    Lunch special
    Lisa S.

Tried this place again after 3 years and there has been improvement. I made the mistake of ordering the ox soup again and it wasn't flavoured again. Probably should have read my last review. The lunch special for $20 is a decent deal. Comes with soup and a meat dish and all the side dishes. The beef bulgogi was decent and I enjoyed the Tteokbokki was really good and I enjoyed the japchae. For $20 I would go again.

Big portions and great value! Ordered the bulgolgi hotpot and it was delish! The soup at the end was a little bit salty but overall we were happy with the portions of everything and how cozy it was on a cold day. The short ribs combo had a decent amount of pieces but we wish the potatoes had more flavour to them. Good thing we ordered corn cheese so we topped it with that!

Seolleongtang, 15 hour Sous Vide BBQ Pork Belly.

Food is extremely good! We went for a late night meal so we were the only patrons dining in. Most of the other patrons were delivery and takeout orders. Service was overall good and restaurant is really clean. Loved the pork belly bbq! Extremely juicy and flavorful on a bed of cabbage and cheese corn. One of the best Korean meals I've had in a while.

This is the place to for a delicious Korean feast! Shilla has giant portions and recently updated their menu. Check out their platters which is great for sharing! Chicken Platter $57 which comes with 4 kinds of Chicken ( Original, Honey Garlic, Sweet & Spicy, Cheesling) along with fries, cabbage salad and corn. The chicken was crispy and flavourful. Big BBQ Combo Platter $59.98 comes with sous vide pork belly, LA Kalbi, Grilled Chicken along with fries, cabbage salad and Bao buns! Meat could've been more tender but I quite like the chicken! $20 lunch combo comes with so much!!Choose your soup & meat and comes with 8 more side dishes as seen in the reel. Worth it in my opinion! Other items we tried: -Cold Spicy noodle $16.98 (super refreshing) -Spicy pork bone hot pot $42.98 -House and Prawn Kimbap $11/$14 ( large portions) -Tteokbokki $16.98 ( I really liked the sauce) If you're craving Korean food to share, this is a solid place to come for gatherings, hangouts or a date.

Shilla is a Korean restaurant located on Kingsway! I had a tasting and I tried many plates that were offered to us. My favourite were the new released kimbap which was loaded with ingredients! Their fried chicken platter was massive and offers a lot of variety of different wings. The vibe setting of the restaurant is a bit old school and worn but I feel that's the charm of it. Would come back for their kimbap for sure!

Stopped by for dinner. Got a table right away but service was really lack luster. The tofu soup was hot and flavorful and was a highlight of the night. The pork belly and baby octopus was disappointing - there were only 3 pieces of octopus... the flavor was good though. But not very worth it.

I came here for my friend's birthday on a Friday night. It was quite packed and I can see why. Their food portions are quite big. A lot of people ordered their chicken platter to share and we did the same. The fried chicken pieces are huge and quite juicy on the inside. It is well worth $57. I would also recommend ordering their galbi. It's super tender and very nicely marinated. It's a great place to have gathering since their portions are big and priced reasonably. I would definitely come again.

Pretty decent Korean place on Kingsway between Fraser and Knight. Parking is available on Kingsway, as well as the side streets. The place is pretty modern and spacious. Dark theme. Staff are friendly and helpful No complaints. Banchan - kimchi, cabbage, pickled turnip, bean sprouts. Beef bulgogi - pretty tasty. Served with cabbage and green onions. Jukkumi samgyupsal bokkeum (spicy stir fried baby octopus and pork belly) - sweet and spicy without too much kick. The above 2 dishes came with bowls of white rice, which helped dilute some of the sauce. Korean fried chicken - tried 2 flavours. Decent, but definitely want to share the portions. Can't really eat a bunch of pieces with the exact same flavour. Overall wouldn't mind coming back. Friends and I left happy. Recommended.

The restaurant was open until midnight which was perfect since we arrived in Vancouver around 1030 pm. The tea was fantastic (Hojicha instead of the usual jasmine tea)! The sides were great, especially the fish cake. We ordered their best seller BBQ pork belly which came with cheese corn, kimchi, and lettuce. The pork belly were so tender and great quality. We also ordered seollotang which was perfect for the chilly fall weather. Highly recommend these two dishes and we look forward to our next visit so we can try the other dishes!

Came here for our Sunday family meal. Tons of street parking right off Kingsway. Love the ambience. My wife and I opted for the $20 lunch special. I had the Korean OX Bone Soup and Sous Vide Bossam -- OX Bone Soup is very clear, will need to season yourself depending on how you like it. For me, I appreciate that it's a very clear broth. The bossam is very tender and well seasoned. The wife opted for the Seafood Tofu Soup and Beef Bulgogi, which she enjoyed. The Seafood Tofu Soup was quite generous portion, lots of seafood and very tasty broth and tofu. Can't complain about the beef bulgogi. You can't mess that up. The banchan selection is varied and delicious, with something enjoyable in every bite. The chicken cutlet is not your usual one piece cutlet and cut up--it's boneless fried chicken deep fried in panko. Served with rice, and Kimchee, sweet corn, salad, side of sauce. My son loved this and he was full, and the kid can eat. My daughter loves her noods so she got the Seafood Noodle Soup--broth was tasty and flavourful, and lots of seafood. Served with a side of Danmuji (pickled radish). This was very enjoyable for us. We would definitely come back. Amazing food, great value, friendly service.

    Cold noodles. Steamed egg appetizer.

The only place I can get a really good cold noodle dish in Vancouver. A super refreshing dish during the hot summer days. The steamed egg appetizer was a nice add on. I've had the seafood pancake in the past and it is delicious! The music was a bit loud in the restaurant and may take away from trying to have a conversation. The space is good for larger groups.

We ordered a set with gimbap, tteokbokki, and noodles. The gimbap was generously stuffed with colorful vegetables and rice, wrapped tightly in seaweed and sliced nicely, fresh, clean flavors, and perfect for sharing. The tteokbokki had that classic sweet-and-spicy sauce, with chewy rice cakes that really hit the spot (comfort food at its best). The noodles were light but surprisingly satisfying, served warm and simply topped, a great balance alongside the richer, spicy dish. Everything came out neatly on a tray, which made it feel casual and fun, like a cozy quick meal you'd come back to often. Overall, Nomnom Seoul is a great spot for an easy, comforting bite with friends. Simple Korean favorites done well, with good portions and a relaxed vibe. I'd happily return again

Kimbab was quite voluminous and I could only eat half of it. The cold noodles were no soup and had a lot of vegetables in the them. There are many other things I want to try, so I definitely want to come back here.

However, I've never really tried Soondae before and I was feeling nauseous on the day of my visit--so I opted for something more mild and less "adventurous" instead. I will definitely be back to try their Soondae next time though. Daeji Gukbap 10/10 This boiled bowl of stew was exactly what my upset tummy needed. I always order the same thing, a mixed pork offal and soondae soup. You can choose the spiciness level when you order but they also offer red pepper flakes and fish sauce on the side to add to taste. It comes in small and large, with a side of pickled radish, roasted seaweed, and white rice. Even with the small, you get a lot of meat in the hot stone bowl and it is so comforting. The offal is super tender but the star here is definitely the soondae. Pork blood and vermicelli with spices are encased in an intestine casing, making for a unique springy texture. It's even more tasty when you dip into their homemade fish sauce and the stew warms you to the bone. I love supporting small mom and pop shops, and with how tucked away this place is on the busy Robson strip, I'll definitely make an effort to frequent them time and time again.
