Hall bathroom remodel. Replaced tub and shower.

Awesome from start to finish! We contracted in October to have the work done during the time we had off from work in December. Phil was our designer and everything was picked out and set before we signed the contract. Work started by the team of Carlos and Ronnie right on time. Came on time and worked hard and cleaned up beautifully. Dominic provided all the support to see that the job ran smoothly. Two weeks and two days later (with two holidays in there) the job was done and it looks terrific. Carlos is a master with the tile! They also remodeled my kitchen in 2017. Still love it!

The before-and-after picture of the work Kitchen and Floor Master did in our kitchen.

They redid our kitchen: cabinets, counter tops, appliances, kitchen island, recessed and under-cabinet lighting, backsplash, paint -- the whole works; everything but the floor. We got several estimates; theirs was about the same as one of the others in terms of cost, but we liked their design better so we went with them. They worked with us to refine things and come up with a design we liked. The work took a little longer than their original estimate, but we are very happy with it. Everything looks beautiful! We did have some minor communication issues (stuff like people showing up on a Saturday without calling first or having no one show up a couple days in a row with the work still incomplete due to some materials not arriving, but not calling to let us know what was going on), but these communication issues are no worse than we've had with similar contractors in the past. Sad to say, it seems to be a pretty common thing, so we would not let this deter us from using them again. They did a really nice job for a reasonable price. Overall, we would recommend them.

    Great work! Highly recommend them.

I asked them to do the hardwood floor for my new purchased single family in Fairfax, and you have done the best job that I ever had. The installation guy is professional, care, and friendly. After took my old carpet away, they found a leaking spot near the bathroom area. So they called and noticed me for repairs before install new hardwood on. If you want great customer service experience, you should go to the store and talks to The store manager. He would give you all kind of advices from home remodeling to life. Best of the best!

Outstanding work by Kitchen and Floor Master. If I could give 10 Stars they would deserve every star! I have been totally impressed and satisfied from the first meeting though our kitchen's completion. I cannot day enough about Paul and Dominic's professionalism and work effort. Our kitchen was no easy task, with the removal of two load bearing walls, and a total redesign and relocation of our kitchen which required a significant move of electrical, plumbing and structural requirements. Before hiring Kitchen and Bath Floor Masters, my wife and I viewed and talked to their clients who were all very satisfied. Paul's cost quote, and estimated completion time was met and exceeded. It was amazing from the very start to completion in regards to the daily attention to debris removal and clean up by all their workers. I cannot say enough positive comments about Dominic's project managment and his communications with us on daily scheduling as well as ensuring all work was done equally to his and our satisfaction. I would be remiss for not recognizing the work crews; plumbing, electrical, carpenter, tile installer and painters were all exceptional. The before and after result is amazing, and at a incredible reasonable cost for such a project.

Loving our new Exotic Brazilian Teak floors!

Their price is all-inclusive (carpet, pad, install, removal of old carpet) so that made the decision making less cumbersome.

My next door neighbor had Carpetland install hardwood floors throughout their house. Based upon…read moretheir recommendation, I hired Carpetland to replace the carpet in my upstairs hallway and the stairs to the first floor and basement after my wife slipped and fell down the stairs on some old carpet. We replaced the carpet with the same hardwood that we have on the first floor. The job went fairly well. There was a language barrier, as the crew that was sent either did not speak English, or did not speak it well. There were a few hiccups, but they were resolved without too many issues. Fast forward about 7 months. I decided to surprise my wife while she was out of town and had the first floor refinished. I specifically asked if the job could be done within my timeframe while my wife was out of town. While I was told that there would be no problem, I was not told that the tradeoff would be only one coat of polyurethane instead of two. That second coat makes a huge difference! Again, a crew shows up and language is an issue. I tried communicating as best I could, but they did not seem to understand. Dust control was a major issue. I am still finding areas of my house other than where the work was done covered with dust. The floor was gouged just inside the front door. Whoever was using the sander must have been doing on the job training. You can see where he changed directions with the sander and I still see swirl marks on the floor. The foyer was not sanded evenly, but the crew leader swears he could not see it. After registering my complaints, John-the sales rep-was very apologetic and offered to send the crew leader out to make things right. Roberto came back two days later and tried to gaslight my wife and I. He insisted that there were two coats of polyurethane on the floor...even though he wasn't not even present when it was applied. He did (mostly) fix where the floor was gouged. The non-English speaking crew returned the next day to apply a second coat of polyurethane. It is interesting that she spoke English well enough to ask for payment before she left. Once the floor dried, I noticed spots that were missed. I reached out to John again and he assured me that he would have Roberto come to address any concerns and he would return with him. It was at that point that I made the mistake of paying the invoice. I have not heard from John since. My next project involves replacing all of the carpet on the second floor with hardwood floors. Guess who will not be getting the job?

It was a no brainer to choose them. When it comes to the work itself, the craftsmanship was very good, the cuts are so clean and everything looks amazing. They did very fast work without sacrificing quality. The only areas for improvement I would say they could have are: - Communication during the days of the project, so you know without having to ask when they are coming, leaving, what the progress is, etc. - Ensuring when they put furniture and things back that they pay attention to things like hooking up HDMIs back to the correct places - Doing a better job of cleanup -- they left behind a TON of dust coating everything, sawdust in my basement that I presume blew in from leaving the garage entrance open where they were working, cans/water bottles left behind - Building in measurement/space for lower flooring to not leave a gap in the trim; they came back and did some caulking after I had a water/rain issue, but it still doesn't look as good -- I wish that their molding/trim solution filled the big gaps and I'm going to have to find a way to do that myself To their credit, they were very fast and responsive when I had a water issue and came back out the next day. I also had a crack in my basement ceiling where something pounded through or pounded the drywall loose from the flooring above being done, and they credited me enough money back to be able to have my handyman fix it. Overall, I would definitely use DFD again.
