I should have gotten more quotes, so I can't honestly say that they are the most competitively priced. After reading such great reviews, i contacted this company for the quote to replace a hardwood on the main level of our house, stair case and hallway upstairs, as well as a carpeting in the basement. Melvin came to do an estimate. He was a nice guy. However did not include staircase in his estimate and asked to come back again with his crew so they can take a look at the stair case. That was ok with me. So he came back with another three guys, after all of them looked at the stairs , Melvin said he will get back to me in a day with updated quote. And never did. I texted him numerous times, called, but no answer. And understand it a pretty large project and its ok if you cant handle it, but i think that its need to be said upfront or at least pick up your phone and explain that it's too difficult to do for you. But ignoring your potential client is not acceptable. read more

Melvin and his crew did a wonderful job! We had them to replace floor for 3 bedrooms upstairs, hallway, and stairs with dark-colored engineered hardwood so that they match with main floor. They showed up on time, worked very hard all day, and finished everything on the same day. They cleaned up really well afterwards, too. We absolutely love our new floor! I've used Melvin's services for carpet twice and also for hardwood floors to improve upon a previous job from someone else that should've been done better. The carpet came out great each time, much better than the previous car but I had installed with a much better fit and finish. Melvin's communication is great and the prices are very competitive. I initially called him to have the wrinkles pulled from just two areas but he recommended that I pull some other problematic areas as well. First, they responded within 15 minutes of us requesting a quote, which was reflective of the high degree of customer service they offer. When we asked if it was possible to get carpet installed before Thanksgiving (a mere two weeks away) Melvin showed up that night to show us carpet samples. He was extremely knowledgeable about the different carpet lines and ultimately helped us select the carpet best for us. He never tried to upsell us, or in any way drive us toward a decision, he just patiently answered our questions until we made a decision.
