It started off well, we were installing a kitchen through IKEA, Milos came out to the house and explained the whole procedure, he was very nice and went through everything with me. He told us he'd have the plans written up by the following Monday. That was 5/6. We finally got the plans on the 5/17. They said they were booked out and the soonest we could schedule the install would be the end of July, that seemed like a really long time and we had to push back our floor install and painting so we wouldn't be too log without a kitchen. The first day of the install they sent out a crew of 4, they did a good job and moved quickly, so quickly in fact that the crew manager who dropped them Off and left half way through was late coming back to pick them up so they had to hang out on our front stoop for about an hour. The second day crew was 2 guys, they lost the door knobs to a cabinet and never replaced the so we have to now go back to Ikea and purchase 2 more knobs. They also told my husband they would put an elbow in vent above the stove to ensure it vented properly to the microwave, he agreed to pay an extra $40 for them to do that when they came back after the counters were installed. The third crew came back after the counters and immediately started arguing what they would and wouldn't reinstall, they called to say we never asked for the reinstall (which we had with Milos and the 2nd crew lead) a gentleman from Zee Dee called and to let me know they wouldn't be setting up our appliances and got annoyed with me when I started asking questions he started snapping at me and pushing me off the phone. I asked for his name and he hung up on me. When I called back or went straight to voicemail. His cell phone is (571) 332-1160. The 3rd install took 2 days after the 2nd day my husband called to say the tore the brand new vinyl flooring when they put in the stove, scratched the brand new sink faucet when installing, did not install the elbow for the joint and used about a roll of tape to attach it, it looks horrible! And we're still missing the door knobs for the cabinet. No one checked in with us after the job, I emailed Milos and still have no response, I emailed the general email account with no response so I am now posting on review sites hoping to get a call back, email whatever to get these things fixed! We purchased new kitchen cabinets from IKEA and Zee Dee Touch was the recommended contractor. We paid for design consultation and ZD sent Boban, who was FANTASTIC in helping us utilize our existing layout more efficiently and knew exactly which cabinets to use where... down to the millimeter! I can't say enough good things about Boban. Then came time for the installation. We had done all demolition (including removal of old tile floors and even installed new subfloor, we moved necessary electrical and did all painting) prior to ZD's arrival, so they were working with a completely clean slate. We also purchased all new tile and backer board. However, we found the first team of installers to be "lacking" and after two full days of work there wasn't much to show for it. But, we talked to Boban and a new crew, led by Lisandro, was sent out and we couldn't have been happier with the effort and results!! The final product turned out BEAUTIFUL and everyone who sees it are stunned at how great it looks and how much bigger the space appears - all thanks to Boban's design help. Final thoughts: 1. From the beginning of our kitchen renovation, my hubby and I contemplated Ikea, but the stress of assembling and installing the cabinets was daunting. We took care of everything else in the kitchen reno (demo, floors, plumbing, etc...), so only hired Zee Dee to install the cabinets. I'm happy we decided to go with them. Our initial meeting with Boban was great! He eased the concerns we had about the structure of our home and how it might impact installation. I'm happy to say all was good. There were no surprise charges, and in fact, during the process of installation, we had to make some changes, and the team just went with the flow, and worked with us. The installation team works quickly, so keep in mind you may have to make some on-the-spot decisions. I wasn't necessarily ready, but they were patient with me. The team was also great at cleaning up after themselves, and they were respectful, but working with Boban really put us at ease. This is a stressful process, no doubt, but Boban was really patient and helpful. Like with anything else, you need to inspect everything. I had a couple of concerns after the first day of installation with one of the units, and Boban came out the next morning to address the concern, and even stayed to work with the installers for the rest of the day. Boban knew I had questions, and he stayed the day to make sure my hubby and I were at ease with the installation. I was in need of a contractor pretty quickly when the last contractor flaked. I put in an inquiry on Yelp and was promptly contacted by Igor at Zee Dee with a rough estimate that was well under what the last company quoted me. Igor came to do our estimate and made it easy on us by telling us we could move all of our storage things to the center instead of outside of the room. He sent us a full estimate within a day, and explained the pricing to us. They told me it would take 2 days (the last people said roughly a week or two) and finished up in the time frame given, and the work was superb! If my review was only about Zee Dee Touch for timeliness and appearance, I'd give 3 or 4 stars. But because of major errors and risk of safety, I'm giving 1 star. Here's why.... The renovation started out great! For 2 weeks straight Z's guys came every day and worked fast and efficiently. Things slowed down when it was time for my granite measure and install, and range delivery, from other companies. There were 2 or 3 days where the crew didn't show up and I wasn't called in advance and told no one was coming. I don't like feeling like I have to chase after a contractor, who should be communicating better. Overall, though, things were going well and the kitchen LOOKED pretty good. There were some cosmetic issues, however. The biggest issues I had was the tile backsplash. The main backsplash looked decent (straightforward design). Was it perfect? No. But it looked good enough for me not to make a stink. There was another area of backsplash, where the design was a little more complicated. Tiles weren't cut precisely and some of them weren't straight, or spaced correctly. We had under-cabinet lights installed, which only highlighted the imperfections. I think the guy who put up the backsplash tried to do a good job, but in the end was satisfied with his mediocre results. There were other cosmetic issues, which for the most part were fixed after I pointed them out. Then comes the issue of things being done RIGHT. I questioned Z, the owner, about using licensed electricians and plumbers to do the electric and plumbing work. He told me his staff were not licensed. I guess they're just handymen that know some things about electrical and plumbing work. We were never given the option of paying more for a licensed electrician to do work verses handymen, and I naively assumed Z was using knowledgeable and licensed professionals. We had a licensed electrician come to our house to check out the work done by Z's crew. Long story short: nearly everything they did was wrong in at least one way. There were major safety issues found by the electrician. We weren't even positive our house was safe to be in, let alone to use lights and plugs in the kitchen. We also hired a licensed plumber to check the plumbing and gas work Z's crew did, and he found many errors with those too. We'll need to hire a good tile guy to re-install the more complicated backsplash, as it was sloppily done, and then messed up when the electrician had to fix problems behind the tile. Bottom line: If you want your IKEA install / kitchen remodel to look good (mostly), and don't care about it being done CORRECTLY and SAFELY by licensed professionals, Zee Dee Touch might be fine for you. Our kitchen (nearly finished by Z's crew) does look pretty good, but we also care about our safety, which is why we have had to pay licensed professionals (over $3500 and not finished) to fix mistakes made by Zee Dee Touch's crew. read more

We needed a complete renovation on a very small galley kitchen in a rental condo. Though it was a very small space, there was a lot of work to do. We needed a new floor, counter, all appliances, plumbing, paint and a backsplash. The space and the timeline were very tight. I met Boban for measurements and a design consult and he very quickly and accurately produced a design, Ikea parts list and estimate. I purchased all of the parts at Ikea and delivered them myself. Boban's list was EXACTLY right...nothing was missing and there were no extra pieces or wasted parts. From demo to finish work, the contractors, led by Lisandro, worked very neatly and cleaned up after themselves every day. They did great quality work on a reasonable budget and stuck to the timeline Boban initially set out. Both Boban and Lisandro were very responsive by phone and text. Zee Dee Touch did a great job for. They were sent as sub-contractors for our IKEA cabinet repair. First, IKEA honored their 25-year warranty by coordinating the repair for our 10-year old cabinet. Second they sent out the Zee Dee Touch team. We have a 4-door pantry system that IKEA discontinued about 5 years ago. We were concerned how IKEA would fix this as it appeared we needed a new hinge that wasn't available. Boban with Zee Dee Touch was able to identify the problem, to fix the hinge, to reinstall the door and finally to realign the four doors on the pantry. This company is terrible. I'm writing this in hopes of saving someone the headache and pain we went through. We ended up with this company because they were a preferred vendor of IKEA. The first meeting with the designer was impressive. He was thorough and had good suggestions. We were excited to start our home project. Little did we know our nightmare was about to begin. The crew was disrespectful, paid no attention to detail, was sloppy and didn't show up on time. We tried calling the owner on a couple of issues (for example they CUT into our stairs! After they said they wouldn't, and they tried to use a laundry hose for the kitchen exhaust). Dillion was the best by far - at least he tried. 6 months later the floor they put in already needs to be replaced! The tiles are coming loose because they didn't use enough thin-set. In any other situation I would have called them but honestly I never want anyone from this company back in my home. Please scroll past this company and go with anyone else! Update: we ended up contacted the company and after a couple of rude texts from the owner he finally met with my husband. He offered to have his company re-do the floor which we declined. We took his offer of getting half ($700) of what it cost to put the floor in (only labor not including supplies). Now we are trying to figure out what to do next - either way it's going to involve taking this floor out and installing a new floor in our kitchen. Worst company ever! read more

Had ZDtouch come install our Ikea cabinets, sink, tile backsplash, 4 potlights in the ceiling. Our walls aren't straight and they were unwilling and they said "unable" to fix drywall at the edge of the cabinets to make them look finished. I agree with an earlier reviewer who says that they take no pride in their workmanship. During the installation of the cabinets they made a quarter-sized hole in our cork floor - they denied that they did it and we had to fight to make them replace the cork tile. The workers are really capable and friendly but the supervisors are rude and unreasonable. This company doesn't seem to care whether their customers are satisfied or not. Igor is not to be dealt with. If you just need IKEA cabinets built and installed they are fine, but do not hire these people to take care of any work that requires craftsmanship. read more

This company just does not care. We got them through ikea and they were just sloppy and unapologetic. The work manager Dillan is lazy and will tell you what you want to hear but when you go to ask why it has not been done he will just make an excuse. When you point out faults like how did grey paint splatter end up on my wall during the cabinet install they will lie and say I don't know yet you have the same paint splatter on your folder and clothing. And you are not even here to paint so really how did this happen? You have to constantly check up on them otherwise they will forget to install things and do as many short cuts as possible. They will arrive late every day and when you run out of work and arrive 10 mintues late to meet them they will be long gone with no call. Me and my husband complained to both the work manager Dillan and the engineer Boban daily to no avail. I could go on but my warning to you is stay away from this company. read more

ZD installed our Ikea Kitchen last August and did a great job. I would hire them again. Our Kitchen after almost a year looks and functions as well as the first day it was installed. Z (the owner) was very communicative and easy to get a hold of on the phone or by e-mail. If you've bought an Ikea kitchen chances are you're trying to save $$ and you are no stranger to how hands on you need to be to insure you get the result you want. I was happy I was on site a few times to observe ZD and make sure the project went smoothly. Look, these guys are NOT expensive high end installers, so there is some degree of homeowner responsibility you're signing up for here. We want to compliment Dillon and his crew on their work on our new kitchen, pantry, and laundry room. Dillon brings problems or questions to us or to the company rather than going forward with substandard work. Ours is an older house with hidden issues like termite damage to drywall. Dillon and his crew have identified and corrected those issues that could cause us problems in the future. They have met the challenges of IKEA sending the wrong item or not sending things by identifying discrepancies and finding fast solutions. They have developed attractive-looking workarounds for fitting cabinets into spaces not designed for them. The painting is some of the best we have ever had done. Our floor tile and backsplash are lovely, very skillfully done. Their work area is always left tidy. Dillon and the crew have worked diligently including staying until 5:30 last Friday to finish some things. Today they continued working while they ate lunch. It was our understanding that the job would take 8 - 10 days, but it will be finished to high quality standards well before that despite unforeseen problems. They have been a pleasure to work with on a project that could have caused us a lot of stress and aggravation. read more

He showed us design solutions the other contractors didn't even think of. His estimate was a fraction of what the others gave us. His timeframe was also much quicker to get the project started. They managed to work around this, hang the cabinets beautifully, and disguise the quirks. The provided good guidance - I switched out some cabinets with their advice, and am glad I did so. Updated review: Yesterday morning, I noticed black water in my kitchen sink which was not draining properly. By the time my maintenance staff arrived, there was standing water in my brand new kitchen, my dining room, and the hallway due to the biggest clog in my main pipe that the chief building engineer has ever seen in 30 years of doing this. Thankfully the damages are minor due to their quick arrival, but they had to cut through a wall and cut the pipe in order to get it to drain (after trying to snake through 3 other units first) He asked me where my contractors disposed of flooring grout, etc. and where they washed their tools, because he strongly suspects that they dumped it down one of the drains in my bathroom or kitchen based on the type of clog that it was instead of disposing of things properly. Additionally, he had to fix the garbage disposal that they installed, because it was leaking. read more

They came out to install my kitchen upgrade. some guys came and cut some pipes and installed new ones under my sink. I told them previously that dishwasher will be installed. I thought everything was great. Well when the dishwasher is delivered the plumber who I hired to install it told me the pipes were not able to hook to a dishwasher. I called ZD touch and the owner came out and said vehemently "we did not do this plumbing and would NEVER do something like that. The installation was completed in record time, a total of three days compared to some estimates from other companies that ranged from three weeks to two months. The installers have left the kitchen clean and finished looking adding some touch ups that were not even in the contract. The total cost was considerably lower than from other remodeling companies. I only have good things to say about this company. My first encounter was with Dusan, as he was assigned to help us plan our new kitchen. I had done the online planner, but he was awesome at helping me carry out my vision in a much better way. We had no problems with installation, although our initial install date had to be moved. They were very helpful in working with us and we even came on a Saturday doing the entire kitchen in one day. As happens with construction, there are bumps. Something happened with the measurement in our dishwasher would not fit, but they came back and made the necessary changes. We also noticed many months later, a drawer handle that was not perfectly centered, and of course, once you see it you can't stop seeing it, LOL... I reached back out to Dusan, Who arranged to have it fixed within a week... They even replaced another piece which had a small nail bump showing. I'm not sure what others have experienced to give them one star, i just don't see it at all. I feel like everyone we dealt with was professional and helpful throughout the entire process. read more

We began a IKEA kitchen project in March 2015 which was completed in July 2015. We hired ZD touch for a design consultation, demo of old cabinets and installation of new IKEA cabinets. They also installed a sink, overhead range and did some electrical work. The positives were that they were easy to get ahold of and hiring them to complete a kitchen design made the process a lot less stressful. The workers were polite and when something was pointed out, they did attempt to fix it. For the most part, our kitchen looks pretty good. We are happy with the overall appearance, but we have had to go in and make a few cosmetic changes afterwards that should have been taken care of or completed more carefully the first time around. They were also reasonable and fit into our budget. The negatives were that very little pride or workmanship was demonstrated while installing the kitchen. We continue to notice little defects in the installation or shortcuts that were taken to get the job done quickly, rather than correctly. The backsplash has areas are uneven and the grout was not sealed (this is something we did after the fact). Every other contractor we have hired for backsplash installation has sealed the grout. There is also a place on top of the cabinets where the wood was chipped. It is barely noticeable from standing in the kitchen, but it is obvious that they hoped we did not notice it and did not bring it to our attention. They also left a large mess after leaving. There were boxes and scraps all over our garage. We would have expected the boxes broken down and disposed of. The day that the renovation was completed, the workers peeled out of the drive-way hoping that we would not notice anything and ask them to fix it. Our advice, if you chose to hire Zee Dee Touch, would be to be very vigilant and monitor the work that is done very carefully. There were several instances where something was being installed that looked very awkward. I had to point them out and suggest solutions (filler pieces, using a different piece of wood) and the suggestions were taken. If I had not pointed this out, our kitchen would have come out looking very different. I felt uncomfortable and like I was being annoying, but I think that with this company, you need to watch carefully and not give the final payment until you have checked all of the work and clean up area with a fine tooth comb. read more

The workers were extremely nice and professional and walked us through the entire process. We knew what to expect. They made accommodations for us with no problem. They were very thorough with the initial walk-through, and clarified exactly what we needed to order. The installation went quickly and seamlessly, with the exception of one unit that couldn't be installed because of some work our regular contractor hadn't finished in time. Zee Dee left detailed directions on how to install the final unit, and when our contractor didn't install everything exactly as directed, Zee Dee came back to correct the problem without charging us any additional fees. Let me first clarify that Zee Dee Touch represents Traemand in the DC, VA and MD region. Traemand is a nationwide company that subcontracts to local contractors, such as Zee Dee Touch, throughout the United States for IKEA kitchen installation. It is in that context that I give Traemand and one of its partners, ZeeDee Touch, a five-star rating. Why five stars? Frankly, when I bought my kitchen cabinets from IKEA I expected IKEA's performance to be spotless and the recommended contract to be less than stellar and the exact opposite happened. First, the fact that Zee Touch is not only the General contractor but also installs the cabinets, means you are dealing with one company. Second, the flexibility of the Zee Dee Touch when, unbeknownst to us, IKEA had singlehandedly postponed the entire kitchen cabinets delivery by a week, making installation obviously impossible. Despite their already booked schedule, Zee Dee Touch was able to shift jobs and workers to accommodate the situation without much change in the final deadline. Third, the professionalism, courtesy and efficiency of the staff, as well as the team spirit and the respect between staff, were impressive. Fourth, the great advice we got during the planning and measurement appointment with Milos; it saved us a lot of potential mistakes (why people do not take advantage of this Ikea service is beyond me). Finally, my kitchen looks great... minus a couple of minor misses as they were trying to hurry out of the door. To make a long story short, I'd hire Zee Dee Touch again and DO recommend them highly.
