    Korean Blood Sausage

A small family run Korean restaurant specializing in classic, authentic and unique Korean dishes typically eaten at home! Bukchigo Jangguchigo will make you feel like you've been adopted into a Korean household! This little joint is famous for their grilled Blood Sausage and Organs Iron Plate! Super chewy and flavorful, I really enjoyed it especially with the garlic and dipping sauce it came with. The spicy stir-fried pork hocks were the highlight of the meal for a spice lover like me. Super flavorful, tender, and packed with a lot of heat! You get to choose the level of spiciness for this dish, but just beware because they grade it on the Korean spice palette. I have a high spice tolerance, so medium was just perfect to me!

Came here for some korean food instead of eating kimbab cheongguk wanting to try something new since i was around the area. We ordered the bibimbap, the bulgogi, sundobu, hameul pajeon and the cold buckwheat noodle. The food was just so so for my taste. I personally think other korean restaurants around the area did better just for my personal taste. The service was good and the tea was extremely warm so it was really good. Place was really warm during the winter so it shows how the building envelope of the building was good too. Cheers for some korean food!

Pork hock was spicy but flavorful which is rare. Texture was great. Was not too chewy. Radish was sweet and crisp. Side dishes were good. Bakgoli was good. Legit 4.

    Kimchi tofu, bibimbap

Friendly and welcoming staffs. Customizable spicy levels. We had the Kimchi Tofu Stew and Bibimbap. They came with banchan (side dishes) too. Both included lots of food inside and taste pretty good. I like their radish kimchi.

I went for the sogogi dolsot bibimbap. It was served quickly and came with a large variety of banchan. I loved the bottle of spicy red sauce and probably added way too much, but it was so tasty. The rice crisped up on the dolsot at the bottom and provided a nice texture. The kimchi banchan was delicious so was the fish cake banchan. I recently saw a few foodies post about this spot so I assume they're going to get pretty busy soon. I will try and get a group of friends next time so we can try more things. You also get a yakult at the end of your meal. Easy parking in the lot, or pay parking on Anson. Come check it out!

The army stew is my go-to dish to order whenever I'm craving Korean comfort food, & theirs definitely hit the spot with the generous servings of meats, 2 types of noodles, various veggies, & all without being too salty. The seafood pancake was crispy & so hearty. We enjoyed chasing everything down with refreshing Milkis & (my fave) Cass beer! The ambience is lovely; walls are decorated with traditional Korean Hanbok outfits & texts. Service was friendly & prompt. All in, a 10/10 experience!

They offer a variety of meat, cuts, and combo deals but on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, they have an all beef and all pork all you can eat. We went on a Wednesday and it was all you can eat pork belly and marinated pork, with a soup and unlimited kimchi pancake and sides all for $30. The servers were extremely attentive in asking about refills, whether that's the rice, meats or even side dishes. A great bang for your buck for all you can eat these days. We heard the staff speaking to many customers in Korean so it must be Koreans approved. Need to come back on a Tuesday to try their beef all you can eat!

I was craving this soup and glad I tried it here because it hit the spot! Tasted delicious, didn't have to wait for a table, and it was reasonably priced then. Came back here last night for dinner with my family and was finally able to try the bbq items. It was a hit! We ordered 2 of the combo A which was the perfect servings for 2 adults and 3 (very hungry!) teenaged boys. Not only did it come with 3 meat types (thinly sliced pork belly, marinated beef Bulgogi, and one other thinly sliced beef), it also came with soup, banchan, and a big bowl of Bibimbap. We also ordered their seafood pancake which was perfectly crispy and not too thin or thick. The actual bbq grill itself was the best one I've seen at a Korean restaurant because it was non-stick, temperature controlled really well, and it didn't leave us smelling like the food after dining. The ventilation must've been good here as it wasn't super smoky at all. The best dish was definitely the bean paste soup! We all loved it and had never tried it before, so next time we have Korean, it will be a staple in our order! It wasn't too busy last night so we were seated right away. Staff were friendly and while they were short-staffed, they were quick enough to get what we requested and ordered in a timely manner.

Very flavourful. If you love onions, order this. Came with PURPLE RICE. I love Korean purple rice (which I believe is a mix of many different grains added to white rice). Unfortunately most Korean restaurants in Vancouver do not have purple rice. -Cold Noodle (14.99$, but they have a lunch special where, for 16.99$, you get two potato pancakes): At first I was hesitant to order this because I love buckwheat (dark gray/purplish colour) cold noodles, and these weren't those, but am so happy we did. I love the texture. The flavour of the broth was also excellent. My only qualm was the "cucumber garnishes" that, in my opinion, were actually too-sweet pickles. Other than that, highly recommend. Potato pancakes were also very yummy. They served complimentary barley tea, and had yummy banchans (kimchi radish, fish cake, and soy sauce pickled onions). The waitress (daughter of the owner-her mother) was very kind and patient with all my questions. Affordable, delicious, authentic, with good portion sizes.

I tried their Lunch Special - Jeyook rice set. For this dish, I've had better in other Korean restaurants in Vancouver. The waitress said it would be medium spicy -- it was not spicy. The sauce covered up how shredded up and fatty the pork slices were if you really looked. The flavors were just not there. The side dishes were also pretty bland for me and didn't have my usual favorites - it included shredded carrots, a mushroom-like dish, and kimchi that was not memorable. They offer some other items like Sooda Boxes and hot plates with melted cheese, etc that looks photo-worthy and probably would appeal to larger groups to share. Maybe those taste better.
