THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE PLACE TO BUY A CAR!!!!!!!!! My husband and I went here on a referral from another car dealership, like some, not having the best credit was our downfall. We were told to talk to ADRIANNA, she could help us. Let me tell u, she's a fast talker, she was a poor excuse for a car salesman. We told her we only had 1500 to put down, and oh that was not a problem, then she started showing us a few cars, and she kept on pushing this Ford Focus on us, saying oh this is the best car for you guys, We looked at it, not really being interested, then she started going from one car to another, and as we were looking so did the price of the deposit. Mind u a Focus is a more conservative and cheaper car. She new we were in a bind, needed a car quick, and pulled out all the stops to be as deceiving as they get. Told us about other cars but kept on with this Focus, said it only had 44 thousand miles, for a 2012. Well it had been a long week, My Toyota Tundra engine blew, I was devistated already, it had already been a week of UBER's from one dealership to the next, so my husband and I were really tired by this point. So not only did they take another thousand dollars down, but lied about the milage , which was 90 thousand, then to kick it off, it doesn't even have 1000 miles on it, and it's falling apart. The owner RYAN spoke to him and tells us well it got here didn't it . I was livid. Please dear people, spread the word about this place. It's a poor excuse of a business. This place is unbelievable! We were looked straight in the eye by the car salesmen Tim, who told us at the Acura we were purchasing had a clean title and registration was all paid for. Only to find out that they not tell us the car with a salvage title had been totaled in an accident and rebuild. And 3 1/2 weeks later we found that the registration was NOT paid and the DMW included a list of fees that were to be paid not by KarZ Plus, but us. To add insult to injury, when called about all of this items Tim told us and I quote "The rattling that you say is happening on the freeway is caused by the wind" I would avoid this place like the plague, and don't let their greasy haired sells man trick you into a world of trouble. read more

Karz Plus sold me a Jeep Cherokee with a warranty and a "safety inspection' at the Escondito location. The day after I drove it off the lot the engine overheated and I broke down on the side of the road. The entire undercarriage was rusted, the engine light was on and needed replacing, the right back door didn't close well, the breaks needed replacing, the emergency brake pin broke off and all tires needed replacing. Karz is as unethical as they come as is their fiancé company Gold Acceptance. They are misleading and lie. They "claimed" they would fix the car and rather played bait and switch with multiple auto repair garages and never delt with the real issues - as a result I constantly broke down ( 30-40x). No safety inspection report was ever produced. They have changed their name multiple times because they have been sued multiple times. Do not under any circumstances purchase a car from this company. I really wish I could put a negative star on this. I have had it with this company. I bought a volvo from them and in my contract is states the repairs that were to be made and I cannot reach anyone in regards to this. With in a week my car started leaking oil so again I call the dealership and again NOTHING. I have spoken to BBB and a complaint has been made also with the DMV of Investigations and now I am looking for a lawyer. If they do not want to make the needed repairs to my car that I have asked for that is fine I will just now sue them. This is your CAUTION stay away from them. I just bought my 2nd car through Karzplus last night and couldn't be happier. I've worked with the salesman Joel both times and he is great!! He is friendly, patient, understanding and takes his time explaining things to make sure they are completely understood. He is always available and willing to answer any questions. When I got the first car, the fusion, the battery died the next day and he made sure I got immediately reimbursed for it. Besides that I didn't have any other problems with the car. I decided that I wanted a smaller car with better gas mileage and he assisted me to trade in my car and get the new one I wanted. The whole experience was so easy and I was very pleased with everything. He was even able to help me get the payment down to something that was within my budget. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone. Every one who I have spoke to in this company has lied to me and gave me the run around in nearly everyway imaginable. I purchased a vehicle off of them Dec 10, 2013 While test driving it the check engine light came on so when I returned after the test drive I told Joel the current salesman about the issue he says "oh no its fine they changed the oil and did a tune up on it but didn't reset the light" so after he took it out for a drive and tinkered with it for about an hour or so while I waited inside he says everything is good no issues. This being my first car purchase from a lot I figured I could trust him. Huge mistake on my park to hold even the slightest bit of trust for these people. 30 minutes after driving off the lot the engine light came on again/ I called joel and told me I am having the same issue with the check engine light he says to bring it in as soon as I can to have it fixed. I work 6 days a week 13 hours a day so the only available time I had to take it back was the week after on my next day off so over the next 3-4 weeks I dropped my car off to him 3 times and each and every time the problem never got fixed. I ended driving all the way to national city the last time to pick my car up because they had it for almost a week and each day suggested a different problem. After getting my car back I went to my own mechanic and he found the issue within 2 hours. it was caused by a faulty air intake and mass air flow sensor. I paid $1200 out of my own pocket to get it fixed. One month and a few weeks later my entire right side of the engine goes out due to malfunctioning of internally lubricated parts. Camshaft, phaser, Timing chain, timing gears, and scouring on the inside of the engine. Reccomended fix from my mechanic and from the warranty inspector is an engine swap. Total estimated cost of repairs $6500. I contacted karz plus many times over the next 3 weeks to have them reimburse me for the out of pocket cost since they illegally sold me a car with check engine light on and since the car is basically a giant brick now. they have been giving me the runaround everytime I contact them. I sent them all the invoices as proof of my cost and still the General manager Eric Hides from my calls and refuses to call me back. Instead they have their 3rd party repair shop call me to convince me to take to them to put in a engine with unknown mileage and in a unknown condition. read more

If I can put less than a star I would, we bought a car for my daughter 2 months ago, and out of the blue it stopped working , the engine went out!! it is a 2006 dodge charger cost us 10000 plus 1500 down. We have been talking to them and they want us to buy the extended warranty because they do not want to pay for the damage, stating it is not their fault. the mechanic that was suppose to check the car in the first place is charging 3000 to fix the car. We do not have that kind of money!. Oh my goodness. This place is a complete and total disappointment. I have had the worst service ever. I purchased a care there (I traded in a vehicle) in September of 2013. I should have known it would be a complete headache rather than an upgrade when the car wouldn't turn on as I was ready to leave, after signing the contract. When I test drove it, it did not do this. The salesman, Jeremiah, tried to turn it on and couldn't, so he called Joel over, who turned it on. The problem was the gear shift. It had to be pulled all the way down and "popped" back into park to start it. Of course, I was worried, and they appeased me by telling me it would get fixed. Well, that was a complete run around process. It's such a horrible long story that I don't have time to type it all. Suffice it to say, they sent me to a place called K&T. DON'T EVER HAVE THEM SERVICE YOUR CAR! After having to leave my car there over the weekend. The problem came back the very next day after I picked it up. WTF!? I called Jeremiah and got the run around again. They wanted me to take it back. I can't afford to leave it over the weekend because I work, and those people do a shit job anyway. I refused to take it there, so they recommended a guy in National City. When I called him..well, he couldn't take my care without approval from Karz Plus. I called Jeremiah yet again, and he said "I will call Alex and he will call you back." NEVER HEARD FROM ALEX of National City!!! So, I decided to show up in person after not getting a call back from ANYONE! Jeremiah didn't know why I hadn't been called back. Imagine that. They made me take the damn car back to the same stinking place. They had my car ALL DAY and did nothing to it. because they had to order the part the guy said. I was so angry. I get a call an hour later from someone at K&T and they tell me there is something else wrong with the car and I need to pay $100 to fix it. That's when I blew my top. I had to call Karz Plus and couldn't help but tell them off as they continued to play the "Uh" card. I WILL NOT PAY FOR A REPAIR THAT WASN'T DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!! Now, of course my warranty won't cover whatever they are saying needs to be fixed. I was told to contact Alex again, and now he won't see the car for himself but basing his opinion of the repairs on what he was told by God knows who. Basically, I'm screwed. To top it off, my registration, smog and tags were an issue too. I was called a month after I purchased the car to say there was an issue with registration and tags because the car needed to be smogged and the VIN number had to be confirmed. I had to take time from my life to do this. SHOULDN'T THIS HAVE BEEN DONE PRIOR TO SELLING THE DAMN CAR? DON'T BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE! YOU WILL BE SORRY! After first writing the review, the owner of the company, had his mechanic reach out to me to try and resolve the issues. He did Alex was great he took my car diagnosed the problem and found that all of it was covered by Chevy. He had the car fixed and it passed smog the first time. I still think the manager is an idiot and I cant believe he works in a customer service related job. Stay Far away from this place!!! Very deceitful/rude sales people!! Especially RYAN!! They will lie and tell you you are approved for a vehicle and have you sign contracts and drive off with the vehicle and then call you and say they found you a better bank with a better financing rate and to come in and sign a new contract, weeks later they will call and make up something to get you to come bk to the dealer just to notify you that you have not been approved and you must return the vehicle. On top of that they will try to charge a depreciation fee!! Don't let them con you like this!! It is ILLEGAL!!! On top of that check your second contract they may have you sign and make sure it's nots back dated to the first, this is also ILLEGAL (federal offense), also if for any reason they don't get in contact with you within those 10 days after the contract is signed to notify you that they aren't able to get you approved you are not obligated to return the vehicle, you can indeed keep the vehicle and make your regular payments to the dealership!!! They will be legally responsible for financing the vehicle and it's nothing they can do about it!! No matter how much they try to threaten you, it's just that a Threat legally it's nothing they can do, the Vehicle is yours!!! Just take heed when dealing with these con artists!! read more

I went to Kars Plus and had to trade my truck in which I loved very much but there was problems starting. I have never had to buy my own car on my very own so I was scared to death, always questioning my choice and if I could afford it. Was I going to get taken to the cleaner's, was I getting sold a junk car. I had no one I could take with me to make sure I was doing the right thing. But after I signed the paper's and drove off the lot with my 2012 Nissian Versa I was feeling a little better. But I was holding my breath. Then the transmission went bad in it but due to the fact I had bought that insurance. They got my car to a mechanic and they loaned me one of there car's to drive while my car was getting fixed. I called them every week asking what was going on with my car. Not realizing that I should of been calling the mechanic shop. I drove those men crazy. I do apologize for my behavior. But they didn't have to loan me a car either but they did. So I have read those yelp reviews and I can say that I had a great experience with them. They had to jump threw so many hoops with me and they always did just to make me happy or have a happy ending. I have no more problems with my car. This car is clean with only a very little paint chips and she's clean inside also. She runs great and I will buy my next car from them if I need to. the biggest mistake i have made eveeeerr!! i got a 2005 buick lacrosse cx from here in feb of this year. it hasn't been 3 months from the time of purchase. from the start, the transmission mount went out. took it to ben's across the street for fixing. for a loaner they gave me a ford taurus. fumes filled the inside of the car. the windows couldn't roll down. and all philip can tell me is that, that's the only car they had left on the lot for me to use. then, i was told my car would be ready at 3pm the next day (saturday). went to pick up my car and the place was closed and my car is still raised in the air. i couldn't run any of my errands or go to work because i had no car. brian approaches me sayin how much he had to spend to fix the problem. first of all if y'all did a thorough check and fixed these vehicles properly before selling, no one would be coming back with problems. no one wants to spend their time at your lot. then, couple weeks later, the inlet broke. which was fuckin plastic so i had to replace with a aluminum inlet smh. the information cluster light is out! so i wouldn't be able to tell if anything is wrong with my car because the lights isn't working. also, my spark plugs was neveeer replaced, both of my back tires blew while on the freeway, so i had to buy all 4 new tires. these fucktards do not care about people's safety. if i knew they were this fucked up, i wouldn't have given them my business. karz plus uuuuuuuffffaaaaa!!!!! read more

These guys are crooks! They sold us an overpriced car that was patched together to make it run. The battery that was installed was the wrong size for the car. This caused multiple problems, and when the car was finally out of commission, only 4 months after purchase, they refused to do anything about their negligence. Nothing was covered under their "full extended warranty". So we are left with an $8000 loan and no car to drive. Shame on us for not having a mechanic check it over. You would think a dealer would be honorable enough that you wouldn't need to do that prior to purchase. I would steer clear of these criminals if I were you. read more

UPDATE: Between my last post and getting signed with the new finance company, I had another issue which needed to be addressed: my tires. They were in horrible shape when I drove off the lot, so I got 2 new tires. I went to Karz Plus (boyfriend and I), and asked for reimbursement. After some back and forth with the manager, he agreed to a partial reimbursement. We were okay with that...until the next day when I received a phone call from the manager who let me know he saw my review, and asked me to recant it because "We worked really hard to get you this deal and the reimbursement, and you basically just put us on blast." I told him the review is based on my experience there. The car was unsafe, I drove twice from Lakeside to Escondido for repairs, and twice the guy who was supposed to take care of me was a no-show, the manager was rude over the phone, and while I was told I was going through a new finance company, I was NOT told that through this financing company, my payments would be increased by a couple dollars. Had that been stated in the beginning, I would have been okay with it, but it was sneaky, which I didn't appreciate. What's the matter with being up front, professional, honest, and courteous? After I signed on with the finance company, I received another call from Karz Plus regarding a payment, and he managed to also ask me if I took down the review. I replied that I hadn't and that I won't because I shouldn't have to in exchange for a reimbursement that I deserved because they put me in a car with bad tires. He said okay, he just wanted to know, and repeated what the manager said about working hard to get me a good deal and my putting them on blast. If the customer service was great, I would have posted a review and added a few stars. It is what it is though. There's nothing I can do about it, I'm not taking down or recanting my reviews, and I don't want to say I don't recommend anyone shopping at Karz Plus for their vehicles, but definitely do so at your own risk, and do your homework first. read more

Very unprofessional place!! They are rude people and they could car less about what's wrong with your car or you. They just want their money and that's about it. Ryan is the man I've been dealing with and he is one rude ass person! Does not keep up with his end of the bargain so I stop keeping my word with him. The run around I've been getting after six months of having my car is still going on. My car is amazing very surprised. It's all minor things that have to be fixed but somehow every time I took my car there nothing was fixed. Example my a.c I left it there for two days! When I go to get it the a.c is still not blowing cold air. He had the balls to tell me the mechanic is still open you can go across the street and fix it. That's your employees job Ryan not mine.. A girl just wants her lisence plates so I can stop getting pulled over and they won't give them to me. When I call and he does not like what I'm saying cause I'm not "obeying" him (Ryan) he hangs up. The morning after i wrote my review Julie the manager called and was very nice and very sorry that this happened, she told us to bring the car in and they would fix it free of charge or we can switch cars so we decided to switch to a chevrolet hhr which we just left my mechanic and besides a few litttle thing which most used cars have a few things they can approve on the car checks out.. this is such a HUUUGE relife, cause we dont have the best of credit and they are one of few who work with people with bad credit, so i would like to apologize to karz plus for biting there heads off before giving them a chance to fix it.. i would also like to thank carlos who was a nice non pushy salesmen for helping us... you still need to fix the radio in the HHR but they say that should be no problem. I bought car in mid January and yesterday car broke down on the side of the road. The car needs a new alternator and battery. I called karz plus multiple times and left messages no call back. Just spoke with Ryan the manager and said it was nothing they could do it was pass the warranty and with the warranty it doesn't cover alternator. My thing is even if it doesn't you treat customers well you get repeat buisness. It's like i got your money now you're on your own. KARMA is real and I hope when you walk in and your gut says shady you listen because I didn't. I will tell everyone DON'T by a car from here. They don't appreciate there customers at all they are the exact reason small car dealers have a bad reputation just shady. If you want a piece of mind don't take the gamble its more bad reviews than good on yelp so you give them your buisness anyway on a few months you be writting a negative post as well.
