I had a really disappointing experience with this auto shop. I was interested in purchasing a cargo van for my electrical company and had been working with Araceli throughout the process. Since I live about an hour away, I made the drive to see the van in person, confirmed that I wanted it, and continued everything over the phone afterward. We got as far as running my credit and discussing numbers. The following day, I called her to finalize the paperwork, sign, and pay the deposit, only to be told that the van had already been sold that morning. It was extremely frustrating to go through the entire process -- including driving out there and allowing my credit to be run -- just for the vehicle to be sold to someone else at the last minute. Better communication and professionalism would have gone a long way in this situation. People don't take credit checks lightly, and customers' time should be respected as well. Hidden gem for sure! We wanted a very specific car, 2016 Honda Civic EX-T. We found many shopping on line. Some had a shipping fee or you had to drive 100 miles to see it. When our car was totaled on a recent extended visit to San Diego, Vista Auto Sales were the ones who helped us get into a new car and save our trip. Ari was businesslike and very personable at the same time. Although the price at first seemed a little on the high side, once we actually saw the car and realized the attention to detail and the amount of work they had put into it, the price was actually quite reasonable. A full round of maintenance was performed, even including new tires. A few last minute adjustment were performed after the test drive. They even put more gas in the tank before letting us take the car from the lot. The office and facility was extremely clean and well cared for, and the rest of their inventory seemed just as nice as the car we purchased. Daughter lives in SoCal & was recently involved in a minor car accident (minor, however, still resulting in totaling of her 2009 Civic). We were racing against the clock to purchase a new vehicle following cutting of the check + deadline to return the rental before they started charging us. We were driving the process remotely/online searches + wired the money down in advance so we could seal the deal on an immediate cash transaction. Vista has some great looking vehicles/photos on their site with listing prices mind-bogglingly low compared to competitors & KBB values (particularly w/ clean Carfax reports/single owners & low mileage). Sounded almost too good to be true (& it was)... Found at least 3 vehicles within our price range & reached out to the dealer. Response? "Oh, that vehicle just sold yesterday, but we have a few on the lot that we haven't listed pricing for yet." They even mentioned the handful of vehicles on their page with "Call For Pricing" & that they'd get back to me shortly with quotes. Each inquiry resulted in at least a day of delays & oddly, the vehicles (which were similar years/mileage & clean CarFax) were ALL $2-$3k more than the "recently sold vehicles" that brought me to their business in the first place. When I asked why there was such a significant discrepancy/variance in pricing, they said, "The 2012 LX has low mileage & the other 2 are EX vs LX"). For perspective, here are specs on the (2) vehicles I was originally interested in via CarGuru's & Vista's search results: 2013 - 89k miles @ $13,999 2014 - 76k miles @ $14,500 The vehicles they were offering me now (due to the "recent sales") had the following specs (all starting @ $14,500+): 2012 - @ 94k miles 2013 - @ 115k miles 2015 - @ 116k miles This "low mileage 2012" is 1 year older & 5k more miles than the 2013 that was advertised on their site (yet still $1k more?). The EX has nearly 40k more miles than the newer LX models, yet starting @ this price range? BUT, that's not all... One of the "call for pricing" vehicles verbally stated as being in the "$14,500 price range" is now posted as $16,989, which is a 2013 LX with 61k miles (~$3k MORE than the 2013 & 2014 LX's that are STILL posted on their website, though no longer available). Needless to say, I opted to go to a legitimate/established dealer closer to my daughter's home/work (AutoNation) & paid the $ I was looking for (cash) on a 2014 Honda Civix LX with low mileage. They even threw in an exterior detail, 2 full tanks of gas + a scheduled interior detail to clean the interior at our leisure (along with a 7-day money back guarantee). Normally I wouldn't write a bitter review such as this, but it's been ~2 weeks since I first reached out & ALL the vehicles that were "just sold" are STILL on their site (& searchable in CarGuru's), so I'm sounding the alarm for others who may also be drawn to their site with the same bait & switch tactics. At AutoNation (the SAME DAY my daughter purchased the vehicle), the ads were immediately removed from their site & the partner search engines... Shame... read more

I don't usually leave reviews but I felt the need to after my experience with this dealership. I'm going to start off that I've been in the market for a super cab Ford ranger for about 2 months now. When I first put in my info on the website to be contacting with info on some rangers I was contacted by Ari. The vehicle that I wanted was sold. Ari let me know that new ones keep coming so to keep my eye out. At this time I started sourcing my exact funds because I knew I wanted to finance the full amount through my credit union as I have a car under my name already. I got followed up with Rodrigo to see if I was still interested in one so I checked the site. I asked him if a certain stock number was for sale & the out the door price. It wasn't but told me to come in & in order to negotiate that he will need me to come in person so that the boss knows I'm serious. Totally under table but I want you to all keep in mind that I'm 2 hours away so I don't want to waste either of our times. So I requested the following day off , then I noticed that all the vehicles were under 2011 & over 100k miles which were the only requirements of my credit union. So I texted Rodrigo to update him & he told me that they can finance me. So I filled it all out & went through with taking the day off. Morning came & they weren't able to finance me without a down payment or a co signer but my credit union accepted me for 19.5k by myself?? I told them thank you for your time. By then I was disappointed & honestly confused. Good credit & always getting approved. Fast forward to this following Monday I noticed they posted a 2011 Ford Ranger super cab with 95k miles no price on the listing , CarMax stated truck was from my area ! I knew this was the one so I quickly sent them a text( first picture) no response for 2 days until I double messaged him on Wednesday. I asked them for a min. Deposit I could leave because I wanted this thing & if the price was listed ? Then got a link with the price $17,999 , no answer to my question. I ask for an out the door price because once again I do not want to drive 2 hours to waste our times. Then get a link again but the price in the text. Asked for the price being negotiable & get we can talk in person. So I say you know what I'm done with the cat & mouse let's make a move. I tell them I'll be there in a few hours once I get out at 4. As I am half way up there I get a text asking me if I'm on my way I respond with yes I am not far. Once I get there I'm super excited. I have my preapproval in my hand ready to go & see all these rangers but don't see mine. I get in & get greeted with Ari which was confused that I was there. She says the ranger I'm looking for is at the dealership getting a recall,but I can go out & look at any other ones. Me being already slightly heated , I walk outside to check them out. Then I get greeted by Rodrigo, tell him who I was & he tells me he's the one that's been texting me & that he's so sorry about the car not being there. I was so upset. He then tells me to come inside to figure something out. After him talking to Ari & I would assume calling Denise he tells me the car will be here tomorrow & I tell him I work, I tell him Saturday (my day off) would be best I can come in as soon as they open & make a deal if they save it for me. He then says I have to leave a 1k-$500 deposit even after not having the car there when he said it was. I told him I'm not leaving a deposit anymore & he gets a final price of 23k ?? I thought it was 17,999? I know where I can stood on my half & wanted to negotiate & try to get the best deal. Especially seeing these trucks sell privately for around 11-14k. I tell him I don't want the warranty which was priced at around 2K because I'm getting a warranty with my credit union as well & he starts to get upset & says we can't make money off the truck like that but he'll try & do it?? I told him you know what man I'm gonna have to respectfully decline & he tells me well you know where we're at , the truck will be in tomorrow at 2 & he will send me pictures when it comes in & update me. Fast forward to today, no text after 2 so I texted him & he sends me 2 pictures & asked if I wanna come see it. I tell him if he can get me a better price then I can be there Saturday morning... never got a response back. I understand used car dealerships but wow the sales is horrible. I also understand the flipping on vehicles but a 2011 Ford ranger with new off-road wheels/tires marked up to 23k with about 100k miles & being the smallest engine they produced with no 4x4? I just think that's pushing it. I was ready to spend the 18k right there & then if that was the actual price I was told. Such wasted hours of my life. I was so excited especially after seeing more good reviews then bad & seeing the responses of the owners. Sorry for the chapter book but the details needed to be told. Where do I start? I bought a 2013 Scion tC with 79k miles back in may. Within a few days it started dribbling oil on my garage. Brought it back and they replaced the drain plug and gasket. After a month or so I had it checked by a mechanic and he informed me the crankcase gasket/upper oil pan seal is leaking and the motor needs to come out. I took it back, then Chris personally dealt with me and through all this picked up my car at my work to get it dealt with. In the end he said that "older cars do this" and "sometimes cars develop cracks in the block/gaskets"! I figured it wasn't worth the legal trouble and just took my blow on this. After all I'm still in love with this car as it's my first. Down the road to now, the door lock actuator on the passenger side quit working, had to have the secondary alarm module removed because it was electrical taped and twisted together. Also appears the car was in an accident at one point since the passenger side fender is bent in at the bottom and is misaligned. I used my first stimulus to buy from a local dealer because all I wanted was to not feel a corporate experience buying a car, but that's all I got. read more
