I went to Old Town Bath and Kitchen when I needed to replace the cartridge for my bathroom faucet…read more It was an older, higher-end model and come to find out cartridges were hard to get a hold of. Ed, the manager from Old Town B&K, was able to do it! Moreover, he did this over the course of 2 emails and a phone call. He was incredibly helpful in helping me maneuver all of this - dealing with a leaky faucet and a less than interested manufacturer. Unfortunately, the cartridge did not fix the problem and in fact my faucet leak became worst due to internal damage the plumber found. I was soon advised to simply replace the faucet. I emailed Ed and asked for help once again; I sent him a picture of my current faucet and asked what we he could do to help me find something similar. In hours he found multiple alternatives in a great price range - $250 - $350; this was half the price of the faucet I was replacing. The options were all great and I ended up settling on one that I love more than the original faucet. Ed was a savvy advisor that in a few short emails and calls was able to help me find a high quality and beautiful faucet that I love. He was simply SPECTACULAR - especially during a demanding work week and crazy travel schedule. Moreover, Ed worked swiftly to get me the new faucet in two days so I was able to get rid of the leaky one and have a fully operational bathroom again. Simply awesome. And while I feel the mark-up on some of the products seemed a little high, I would surely say it was all worth it considering the amazing customer service and counsel I got from Ed and the team! I plan to return to them for all my bathroom and kitchen needs in the years to come! They were fantastic.

Also please be aware that they seem to have rebranded as Progress Kitchen and Bath, which interestingly does not have a Yelp listing. **** I signed with Kitchen and Bath Shop (now I believe known as Progress Kitchen and Bath) in March 2024 for a project that was to take 30-35 business days. It still is not complete (2+ years later), and I have not had contact from them in over two months. I could provide a very in-depth critique of their operations but here's the key challenges they have: very high staff turnover - I am on project manager #9 (at least) and there is zero communication among project managers. They have very weak permitting capability (I had to develop my own contacts with Alexandria, VA personally). When work was done, it was usually just 1-2 people taking 2 hr lunch breaks. Project managers were almost never on site. I had planned to move to an AirBnB for 3 months to let them work faster. Instead, I ended up there for a year at considerable extra cost to myself. The list goes on - what you need to know is to avoid this group at all costs. One last thing - they seem to change business names, so I suggest asking any kitchen and bath contractor if they are associated with Kitchen and Bath Shop or Progress Kitchen and Bath. If the answer is yes, you can just say no. Stay safe out there.

Yelp - Review for Firuze…read more We hired Firuze for a complete teardown and renovation of a 1,700 square foot, two bedroom, two full bathroom condominium at Montebello, a 1,000 unit condominium complex located just outside of Alexandria, VA. The renovation included lowering the concrete ceilings by 6 inches in the entire unit so sheetrock and recessed lighting could be installed. New tile, hardwood floors, bedroom carpeting, and, heated patio floor were part of this extensive renovation. New wiring and plumbing along with complete kitchen and bathroom renovations were completed. This included removing and moving some walls and adding closets and renovating other closets, as well as all new doors for existing closets, all new light fixtures, vanities, and toilets. The remodel included new tile throughout both bathrooms, including new shower doors and tile. Firuze's design center has the most comprehensive and unique collection of granite, marble, and floor and wall tiles when compared to any others in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The first question we are asked when visitors enter our condo for the first time is, "Where did you find your countertops, cupboards, and floor tile." Thanks to Firuze's great collection of products our condo meets our goal of being a unique, modern and stylish, yet most importantly, a very comfortable place to call home and entertain guests. Like any comprehensive construction or remodel project, there were challenges and problems to solve, yet thanks to Firuze's general manager, Yasin Kazanski, who assumed this position about midway through our project, he ensured that all issues resulting from a problematic contractor were rectified by replacing the original contractor with one who paid meticulous attention to detail, and who completed the project to our satisfaction. We recommend that anyone remodeling a kitchen, bathroom, or other area, check out Firuze's design center for what we think is the best and most unique collection of products in the area. David at KBF miraculously created a new design which (more than) doubled our storage within the existing footprint! In addition the condo's worn (and cheap) cabinets, wallcoverings and countertop were upgraded to beautiful, top-quality, products which will last us many years. The only issue was with payment. The bill was about $450 higher than expected. We double checked the numbers and they included a service plan without asking. We declined the service plan but in the future the customer should be asked if they're interested in it. We knew that the store was going to close soon and were concern that Jason won't have time to talk to us. We pointed that out to the sales person. He told us not to worry, Jason will talk to us. When Jason finally saw us, he quickly said the store is about to close and he had a few minutes to talk to us. We said we checked with with his co-worker about it and he assured us the will see us. To that Jason responded, "did he also told you I have to pick up my child from daycare?" Jason was condescending, arrogant and could not give a hoot about our problem. I asked for someone else to talk to. He said Mohamed will contact us (he is above Jason). I asked for this person contact information, which Jason relay he could not give to us. Furthermore, Mohamed is on vacation. We will have to seat and wait for Mohamed to call us when he returns. Apparently, there no one in the whole company who can assist us but Mohamed.

Wow! Can't say enough about my recent experience with Countertop Depot! Courteous and professional from start to finish. Gokhan provided top notch customer service from the moment I entered the showroom. With decision making not my strong suit, he helped me choose a beautiful quartz from Countertop Depot's large variety of solid surfaces. Ordering was quick and installation was a breeze! The installers showed up on time and began removing my old countertop. Working with various wall and cabinet imperfections they installed the new countertop quickly and efficiently, cleaning up everything as they worked. I chose to have Gokhan provide the plumber to hook everything back up. The coordination between the installers and the plumber worked perfectly. The entire project took about 2 hours. I would definitely recommend Countertop Depot when looking for new countertops. They are the seller and fabricator so there is no third party involved. As a result the price is very reasonable! Shopping for a new kitchen or bathroom countertop? Make this your 1st place before looking elsewhere and wasting your time with other companies. Countertop Depot is outstanding! Great craftsmanship and reasonable rates. An APLUS experience working with Gokhan as well as all the installers with this company. After months of disappointment looking for a bathroom vanity at Home Depot, Lowes and half dozen kitchen supply places, I received a coupon advertising Countertop Depot. Exasperated, I decided to give this company a chance. Within 20 minutes, after calling this company, Gokhan arrived at my home to assure me that where others said "No", this company will do the job and at reasonable price. After such a nice job of completing the bathroom vanity, I had the kitchen counter replaced. Gokhan took extra time to help me select the best piece of granite for the job. They found me the perfectly super white counter top, in a timely manner and under budget I highly recommend, amazing services. I was looking for a super white counter top. I initially found something that seems White enough at Floor and Decors. My contractor insisted that I go checkout Counter Depot. Turned out that what I thought was white, compared to samples at Counter depot had was Not that white. The amazing Gokhan suggested one that seemed perfect. Yet when he received it, he was not satisfied with the product and suggested another one which ended up being much much better. I was amazed by his professionalism and dedication to make his client happy. In less than a week I got a beautiful superwhite counter top and eventhough the supplier changed, they managed to meet the deadline. the installation team was very pro and respectful. everything was left clean. I was remodeling my kitchen and having an awful experience. Between troubles with IKEA and having to fire my contractor, I spent some real time contemplating whether I even needed a kitchen....I like eating cereal out of boxes and microwave burritos have come a long way... Thankfully, my experience with Gokhan at Countertop Depot changed my mind! He was amazingly patient, helpful, and really a pleasure to work with! He gave me advice, offered some recommendations, and, in the end, my countertops are absolutely perfect and were less expensive than all the other quotes I had received. Amazing! The countertops look absolutely stunning. We were most impressed with the level of service Countertop Depot provided. We live in a condo and after the piece didn't fit in the elevator they called a few more guys and carried it up a flight of steps. We went with a waterfall effect and they needed to modify the angle of the waterfall, they modified it same day and came back to finish the installation. Throughout the entire process communication was great. Gokhan was very responsive to our questions and worked with us on our very tight timeline. This company was the right choice! We found out about their service after receiving one of those advertising coupons in the mail. They had full size slabs to view and other larger samples in their showroom. Best of all was the service provided by Gokhan, the store manager. He was absolutely awesome! A great salesman, not pushy, highly knowledgeable, experienced to give great advice, and stood by his promises 100%. Wow, what an amazing job! They came in under budget and over expectations! From no pressure sales in their showroom with listening to our requests to throwing in the kitchen sink (literally), they took great care to make our project feel like it was their number one job. They were able to fit our schedule and install the kitchen counter tops within days while the big box boys were talking about months. Went in on a Saturday; Gokhan was extremely helpful and worked with us find a great choice. Price was so reasonable, we ended up with quartz! Countertops installed within a week of our purchase. Removal and installation done quickly and professionally. They even set us up with a plumber to come on Saturday afternoon so we didn't have to wait until Monday to have running water. This place is great. We have a very good experience with them. They were very helpful and patient with us as we picked our countertop and then came within a week to measure and another week before it was installed. Very quick process. The installation only took 90 minutes including taking out our old granite countertop. They were professional, careful, and detail oriented. Would use them again for sure. read more

We spoke with a dozen different granite countertop suppliers, but we really appreciated how wonderfully Stone And Cabinet Center worked with us in a personal way, and their attention to detail. Ada, Hyhan, and Orhan coordinated cabinet delivery and installation, dishwasher and sink plumbing, and our complex curved-bar and countertop installations. The quality and value we received were outstanding. The cabinets we selected were half inch thick wood with dovetailed slow-close drawers, and because we selected a very large remnant piece of Granite, the price was great. They were kind and gracious every step of the way, and we've already recommended them to friends and neighbors. Our next step is to change the flooring to match our beautiful new wet bar!

I was looking for the expensive Taj Mahal quartzite to transform my island and countertop. Other companies just quoted me at around $12k, but Ada provided a very competitive quote at almost half the cost. There were multiple stone supplier around the corner for me the pick the stone I like. The process was smooth. The team is also very professional. I wanted to add a waterfall to my current island layout and another company said it wasn't possible, but Ada's team made it happened beautifully! I had heard horror story that the Taj Mahal quartzite is so hard to cut, and it would break without proper technology. Fortunately that did not happen to me. Every piece was cut and polished nicely. This team knows what they are doing but did not put a crazy price tag in the work they do. I have to mention the customer service is great with this team. Ada is a reliable, honest and responsive guy to work with. There was an incident that we found our water line leaky after the installation, which could happened during removal of the original granite but nobody was sure. Ada just stood up and took the responsibility immediately. There was also miscommunication during the process but Ada was always there to resolve the problems and made the process worry free. There were a wide variety of options to choose from as far as what color/pattern of granite we could have installed. We spoke with Atila who came to our home to measure. The installation team came several days later. They did an absolutely fantastic job. It was done in a clean way, they are a pleasure to work with and they asked all of the important questions to make sure that they installed it just as we would want. The price quoted was extremely reasonable. We paid 1/2 up front and the balance after installation. I am completely satisfied. We now may change the backsplash. They don't supply the tile which we will have to purchase after living with the new granite. If we decide to change the backsplash also, they will certainly be the ones to remove what we have and install the new. I have no reservations working with them and found the communication to be excellent.

Getting a new stone countertop for a small kitchen can be a challenge, because most stone suppliers…read moreand fabricators require that you buy an entire slab-- which can be VERY pricey! I must've gone to a dozen different places that stated that they had remnants, only to find the selection to be minimal or non-existant. Fairfax Marble in Merrifield had the widest selection of marble, quartzite, and granite remnants I've ever seen! Enes was so helpful and patient, he knew what I was looking for, and was able to zero in on many pieces for me to consider-- out of what seemed like a thousand different slabs and pieces! I found the perfect remnant for a kitchen needing only 26 sq feet of stone. Then, Enes was able to schedule measuring and templating on only a day's notice! The installation followed almost immediately afterwards. Fairfax Marble will work with you-- or your contractor-- to find just the right stone, and they'll help you plan the edges, overhang, and any cut-outs or holes that need to be made for fixtures. I would highly recommend them for any size kitchen-- but especially for the smaller kitchen where you don't want or need to spend the extra money on a whole slab that you'll never use!

The sink was crooked to start with. For us, this was a huge investment and expense! Now, just a few years later, there is a leak between the sink and the quartz. I was told that this happens when the company used inferior adhesives to attach the sink to the countertop. When I called down to discuss this, the first guy that answered accused me of throwing heavy objects into the sink, meaning their defective work was my fault. The second guy kept telling me about his $70,000 car with peeling paint, and that I should accept their subpar workmanship! AVOID this company at any cost!

The countertop and backsplash are beautiful, but there are dull spots every here and there, and there is a small counter whose texture is rough/bumpy. I contacted them back in November about the issue and never heard back. I'm more than a little disappointed.
