    Corn cheese (eaten already lol)
    Thu P.

Came here for the second time with my partner. We ordered the corn cheese, seafood pancake, spicy squid, and beef rib kalguksoo. The corn cheese was perfection -- not much else to say about it. My favourite dish at Kang's has to be the beef rib kalguksoo. My second time having it now and it still hits so hard. The broth is so flavourful, the noodles so bouncey, and the meat so tender. My only complaint is that I hate eating off the bone.. The rib is too big!! lol Spicy squid was a little too spicy for me and kind of ruining my dinner, but that's on me for having a low spice tolerance. It's a little salty, so definitely order this with some rice. Also, there're a lot of vegetables I didn't notice because I never mixed it. Mix it! The seafood pancake and sauce were okay. It was a little too doughy for me. The sauce wasn't citrusy enough. Overall still good but I wouldn't get it here again. Service was good, although slightly confused. They didn't seem to understand their own menu. Ambiance is casual, like any other late-night Korean spot.

Influenced by SMS to go try the kalguksu! We got a couple bowls each of the clam kalguksu and beef rib kalguksu, and made them combos to share side dishes. I loved the clam kalguksu, the clams were cleaned well and the soup was comforting. Beef rib kalguksu had massive ribs to gnaw on which was fun. The meat was very tender. I felt that for both kinds, the noodles seemed a bit overcooked, but that might just be my preference. For our combo side dishes, tried the napa jeon (this was a bit doughy and oily, not what I was expecting), beef suyuk, and bossam. We also got an omelette that was dressed with ketchup and mayonnaise (I think). Out of everything we tried, I would definitely get the clam kalguksu again! We had this for dinner, but lunch deal seems great.

Great authentic korean fare. Service was sometimes slow/understaffed. They do have the service buttons, but the staff seem to ignore it at times. We got the pork belly share hot plate. It came with rice (or if you wanted fried rice - 1/2 portion though). Food was pretty authentic, but maybe a bit oversauced. Banchan was OK - middle of the road, but they did allow free refills

SO DELICIOUS! Love the Clam Kalguksoo and the Beef Rib Kalguksoo!! SO happy they opened back up after renovating and now they have space to do kbbq! Its nice and spacious inside, and the service was pretty quick! We always stop here for a meal whenever we're in the area!

Tasty hot noodle soup, and probably my one of the most ordered entrees. The seating is good and you'll likely wait for your table.

The last time I had kalguksu (handmade knife-cut noodles) was in Korea years ago so I was super excited to see this spot serving exactly that! We walked in on a weekend evening and it was consistently busy. We waited for about 5-10 minutes and got seated quickly! There were tables and booths, we were seated at a table and it felt cozy and comfortable. We received efficient and friendly service as they were quick to respond to requests but the staff was quite busy. We ordered the clam kalguksu ($17), seafood tofu soup ($15), gamjatang ($20) and beef bulgogi ($17) to share. The star was definitely the clam kalguksu. Freshly made and super chewy noodles in an umami clam broth. So good. Chef's kiss!! The rest of the food was also hearty and comforting. There's nothing like a good bowl of soup. They are currently closed for renovations but I can't wait until they open again so I can return!!

I have dined at Nadri Korean restaurant. This new restaurant is running by Nadri, so I definitely wanted to give it a try. It is a very typical Korea restaurant running by Korean. Space is quite big inside. Dining tables and seating areas are considered comfortable. Their famous dish was clam Kalguksoo. Their broth had a super "clam" flavour. Noodles were thick and chewy that I personally liked them. We also ordered the beef rib kalguksoo. The beef broth tasted great but it was a bit greasy that I could see a layer of oil on the surface of the broth. I visited this restaurant twice. I ordered their seafood tofu soup. It had a lot of frozen or dry octopus, some claim, a few small frozen shrimps, a lot of tofu, and an egg with soup. The quality was not as well as I expected. I had great seafood tofu soup somewhere else in Burnaby. The customer service was average. Each table had a bell. If customers needed something, they could ring the bell. A server would come and serve the table. The server was quite efficient. The pricing was reasonable and affordable. Would I recommend this restaurant to others? Yes. I think so. The restaurant is inside a complex, so don't need to worry about parking but the parking lot is quite full during the dinner time.

A great place to enjoy some Korean comfort food. The kalgusoo was such a heart warning dish. It comes out piping hot and very generous in portion. The noodles has a very nice texture with just enough chew and smoothness and there were a good amount of clams in it. The broth in the noodles was my favorite part. A good amount of clam flavour and without any msg. We also ordered the braised pork belly and kimchi hot pot. The hot pot was on the spicier side and very bold in flavour with plenty of pork belly. The dish was kept hot throughout as it sits under a propane stove. A great option amongst all the Korean restaurants along North Road. The place can get busy with a queue especially on weekends so go early or plan ahead.

We finally made our way here for lunch over the weekend. I have been looking for a restaurant that served kalguksoo as another restaurant that I liked had closed elsewhere. We were seated right away when we showed up. We ordered both the clam and beef rib kalguksoo versions and an egg roll. Service was average. They forgot the can of coke we ordered. We had to ask two servers to get our beverage order. The actual food order arrived in reasonable time. The clam kalguksoo was tasty with the chewy noodles and a decent amount of clams. The broth had subtle clam flavour which was quite enjoyable. The beef rib version had the same chewy noodles, but the broth had a meatier flavour. There was a sauce served on the side and made the beef ribs a lot tastier. Finally, the egg roll was a Korean-style omelette with cheese filling inside. My kid really enjoyed eating the omelette. Overall, it was a good dining experience. The restaurant is located on a busy plaza. The parking situation can be a bit frustrating finding a parking spot during peak hours.

Great service, delicious pancake, corn cheese and kalguksu soup. I would definitely return :)

I'm so glad that theres another Kalguksoo restaurant opened in Coquitlam! I crave for kalguksoo all the time, so I was eager to try this new place out! To my surprise they actually don't have too many kalguksoo choices. There were only 2 choices which is the clam one and the beef brisket. The kalguksoo here is one of the best I've ever had in Vancouver. The noodles are incredible and they have the perfect chewy texture. The clam kalguksoo broth is very light and flavorful. If you would love something thats a bit strong, the beef brisket might be your choice. The beef brisket is so tender and theres quite a lot of meat. The meat broth is definitely more flavorful than the clam one, however they are both great in their own way. Although kalguksoo has very simple ingredients, sometimes simple is what makes it so delicious. I would definitely come back and try other things on their menu!

This place, tucked away just 5 minutes' driving distance from Coquitlam Centre, is clearly beloved by the local Korean community. The portion sizes are generous. They are perfect for sharing with family or friends. We saw many families and younger groups dining in, which gave it a cozy, homey vibe. We can taste the love and comfort in every bite. Here's what we ordered: * Beef Tartare Bibimbap - Not your typical bibimbap! The raw beef was beautifully seasoned and full of flavour. This was hands down our favourite dish! * Naengmyeon - Cold noodles in a super refreshing broth. Perfectly chewy with a balanced, savoury tang. A must-have on a hot day. * Japchae - Excellent portion, great price. The noodles were springy and not greasy at all--just the right balance of flavour. Great value, quality ingredients, and authentic flavours--Hansol is definitely going on our go-to list whenever we're craving comforting Korean food. We ordered short rib BBQ, Beef tartare Bibimbap, and original-flavor deep-fried chicken wings. Beef tartare Bibimbap was served in a hot stone bowl with a variety of vegetables on top of the rice. The gochujang sauce was served separately, allowing us to adjust the spiciness to our preference. It was a pretty good dish. The short rib BBQ was very tender and nicely seasoned. It was slightly on the sweeter side, very delicious. I will definitely order it again. The original flavor deep-fried chicken wings were served fresh and hot. They were incredibly crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside--very good! Next time, I should order them with a flavored seasoning, as I already knew the original version was cooked with less saltiness, meant to be paired with a sauce. Overall, I really like this restaurant. The food tasted good, and the most notable point was the reasonable price! It was a very good deal, and it has now become one of my regular go-to places.

Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point to try some other dishes. Recommended.

We ordered 2 of the combo A which was the perfect servings for 2 adults and 3 (very hungry!) teenaged boys. Not only did it come with 3 meat types (thinly sliced pork belly, marinated beef Bulgogi, and one other thinly sliced beef), it also came with soup, banchan, and a big bowl of Bibimbap. We also ordered their seafood pancake which was perfectly crispy and not too thin or thick. The actual bbq grill itself was the best one I've seen at a Korean restaurant because it was non-stick, temperature controlled really well, and it didn't leave us smelling like the food after dining. The ventilation must've been good here as it wasn't super smoky at all. The best dish was definitely the bean paste soup! We all loved it and had never tried it before, so next time we have Korean, it will be a staple in our order! It wasn't too busy last night so we were seated right away. Staff were friendly and while they were short-staffed, they were quick enough to get what we requested and ordered in a timely manner.
