This review is long overdue. Bought a 2014 Hyundai Elantra (manual transmission) from this dealership in August 2020. Love my car, it came in great overall condition and is still running like a dream. I have to admit I did have to get a couple of things fixed soon after my purchase. 1) the sunglasses holder kept opening on its own. Turns out, a plastic piece that kept it closed was worn. I was able to replace the piece on my own. Cheap, easy fix. 2) My fuel level indicator would fluctuate. Turns out the fuel level sensor needed to be replaced. Took to a shop to fix . Not too cheap of a repair, but not terrible. Considering that I got this car for an excellent price (even my loan provider stated it was a good price) the relatively minor fixes weren't too bad. The fixes I had to do are the reason for 4/5 stars. Customer service was great, the price was great, and I wasn't pressured into buying. I even found a 2007 5 Series BMW that I really wanted but that dealership had bad reviews. When I came across Auto Advantage what stood out to was how in the ad he provided all the info required to determine value and due diligence on the condition of the car. I love my BMW it also came with a 5 month/5,000 mile warranty. The car is reliable and in great condition. Con: Erik was 45 minutes late for our appointment. After the sale Erik wasn't responding to my several attempts to contact him for a small concern about the vehicle but he seemed to call (as if I hadn't been trying to call him) when he needed additional paperwork to get his finance check. On August 8th 2018. I purchased a 2008 BMW X-5 from Auto Advantage. Upon initial glance, the vehicle appeared to be a low mileage BMW-X5 with around 50,xxx on the odometer. I took the vehicle for a test drive, seemed to drive good. After speaking with Erik, he let me take the vehicle for a pre-purchase inspection at BMW of Escondido. They missed a few things. To no fault of Auto Advantage. Oil pan leak repaired passenger side fender. Erik did cover the repair for the oil pan leak which was great. However, I was presented with a " clean Carfax" upon taking it to Carmax recently for an inspection they noticed welds in the rear trunk and the repair to the driver's side fender. Their Autocheck indicated an accident in 2010 on the passenger side fender, which was not shown on the Carfax. Something happened to the vehicle involving an accident which was not fully disclosed thus hurting my resale value. Buyer beware! Also, the vehicle had a bunch of work done at his buddies shop " Gil Automotive". New control arms, etc". Obviously fixed up to pass muster. i.e bumper has broken clips, missing screws, doesn't sit right. I have documentation and pictures to prove my claim. read more

I got a F-350 from them several weeks ago. It was a rental from Alberta. My guess is it was leased to an oilsands company. The truck was somewhat rough for it's age, but was priced lower than others of the same type. When getting a car I mostly don't want to be jerked around and get a bunch of crap from someone. I just want to buy it and be on my way. In that regard they were pretty solid. no real sales pitch, and they got the paperwork done fast. The truck did come with about 20# of dirt under the door thresholds and in the frame. (Seriously I thought you were not allowed to import soil without some sort of permit). The radiator two had a lot of that fine sand in it. I don't really fault them for it, they don't pretend to sell pristine cars they clean the inside pretty well, spray black stuff on the frame and that's about it. If you are fussy consider adding the cost of a good detail to the price. They never made any representation that what I was getting was a cream puff, or really any representation at all, sort of here's the truck, here's the carfax, what you see is what you get. So spend your time looking at everything. I did not ask a lot of questions, or get into a bunch of haggling over the price, I had looked enough to know what was a good price. read more

However, soon after I bought it I noticed the car would jerk whenever I was stopped at a red light while the Ac was on.
