We just completed a full kitchen and bar area renovation. I can't say enough great things about experience. The quality of their product surpasses all I've seen in other recent renovations. Their service is excellent from the designer to the contractors that put everything together. We liked that they kept us to our budget and that their promised timeline was met with a few days to spare. This was important to us since we wanted to go into our holiday season with this upgrade. Their website is transparent. You get a free in home visit and then a rough quote. Once we'd made decisions on products and accessories we were given a full detailed quote. Communication is so important to us and K&B excelled in this area. We sought out other quotes and looked at recent kitchen renovations from their competitors. KBF did a bathroom remodeling and partial kitchen remodel in my condo. I found their customer service to be lacking. When I brought issues to their attention, their response was anything but prompt, and I would characterize their attitude as aloof. The contractor they assigned the work to was disorganized and only showed up to collect a check, doing a fly-by inspecting any of the work done. The contractor lacked attention to detail, leaving me to get involved with tile suppliers to rectify a miscalculation on the part of the contractor. His lack of oversight resulted in towel holders being installed in place of toilet paper holders. I would not recommend them nor will not work with them again. read more

David Doughton created a beautiful design and completely reconfigured very awkward spacing. His contractor Val de Mar executed the plans beautifully. I love everything about the kitchen remodel and first floor reconfiguration. It is beautiful and efficient! I just completed a complete kitchen renovation with kitchen and bath factory. Fabulous experience and I'm completely satisfied with the experience and results. KBF is a small but personal business on Lee Highway. They have a good showroom, and use a cabinet maker in Pennsylvania. First step is a rough estimate from bob the owner. Then David the designer meets you on site with a potential contractor. Together you plan the design and David draws it up. I used glebe appliances for my refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. KBF coordinated with Dabney at glebe appliance so I had little to do other than pick what I wanted. The job was scheduled to start Dec 1 and it did. Rafal, the onsite independent contractor handled everything. Destruction , renovating pine floors, plumbing, electricity, paint, cabinet installation, and appliance removal and installation. He did a perfect job. Everything happened on schedule as planned. Easy communication with KBF by phone and email, and with Rafal by text (as well as personal interaction every morning!). Job was scheduled for completion dec 24 and we hit the mark with a small punch list. That was recently completed. Kitchen is everything I envisioned. There are more KBF reviews on yelp. I don't know why they are not showing other than they are all extremely positive. That was my experience. I highly recommend KBF, Glebe Appliance and Rafal. They were superb. read more

I can't say enough good things about these guys. We have done two kitchens with them - one in 2006 with Bob and the second in 2016 with David. Both jobs were absolutely beautiful, completed on time, and completed on budget. I was really excited to go check out this store however my husband and I did not get the warm reception advertised on their website. When we walked in we looked around for a minute and then we were approached by a sales associate. The sales associate asked us a couple of questions about the job we wanted them to do, leading us to feel like we were not important or worth their time to even give us a proper quote. Despite the fact that they advertise that you can come in with some specs on your bathroom and they will help walk through a quote with you that was not at all what happened. The associate couldn't get us out the door fast enough. The guy was just so dismissive that we left almost immediately. read more

Update: I held out and finally got my builder to allow me to use Kitchen and Bath Factory cabinets. They are beautiful, and I'm so glad I fought for them! David and Bob are very professional and helpful, and there are no hidden costs or surprises. You'll sit down with David and he will walk you through every element of the design, and you'll see the costs pulled from a menu. No mystery and no drama. The other thing I like about David is he doesn't take anything personally. If you don't like something or have a question, he will calmly explain all of your options to you, without making you feel like you are being judged. It was an extremely positive experience working with them, and I'm looking forward to the bathroom vanity cabinet and the custom entertainment stand that they are going to build for us! read more

This is the second time I used this business to help me remodel a kitchen. I went back to them because the cabinets I had chosen the first time were excellent and I wanted the same brand for my new townhouse some 15 years later. What I did not expect was the great design help David gave me. When the counter top I wanted was back ordered yet again, they found a similar product for me for the same price and I think it is even better than what I had ordered to start with. My kitchen is stunning! I made a couple of small changes along the way and we found more space during the destruction phase which prompted another visit to figure out how best to use this space. I took too long to write this - but having just received a miserable text from a friend who did NOT use Kitchen and Bath (and Rafael as their contractor), I had to write. You have a choice: get your work done the right way, or NOT. I live in a home built in 1948. Imagine an ugly, tight, time warp. It was baaaad. David from Kitchen and Bath showed us possibilities I NEVER would have considered (and I am a Pinterest addict). You don't think you need a designer until you have one!!!! And RAFAEL (Our contractor thru K&B) is THE BEST!!!! He is straightforward, hardworking, and reliable. My friend who is miserable with her bathroom remodel? Her guy just showed up with a marble counter top with three chips - he was going to put it in!!!!! A tub showed up at my house with a flaw - Rafael wouldn't let it cross the threshold. BOOM. With any remodel (ok, maybe with a remodel on a 70 year old house - ouch), there are going to be hiccups - what you want is someone who resolves those in a timely and reasonable fashion. LOVE our bathroom. Um, that sounds weird, but we do ;0) If you go to K&B, ask for an appointment with David. He's really good so he's super busy. Then browse around. They have an "Arlington size bathroom" in the showroom for those of us with smaller bathrooms, and they have STUNNING cabinets, countertops and figure ideas for my "NEXT" house. read more

I hired KBF to remodel my kitchen, they did such a great job. The selection to pick from was vast. They listen to what I wanted and asked more questions to get a better idea to know what I wanted. They did such a great job, I had them redo my bathroom. I didn't think they could outdo the kitchen but I really love the bathroom. They went above expectation to make sure I was very happy. If I had a concern they took care of it. I'm very happy with both rooms and hope that other people contact them for there future projects. read more

Outstanding Results! After the Kitchen and Bath Factory (KBF) completed our kitchen remodeling 2 years ago, which turned out spectacularly, we decided it was time to update my hall bathroom. Naturally we went with a proven winner and called KBF. Once again, we were not disappointed. They just finished a complete remodel of the bathroom. It was a great group effort. Their designer, David, gave us great advice on how to best utilize the space. He provided us with a detailed computer drawing of what to expect, recommended which suppliers to purchase fixtures from, and provided us with a step-by-step schedule, that was met without a hitch. Their contractor, Pawel , who also did our kitchen, takes great pride in his work, and once again did an outstanding job. He and his assistant made sure everything was installed correctly and on-time. He cleaned up at the end of each day, and when the job was completed you couldn't tell that he had just pulled out a bathtub, sink/vanity, toilet, stripped wallpaper, completely gutting the bathroom. Pawel then converted the tub area into a shower stall, reconfigured some plumbing, had his tile man install the marble shower tile (with a shower bench and niche) and shower floor, and lay a marble floor. Pawel then installed a new toilet, sink/vanity, sconces, recessed lighting, medicine cabinet, painted the walls and ceiling. The KBF Office Project Manager, Janet, kept us informed during the entire project as the various pieces of the puzzle fell into place. And last, but not least, Bob, the owner of KBF, remained in the background but was always there, if needed. We did call on him to help with a supplier issue, and he stepped up to the plate and took care of us without missing a beat. I've been using my new kitchen for several months now and still love it!

David's design made the most of my small space and the cabinets themselves are fabulous - solid, first-rate hinges and drawer slides, etc. KBF's process and project management approach is simple and user-friendly and there were no surprises. But the real standout is Rafal, their contractor who did the tear-out and all the installations. His attention to detail, willingness to change on the fly, and gorgeous tile work made for a completely positive experience and an outstanding result.
