Mosaic Home Interiors in Chantilly, VA is terrific. Designer Erin R. is fantastic! Many Explore clients have raved about Erin. We have worked together on many projects. Thank you all at Mosaic! -The Explore Team and Jason and Greg

Love the midnight vanity, floor and shower tiles and the accent tile for the niche I ordered through Mosaic

I had an excellent experience working with Zsuzsanna Papp, a designer at Mosaic. She was extremely knowledgable and very patient with me. She walked me through the entire process to remodel my 2 and 1/2 bathrooms. She helped me design and select all the materials my contractor would need to remodel all 3 of my bathrooms. I ordered almost everything needed through Mosaic, got good prices, and excellent quality materials. AND I love my new bathrooms! Thank you Zsuzsanna and Mosaic!!

This past year I began a project to renovate two of my bathrooms. These projects were not simple replacement projects as they involved moving walls and changing the overall layout of the bathrooms. My family has always used Mosaic Tile so it was the logical first place for me to check. I had a rough idea of the look I was going for, however, I had no real how to make that a reality. I had my first appointment with Erin Reaves, and she was amazing! I had shared the photos and my high-level design ideas prior to arriving for my appointment. As soon as I showed up, Erin had laid out a few options for me to start turning my vision into reality. She helped me think through the pros and cons of each of my decisions and ensured I had selected everything I needed. To go a step further, my contractors ran into issues while working on my bathroom due to how the home was originally built. I called Erin, and she helped me think through my options. The bathrooms turned out incredible! Special thanks to Mosaic and to Erin!

Mosaic Tile Co. just moved to this brand new location a couple of weekends ago. I had gone to their previous location - a couple of days before their move. I looked at a lot of tile and decided I wanted them to order some samples for me so I could look at them in my kitchen and make sure the colors work with my color scheme. They ordered the tiles for me - no charge for the tiles - which is in stark contrast to The Tile Shop in Manassas, VA - which insisted on charging me for the sample tiles. This place is gorgeous! They have tons of mini kitchen and bathroom areas tiled up as examples to give one some ideas as to how things would look. And of course way more samples of tiles, listello, and other accent pieces. Worth checking out!

My contractor is doing a major renovation and addition for my little home in Old Town.. I was recommended to Mosaic Tile by my kitchen designer, who will get a review shortly because she is nothing short of spectacular!! Mosaic Tile delivered. My kitchen designer recommended Ana Bowyer. Appointment was set. She is so talented, creative and listened to my goals: stay within budget. The beautiful tile choices are overwhelming and you want everything! Ana asked lots of questions about my style (I don't know if I even have a style but I soon learned what I didn't like!) and the way I lived. She skillfully put together these designs with tile/glass/grout which complemented my vanities and counter tops. The price was great - my contractor gets a 5% discount and that helped. $10K worth of tile sure didn't look like a lot when it was delivered. Thank goodness my house is small !! I am currently working with Laurie Bush there as well. She and the team are SO responsive and respond very quickly as I have had a number of questions. I will continue to recommend Mosaic Tile (and Ana and Laurie) to everyone. It has been a perfect experience. They gave me numerous samples to take home as well - very helpful. I have attached a picture of my (small) half bath that is not complete but the glass tile that runs from floor-to-ceiling is so dramatic and cool !!

It was such a pleasure doing business with Alex at Mosaic Tile!! He is so knowledgeable, totally got our style, and just a pleasure to work with as we renovated one of our bathrooms for our teen daughter. This was not our first renovation and we were dreading the process; but thanks to Mosaic Tile and especially Alex, we had a great experience and look forward to future upgrades. Thank you, Alex - you are super fantastic!!

I had seen some stuff online via Ferguson's website, but I wanted to actually chat with a person in real life about my proposed project so in that way I could walk through what I was looking for and wanted. We worked with Darin who was fantastic btw! My husband and I sort of went through with what I was looking for which included plumbing fixatures for two bathrooms and a chandelier for our foyer. He was great gave us different options at different price points also he helped figure out what I was trying to explain (I told him I don't know all of the technical names of the things, but he was able to decipher) and help us think through what we needed. Darin super knowledgeable! Now a few other points of advice if you are a first timer, pictures of what you want to do helpful even if they are inspo photos, if you've got space measurements even better. Also, if you are thinking of changing out plumbing perhaps having your preferred plumber come out to give you an idea of materials required for your project (I opted to do it in reverse).

Primary emphasis was a layout that could evolve over time and recapturing some floorspace. Start to finish was 3-4 weeks. This included tearing out popcorn ceiling, wiring in ~11 new recessed lights, new flooring, new kitchenette, small updates to a guest bathroom, painting all the things (including a chalkboard 1/3 wall) and a redesigned fascia for our fireplace. It also included a "secret room" for the kiddo that Quinn took on as a personal project, as we've been juggling complex medical issues for a few years. Needless to say that resulted in a lot of smiles and it has been getting a ton of use. The plywood in the secret room is 3/4" and we plan to add some rock climbing grips to it in the future. Pearl and Monica were easy to communicate with and any issues (ex: some painting needed to be revisited) were handled promptly. They were very flexible with pricing and really went out of their way to make this work for us. I'm deeply appreciative of the work they did for our child and the flexibility they demonstrated with some of my last-minute design tweaks. This is an easy recommend from me.

But once we scheduled the appointment with CKB, lots of other projects popped up with our old, new house: knocking pipes when the hot water is on, an old fireplace mantle with water damage behind it, a wall-mounted tv that the previous owners stuck right into flammable insulation. But it didn't matter! Quinn, Cherie, and Carlos completed our whole list within ONE WEEK and within our budget. The team painted everything from ceilings to baseboards and covered up the previous yellow and navy blue paint! They completely replaced the damaged drywall behind our brick fireplace and installed a new electrical outlet for the wall mounted tv, in addition to adding fireproof insulation! And they fixed our knocking pipes by cutting into our walls and spray foaming around the culprits. Totally professional and on time every day. It was great! Can't wait to have them back to renovate our old bathrooms.

What started out as a fairly decent experience (they have a decent showroom with nice examples) went progressively downhill. Our initial visit to their showroom in Chantilly was met promptly by one of their designers, however, first impression was that he was very new to the business, but seemed to know some of the products they were representing. Before leaving, we scheduled an in-home visit for him to come look at the proposed bathroom and kitchen renovations about a week later. I had not heard back from him promptly to confirm the appointment, and therefore I reached out to his manager (who also did not have the courtesy to directly respond to me). But apparently my message made its way to the designer, who I'm pretty certain completely forgot about the appointment he scheduled. Following the home visit, we were told that 3D renderings would be prepared, and that a follow-up appointment would be scheduled for us to come into their showroom again to discuss. Perhaps one of the few positives was that the the designer sent me a message a few days later to day his renderings were done, and invited my wife and I to come back into the showroom, but we couldn't visit until a week later due to my schedule. As soon as we arrived on our scheduled follow-up visit, one of the other Chantilly store representatives seemed surprised that we were there to meet with the designer, saying that he was working at their Fairfax store that day. UNBELIEVABLE! Nevertheless, he got in touch with the designer, who finally made his way out to the Chantilly store over 30 minutes late!! But perhaps the worst part of the meeting was despite having plenty of time to prepare decent 3D renderings, he only really had one prepared (he promised at least a couple of different ones), and the renderings were terrible quality and something a child would develop. Despite all of this, we were still willing to talk to him and discuss options. The latest update was that he would prepare additional renderings, and said he would talk to his manager about final estimated costs. At this point (over a week later), we still haven't heard back from him, so obviously they don't consider us a serious customer. What a disappointing waste of nearly 3 weeks time, and even more disappointing after seeing other positive reviews; I just we just weren't lucky. That said, I have had a positive experience with another renovation company, and will go with their service instead; others had much better estimated pricing anyway. I'm glad I talked to other companies out of due diligence.

Sarah had designed my friend's kitchen, and I could tell that she has good (but expensive) taste. Working with Sarah just to get an honest quote on my kitchen remodel was a waste of everyone's time. Her arrogance and lack of professionalism was even worse than her price tag. She insisted on blindly charging $2500-$3000 before even sitting down with her to do a design saying many times "my work speaks for itself" and that its a boutique experience. No formal quote or anything on paper. I have gotten a few other companies and designers come in and they have given me step-by-step quotes as well as a peek of what they had been planning for a design. With a big smile, too! She says that sometimes she won't even take a project that's "not worth her time", but she said she was exited to come up with a design for my kitchen after she returned from a month long vacation. 1+ months later, even more unprofessional and disorganized, she canceled my appointment without notice, despite our correspondence over email. She did not take the time to answer what few questions I had when I walked into the studio, which is when she looked at me like I was trespassing. Bottom line: FineLine kitchen designs may "speak for itself" but it does nothing to convey Sarah's arrogance and extreme lack of self awareness. Good luck to all her future clients!
