Korean place located near Halifax and Rosser. Parking is available in the Madison Square lot just to the S side. The place looks pretty modern, with the dark theme and laminate tables. Staff are friendly. As of the time of writing, there is a ramen and kimbap meal combo. I only had the bulgogi kimbap (wasn't too hungry) but it was pretty solid. Special mention. My buddy had the ramen as well and it looked good. Guess I'll go try it next time.

Superb little spot for lunch or dinner. Authentic mom and pop store. Service might be a bit slower as its only one person cooking but certainly will come back again to try other dishes.

I ordered the boneless chicken, which was a bit hard and dry, the yangnyeom fries, which were delicious, and the bulgogi bibimbap, which was also tasty! The restaurant had a cute vibe, and we could sit anywhere. The server was friendly too.

This is a cute restaurant with quick service. The honey garlic chicken was a bit too sweet for my liking so I would pass on that next time. I actually really liked the house dressing for the salad (probably a sesame dressing.) The kimbap was delicious and I'm glad that they add a lot of filling and a thin layer of rice.

Honestly a hidden gem , very delicious Korean culinary prepared by real Korean chef!!. Ambience is so cozy, service offered by IRENE was very courteous, diligent and friendly . Although we are living in the surroundings, but always it will be a first time, and it will not the last, We had half boneless chicken, Jjusam Bulgogi and a chicken combo , all very delicious, generous portions and affordable dishes. Our Molson Canadians was at the right temperature . Strongly recommended!!!

The food is delicious. I ordered cold noodles and shared it with a friend. First time trying it and I like it! The corn dog was good I preferred having both mozzarella and dog style rather than just mozzarella.

They have the basic Korean dishes but the flavours are not basic! Great Korean neighbourhood spot. I asked one of the servers what their specialty is and what tasted good and she said everything. Haha!! We tried the fried chicken and the Samgyeopsal dosirak (pork belly). Think of it like a bento box cuz it came with rice, salad, soup, and your main. It was delicious!

Food - 4/5 Atmosphere - 3/5 Service - 3/5 Value - 4/5 Would I go back? - Yes Think of your hole in the wall restaurant but clean. Also somewhat self serve, but the food comes out quickly. They don't have that many tables inside but they're not that busy either. Fried chicken was the best, no matter what flavour. Crunchy on the outside with a flavourful sauce followed by juicy boneless thigh meat. Kimbap was big, and also stuff full of filling and not just rice. The seafood pancake was okay, I've had better. The value is pretty good for what you get. Will definitely go back for take out or dine in.

Okay, the second visit was even better since I went with my wife and we were able to sample a bunch of different items from the vegan menu: mandu (dumplings), tofu kimbap (like sushi), soon tofu (a gentle soft tofu stew), and bulgogi ("beef"). The tofu kimbap and bulgogi were especially fantastic. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem tucked away in Burnaby!!! My partner and I tried this place and absolutely loved it!! Prices are reasonable and most of the food is very yummy!!! We've already gone back 3 times and plan to go more in the future Our favs are their fried chicken, japchae and bibimbap! My partner loves their fried chicken and we would say it's the best Korean fried chicken we've had to date! We've also tried their tteokboki and kimbap however it wasn't our fav. The tteokboki is average and the kimbap was a little dry. The rib combo was okay but not a fav. Overall though, great place and definitely will be our go-to Korean place from now on

First time visiting this place since it's former Pita Pit spot. They have great hours (11AM to 11:59PM!!!) so should be nice for late night cravings or post drink eats. They have good seating sizes - tables and against the wall. The staff are very kind and eager as that area doesn't get as much foot traffic as Brentwood side but it's worth the jaunt down. Ordered Jajangmyeon and mandu special - great price and nice portion but the Jajangmyeon sauce wasn't as flavourful as I am used to! The mandu was perfectly cooked and satisfying! I want to come next for their rice dishes, chicken and cup bop specials to really taste their menu.

Service was pretty quick when I visited, wasn't too busy with about three other tables of diners. Food-wise: their prices and portions are quite reasonable but I have yet to discover my favorite menu item or their best dishes as taste for bulgogi was just okay. Overall, their weekday lunch special is good value. Though their food on my first visit wasn't especially memorable, their spacious interior + modern ambience + efficient service + good value and free parking brings them up from 3.5 stars to a 4 stars rating since this is a place I would definitely consider visiting again to try other dishes. And I am hopeful about finding items to my liking because they offer a fairly diverse food and drinks menu.

It's simply decorated with Soju bottles or posters of Korean pop stars or actors. Love the casual and laid back vibe! There is a bell on the table if you need attention from the servers, and they are usually pretty efficient and fast when it is rung. We saw that there was a $9.99 combo deal and everyone at our table was shocked. We all ordered that. The combo comes with your choice of a noodle dish (Jajangmyeon or Black Bean noodles, Korean udon, or Spicy Cold noodles) and a Beef Bulgogi on the side. I ordered the Jajangmyeon with the Beef Bulgogi and it was great! I enjoyed the nice chew from the noodles and the Black Bean sauce was flavoured well. I was pleased to find chunks of pork in the noodles also. The Beef Bulgogi was a little watery, but tasted sweet and tender. All that food for $9.99. That's unheard of in this economy and in these times! Amazing. We'll definitely return as we saw other great deals on the menu also!

I dont really like jambong, so I'm super glad 88 noodle house lets you choose 2 jjajangmyeon! Perfect combo. For the meat dish, you can get tangsuyuk or gganpunggi. We chose the gganpunggi (sweet chili chicken). Jjajangmyeon was ok. Nothing too special about it. Good portions. The gganpunggi was also a good portion! However, I found that it was mostly batter, and since they use a mix of tapioca starch and other as breading, it gets jello-y when not completely cooked. The flavor was really good, but I was disappointed with the batter to chicken ratio. I will continue my search for this type of combo!

We always get the black bean noodles. Flavour is consistent, tasty, and it comes out quick and hot from the kitchen. We rotate between the sweet chili chicken and the sweet and sour pork. This time we got the sweet chili chicken. Flavour is good and comes piping hot and crispy. However, I did find the breading a bit heavy and there is a lot of fat in the layers. Same goes for the sweet and sour pork. I love their coating and the flavour is great, but sometimes I just get a coated piece of fat which is a bit off-putting. We also like the japchae, but find it has a bit too much onion for us. Ok cold nights we like to get the 88 noodle soup. Hot, peppery, slightly spicy. Goes well with the pickles they give you. Service is always quick and polite. No issues there. And the seating is spacious with lots of booth seating.
