They do spot on work every time and manage the entire scope of the project - flooring, painting, cabinetry, ceilings, plumbing, tile work. Anything you need - they'll do it AND coordinate all of the crew which is heaven sent for our home owners who have other pressing matters. If they can't do something due to time constraints or scope of the work - they always are upfront and tell home owners the reality instead of "just what they want to hear". We had floating laminate floors installed less than 5 years ago and there are major gaps in between the boards in every room we have. When we first used them, they did a shoddy job and had to call and ask them to come back again to fix some trim and molding. They simply glued trim in between our dining room and kitchen and almost immediately it lifted off. Since then, we've had to nail and fix it several times ourselves. I've lived in homes with floating floors before and never had had the issues that we've had with these. The only reason we went with this company is because the previous owner used them to install the kitchen flooring and wanted to match it. (Which they denied that they installed the kitchen floor when I called recently to ask about all the gaps showing up. I have all the historic emails to prove otherwise.) read more

Kitchen and Floor Master just installed carpet in our house on the second floor and stairs. The stairs install is nicely done - tight at the ends and tucked under the stairs nosing for a nice shadow line. The employees in the showroom were able to steer us to popular products that met our criteria and price point. Their price is all-inclusive (carpet, pad, install, removal of old carpet) so that made the decision making less cumbersome. The install was done in one day about a week and half after we made our selection. It was an easy process and we are very pleased with the results. Kitchen and Floor Master is taking covid precautions - wearing masks, hand sanitizer around the show room and frequent employee testing. AVOID. My family and I have used this place for years (25 to be exact), but finally calling it quits. The carpet itself looks great (Even though it looks completely different than what I picked out in the store), but just not worth putting up with everything else. They are rude in the store and install was an atrocious experience-- no masks during COVID, tore up portions of the walls, and did not anchor the thresholds of the doors upon completion. Called the store to inquire about getting the thresholds properly nailed down. They were left barely nailed back in, and with a light step can be dislodged. Was told that the crews do not carry that equipment, and it would have been impossible for them to have reinstalled the thresholds. ??? Why would anyone want their thresholds left like that? Isn't that part of the job to have it put back in after installing the carpet? It was alarming enough that the install crew was sent with no masks to be worn while interacting with me. They were rude and upset in response to me kindly asking them to put on a mask upon entering my home. The attitude after that interaction lingered the rest of the time they were here. I didn't think it would be too much to ask for them to pop on a mask while interacting with me, but apparently it was. The store defended the installers saying that it's too much to wear a fabric mask while installing the carpet and disregarded the heath concerns I proposed of them going in and out of peoples homes. Again, I was only asking them to wear a mask while interacting with me; they could take it off during install in the bedrooms. Awesome from start to finish! We contracted in October to have the work done during the time we had off from work in December. Phil was our designer and everything was picked out and set before we signed the contract. Work started by the team of Carlos and Ronnie right on time. Came on time and worked hard and cleaned up beautifully. Dominic provided all the support to see that the job ran smoothly. Two weeks and two days later (with two holidays in there) the job was done and it looks terrific. Carlos is a master with the tile! They also remodeled my kitchen in 2017. Still love it! read more

RUDE! I am looking to remodel my kitchen and 4 bathrooms. After reading reviews here, I thought I'd give a local business my business. I walked in and was met by a lady who said maybe another guy there might possibly help me. He came out and asked what I wanted. I told him that I'd like to have our guest bathroom remodeled (I wanted to see how they would treat this job, before hiring them for an entire big job). He asked who would be doing the work. Um, not me; that's what I'm here for. He told me I would have to pick out the countertop, vanity, tile, etc. I said great, let's do it (this is not my first rodeo, I've remodeled several rooms in several homes that I've owned). It was obvious he was not at all interested in talking with me. I asked to see the vanities (let's get this started). He pointed to the wall (where they have many cabinet faces hanging). If you don't want my business, this place sure knows how to achieve that! Barely give me the time of day. Point to your stuff from across the room. Imply how hard it would be for a woman to actually pick out the surfaces of her new bathroom. I walked out highly offended. read more

Sonny gave us expert advice and even some remodeling tips. Everything turned out perfect. No complaints. They redid our kitchen: cabinets, counter tops, appliances, kitchen island, recessed and under-cabinet lighting, backsplash, paint -- the whole works; everything but the floor. We got several estimates; theirs was about the same as one of the others in terms of cost, but we liked their design better so we went with them. They worked with us to refine things and come up with a design we liked. The work took a little longer than their original estimate, but we are very happy with it. Everything looks beautiful! We did have some minor communication issues (stuff like people showing up on a Saturday without calling first or having no one show up a couple days in a row with the work still incomplete due to some materials not arriving, but not calling to let us know what was going on), but these communication issues are no worse than we've had with similar contractors in the past. Sad to say, it seems to be a pretty common thing, so we would not let this deter us from using them again. They did a really nice job for a reasonable price. Overall, we would recommend them. read more

I asked them to do the hardwood floor for my new purchased single family in Fairfax, and you have done the best job that I ever had. The installation guy is professional, care, and friendly. After took my old carpet away, they found a leaking spot near the bathroom area. So they called and noticed me for repairs before install new hardwood on. If you want great customer service experience, you should go to the store and talks to The store manager. He would give you all kind of advices from home remodeling to life. Outstanding work by Kitchen and Floor Master. If I could give 10 Stars they would deserve every star! I have been totally impressed and satisfied from the first meeting though our kitchen's completion. I cannot day enough about Paul and Dominic's professionalism and work effort. Our kitchen was no easy task, with the removal of two load bearing walls, and a total redesign and relocation of our kitchen which required a significant move of electrical, plumbing and structural requirements. Before hiring Kitchen and Bath Floor Masters, my wife and I viewed and talked to their clients who were all very satisfied. Paul's cost quote, and estimated completion time was met and exceeded. It was amazing from the very start to completion in regards to the daily attention to debris removal and clean up by all their workers. I cannot say enough positive comments about Dominic's project managment and his communications with us on daily scheduling as well as ensuring all work was done equally to his and our satisfaction. We recently purchased a home that had light beige carpet throughout the house. We have two dogs so we knew that the carpet would get dirty quickly so we mentioned to our realtor that we would most likely change it out for a hardwood or wood laminate. He recommended Aref and his team at Carpet & Floor. We met with him prior to closing on the home so we could talk through our options and be ready to go once we had the keys in our hands. At first we were not sure whether to go with hardwood or wood laminate because we were worried that the floors would start to look dented/damaged from their nails. We ended up going with the wood laminate that they custom make called Exotic Brazilian Teak (take a look at the photo section to check it out) for its durability and we couldn't be more pleased. Our dogs can run across the room without a single scratch. We did run into an issue after the floors were put in, due to our floors not being level. There were a few "soft spots" that you could feel when you walked over them and one just happened to be right when you walked into the house. I talked to Aref and he came out to check on it and while they are not responsible for fixing uneven structural issues, he helped us out and was able to have his team remove the flooring, add a leveler material and redo the floor at no extra cost. The end result came out wonderful and we love it. We also had them put new carpet on two sets of stairs that is made for higher traffic and that can be cleaned without fear of discoloration. I really think that Aref and his team truly want to have happy customers and will go the extra mile to ensure that you are taken care of. read more

I met with Paul to have measurements done to have my kitchen remodeled. He came up with designs and provided a total price quote over the phone. I asked 3 times for the written quote and it was never provided. I am glad they don't care about my business or need it, because they won't be getting it. Way too difficult to deal with. My family just moved into a new house and while many great updates had been made, the finished basement was filled with old white vinyl flooring. With an active toddler, we practically live in our basement and needed it to be a warmer, more appropriate play space with carpeting. The catch was that we wanted to have carpet installed ASAP after closing/moving in so we could put our furniture and our son's toys into the space and get settled right away. We contacted Kitchen and Floor Master after getting a recommendation from our friends and boy did they deliver. They measured the basement the day we moved in and worked with us to install the carpeting the next day!! They even matched the color of the new carpeting that had been installed in our bedrooms upstairs, but with higher quality and thicker padding, which will be great for a high traffic area like our basement. The cherry on top was a very fair price for a 1,000+ sq ft space. We couldn't be happier with the service and end result and look forward to contacting them again in the future for other home improvement needs. read more

Wow!! The new carpet looks amazing! We worked with Sonny to purchase carpeting for our new house. He worked with us on a tight schedule to get all the measurements done on the day we closed on the house and install the very next day. (We were hustling to get the carpets in before we actually had to move in.) Best of all, the installation crew was excellent. They were incredibly professional and did outstanding work. Anyone can sell carpet but the installation is what really matters. The work was flawless with tight seams everywhere. They also did a good job of cleaning up when they were done. We purchased a carpet runner for our stairs by putting half of the cost down at the time of order (in store) on our credit card. After the installation, we paid the balance by check directly to the installers. Both times we received a receipt. The store called us to notify us that their credit card processing had been hacked in some way and the payment was routed to another account. Apparently this happened with multiple customers, not just us. They requested that we file a dispute with our credit card company, which we did. The CC company said the charge had been paid in their system and we had received the services, so there was nothing they could do. If fraud occurred, it was between the store and the CC processing service, so it was the store's issue to resolve. Now they are calling me and implying that they will take legal action against us. This is harassment and intimidation in my opinion. I will never do business with this company again. read more
