Came with a few friends for lunch and we had a great meal for a great price at this Korean Chinese restaurant! We ordered one of the combos with black bean noodle, spicy seafood noodle soup and their sweet and sour pork. Worrying this wouldn't be enough we also added on their seafood egg fried rice which came with some black bean sauce as well. All of the dishes we got were large portions and we couldn't finish! The flavours were all there and they used a LOT of onions (which I liked, but others might not). We asked for mild in the spicy noodle soup but it definitely had a kick to it! The sweet and sour pork had a very light and crispy batter and when dipped in just a little sauce, a great tang with a delicate bite. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here and were surprised at the very reasonable prices for large portions of tasty korean-chinese food!

Black bean noodles

Cheap prices. $12 black bean noodle and $16 chili noodle. The black bean noodle is delicious and the noodle is chewy. The chili noodle soup is light and spicy. It reminds of shin ramyun and seafood. The portion is pretty big, so it's probably enough for two people as well. The side dishes are good too.

I had a family lunch here on Saturday. My parents wanted some black bean noodles without having to go to Coquitlam so we went to 88. We ordered Combo C and ordered double portion of Jajangmyun. There was about 20minutes of waiting until food arrived. Jajangmyun (black bean noodle) was good. Spicy chicken was good just that some meats had thick batters. Meat portion was okay. Jjambbong had some beef and seafood toppings. I liked the spice level, but my mom wanted it to be little bit spicy. Portion seemed little small for 4 of us. Noodles were store-bought not handmade I think. Overall experience was okay. Could've got the bigger portion if I dined at Heeraedeung or Chui Hong in Surrey.

Combo C: (top to bottom 깐풍기 + 짬뽕 + 짜장면 ) and yellow radish and chicken radish as free sides

I ordered the C combo (jjajangmyeon + 88 jjambbong + kkampeungi/sweet chili chicken), and took it to-go. Even after it was sitting out waiting for pickup and our 17-minute drive back to our Airbnb, the chicken was crispy and delightful. The jjambbong broth had such a deliciously smoky seafood flavor--it might be one of the best jjambbong broths I've ever had. The jjajangmyeon wasn't very mind-blowing, but it was still enjoyable and was a good addition for the combo price. I paid about $66 CAD including tip, but I'm from the States so the total was about $47 USD. For the amount of food and the taste, it was very worth it. My boyfriend and I have enough leftover for another meal tomorrow (although we would've kept eating to enjoy it fresh if we didn't get so full). Next time, I'd probably try the combo with the seafood fried rice + 88 jjambbong + chicken. I'm curious about the tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) as well, but the chicken is too good to pass up. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place and the 88 noodle + sweet chili chicken (짬뽕 + 깐풍기)

The food and service here were fine but nothing about the experience inclined me to come back. Value was not especially good. Parking was free nearby in the neighbour hood. Bottom line: I think you can do better at this price point, but YMMV.

Jjampong is amazing!! 9/10! Jjangmyeon was underwhelming I think (maybe I had too high of an expectation) 7.5/10 Korean chicken 7.5/10 it had too much batter I think

Food was just OK, however their service was great! My friend and I tried this place out for the first time as it was on her to try list. It's the only Korean/Chinese jajoongmyun noodle restaurant in Metrotown area which is smart of them to open up in this location. Fast service and polite!

Food was a bit bland for all the items we ordered in Course A. However portions of Pork and noodles we're amazing for the price $47. Shared between 4 people. 7/10 overall

Jjamppong loaded with seafood. Sooo good, especially on a cold day.

I love Korean-Chinese food so it's nice to find a spot closer than Burquitlam and Coquitlam. We got the Combo C ($43) which comes with sweet chili chicken, black bean noodles and spicy seafood noodle soup, which was my favourite. You can choose your spice level, which is a perk. The chicken is pretty fatty, but I liked it nonetheless. This was way too much for just the two of us, so it's definitely better to come with some more pals. This combo can feed 3-4 people. Since we had to take home some of the food, we asked if we could pack our leftover side dishes (I love the pickled radish). Our server gave us a new pack of side dishes. Great service and large portions make this a place worth checking out!

We ordered one of combination that gives Jajang-myeon, 88 jjam-bbong, and chicken. Jjambbong was really good, soup was flavorful and spiciness was well enough. Jajang was also good. As we were two people, we couldn't finish the food, they gave us nice container boxes to bring food back home.

88 noodle

If you are hungry and want big portions of food, 88 noodles house on Kingsway is the place to go. Seafood fried rice and 88 noodle Service is fast . Food is ok and cheap.

We drove all the way from Seattle (US) to try this hidden gem and omg it was so worth it! One of the best jajangmyeon and jjamppong I've ever tried. Anyone who is looking for a Korean place to eat around Burnaby area must give this place a shot :) We arrived at lunch time on a Saturday noon and was able to get seats without waiting. We got the combo C!

The price is very reasonable and they have big portions. However, I find that the soup of that seafood noodle has not much taste.

Sweet and sour pork the sauce is too small. Taste is not good either. Too much seasoning MSG for all food.

Service was pretty quick when I visited, wasn't too busy with about three other tables of diners. Food-wise: their prices and portions are quite reasonable but I have yet to discover my favorite menu item or their best dishes as taste for bulgogi was just okay. Overall, their weekday lunch special is good value. Though their food on my first visit wasn't especially memorable, their spacious interior + modern ambience + efficient service + good value and free parking brings them up from 3.5 stars to a 4 stars rating since this is a place I would definitely consider visiting again to try other dishes. And I am hopeful about finding items to my liking because they offer a fairly diverse food and drinks menu.

It's simply decorated with Soju bottles or posters of Korean pop stars or actors. Love the casual and laid back vibe! There is a bell on the table if you need attention from the servers, and they are usually pretty efficient and fast when it is rung. We saw that there was a $9.99 combo deal and everyone at our table was shocked. We all ordered that. The combo comes with your choice of a noodle dish (Jajangmyeon or Black Bean noodles, Korean udon, or Spicy Cold noodles) and a Beef Bulgogi on the side. I ordered the Jajangmyeon with the Beef Bulgogi and it was great! I enjoyed the nice chew from the noodles and the Black Bean sauce was flavoured well. I was pleased to find chunks of pork in the noodles also. The Beef Bulgogi was a little watery, but tasted sweet and tender. All that food for $9.99. That's unheard of in this economy and in these times! Amazing. We'll definitely return as we saw other great deals on the menu also!

We also got prime grade beef short ribs, marinated short ribs, and brisket point. I would say this can easily be shared by 4 people because it's a lot of food! We ate all the meat but had a lot of the soup and rice left. It was $140 for all of that which when split is pretty good! My favourite was their brisket point. Their soup was also veryyy comforting!! My other two friends got their glass noodles and Korean pancakes. The glass noodles were delicious!! Very flavourful. The pancakes I thought were a little too oily. I would definitely come back! The service was fast but I thought it was very strange that they wouldn't provide more than 2 takeout boxes for a table of 5.
