I almost bougt the one that thry have here, but I thought about the logistics in bringing it doen there, may not be so easy. What I actually came here for was to get some gardening tools and supplies for my house up here. I figure I have the long holiday weekend to hipefully make some good progress on the yard and small garden area. This hardware store is very close to me here and I wasn't in the mood to drive 6 miles to the big box hardware store to maybe save asmall amount of money. I got a garden house, a shovel, and regular yard rake to clean up the place. They had everything that I needed.

We were in a time bind…read moreand McLean Hardware CAME TO THE RESCUE!: we had MIELE dishwasher delivered and when being installed they said our plumber put in the wrong size valve ( although presite inspection did not specify valve size)- McLean hardware was closing in 10 minutes and dishwasher installers wanted to leave- they didn't have an adapter for the valve and were tired. For the installers to return would be $200 additional charge-ugh. McLean Hardware quickly had 2 people assist my husband and for only $24 we got the adapter for the expensive Miele dishwasher to be installed and working! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…read more We ordered very large master bathroom vanity cabinets from Rick in the Chantilly VA location Nov 2022, the cabinets were delivered on time, early Jan 2023. First, the delivery company was very unprofessional and rude. They proceeded to tell me that Cabinet Discounters should have told me that they will only leave them in the garage, which I said I was never told that and it's winter and I do not want them to warp. They ended up leaving the cabinets in the middle of my dining room...6 extremely large boxes. My contractor attempted to install them a few days later and notice one of the doors was not the same design as the rest of the doors. We also noticed a drawer was broken and several panels were warped and not able to align. We called Rick, sent pictures and he ordered the "correct" panel (which when rec'd, was a different color, therefore we had to re-order again). After much back and forth with Rick and he telling me that we will have to pay for someone to come out and "fix" their issue, Rick then came out to our house to see if he can align the cabinets and also to assess the issues. He confirmed there were major issues with the panels and that the doors were warped, etc. Rick took pictures and was supposed to write up what he observed and what was being orders so that we knew what deliveries to expect. We never rec'd a write up from Rick... we then proceeded with in the next few weeks to get 3 additional shipments of panels that were ordered. Again, when we received the additional panels, one broken (which again we had to have another replacement). Once ALL replacement doors were recd, we had our contractor come back (additional cost to us) to attempt to reinstall the 6 panels. Our contractor noticed some of the "new" panels are longer than other, some are wider than others, and again some appear to be warped since they cannot close flush. Again, he was unable to be aligned some cabinets. We have sent emails, made phone calls, Rick has told us that the manufacture is going to call us back, #homecrest and we haven't heard from anyone. It's been over two months now that we have had cabinets installed (without panels), over half of the panels are sitting in my hallway, paid in FULL, paid our contractor additional money in an attempt to "reinstall" the cabinets two separate times. We have had a master bath completely renovated and been waiting two months to be able to use our cabinets. This is horrible customer service, horrible products. They haven't acknowledged the time, money and inconvenience this has caused. They have completely gone silent.

The representative assured me that my request had been accommodated and that the appointment had been scheduled accordingly. However, when I called on the morning of the appointment to confirm, I was met with a frustrating experience. A technician answered the phone and stated that he had no knowledge of who had committed to the specific timing of the appointment. He added that he would come over whenever he was available within the designated service window. The technician's tone was dismissive, indifferent, and unprofessional. Due to this poor communication and lack of customer service, I canceled the appointment and scheduled the service with a different company. It is strongly recommended that the company invest in training its staff on effective communication and customer service skills to avoid situations like this in the future.

I sometimes come here just to browse what kind of tools I may be missing. Rockler has everything from tiny dowels to thousands-of-dollar heavy equipment. What I usually come here for is to get hardwood and baltic ply. The hardwood selection here is great and it's reasonably priced. Most of them are S4S or S3S so in the worst case, I can use my table saw to rip the unfinished side. You only pay for what you need so you can have them cut a longer piece and not pay for the reminder! That's amazing. Note that they only cut longer wood to fit in your car. Rockler currently does not offer planing or joining services. The guy over there said they are looking into supporting such services soon but as of today, that's not an option. Rockler also has wood-turning and other general woodworking classes. There's a small classroom inside the store itself. If you need anything woodworking, Rockler is it!

We had been to plenty of big box stores and some local boutique flooring stores and this was the most personal service we found by far. My only complaint is not going there first.
