He never called about the supposed part- I'm guessing he didn't know how to fix it. Meanwhile I paid him 50 bucks for "diagnostics"??!

I called on a Tuesday evening and Maani arrived the next day within the window he gave me (when does that happen?!).

This ma and pa place is excellent. John came, looked, ordered parts, came and fixed it. His spouse Kimberly, who answered the phone initially, already basically troubled shot what the problem would be. She was right, and John fixed it without fuss. They are my go to and I forwarded their name to our realtor who always needs good a good list of folks. Again, what a complete and pleasant surprise. John was great without our deaf dog. Not his job to handle, but he was very patient. Sterling Appliance forwarded their name to us. By the way, Sterling Appliance could not fix built in refrigerators. How odd, but at least they did provide Top Notch, so I am very thankful. I don't promote anyone who doesn't care about their work ethic, but they are great.

Our LG washing machine had been stalling out with an error code indicating an issue that was likely a failing vibration sensor, this would leave our clothes partially washed and sopping wet. John from Top Notch came to our house, observed the washer failing to complete a cycle multiple times with the same error code and listened to our concerns. After leaving to research the problem he left a voice mail later that day saying that he had consulted a colleague and suggested that we were just loading it incorrectly, he then described in detail how to properly load a washing machine. For context, we had been using this washer for three years without issue before it suddenly started failing mid-cycle, we are also both in our mid/late thirties so we have some experience doing our own laundry. We decided to go back to Sterling Appliance who believed us when we said there was a problem and they replaced the board with the sensor. Unsurprisingly actually performing the repair was more effective than gaslighting us about it and the washer is back to normal

After wasting money on vegetables and milk that spoiled after only 3 days, it was time to call appliance repair services. Asif responded within 1 hour of my voice mail message and scheduled a visit for the next day! He diagnosed the problem immediately as a damaged fan that needed replacement and showed me the ice accumulation in the back. Also, the left door hinge was incorrectly installed by the Lowe's contractors. Asif removed and fixed the problem so the left door closed properly. For the replaced fan and door fix, it was about $325, but well worth every penny. I was glad to be able to use the GE refrigerator for another 2-3 years instead of shelling out $1,800 at Home Depot. Asif is polite and professional. In my opinion, you will get a fair price for appliance repair services. One thing he shared with me is that GE's appliance division was sold to Qingdao Haier Company (China) in 2016. So GE refrigerators are no longer a 100% American company. The ownership change might help to explain why the fan broke down after only 2 years.

Day of the apt and the service tech was at my house for 10 minutes before suggesting the problem was a sensor. I told him the sound it's making seems to be the pump....so he said he'd order both parts (!?) BUT couldn't give me a date of when it would be here. That was two weeks ago. I just checked the claim status and that the service was reported as COMPLETED by the technician and the problem RESOLVED, and that there is no part on order...?! So not only is my $890 dishwasher dead before it's first birthday, but the $200 warranty I bought just resulted in the tech closing the claim to get paid without fixing the issue or even ordering the parts. The end result? I get to start over, with a new service rep, and I guess just cross my fingers that this one will be better? HORRIBLE service, all around.

The technician spent about 5 minutes looking at it and while he didn't seem to do any diagnostics he said knew what was wrong with it and that he'd order the parts and follow up soon (control board or perhaps a temperature sensor, he wasn't very clear on the details). Several months went by without any followup, and our oven still doesn't work correctly. I finally got ahold of someone at Appliance Tech, and they say that no parts were ordered and that we should contact our warranty service directly to schedule a new appointment. I'll make sure it's with a different company this time. Avoid Appliance Tech at all costs.

I was scheduled for an appointment through Bodewell, a company that manages and handles the service repair requests for GE (phone 833 426339355, yes it was a long phone number). Bodewell in turn, scheduled an appointment time with Topline Appliance Service (571 505 5580). I am not going to go into the details, but one should know that they are dealing with 3 levels of "paperwork, authorizations, and communications." Be sure that you know your CASE NUMBER if you run into any issues. GE will want this information. I am not going to sugar coat the process, it took from January 27th, when I first called in my repair to February 17th to finally get my washer repaired. There were many phone calls in between. There definitely is a communication issue, however, the good news is that Topline Appliance Service did an excellent job with the repair. Fahim, Jawid, and there was a third technician whose name I didn't get, did an outstanding job with servicing my washer. They even pointed out to me that the original installer of my new washer mixed up the hot and cold hoses. They adjusted the hoses for a nominal fee. My suggestion to anyone going through this process is to be proactive with your communications with these 3 companies. Re-confirm appointments ahead of time to be sure that there are no last minute changes, to also keep a log of all phone calls and to be proactive, do not wait for them to call you. I give Topline Appliance 5 stars for the great job their technicians did, but only 1 star for the three companies involved in the process. Update since I posted this review. GE customer support just sent me an email dated 17 Feb 2026 at 544 pm to follow up to see if the issue was resolved. Let me add their phone number as a reference: GE Appliances Consumer Relations 1-800-386-1215 option 4 and enter case number

GE…read morerebranded GE Factory Service to Bodewell in 2024 in an attempt to distance their brand from their service arm before making sweeping cuts and bringing on more cost-effective third-party service partners. Topline is one of those third-parties. They advertise themselves as fast, efficient service, but the trade off for speed is that you get stuck with this dishonest, cheap as dirt company that does not communicate with you, your salesperson, or GE. You may be excited to find that they have next day appointments available in your area. Understand that this is a diagnostic appointment. They will submit for payment from GE for the visit and will do absolutely nothing to facilitate ordering of replacement parts/appliances. Additionally they will lie to you about what's wrong with your appliances and will lie about when or if they submit documents/findings to GE. Lastly, they will not answer their phone or respond to emails. Do not under any circumstances allow GE to route your Bodewell service through this joke of a company.
