We've worked with numerous contractors before and Bill had several nice touches that we've never seen before, including inviting us to another project that he was working on to see certain finishes that we were thinking about using (the homeowners graciously endorsed Bill FYI) and then having a cleaning crew come for a deep clean once the project was completed. I've done a bathroom remodel before without the help of anyone at Mosaic before this one and now after getting the help of a design professional I'd never want to do without it again! My appointment with Cameron went very well. We definitely needed the full 1.5 hours to go over my preferences, look at images I brought in and pick out tile and then take down specs for estimates. Cameron's tile suggestions seemed be very inline with my own preferences. Plus, I was able to walk around and pick out many attractive tile choices to choose from. Mosaic also has a very large building with quite a few model upscale bathrooms set up to walk around and take a look at to help spark design ideas. Later the same day as my tile consultation, Cameron emailed me her very detailed and accurate architectural drawings of my bathroom showing everything I described to her for the remodel including the tiles, vanity, tub, etc. and contacted my general contractor directly as well. I was very impressed and pleased--considering this was all a free service to customers! I was also able to take home my tile samples to look it all over later in my house. The tile was not cheap of course. I have a relatively small bathroom in my townhouse but it still amounted to well over $2k worth of tile! I know I have expensive tastes but I was hoping my contractor would be able to get me more of a discount! Well, I may have to scale back the amount of tile I'm using and/or hold off on the project to save up more meanwhile but I know exactly what tile I want to go with now!

These guys are total amateurs and should not be in business. My mother was fixing up her house to…read moreput it on the market and went to Crystal to get new granite countertops for her kitchen. She spent almost $3,000 on the granite and install and when they put the granite in there was a half inch between the cabinets and the countertops. The installer pressured my mother, who is a widower, saying everything won't be fine and nobody would notice the shins and glue below the counters. I went over one day to check out the work and immediately noticed what a poor job they did and I told my mom that nobody would buy the house until the work was finished. I called the owners and one of them met us at the house to review the work. He said that this was normal and he's done hundreds of installs like this. He said WE should go to Lowe's to pick up a cheap piece of vinyl that we can glue to cover this defect! I told the owner he should be embarrassed to leave a job like this and that they aren't craftsman but amateurs. He said he isn't a carpenter and that it's not their job to level the countertop. Excuse me, but they have an obligation to do a quality job and if there are additional costs needed to make a nice final product then they should have notified my mom at the time of install! My mom had to hire someone else to come out and do the correct finishing work. Save yourself the headache and go with a reputable company instead of Crystal!

It has bubbled again and for the past two hours I have had to scrape the walls and will need to prime and paint these again. I am certain that you painted without primer and not the proper paint. Now the extra coats and labor I have to do. I hope that the drywall was installed properly since nothing else was. Honestly for the cost it was not worth it. It was crap workmanship for the beginning and the tub is still not finished properly since you scrapped it and they came several times to fix this. I had seen some stuff online via Ferguson's website, but I wanted to actually chat with a person in real life about my proposed project so in that way I could walk through what I was looking for and wanted. We worked with Darin who was fantastic btw! My husband and I sort of went through with what I was looking for which included plumbing fixatures for two bathrooms and a chandelier for our foyer. He was great gave us different options at different price points also he helped figure out what I was trying to explain (I told him I don't know all of the technical names of the things, but he was able to decipher) and help us think through what we needed. Darin super knowledgeable! Now a few other points of advice if you are a first timer, pictures of what you want to do helpful even if they are inspo photos, if you've got space measurements even better. Also, if you are thinking of changing out plumbing perhaps having your preferred plumber come out to give you an idea of materials required for your project (I opted to do it in reverse).

Merrifield Garden Center has a plush abundance of indoor and outdoor plants. We came here looking for evergreen flowering shrubs to replace the gradually and painfully dying shrubs in the beds in front of our house. We looked around their inventory to get an idea of what Merrifield had available. When we were satisfied we were ready to ask questions, a gal nearby appeared and asked if we had any questions. We did, and she answered thoroughly. She also recommended what potting soil to use. There's also a little open air stand out in the shrub section with somebody there available to provide assistance. We settled on several Caventine Andromedas and one Camellia Londontowne Blush. Keeping my fingers crossed that these babies do well in our not the best in the world clay soil. By the way, we also checked out Lowe's and Home Depot to see if they had anything comparable, and they did not.
