I didn't have a lot of time to get a car, and I also had to do most of the things on the phone being as I didn't have a car, when I had decided what car I wanted the dealer 'Joel' drove out and picked me up insisting I test drive the car first to make sure it was the one. When i got there and test drove it i didn't feel comfortable with that car and Joel had no problem showing me around to other cars and was very patient while i test drove them. He was very helpful with the paperwork, He worked with my credit and got me a way better payment than i thought possible. He even made sure i got a warranty on the car. Service here sucks! Upon purchasing my vehicle, I was promised a part to the middle console that would be fixed. It took a few months to receive this simple little piece. The salesperson who sold me the vehicle never returned my emails or calls. I would always end up having to call. It was extremely frustrating. Also, my car ended up getting a check engine light a few months later. This place sells crappy cars, and with my experience there, i would never recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle specifically from this location. i feel the only good review that was posted to this is probably a fake review. I just bought an '08 Eclipse as my first car, and although it's beautiful, there were a few issues with it, so I called Ryan (who sold it to me) and asked him about how much it would be to repair the radio since someone stole the original radio, and he said they'd do it for free! I had to travel 60 miles there and back, but it was well worth it. They covered me for $150 right away, and now I have a beautiful sound system in my car. If something is wrong with your car they'll link you to Bens auto repair which is right across the street, and they're good as well- the first day that I got my car I went to the gas station down the road and in all of my excitement and distracted mind (and stupidity) I filled my tank halfway with diesel, so they fixed me up, took the tank out, and siphoned out all of the gas for a MUCH better price than most other places I've been to, (uncle had the same issue) and Ryan's patience with me calling for multiple situations over a few days' time has proved that they're the dealership to go with. read more

So while looking for a car I went to several different dealerships and no one would approve me without a hefty down payment. I finally went to KARZ PLUS in escondido and looked around for about an hour looking at their inventory but I was greeted within 5minutes of being on the lot by JOEL ALEGRE, I told him I was just browsing and not really looking just so that I wouldn't waste his time. I ended up actually finding a car that caught my attention and decided to go back the next day. 2006 ford fusion. I asked for JOEL since he didn't pressure me into getting me into a car and actually let me look around without following me which I liked. I asked him what I would need to be able to get a car. He explained everything and said I would possibly need a consigner since there's some issues with my credit. I got the consigner and he was able to work with my down payment so that I could be able to drive the car the same day. It did come with a warranty and he explained how it worked. Since I can fix my own cars I was thinking of doing maintenance on it when the time came but he explained if any work was done to the car without an actual invoice the warranty would be void. Moving forward to about a week which was a Friday, I tried to use the A/c since a friend I had in the car was hot, I personally don't like to use the a/c since I can deal with open windows in a car. The a/c didn't work when I turned it on, so I gave JOEL a call and he recommended a shop to take it to and he would take care of the repairs. As well as a broken door handle that I hadn't seen in the initial test drive which I pointed out to him. So I went to the shop and they did a quick diagnostic check to see what could possibly be the issue. I already had an idea of what was wrong with the a/c but since joel said not to touch it and they would take care of it I didn't. So the shop realized it would be an all day repair I told them I would come back another day since I would need to figure out a way to get to work. And I could find out how long the repair would really take which turns out that it was an extensive electrical problem that even if I did it would actually take all day. So I call JOEL let him know what's happening and he said to drop the car off on a Wednesday and he could let me borrow another car while the fusion got repaired. AWESOME! I found a way to work without any worries. Near the end of the next day I hadn't heard anything from the shop or from karz plus about the car so I called them. And he said he would find out and give me a call back which he did within 5 minutes. The shop had to order a part that would have take some time to get. I told him I understand since those things did happen when I used to work at a shop.fast forward to yesterday Thursday. I give him a call around 3pm to see what the progress is. He tells me they're still working on it, but there's and ISSUE with the loan/bank. Since my cosiner already has a truck from the toyota dealer that she's paying, the bank decided to cancel the loan. So he said to Come in the next morning FRIDAY to see what he can work out with me. I was pretty upset since the bank approved it and then a week 1/2 after me having the car they cancel the loan. So this morning I went to go see JOEL about what's going to happen and he said the bank canceled the loan because of the aforementioned issue, but he would be able to get me into another car without a cosigner since I also have a ton of tickets that the bank didn't like. So we looked around the lot and showed me what he would be able to help me get into. There was a blue Buick lesabre that smelled horribly of smoke but that's what happens when a habitual smoker owns a car. They did try to get the smoke out but it's really hard to get it out. Then he showed me another car. 2001 mercury sable maroon in color and completely spotless inside and out. So I test drove it, a/c worked, all the windows, car turned on without any issues, brakes are good, tires are have a lot of life left, and not a single scratch on the car. So we started filling out paper work and he showed me straight up that the car had been in two previous accidents. But that still held a clean title. Since the report did show that it meant that the car had been taken to a body shop to be professionally repaired. This made me think about the car a bit but after the test drive there really wasn't anything wrong with the car. So after all was said and done I'm giving KARZ PLUS in escondido 4 stars only because of the issue with the bank if that wouldn't have happened it would have been 5. Besides that I would recommend you work with JOEL ALEGRE at the KARZ Plus in escondido. He was able to get me into a car with low payments, low down, and IN MY NAME without a cosigner. read more

I have challenged credit, my options were limited, but one Saturday I began looking online for cars & dealers who worked with people like me with challenged credit. I immediatly had a call back from Joel who helped with the credit application and within a couple of days I was approved for a vehicle. The process was pretty quick & I drove off in my Lexus by the next weekend. They worked with me on my down payment & working with Joel with pretty easy. I was attempting to buy a ford explorer 2004 and a week after purchase we found the transmission was bad, they offered me another car or to just pay to fix the car with only 50% off. The manager told me that these were my only two options or to just lose my money I had paid. The warranty was never clearly explained to me at the point of sale and they told me earlier I could get a refund if there was anything wrong with my car. Clearly a lie! Will never be coming back here for future car purchases and would never recommend this place to anyone after my negative experiences here!!! Horrible... got my first auto loan from my credit union bank and they pranced me around their lot like i was somebody special... ended up leaving the lot with a 3000 car and gave them 8500 for it. My tires were worn, my catalytic converter needed to be fixed, i needed oil and windshiled wipers and the front end of my car was falling off not to mention the gear lock that wouldnt budge smh they sent me to national city to fet the car fixed... all the machanic did was pop my gear lock open, didnt fix anything.... 2 stars because when you purchase they car and fuss for the first month they do work with you as far as new tires and they give you 40$ for gas when you leave the lot. But they do swindle into a horrbly conditioned car... this place isnt worth it. At least their curtious to your face! read more

OMG, stay the F**K away from Karz Plus(Escondido). I bought a 05 Ford Expedition from this place about a year ago. I originally bought a Lincoln Aviator and it literally lasted 7 days.......Literally!!!! While driving down the 78 freeway doing 70mph the car came to a grinding halt and I found myself broke down on the side of the freeway during rush hour. I called the dealer from the side of the freeway to have them come and pick it up. I heard from them a few days later after they looked it over and told me the engine had seized up(blown). The car had less then 65,000 miles. They immediately started the denial process and refused to take responsibility. I got extremely upset and told them I would contact the media, stand outside their business with signs, and raise all sorts of hell if they refused to remedy the situation. They finally took responsibility and told me they would find me another car. The manager had the nerve to tell me, "He wished it was him that sold me the car so he could have told me not to buy a Lincoln Aviator cause they known to always blow up". I was dumbfounded when I heard this and said, "Than you're Ok with this happening to someone else and if that's your opinion, why the hell are you selling them on your lot"! They gave me one of their other vehicles they had for sale on their lot as a rental until they could find something similar to the Aviator they sold me. We went through 3 rental vehicles because they kept breaking down on us, and these were the other vehicles they had for sale on their lot. After 2 months, they finally found me a 05 Ford Expedition which was a very nice truck although the miles were a little high. Given I needed a vehicle, and was sick of having to change vehicles every few weeks, I took it. After all this B.S. they wouldn't take the Aviator in as a trade towards the Expedition so my bank would see it as them paying off the Aviator to buy the Expedition so it wouldn't look like I had lots of credit out. So because they wouldn't do this, I had to go through a different bank because my bank said my credit was maxed out and I ended up having a much higher interest rate and my monthly payments were $100 more because it now looked like I owned a Lincoln Aviator and had a 2012 Honda Accord at home and now looked like I was buying a Ford Expedition. Since I was happy with the Expedition, not the experience I wasn't going to leave a negative review until it broke down this weekend. We've only put 11,000 miles on it since we bought it a year ago. I was driving it this past weekend down the 15 freeway and it suddenly stopped accelerating. The engine was running, but it wouldn't drive. I had it towed to the Ford Dealer on Vista Way and come to find out the transmission went out. This entire experience has been a nightmare. I think they may be buying rental cars and repo's from auctions which isn't always a bad thing if they went through them thoroughly and only sold the ones that passed thorough inspections. The sad thing is, CarMax is directly next door but I thought their prices would be higher given they are a large franchise but after I went and looked this weekend, their prices are great and they stand behind what they sell. Save your sanity, your marriage and your credit by going else where especially when CarMax is directly next door. Ohhh Ohhh Ohhh, I also forgot to add, after I bought the Aviator, I came to find out they hadn't paid any of the DMV fees so in order for me to register it, I would have had to pay them. I had to call Karz Plus again and threaten them with legal issues if they refused to take care of the DMV problem! I continued to get letters from the DMV for months and even had my license threatened to be suspended. It's not just this place, it's all small used cars dealers but this place especially. read more

I have recently bought my 3rd car from Karz Plus. My first car I drove for 2 years and then traded in. My second car I paid it off and gave it to my sister so I bought my third car and it is wonderful. I absolutely love my new car and got a great deal on it. The thing I love about Karz Plus is I know that they will get me in the car I want and financed in 1 visit. Each time they have either filled my tank or given me cash to fill it and even gave me cash to buy new floor mats because mine the car I bought no longer had the originals. Each car I bought has had at least 2 keys and the original owners manual. Any time I have had a problem, my trusty salesman Ryan Summers has always been there to help. As much negative is said about them, read the reviews. These are things people should have considered before picking the vehicle. How can you tell Karz Plus to pay you for your worn down tires? You agreed to the car as is. I have had wonderful service from them and if I need another car I will go back to them. We bought a car there last September. We drove off the lot, had insurance and was very happy. A few weeks later they call us and said financing had fell through, they had to drop the warranty from the car and refinance. We had no vehicle if we let it go back so we had no choice but to say ok to that. Well that restarted the contract and we were told that our first payment would not be due until a month AFTER the signing of the new contract. We get a call a couple weeks later from Wells Fargo and they are wondering where their payment was. I had not even received the first bill in the mail yet. We tried to talk to them, and we were able to make the payment when we were told we could after the signing of the second contract. BUT they did nothing of the month that was behind-because of THEIR mistake.....WELL then Karz Plus took from September 2012 until February 2013 to get us our tags and registration. In the interim they put a paper tag on our car OVER the expired tags....well I thought it was fine and then on base in Point Loma I got stopped-and got a ticket from the tags. They had told us around October or November the registration and tags were lost.....they had already gotten them though. WELL if they had gotten them the car would never of come back unregistered still. They lie, lie, lie, lie, lie.....even gave us a $40 coupon for gas but was refusing to honor it. It wasn't until we made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau did they fix any of this. And the bank did not fix the mistake of the month that was behind. We got threatened in February with repossession over this. We had to give Wells Fargo our ENTIRE paycheck to catch up....there were 3 children who did not eat healthy for 2 weeks until the next payday when I could get them the food they needed. DO NOT buy a car from them. YOu will be disappointed and they WILL take away your warranty. They gave us 4 unmatched tires and the front end is STILL our of alignment. The tires have uneven tread....we are trying to just eek by nowadays and now I can't afford to properly get tires and an alignment on my car. And they told us once ALL the downpayment was paid they would do the front end alignment. But we just left that alone because it would never of helped since all 4 tires are completely uneven. I recently bought a car here along with the year warranty and these guys have been nothing but rude and ass *(&^s and I was told to my face that they are done with me. Ya AFTER I paid 10 grand cash for the car. The tires needed replacing so they sent me to their shop people and had them replace the shot out tires with used tires, are you kidding me, used tires. The guy that wrote me up was fired the next day for who knows what and when I inquired as to my warranty and his salesman the answer I got was our salespeople don't represent the company they are private contracted salespeople, HUH what the hells that when a salesperson dosent represent the company if he screws up on a sales write up. So now they wont honor my guarantee. I have already had to replace the alternator and now it over heats. The back window of the ragtop is falling out suddenly like it was rigged good enough to sell but not last long. And to top it off I bought the car in Feb, and still have not got my title or plates because the sent them to an address I haven't lived at for 5 years. When I inquired the said I need to hunt them down myself. They are not even honoring the writing in black and white I had them write in when I bought the car. No key fob no lug key for the locking lugs no service no manners. personally Id like to drive this car right up where the sun don't shine till they choke and now I think a lawyer is in order for these fools.
