My next door neighbor had Carpetland install hardwood floors throughout their house. Based upon their recommendation, I hired Carpetland to replace the carpet in my upstairs hallway and the stairs to the first floor and basement after my wife slipped and fell down the stairs on some old carpet. We replaced the carpet with the same hardwood that we have on the first floor. The job went fairly well. There was a language barrier, as the crew that was sent either did not speak English, or did not speak it well. There were a few hiccups, but they were resolved without too many issues. Fast forward about 7 months. I decided to surprise my wife while she was out of town and had the first floor refinished. I specifically asked if the job could be done within my timeframe while my wife was out of town. While I was told that there would be no problem, I was not told that the tradeoff would be only one coat of polyurethane instead of two. That second coat makes a huge difference! Again, a crew shows up and language is an issue. I tried communicating as best I could, but they did not seem to understand. Dust control was a major issue. I am still finding areas of my house other than where the work was done covered with dust. The floor was gouged just inside the front door. Whoever was using the sander must have been doing on the job training. You can see where he changed directions with the sander and I still see swirl marks on the floor. The foyer was not sanded evenly, but the crew leader swears he could not see it. After registering my complaints, John-the sales rep-was very apologetic and offered to send the crew leader out to make things right. Roberto came back two days later and tried to gaslight my wife and I. He insisted that there were two coats of polyurethane on the floor...even though he wasn't not even present when it was applied. He did (mostly) fix where the floor was gouged. The non-English speaking crew returned the next day to apply a second coat of polyurethane. It is interesting that she spoke English well enough to ask for payment before she left. Once the floor dried, I noticed spots that were missed. I reached out to John again and he assured me that he would have Roberto come to address any concerns and he would return with him. It was at that point that I made the mistake of paying the invoice. I have not heard from John since. My next project involves replacing all of the carpet on the second floor with hardwood floors. Guess who will not be getting the job? read more

Horrible service! Received 2 emails confirming a date to repair carpet. They were supposed to arrive 7-8 am. I called at 9:00am, they proceeded to lie that they came by. We had already moved out and was preparing to put home on market. Not only did this delay putting my home on the market but I had to leave at 5:30 am to get there at 6:30 am. read more

This isn't necessarily about the Harwood floors themselves that were installed but the level of service I received from the installers, primarily Ibis/Elvis, which in retrospect I believe was sexist. To note, had I listened to the MANY "concerns and warnings" of the installer not only would the flooring project have stalled out but I'd be without any of my closet doors. In general, the flooring is adequate although uneven in some places w areas of missing molding. Despite the rest of the staff being extremely polite and assuring me that the installers behavior was uncharacteristic it just wasn't a great experience. read more

Unfortunately wasn't the best fit. They did a measurement, and provided a quote for laminate. Overall, they were okay. However, we arrived to finalize the contract, no one was there even though it was still within their business hours. They decided to close the store to do a measurement. Meanwhile the sample that we selected was still in the trunk of a sales associate. So that tells me their selection isn't complete. read more

Bought new, 'high-end' carpet from them a couple years ago. It was supposed to be very plush, stain resistant, etc. but showed large mystery spots and visible wear within a couple of months (and not from heavy use or abuse). Also had issues with installation and they had to return to try and fix. Very disappointed all around. read more

I couldn't be happier with my purchase from Sam at Carpetland. Sam worked patiently with me on design and a price within my budget. The two workers (Aldo and Jeffrey) who came to my home for installation were the utmost professionals. They did an excellent job installing the runner on our curved stairs and they made sure to clean up well. Highly recommended! read more

Poor customer service. They won't even entertain new business without a down payment. That does not make any sense.

Ok- to start with, the installation was great. Momo installed my carpet runner in about 3 hours-very efficient and following health protocols. But Sam is shady. I asked about using the 10% coupon from Yelp for my job. He then made up a story saying I had already asked for a reduction because I told him the quote was too expensive. He told me he had gone to his manager and had come down already so I could not use the coupon. Lies and all made up. Then he told me that it was too bad I didn't remember. So now not about the coupon- but about the fact that he isn't honest. Beware. read more

This review is for carpet we purchased and had installed almost 2 years ago. Sam was the sales representative I dealt with, and was very professional and patient - helping to show me several options within my budget. I was a little nervous using a business I had no referrals for, but this ended up being a surprisingly satisfactory experience. I received a quality carpet at a lower price than was quoted from many other installers. No issues with the install team - they were efficient, professional, courteous, and left my new carpeted basement spotless. This was the least stressful part of a larger kitchen and basement remodel following a major household flood. read more

After you purchase from carpetland customer service is so bad. Their carpet installer do not do good job. Everywhere is bubble up and need to pull and starch up, padidng joint is not joint properly . called so many times to come and see what have you done the carpet you guys install. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by Carpetland. I had extenuating circumstances that basically meant I had to sell my home soon and it needed new carpet. I fully expected yet another uncaring corporate business, but John Y. at Carpetland was just a nice guy about the whole thing. He helped me keep costs way down and helped me select a color that would be good for the sale - Hamid, who did the measuring for the initial quote, was also very nice; I never met the installers themselves directly (my realtor did), but everything came out great. read more

Great job & super staff! I had called & spoke to Ben--as a friend had used them & also dealt with Ben & was very happy with the work. He responded very quickly & was out within a day to give us an estimate. We have hardwood floors & wanted 2 rooms to be sanded & refinished. There was a bit of damage to some areas in those rooms. He was very accommodating with scheduling & when I had questions--he responded back within a very short time. The main installer, Jose, along with a helper--did a fantastic job! Arrived at the set time & cleaned up each day. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mike--I assume possibly one of the owners & he too was very helpful, friendly & informative.
