fridge, as well as barn doors. They were just so easy to work with.

We finalized everything, signed the contract...and then entered remodeling hell. The individual assigned as "project manager" was incompetent and spoke virtually unintelligible English. The workers were rude and left the worksite a disaster each day. I heard them complaining about our dog (and we were careful to keep her away from them). After one day of chaos we left to stay with family for a week and things rapidly deteriorated. Problems popped up (as they will) and I was left dealing with the project manager and their broken English, only to learn they felt I was the problem for leaving the house in their hands while the demolition took place. They ordered the wrong flooring tile. They mismeasured cabinets (leading to a SIX WEEK DELAY due to their error, with no compensation for the disruption). I watched as they laid the floor tile, asking about proper backing board as the previous owner had retiled without the proper backing board. I was told all was fine. 6 months after the project was done I found five cracked tiles. The workers they hired to paint - idiots. They messed up edging of paint leaving crooked lines. In one place, the color I thought was correct (okay, my error) was obviously not correct but they said nothing. The only contractor I thought was good was the electrician and shortly after "completion", I had to call my regular electrician to reinstall a power outlet that kept pulling loose. We HAD planned, based on our initial experience, to use this company to remodel two master baths. At the end of our (3-4 week estimated) 4 month plus project we just wanted them out of our house. We would never use them again, let alone recommend to our worst enemy. Stay away from this company. Stay far, far away.

This is our second 5-Star review for work accomplished on our 57 year old home this year by Vienna…read morePrime Custom Kitchen & Bath (Prime Custom). The first was for the total refurbishment and modernization of our kitchen. This second 5-Star review is for the total refurbishment and modernization of our two upstairs main bathrooms that was recently completed. The bathrooms project was more complicated and costlier than the whole kitchen project. The attached collage of pictures put together by our film editor daughter tells the story. The collage also shows additional floor, wall and baseboard tile work accomplished in a third bathroom. This time around we had the same designer/program manager team Feliz and Nick, but the onsite production manger was Milton who only had a minor roll in the kitchen remodel. We were initially skeptical in this change, due to our prejudice for the outstanding success of the kitchen project. Our fears were almost immediately allayed, and we are so impressed by the results of Team Milton. The quality of work, functionality and aesthetics of the two remodeled bathrooms exceeded our expectations. Additional credit is due to Milton's expertise, recommendations, and patience with us. It is of significant note that this was a totally different production team and validates that Prime Custom is not a one pony show. Whoever shows up will do an outstanding job and exceed the customer's expectations in quality of work, cooperation, cleanliness, and fortitude. We highly recommend that you put Vienna Prime Custom Kitchen & Bath (Prime Custom) on your bidders list.

We replaced our old rotting deck with a beautiful new room addition, designed by WISA, with a…read moresliding door and a side exit that even included a small full bathroom and closet (features that other companies told us would not be possible within the same amount of existing space that we had to work with). WISA's team was wonderful. Everyone did an expert job -- from digging the foundation (lots and lots of dirt needed to be removed!) to extraordinary architectural planning of the project to painstaking attention to every small detail that accentuated the beauty of this space. We especially like that we saw the same team members on a consistent basis (no outsourcing of labor). Everyone arrived on time for the workday and put in their full effort all day long, six days a week -- the excavators, foundation builders, plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, roofing and siding specialists, and, indeed, the entire highly skilled workforce. They found solutions to any and every issue that sometimes cropped up, as to be expected in a large, involved project of this magnitude. The design and project planning team, along with the architect and company heads, were so very helpful in bringing our vision to life. We even went ahead and had old popcorn ceiling removed from our existing living room, dining room, and kitchen and had all those walls and ceilings painted to match our new room addition and had recessed lighting installed in those areas, too (our older home did not have any existing ceiling lighting in our living room) -- so a lot of expert wiring was required to accomplish all this. Additionally, we had WISA install electrical power and lighting to our shed while they were working on all of the other wiring installation work. Our new extension with plenty of large windows to enjoy our treed back yard just adds so much more to the enjoyment of this beautiful extra space. Our back yard was so sloped previously that we couldn't fully use a lot of this additional area effectively before. The new flooring was hand-picked and hand-stained to very closely match our existing floor that this tied into. We now have extra room for family and guests to stay. Not only did the room design and the new large side deck exceed our expectations, instead of renovating an older bathroom as we had planned to do, we decided to go ahead with having a lovely retaining wall and matching pavers installed to fully enhance our new space. This is the first time we've ever had a level pathway across our backyard. It makes everything so much easier! This also corrected previous poor drainage problems affecting our yard, so that was an unexpected added bonus. Our addition turned out better than we could ever have imagined and at a far better price than several quotes we received from other companies. Our initial quote from WISA was easily only half the cost of the quotes from other home improvement companies we contacted. Also, the WISA showroom has just as much selection of products as other companies do; and they will go above and beyond to help you find just the right flooring, tiling, bathroom fixtures, and other options even beyond what they carry in their large onsite showroom. From initial design, to pulling permits, to their advanced experience in coordinating and carrying out plans in compliance with homeowner association (HOA) approval, to final completion of a beautifully constructed new room, deck, and backyard retention wall and paver layout, they are truly top-notch! We are beyond thrilled with our new space and would highly consider WISA for any other projects - like those bathroom renovations - that we plan to tackle in the future! In fact, we have already recommended them to others, as well. This was such a wise decision and a wonderful investment in both the beauty and value of our home! Our room addition is now like a bit of a vacation retreat!

We had already gotten a couple of quotes, but really liked Dan and told them we wanted to move forward. Erika was extremely evasive about a quote. It was getting irritating. After a couple of months I couldn't let her off the hook, I wanted to get this project underway. I had to have an estimate. Her response to me was well "what is your budget." I said "I want what I want. " Again a runaround. She told me how qualified Dan was and any plumbers/craftsman they used and that we need to compare apples to apples. Of course, I understand that. She finally gave me a quote that I thought was quite high. So, in the meantime, I had contacted the manufacturer of the tile to make sure we had a contractor that was qualified to install large format tile. Then, Erika texted me and gave us a 10% discount. "Would that work?" She asked. Mind you, she refused to give us a breakout of any of the costs. I asked about the cost of the shower glass because I knew it was a pass-through. She wouldn't give me that. She also would not give me any itemization. She kept saying whether it comes in lower or higher we absorb the cost/or gain. She said they are different and just give one price. They aren't like other contractors. That's fine, I've never come across that, but they run the risk of losing a client. I got a quote from an equally qualified contractor. Except for Century, he was the highest bidder, but was considerably less expensive. The job is finished and we have a beautiful bathroom - -zero entry (aka walk-in) shower and large format tiles. It's a shame that Erika's evasiveness was very offputting. She seems to handle the business side and Dan does the technical side. As noted above, we were eager to work with them. However, the difficulties with the pricing made it impossible to move forward with them.
