I find this Korean BBQ restaurant to have the most consistency! Service is friendly and efficient! Best value and quality is their BBQ Beef set! It consists of various cuts of beef and they are all marinated to perfection! Try their seafood pancakes! Love the texture and the ingredients! Banchan is refillable, but don't ask for more than you can consume! Parking available but not too many spots, call to reserve a table to prevent disappointment!

They are pricier compared to their competitor and also their quality is lower and portion size are smaller too. In terms of taste I do not think they are worth the price we paid. We ordered the Stir-fried Galbi & Vegetables for $30.95. It is not worth $30.95. Please see my photo. There are not a lot of meat. Portion size is small and has mostly vegetables. Worse off is that they used lower end vegetables like cabbage, bok choy, carrots, mushrooms and very some green pepper and broccoli. They said the dish is made with prime beef ribs. There are a around 6 tiny pieces of thinly sliced beef smaller than 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches. It is definitely not worth $31 or even close to $31. On top the flavor was not that special. I also tried a little bit of their WooGuhji Tang. They used a lot of mustard seeds and again flavor isn't that wow. They used the very cheap preservative vegetables that you can get premade. I am not a fan of the premade ones. The soup is full of bones and again hardly any meat. Portion size is small and yes this one is charged as a premium but not as ridiculous as the stir-fried galbi and vegetables. We live nearby but as more and more Korean are immerging in the area. We do not recommend trying this place but suggest trying the other Korean restaurants on Edmond or on Kingsway. I feel like this restaurant is very out of touch in terms of the competitors in the market. They have been running the restaurant for over 30 years and I think 30 years ago, the food would would be passable due to less Korean restaurant competitions. But now I think if they don't change, they would not be doing well.

I found this restaurant on Yelp with very favorable reviews. It helped that the location was minutes away from where I am. The facility is modern, clean, and organized even though it resembles a hole in the wall. I ordered Ja jang mein (brown noodles), garlic chicken (ghampengi), and fried potstickers. Once I received my 'takeaway' order, I noticed it should have come with a serving of rice, but after tasting the food, I didn't care about this minor inconvenience. The food is very good and I know know why there are local awards on their wall, honoring their selection as 'best of'. I would definitely return again before I depart from Vancouver, BC, Canada.

A few of us came here for the first time based on the positive ratings. The Korean foodies that were with me felt the food was above average at a great value. We ordered the following with ratings out of 5 stars (1 star being the worse to 5 stars being the best) - Gom Tang (slow simmered beef and bone marrow broth with noodles and brisket) - 3.5 stars - just enough flavour at $$13.95 - Hot Stone Pot Galbi Bibimbap with 3 side dishes (assorted veggies with prime beef ribs in a stone pot) - 4 stars - slightly cooked the beef too long as it was a bit tough to chew. The best part was the crispy crunchy rice that is stuck to the bottom of the stone pot. Tasty at $19.95 - Black Bean Noodle (diced pork & veggies in black bean sauce) - 3 stars - small pieces of pork. Not wowing at $11.95. - Original KFC (aka Korean Fried Chicken) Deep fried chicken in Korean style sweet chili sauce) - 5 stars - big pieces of chicken that was tasty and cooked to perfection. Sauce wasn't too hot. Good value at $28.95. For the regular dishes and certain dishes, you received small side dishes that would accompany your Bibimbap or Gom Tang. No one was in the mood to try Korean BBQ mainly due to the price. Not all of the dishes arrived at once which was too bad. You can make reservations. There's limited parking in front of the restaurant but plenty of street parking on Imperial. They're open 11 am to 11 pm. The place seemed to be the locals favourite. Overall rating of 3.5 stars.

My bf and I got the Korean bbq combo for two at 78.95. One of the servers came to cut the meats up in front of us but it was kinda gross cause all the marinade juices were flying everywhere especially in front of us. She even started to grill out meats idk why she had to do that as we could've done it ourselves. Sides were okay nothing really stood out just seemed like filler. What ruined my experience was when we were taking a little break from eating cause we were getting a bit full, one of the severs came up and asked us if we wanted the bill. I told her we're still eating. Seemed like they wanted us to leave which I thought was pretty rude. I wanted to bring my stepdad to Korean bbq but I'll be sure to avoid this place there's better Korean bbq this is just close to us in the moment and not worth coming back.

We cleaned all the food because it was fantastic lol

It's been years since I've visited. Came in for lunch as I was in the area. Easy parking. Got seated right away. Server was super nice. Food however was lackluster. Soup was tasteless and the shredded beef was super tough. For the area and this dish generally comes with an egg too, nope skimp that out too. Thank goodness there was soy sauce and salt and pepper on the table. Banchan was also flavorless, super plainly dressed red cabbage kimchi, perfectly blanched soybean sprouts but no sesame oil, raw broccoli with gochujung was a first at korean restaurant, potatoes lacked sugar, soy sauce and oil and sesame oil... I should stop now. The teapot was a great idea for tea but I came in at lunch and it was bland enough to be called hot water. This place is for you if you are health conscious if you are watching your sodium, sugar and fat intake.

Price: ~$25/ person The price is not too high compared to Korean restaurants in the same area Service: 8/10 quick service Food: 8/10 delicious and quality food. Similar to standard Korean taste. Space: 10/10 Cozy space. The decoration like Korean style Orders: Soy Chili Chicken: $28 Sour, spicy, salty, sweet - All present in a fried chicken marinated in a wide variety of spices. Fried chicken with spicy soy sauce hot, fragrant with tender, flavorful chicken is covered with a crunchy crust with brown spicy shade. The chicken is tasty in colour, mixed with a spicy sauce that is strangely attractive. Should eat with hot rice!! ( Must try ) Beef Tripe Hotpot: $45.95 As for Gopchang - Spicy seasoned beef intestine stew with tripe will be cooked into a hot pot. All the smells have been removed from the dish, not only that, when herbs are absorbed in gopchang and blended with sesame oil, salt, chili sauce, ... creating an attractive traditional flavor. Of course, in this hot pot in addition to the beef intestine, there are also many other ingredients such as mushrooms, onions, cabbage, beef, noodle, tofu, tobokki... are boiled in an attractive hot red hot pot sauce. The minus point is that the beef intestine is not very fresh. The hot pot broth is very tasty, not too spicy, of course, it will taste the beef intestine, those who do not use to eat it should consider. This hot pot comes with 2 bowls of hot rice and bunch of banchans. ( Must try ) Although the restaurant says that the meal is for 2 people but the meal is quite large with banchan, so this can be served for 3 people too!

We came back as promised to try the full portion of the BBQ meat dishes. The galbi beef rib was pretty good. If you're used to the simple beef bulgogi, then the galbi usually will be a nice step up. The meat is thicker yet not chewy which makes the bite satisfying. Service is not bad as they usually help cook the galbi for you including cutting the meat up. The banchan dishes are fine. Nothing fancy or overly exciting, just good old family level kimchi and other dishes. I still can't give this place a 5 star based on the BBQ because, I'm sorry, I am comparing with my two best experiences: One is in Seoul where ANY barbecue restaurant is good; and two, in Korea Town in LA, although, mind you, it was more expensive, but the meat is just really, really good. And Seoul is just really, really good, and really, really affordable.

Went for my first dine in dinner @hanwoori.ca with @sadistangel because it's been months since we've had Korean BBQ! I called in advance to book a table, and I'm quite satisfied with their social distancing and safety measures, ensuring patrons and staff are protected. We were seated quite far from any other table, and they handed us stuff with trays so there wouldn't be staff/diner contact. Service was quick and attentive, they had their call button covered with saran wrap, which is changed after each customer. We got their Combination A for 2 people ($66.95). The meat was seasoned well, although I felt the chicken was a little mushy (kinda like if you leave your steak to dry age too long you lose texture). Side dishes were basic, but so satisfying. Still feeling a bit wary about dining in, but this experience gave me a little more confidence in how restaurants are going to minimize spread and have heightened safety protocols. Hopefully this trends towards normalcy while keeping our curve flat/downwards!

Came here to one of the classic OG spots in Burnaby. They have good set menus which has good portions and good quality. They get busy here quickly so come early or expect a wait! * Combination B ($142.95) ~ this set is for 4 people, and has quite a variety. This set comes with a variety of meats such as: Prime beef ribs, sliced beef, chicken, & spicy pork marinated in house special bbq sauce. The meats were delicious, and the prime beef ribs were my favorite. Ultra-tender and well marinated. It was juicy and good on the grill. * The set also comes with deep fried pork and vegetable dumplings ~ The filling was ok but it lacked seasoning and flavor. The batter itself was not as crispy and a bit too dough-like, which I prefer more crispy and crunchy texture. * Stir fried vermicelli noodles w. pork and assorted vegetables were also included in this set and it was good portion and well seasoned. The set also came with 4X Rice, soup, salad ,and banchans. * Original Korean Fried Chicken ($26.95) ~ this portion was huge! It was sweet and spicy, not too spicy only a tad bit of heat. Super crispy and crunchy. It was more batter than chicken but overall the seasoning and sauce was very good. * 8/10 ~ This place is an OG place good for combo sets. The meat was good but the fried dumplings is something that can be improved on. * 7/10 ~ we had to pack majority of the chicken to go as it was a lot of food. The portions are generous and for kbbq this is pretty good. The chicken was a bit pricy but overall for the entire meal and experience It was average pricing in my opinion. Total bill before tip: $178.40 (4 people) * Swipe for menu

Was looking for Korean cuisine in the Metrotown area and specifically a private room for small gathering of 6 people. The minute I walked in it was super stuffy and smoky which I guess is the norm for Korean bbq restaurants but it felt really stifling like minimal to zero ventilation in here. The whole place really smelled like burnt charred bbq. We ordered the 4 person dinner which had a good selection of the marinated méats bulgogi, galbi, big beef ribs, chicken and pork. Good side dishes which were refillable except for the cabbage salad. Also tried the simmered beef bone noodle and seafood pancake. They had no cold noodle available even tho on menu as seasonal. Don't know what other season cold noodle would be available if not the summer. Apart from the dinner set everything was pretty downhill. The seafood pancake came out blackened and burnt. There was no accompanying sauce and we had to ask but the sauce was nowhere near the typical Korean soy sauce with chili and green onion that comes with the seafood pancake. It was the same soy sauce for the beef or dumpling with some sesame seeds and tiny bits of green onion. Seafood pancake was full of dough and pretty dull flavour. The beef bone broth was subpar as well. Some gray broth with small bits of tendon and the same noodle type used for jap chae. I was expecting the chewy type noodle with this dish and the menu had no description. Service was really slow and even though we pushed the button several times nobody came. It was on average three calls on the button before someone would come over. The whole meal was a miss for us. I was surprised with the outcome of the seafood pancake and beef bone broth. They couldn't hit the standards required for these typical items in a Korean restaurant. Overall below average Korean restaurant in the Metrotown area.

I LOVE korean food; yes all caps but unfortunately, my brother doesn't go near the cuisine one bit. The only compromise he'll make once a year is to eat it on my birthday, korean bbq that is. Drove by this place on my way to MYST last time and had this on my list as one of the korean places to check out. Compared to other korean bbq places I've been to, this place seems smaller but they do have private rooms for larger groups. The only word of advice for any restaurant is that if you don't want to wait, always call ahead to make a reservation. We got seated immediately because of our reservation for a busy Sunday evening but I overheard the wait time was over an hour for this one customer who needed one of the private rooms for their party of 11. There were 5 of us so we ordered the Combo B BBQ menu which included a variety of meats, fried mandus, japchae and everyone got a bowl of rice, a side salad, and a side of soup. We thought it wasn't enough food so we also ordered the bone marrow soup (which also comes with a bowl of rice) as well as the samgyetang and let's just say we over ordered. There was plenty of food and while we thought we made a decent in the soups, we filled the take-out container to the rim with the soup! Set menus can sometimes be a hit or a miss but the meat was super juicy and tender! While the place has a bell at your table you can press to catch the attention of a waiter, your table number will show up at the screen at the front counter and disappear immediately so it was a hit or miss with us when we pressed the bell. Sometimes it was just easier to wave one down as they were passing by us. Overall a satisfied dinner experience but the bbq meat prices can add up if you're ordering the meats separately!

We saw that there was a $9.99 combo deal and everyone at our table was shocked. We all ordered that. The combo comes with your choice of a noodle dish (Jajangmyeon or Black Bean noodles, Korean udon, or Spicy Cold noodles) and a Beef Bulgogi on the side. I ordered the Jajangmyeon with the Beef Bulgogi and it was great! I enjoyed the nice chew from the noodles and the Black Bean sauce was flavoured well. I was pleased to find chunks of pork in the noodles also. The Beef Bulgogi was a little watery, but tasted sweet and tender. All that food for $9.99. That's unheard of in this economy and in these times! Amazing. We'll definitely return as we saw other great deals on the menu also!
