When we got a crack in the shower pan of another bathroom (Nov 2023), I called up EP Remodeling. This second bathroom was done by two other people (not the owner) and had some issues with the grout cracking, which they came out to fix three times, telling me "it's the subfloor." We also had an issue with the shower niche holding water (they are supposed to be slanted so that the water drips from the front, not gets held up). I am short, and this is above eye level, so I didn't realize it until it was molded over. My husband asked them about this on one of their floor visits and they told him "it's supposed to be like that, take your hand and wipe it away." This is when I stopped contacting them. I kept making band-aid fixes - fixing the cracked grout, re-caulking in the niche (the caulk had molded and peeled away from holding water). Now, 18 months later, I am spending $2,500 because the floor is completely hollow--the tiles were buttered with mortar (the tile and floor are both supposed to get it). Also, the cement board wasn't screwed down to the subfloor (which two contractors told me it was supposed to be). When I showed two contractors photos of the progress each day they pointed out other problems - like the fact that to screw the cement board into the wall for the shower they used drywall screws, not the specific screws that are supposed to be used (and are obvious as they have fatter heads)... but they did use those for the first bathroom. I am really disappointed in the decline in the quality of the work, but how they lied to me that it was the sub-floor (if it really was the sub-floor, wouldn't they have said something when the bathroom was gutted) or that a shower niche is "supposed to be like that." I would be very careful and get it in writing as to who will perform the actual work before moving forward. The price I got was great, but it's not when you consider the extra supplies I had to purchase when they came out to "fix" their poor work, the costs I'll have to pay another contractor, and the new tile I will need to purchase again... as well as living through things being torn out and fixed over and over again.

Highly recommend. Excellent quality and service. EP installed my new kitchen countertops and…read morebathroom tile walls and floor.

They showed up on time and completed it without any problems, we could not be happier with them. The largest national brand didn't follow through, couldn't get return calls to questions. Econize was night and day better service.

Not only were they horribly expensive, but they took absolutely forever to get me a quote (who has time to sit there for 2+ through their presentation of how they're the best?!). They are proud to admit they're the most expensive, and then they move onto the used car salesman tactics of 'let me ask my manager' and 'if we go any lower than that we'll be taking money out of our employees pockets' and 'if you order today we'll give you 30% off!' typical pressure tactics. I said thank you and asked them to leave. That's when I found Econize! They were extremely respectful of my time, and showed me a 3D mock up of my closets within minutes. They offered an extremely reasonable price (less than half of what closet America quoted for 1 closet). Once I hired them for the work, they showed up perfectly on time, exactly on the day we agreed on, and their workers were very respectful and left my house clean. The work is gorgeous and exactly what i had envisioned! I will absolutely be recommending them to everyone I know and using them in the future! Thank you so much for being a good company, with a great work ethic, who do fantastic work, and most importantly have reasonable prices!

I have used them for several kitchens that required sanding, priming, and custom cabinetry. From start to finish, their professionalism and attention to detail stood out. Every part of the projects were done with such precision, you can tell they really care about the quality of their work. I love that they are a local family-owned company that value honesty. They are not the cheapest, nor the most expensive but they are honest, and they are fair, and the quality is top notch. What impressed me the most was how committed they are to making sure their customers are happy. David always took the time to listen to what I wanted, offered valuable suggestions, and made sure every detail was perfect. The team went above and beyond, working some nights and weekends, to ensure that I was completely satisfied with each stage of the process. The end results were nothing short of amazing and I love showing off my space to family and friends. If you're looking for quality craftsmanship, exceptional service, and a company that truly cares about its customers, Garcia Woodworks is the way to go! At the moment Justin is a one-man operation, and as a result he will require more time to complete his job than the big boys (e.g. California Closets when it comes to custom built-ins). The big boys, though, use particle board (whereas Justin uses birch plywood) and farm out the manufacturing operation to a factory to get things cut quick and have a install design (whereas Justin cuts everything himself in his own home, transports it himself and has to do all the alignments himself). I thought I had a civil engineer in my house measuring the curvature of my walls, that is how detailed he is. I asked Justin about what other kinds or work he does. He does all kinds of remodeling, including bathrooms among other things (although he will contracts out the plumbing for example). The big guys generally have a lead time of like 2-3 months. Justin's lead time is probably 1 month or so. He is extremely flexible. Very punctual too. I highly recommend him.
