The only interaction I've had with this business was twice when someone, who I assume was Jimmy (he only referred to himself as "Fatso") came to first assess and then replace my stove, through a contract with my stove company, Frigidaire. Jimmy was very friendly and personable, and his assessment helped me get the new part for free. My experience with them was minimal but good both times. Would reach out to them again. read more

This company has significant issues with internal communication. Last week, I spoke with a company representative to schedule an appointment for service. After explaining that my house is on the market and real estate viewings were scheduled to begin in the morning, I specifically requested an early appointment at 8:30 AM within the 8:00-11:00 AM service window. The representative assured me that my request had been accommodated and that the appointment had been scheduled accordingly. However, when I called on the morning of the appointment to confirm, I was met with a frustrating experience. A technician answered the phone and stated that he had no knowledge of who had committed to the specific timing of the appointment. He added that he would come over whenever he was available within the designated service window. The technician's tone was dismissive, indifferent, and unprofessional. Due to this poor communication and lack of customer service, I canceled the appointment and scheduled the service with a different company. It is strongly recommended that the company invest in training its staff on effective communication and customer service skills to avoid situations like this in the future. read more

We have been using this company for close to 10 years. This family business caters to its clients with professional and knowledgeable expertise. Good advice as to when repairs would not be cost efficient. 30 day guarantee on work performed. Always a pleasurable interaction from initial calls to appointments. read more

Jim was on time and called 30 minutes before coming over. Excellent communication with scheduling office. Excellent repair service. He went above and beyond and replace the dishwasher seal. I will hire him again in the future. read more

The worst interaction that I have ever had with a service center. Female scheduler lied about my appointment. A subcontractor of IKEA and a poor and inefficient one. I was directed to this company by IKEA for the servicing of my microwave. They didn't have an appointment for two weeks so I told her to schedule me and If I were to find another company to service me, I would call back and cancel. She told me to call on the morning of my appointment to get the time frame of my appointment. When I called she said that she never scheduled me and that I was going to call back. LIE!! She was nasty and argumentative. Why would she tell me to call on the morning of the appointment, if she didn't schedule me. Dishonesty in a business should always be reported. I contacted IKEA who will service my microwave in another week (now 3 weeks without a microwave). I voiced my concerns about the contractor that they had and asked to never send them business again. I know my words will go unheard but trust me....beware of this company, they are not honest, and they are RUDE!! read more

ASI just repaired our Kenmore fridge yesterday. Scheduling was easy. Jimmy was knowledgeable, quick, and honest. I asked him to replaced the seals around my refrigerator doors. Instead, he gave me the part number and showed me how to do it myself as it's a very simple 10 minute task. ASI will be our appliance repair shop going forward. read more

I just had owner Jim come out to service my wall oven. He was fast and knew his stuff. I appreciated that he spent the time to explain everything to me. I always ask lots of questions and because I just like to learn how things work. Just a nice, honest guy. I will definitely call him again if I need appliance repair. I found this company through neighbor recommendations on NextDoor. I like to support local family owned businesses and this one did not disappoint. Jimmy arrived when expected and fixed my oven. I was very happy with his service and his professionalism. I am alittle confused by some of the bad reviews. My experience with this company was all positive. I will definately call them if I have an issue in the future. read more

I used ASI previously and had a great experience, so it made sense to call them when our dryer was in need of service. I was given a 4 hour window and Jimmy arrived inside that timeframe. He diagnosed the issue and fixed it quickly. I will caution you to ask about their fees up front so that you don't get surprised. read more

I requested warranty service on my stacked GE washer/dryer which would stop after filling with water. A GE tech arrived and I showed him videos of how the washer would stop after filling with water. The GE tech said he would have a replacement belt shipped to me which took about a week. After receiving the belt I had to call to schedule the next appointment and the soonest available was about a week later. The GE tech replaced the worn but not broken belt. This didn't fix the problem. I called the warranty company again and requested Appliance Services to troubleshoot the problem since the GE Tech couldn't fix the problem on a GE product. Jim from Appliance Services diagnosed the problem as a bad control board. Appliance Services had the part shipped to them in a few days and then called me to set up an appointment. This was different from working with the GE technician who had the part shipped to me and had me call to schedule the next appointment. A couple of days later the control board was installed and the machine is working great for now. So from the initial call for service I spent over two weeks working with GE which didn't fix the problem, and about a week or so with Appliance Services and the problem was fixed. This is a very professional company. From my experience on more than one repair they are better than the manufacturer's technicians. You can call them during business hours and someone actually answers the phone, and if they call you and you can't answer, they leave a message. They also keep their appointments. read more

At the very start of my call with Tonya, I felt comfortable with Appliance Services. Tonya was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. I was very pleased they were able to schedule a home visit within a few days. Their service tech, Jimmy, came out to service our microwave oven. Jimmy, also, was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. He was pleased to answer my questions without fail which is something I appreciate. I also appreciated his forthright efforts to save us as much cost as possible. Jimmy has a good sense of humor, and he has a wide range of experience that rounds out him as a great repair representative for Appliance Services. I wholeheartedly recommend Appliance Services! Thank you, Jimmy. : ) read more

Incredibly rude. Came to fix our dishwasher and it stopped working (same problem) within a few hours. Then he suggested I broke it when I never used it other than the run he ran when he left. The service girl who schedules was rude and unkind. They delayed me getting this fixed for weeks until I finally had Fridgeaire assign me a more competent repair service for my warranty. I never take time for reviews but felt strongly here. It is sad to watch a son destroy the company his father built. read more

Jimmy arrived within the specified time frame to take a look at our microwave and dishwasher that weren't working (side note - Electrolux appliances are expensive and awful, ugh). He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and figured out right away what was wrong. He also took the time to explain and show us what the problems were. I like that they only do service, and no sales, because you know they won't be trying to upsell you on brand new appliances which is something I was worried about. We will certainly be calling ASI again in the future if we need appliance repair! read more

Last weekend my dishwasher broke. Just kept blinking Er. It's under the 12 monthly warranty, so I called Fridgidaire and they created a ticket. Fortunately they contacted Appliance Services. First, within only an hour after the call with Fridgidaire (mind the spelling), I received a call from Appliance Services confirming that they would be at my house to fix the dishwasher. You don't receive many calls confirming days before the appointment is set, so I was happy about this. When Jim showed up (gosh I'm bad with names so I hope this is correct), he was so polite and took the time to explain what was going on with the dishwasher and tips on how to avoid the issue in the future. I've never had someone so nice and wanting to give you extra advice. I was so grateful and tried to give him a tip. With COVID, I feel so bad when someone has to come to my house to service an appliance. They are always putting themselves at risk for getting sick. He wouldn't take my tip. The service was top notch and I will continue to use his services in the future. read more

I don't give enough positive reviews and I know that. However these guys are magnificent. Called on Monday because my fridge was throwing a communication code on the control panel. Came on Tuesday at 8:05am (scheduled 8am-12pm), got the codes, tried to test and clear and couldn't. Ordered the part and was back promptly on time on Thursday and problem solved. Their tech was friendly and on time. Did the work in a timely manner what more could you ask for. read more

I just received excellent service from Jim who came out to check out my Frigidaire wall range that had just gone out on me. He was extremely professional, candid, and gave me a ton of helpful advice. I've been a loyal customer for years. They made repairs at both of my primary residences during that time, and made frequent visits to our rental unit. They've always been fair and reliable. I would give them 5 stars, but they refused to replace a garbage disposal for me recently...company policy. :( read more

Unfortunately we have a service agreement for my dishwasher with this monstrosity of a company. In less than a year, not one single appointment has gone smoothly. After having to wait over a week to even get an appointment and being scolded like a child last week about how they will leave if no one is there for the appointment, I did all that I could to make sure I did not find myself without a working dishwasher for another month. As instructed by the owner last week, I called first thing this morning and requested the two hour time block. On the same call, she once again confirmed my telephone number. This time I was calling from another number so I know it wasn't just from looking at caller ID. In fact, this is the same number they have used to contact me for other appointments this past year. Instead of calling me this morning, they contacted someone else on my account. The service rep then lied and said that he called me and I did not answer. However, the phone was sitting right in my face all morning because I know how these service reps like to try anything to get out of work. After calling from two different numbers and the phone oddly going to the night voicemail midday, I finally called again from a number that was not associated with my account. When I finally got answer, I was immediately placed on hold for 5 minutes before she even gave me a chance to explain what was going on....I gave her the rundown and then was placed on hold for another 5 as she called the service rep. After initially lying and saying he called me earlier, it was revealed that the number was now suddenly incorrect for me. NOT MY FAULT. I quite frankly do not care about your data entry troubles. Even after all of their mistakes, I am left with a dishwasher that does not work and an agreement with an incompetent service team. I don't even know when they are coming back out and truthfully, I am not really sure I want them in my house. I am looking forward to getting a new agreement with a more reputable company as soon as possible. I'm usually all for a Mom and Pop having my business, but this is a disaster. read more

First service call place Friday afternoon, 9-5-14 for a dishwasher repair. 2.5 weeks and three service visits later, still does not work. Did need to wait 1 week for a part that did not fix the problem. Only two technicians in the company. Difficult to get prompt follow up. After today's visit at 11:00 am, the machine failed again by 2:30 pm. The company was unable to get a tech out the same day. I did get a call at 7:00 pm offering to come on Friday, 2 days later. A woefully understaffed company. I was informed by the dispatcher that a dishwasher does not warrant, in their mind, emergency service. Very disappointed Post Script Tech called this morning and will refund our previous charges. The dude bailed on us. Twice the tech left believing he had fixed our dishwasher. Twice he was wrong. So much for standing behind your work. Back to square one, after 2.5 weeks. Ours souls have been broken. Our experience was completely opposite to the prior reviews. The service was neither timely or effective! read more

I could not be happier that this is a family owned Mom & Pop who believes in what they do and still aims to provide a REAL SERVICE! Very knowledgeable and will not take advantage of you. They will get right to the heart of the matter. Jim is terrific and ASI has real subject matter expertise. I will not make the mistake of allowing anyone else in my house to repair my appliances. This is the second time I have used Jim and his company. Trustworthy and reliable! I wish repairs were unnecessary, of course, but I will use Jim and only Jim again in the future! Thanks to the ASI Family Team! I appreciate your integrity. read more

Knowledgeable, smart, energetic, timely! This is a family-owned firm - when I scheduled an appointment, the owner of the company came (and on time!) to look over my non-functioning Jenn-Air cooktop. He knows the Jenn-Air brand well. He was smart about figuring out what the problem was, and gave me a timely estimate of the parts and labor cost to fix the cooktop. When the parts arrived, he thought again about the diagnosis and phoned me to discuss it. Ultimately I decided the problem cost more to fix than the cooktop was worth - but I couldn't ask for better service than I got from Appliance Services Inc. Strongly recommended! read more

The technician was on time and courteous. Listened to the problems I was encountering with a malfunctioning oven, troubleshot problem in concert with Jenn-Air, and came back and repaired/replaced the faulty parts. He was completely professional, seemed to know what he was doing and made the repairs without any hassles or problems. I couldn't ask for anything more. read more

Electrolux scheduled this company to do warranty work on my compact washer. I took a day off to accommodate the 8 to 12 window for repair of the washer. The window service time passed, no show, no call. I called and was told it would be around 12:45. At 1:15, I called back and told them to cancel the service appointment. Not good customer service and a disrespect of the customers time. Called Electrolux, reported the poor customer service and re-scheduled directly with an Electrolux service. No more 3rd party service. read more

Gentleman shows up in unmarked truck. Illegal in VA. Storming outside, he enters never removed shoes. Arrived at 10am, left at 10:22. He asked me the following: did the washer leak every time. did I have an oversized load in. He could not replicate the leak by running a short wash. He told me to watch the cycle and see where it leaks and call back to the warranty service they would come back out. I asked him to wash a load since he was already there. He said he couldn't stay an hour. I said, wash a short cycle. He said he just did. I said "yeah but without clothes in it". Since when does length of time being there matter when you are paid to fix the problem? I called and reported it to the warranty company that paid him to come out! What a complete waste of time! He left without putting anything back or even shutting the doors he opened to get to the washing machine. Thoughtless to boot! read more

Very disappointed ! We had an appointment today, but they never showed up. Said they were here at 12:30 but we were inside the entire day on the main floor with a dog that barks anytime a doorbell is rung. No advance call that they were on their way. Had they shown up, we would assume they'd call if no one answered the door. A day wasted. read more

I called Appliances Services, Inc. to come check out my KitchenAide refrigerator last week. Two men came more than one and a half hours after the two hour window they had given me. They walked in, opened the freezer, and saw the softened food. Without even pulling the refrigerator away from the wall to check anything, they said maybe turning the fuse box off for one minute might restart the compressor. It did not ... so I was told that a new refrigerator would be a better choice than to buy a new compressor. Then they left after payment of a service charge fee. After losing all the melted food that was in my freezer, I decided to try one more service before investing in a new compressor or even a new refrigerator. The man came on Saturday, pulled the refrigerator out and opened the back. Within 15 minutes he had diagnosed and fixed the problem, which was actually a thermostat part which he had in stock in the back of his truck. As a bonus, when I mentioned that I thought I had burned out the garbage disposal while putting all the melted food through it, he popped back into the kitchen and fixed that, too ... with no extra charge! Couldn't be happier with their expertise and service. I had a months-long "engagement" with Electrolux about whether my broken ice maker was covered under warranty. Electrolux doesn't think customers know how to use the internet and therefore can't discover the hundreds of other customers with the same problems. ASI's was the fourth technician to look at my ice maker. He knew exactly what was wrong. He knew it couldn't be fixed. He became my advocate in dealing with Electrolux and told me that I would hear from them within 72 hours. I almost laughed when he said that, but they called! Today I finally got a replacement refrigerator. I will never go anywhere else for appliance repair except ASI. read more

I would not use this company. It's family owned and when you have a customer service issue, you can bet that they will be rude and unprofessional. They will cancel an appointment at whim and not provide service if you tell them you are contacting the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself the unnecessary stress of dealing with this. Sure Jim may act like he provides good service when he comes to your home but just don't encounter any issues and the real behavior of these people come out. This is Appliance Services Inc in Manassas, VA. Find yourself a better company to deal with. Also if you buy a new home with appliances, check to make sure it was installed properly and is new and not brought to your home from another dissatisfied customer. Good luck. Avoid this company like the plague. They destroyed a brand new refridge that I had for only 8 months. The refridge was not cooling well when we contacted them. The service repair person from Alliance Services told us that the refridge was not under warranty and that he needed to put Freon in. But my refridge WAS under warranty. And what he didn't tell us was that he would puncture our line to do so and that would VOID our warranty. Plus the connection he added leaked so the refridge was not cooling at all within 4 days. So they took $$hundreds from me and refused to return to correct their error when I called. I had to buy ANOTHER refridge! This company is horrible!!! read more

I called Frigidaire to set up an appointment with appliance services on June 13. A schedule could only be made about 1 to 1 1/2 weeks later. Someone came out to see the fridge and a replacement part was ordered. It took maybe two or three weeks before someone came out to install the new part. The refrigerator got worse instead of better. The temperature rose instead of just fluctuating. Since then I had been trying to get them to schedule someone to come here because I knew it takes so long to fix a schedule. But they insisted that I spoke to the repair man first and that also lengthened the time. It's now August 8. They can't come to even look at it again until August 17. ...that's more than two months since an authorization was made by Frigidaire for the company to come out. Another thing Is that when I'm with the phone with the receptionist, she always seemed In a hurry to get the call done. Just not st all happy having a fridge thats worse than when it started and all.the long wait and delay. read more
