Sam's team did a great job installing LVP throughout my new house. Sam was very responsive and answer all my questions. I got 3 different quotes for the job and Sam's price was very reasonable, especially with a discount on the specific LVP that I really liked. The crew worked quickly without sacrificing quality. They removed the old carpet and floors and install the new LVP floors throught my 2-story townhouse and staircase in just two days. The new floor looks amazing and the stairs look awesome. I highly recommend Floors and Designs. read more

We just had carpeting pulled up and replaced with wood flooring. Working with Sam to select the floor was very easy and he gave us confidence when he showed us what color wood he recommended to match the adjacent room. The crew came today and did a very thorough, excellent installation. They were quick and careful when moving the furniture. We are altogether very happy with the job performed by Floors and Designs/Burke. I highly recommend this company. Joelle F read more

I can't say enough good things about this team! They reinstalled my basement carpet incredibly fast -- less than a week from the time they came out to the actual installation -- which was a lifesaver since I was on a tight schedule. They also reinstalled the carpet in my master bedroom within two weeks, which was still very quick. They moved all my furniture for me, worked professionally and efficiently, and didn't leave a mess behind. Friendly, reliable, and top-notch quality -- I highly recommend them for any flooring needs! read more

For the amount of carpeting we wanted to install and the quality we got the price was reasonable. The installers were excellent. We had some requests because of coaxial cable running under the carpet and they were careful to insure none of the cable was cut. I want to share my full experience with Floors and Designs because it differed greatly from the glowing reviews I initially read online. In December 2024, my husband and I began looking for a company to update our flooring. After researching, we chose Floors and Designs in Burke based on their reviews. Our initial interactions were positive -- professional, responsive, and courteous. The owner, Saman Eskandari, provided our walkthrough and estimate, and the quote seemed fair compared to others we received. During this visit, I specifically mentioned our large furniture, and he assured me his team would handle it. In August, we visited the showroom and worked with Matt, who was professional and helpful. He confirmed with Sam that a military discount would be applied at the time of our final payment. We placed our deposit, scheduled the installation, and moved forward. The installation team was excellent. They were professional, efficient, and the flooring looks fantastic. I have nothing but praise for their workmanship. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there. A miscommunication about the stairs led to them not being covered during the project, leaving the carpet stained. When my husband raised the issue, Sam dismissed our concerns, repeatedly emphasizing that he had not charged us for moving furniture or baseboards, and therefore would not provide compensation. When it came time for final payment, the military discount we were promised was not applied. Matt acknowledged that he had indeed offered it, but said Sam refused to honor it. When I attempted to follow up directly, Sam called me and the conversation quickly turned unprofessional. He repeatedly interrupted, raised his voice, and focused only on what he claimed were "discounts" he had already given rather than addressing my concerns. He contradicted what was promised, denied conversations had taken place, and showed little interest in resolving the issue. In short: Pros: The installation team did excellent work, and our floors look beautiful. Cons: The owner was dismissive, unprofessional, and unwilling to resolve concerns in good faith. A promised military discount was not honored, and the handling of customer concerns fell far short of the "100% satisfaction" guarantee promoted on their website. Because of the outstanding work of the crew, I am leaving two stars. However, due to the owner's unprofessionalism and lack of accountability, I cannot recommend this company and would advise others to proceed with caution. read more

Floors and Designs was great from start to finish. I called and made an appointment with Sam to get a quote for new carpeting and he was out the next day. The price was good and the quality of the carpet and padding was excellent. We wanted it in before the Holidays and he was able to get the carpeting in and installed in no time. From purchasing to getting the carpeting installed took less than two weeks. The installition crew was fast, clean and efficent. A pleasure to work with all around. read more

No wonder this company always gets 5 star reviews, and here's another. We rent a condo in Reston and our landlord who lives in the UK agreed to change out our old carpet for LVP. I received multiple quotes and no one came close to Sam and his team. Not only was the price better than everyone else, Sam was also extremely professional and responsive. He worked hand in hand with my landlord and I to get this project done in only 1.5 days. The crew onsite was fantastic, professional, clean and moved all of my furniture around with no issues. Final product looks fantastic and we couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend Sam and his team. read more

We used Floors and Designs for installation of new hardwood floors, LVP and carpet. Sam was nice to deal with and he provided us with some very helpful suggestions and ideas. Overall, his team did a very nice job and we're very pleased. There were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed and Sam had his installers back the following day. While we think Sam was fair and accommodating, we were hoping for a bit more. But we're pretty happy with the results. read more

We were moving into a new home, and needed new floors. Ok, we didn't need new floors, but I hated the red oak hardwood, and the tile in the kitchen. We were planning on LVT, but Sam gently convinced us to keep the hard wood, and said he would be able to install hardwood in the kitchen and foyer to match. He worked with our budget and gave us lots of good advice. He was very patient with us and quickly responded to any questions or concerns we had. The project was on schedule, and his team was prompt and very nice. I wish every home project ran this smoothly. I would highly recommend Sam for your next renovation. read more

These guys did a phenomenal job on our white oak floors. They always showed up on time and kept us in the loop on their progress. The job started when they said it would and they finished on their projected completion date. The crew: hard working and personable. We looked forward to seeing them every day they were at our house. They were respectful, kind, and some of the hardest workers I've ever seen. They also cleaned up as much as possible. Early last year, Floors and Designs removed the linoleum, carpet, and engineered hardwood on the main level of my house and replaced it all with Bruce luxury vinyl plank (LVP) that has been a phenomenal transformation. The LVP was a recommendation from Sam, and the brighter, natural oak color opens up the space making it appear bigger. Sam had a crew of three professionals that transformed the main level in about 1.5 days. The crew worked hard and was friendly. The LVP has been easy to clean and holds up to traffic well. As an added precaution, I do have felt protectors at the bottom of my chairs. Love the cohesive look that the product provides and have plans for the company to update some other areas. Update: After almost a year, the flooring still looks like it was just installed and holds up well to heavy traffic. read more

Project: Hardwood flooring replacement on main level and new carpeting on upper level. Fantastic from start to finish is how we would describe our experience with Floors and Designs! The buying experience was excellent. We sat down with Sam, discussed options and budget in the calming showroom. Sam provided us with samples to take home and so we began. Sam was able to to have the products ready to install within one week of selection and the pricing seemed reasonable. The hardwood installers team headed by J were hard working, showed up on time and did a beautiful job. It took them 1.5 days to remove and replace the main level flooring. The upstairs carpeted rooms had an equally hard working crew that arrived on time and that completed their job in one day to include removal and replacement. We would rate this experience as excellent, 10 stars on a 5 star scale! read more

Sam, the owner of Floor and Designs, was fantastic to work with. He was very helpful and patient in helping us decide on what type of flooring to choose from and was always quick to respond to our questions through texts or offer to meet in person. The pricing for the floor installation was fair and reasonable. I called several other flooring companies and Floor and Designs was among the few companies that were in our budget. The installation process itself had a few hiccups such as taking slightly longer than expected and some miscommunication with materials but they were friendly and courteous in resolving it. There was also an unexpected dent in one of the flooring pieces that was unfortunate. However, overall they did a great job and the floor looks wonderful. I have a few other flooring projects in mind for the near future and fully expect to call Sam again. read more

When we purchased our home in 2018, we knew that we would eventually want to replace the carpet in the living room, dining room, and the main office to match the hardwood floors already in the kitchen, family room, and foyer (Bruce Hardwood-Gunstock). Once we were ready to make the change, we were somewhat overwhelmed with finding the best flooring company, so we asked neighbors for recommendations and did some research by reading online reviews. After selecting three companies to give us estimates, we chose Floors and Designs and could not be happier with our choice! First, we were impressed with Sam's professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail. In addition to having hardwood on the main level, we wanted to replace the carpet on the stairs, hallway, and office on the second floor but were concerned about the overall cost. Sam patiently listened to our ideas and concerns then presented us with different options to consider before making our final decision. On the day the flooring was scheduled to be installed, we were equally impressed with the "A-Team" sent for the installation. The entire crew was professional, courteous, hard-working, and true craftsmen. In three days, our home was transformed, and we could not be more delighted with the results. We highly recommend Floors and Designs. The only question we are asking ourselves now is, "What took us so long?" read more
