We went on a Monday afternoon, Jair was our server and he went above and beyond. Food was delicious and they were able to make sure my wet burrito was vegetarian. The place in nice and the music is good. read more

The cocktails were amazing, our server was beyond sweet, but overall, the food was mediocre (bone dry carnitas!). Paired with having to shout to be heard over the music, this is definitely a cool hangout spot if you don't mind the prices, but not great for conversation. read more

Amazing place to go with family and friends. Our waiter was Jaír is a very attentive and kind person. The food is so good I recommend it! read more

The food was good and the setting is very cool, but the service tonight was not great. I'm not sure if they were just down a couple people, but it was a long wait for the bill and I had to ask for a box about 3 times. I noticed the people around me were getting a little irritated by the same thing too. I would try it again though. read more

Amazing service, great food and drinks! Jennifer was our waitress, and she was very attentive to us. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Overall, it was a great experience. We will definitely be coming back. read more

Went for Sunday brunch and bottomless mimosas. Such a fun experience, the ambiance was amazing, the food was amazing, the drinks were great! Definitely recommend this place for a fun! Will definitely be coming back read more

Amazing service provided by Jair definitely would come back as this would be my new favorite location ask for him anytime you visit here .

The manager lied and said my wife's purse wasn't there. And then changed his story after she insisted she knew without a doubt it was there. Very untrustworthy. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I know why they have bad reviews now! I made a reservation at 6:15 and got there at 6:22 because there was no parking and go inside and they said oh we skip you have 10 mins! And you have to get on a waitlist but I said it hasn't even been 10 mins it has been 7 mins she said let me ask the manager and then came back and said no he said we are late! I never been to this place and won't come back just reading all there bad reviews and yes a lot of ghetto people for being Simi Valley! Ended up at the market boiler and got great food and good customer!! read more

Laura Hernandez was the best server for my 34th birthday brunch. Fast efficient and super sweet and nice. If you guys come you should always ask for her. She was also really pretty read more

Highly recommended!! Great environment and food. The staff was bubbly and on point. Diffidently coming back!

We loved the food here and Rodrigo gave us great service. We wanted to try it out since it just opened and we were happily surprised. We will definitely be coming back again read more

Super cool hangout place. Great drinks with a fun vibe. Our waitress Haley was the best! Super attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back! read more

Went in for lunch on April 8th, grand opening weekend. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Unfortunately the birria tacos were a disappointment. One taco was filled with fat and other meat parts that were inedible. The other fell apart and one was just okay. We were given a $10 credit for this. read more

Great food, great drinks, Friendly staff and super cool environment. Simi please don't ruin something nice in this town over having to wait on a busy Friday night or because its "too loud". Just choose a place with a quite environment for your baby elephant ears. read more

We had a horrible time tonight at Kalaveras. We went when it originally opened. It was way too loud and definitely not kid friendly at the time. We decided to give it another chance and have been back a few times as we enjoy their nachos and tacos. It had seemed less loud and chaotic (with the exception of their Happy Birthday chaos). We were able to talk and have a good time. Until tonight. Horrible service. We sat at the bar and our bartender only came back maybe twice to ask us if we needed anything. At one point when I was waiting for her to come back, my husband saw her giving one of the other waiter's a massage. Tonight some DJ was there... this poor other couple who had a baby had to leave every time the Happy Birthday chaos started. But the music in general was so loud that even my husband had to get up and ask him to turn it down. I don't mind a good time, but it was so loud that my ears were ringing like I had left a concert. We expressed our feelings to the waiter who saw we were leaving not happy and he could care less. We tried to give it another chance but will not be coming back. read more

So bummed. We waited and we're so excited when this place finally opened. We went fairly soon of grand opening, so I didn't want to review it at that point ( I'm a former restaurant owner & GM of many) Well, gave it another shot. Over priced, food is bland w odd ingredients ( not Mexican) presentation inconsistent, music loud, drinks not good. Verdict from all peeps around town, disappointing & won't make it, especially in this demographic. read more

AMAZING!!! Come here if you wanna have a great time!!! Jenifer is soooo great!!!! Definitely recommend!!!!

Awful food and drinks. Drinks were so sweet it was even drinkable and the food was not great. Even with low standards it's still just not great. The atmosphere was amazing though I can see why it's busy it's fun and cool and good music. But need to get better with food and definitely expected more from drinks. read more

The food was so good! I enjoyed the atmosphere, and music. The Chile verde was the bomb! Our waiter was very nice! I will return.

Had the best experience during my dinner last night! Jair is absolutely amazing and gave us the best service no one has ever given at any restaurant!!! I definitely will be coming back and asking for Jair again. read more

I've been here twice now and the food and the service has been excellent both times! I have gotten the taquitos, nachos, shrimp and carne asada tacos, Kala burrito, and all were great! The nachos are humongous. Potato taquitos were the best taquitos I've ever had. The shrimp tacos were good, not the best I've ever had, I didn't think they were worth $6. Definitely coming back! read more

My friends and I visited this place to have a nice time and eat something delicious. It was the first time we visited this place and I can only say that I really recommend it, the service of our waitress Gema was really friendly, attentive and very helpful. I really recommend that you visit this restaurant. read more

Way too loud, very expensive for what it is, & the shrimp in the ceviche was still gray and translucent. Not even edible. Updating to respond to the business: shrimp should still be pink to white and opaque when cooked, even in ceviche. read more

Food, service, atmosphere was good, but the dj is the only one that decides what u hear cuz he thinks he knows everything.... ive never yelped EVER, so save ur money! read more

This restaurant has only been open for a few weeks and it always looks crowded, so I had high hopes. There's a lively atmosphere with interesting lighting and decor. Unfortunately, that is about the only positive thing we experienced. Service was friendly, but very slow. I had the chicken enchiladas in some type of verde sauce. I could not taste the chicken, or anything else in the enchilada, except for the sauce. The sauce had an overwhelming sour flavor and tasted like it came out of a can. My wife had carnitas tacos, which run $5 each. They are about the size of a regular taco at Del Taco. The meat tasted nothing like pork and did not have the texture one would expect from carnitas. It was more like shredded beef that has been cooked in a crock pot all day. Don't see any reason to try this place again. read more

Good food, cool vibe, music too loud, kinda pricey, below average service, horrible management. I got the shrimp tacos, they were good and filling. At the end of the night, my friend's credit card didn't come back with the paid bill, he notified the waitress and she asked for his name and number "if" the card turns up. If!?!?!. 15-20 minutes later and constant researches of the booth, our pockets and the floors, they realized they accidentally gave it to another table, no apologies, no nothing. Not their card, not their problem I guess. At a place of this quality I would expect more, an apology, a sense of urgency or reassurance they are doing the best they can to locate the card. Think about other nice restaurants, would they have reacted the same? I think not. The food was good tho, that's why it's a 2 star. I gotta be honest. read more

My first time goin to this place ever! I was so impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful, the ambiance was beautiful and they had amazing music, and the service was spectacular! Our server was BRANDON and he was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful! He was extremely efficient as well! I have found my new hangout spot! Thank you BRANDON! The food was so good we kept thinking about it and went the next day! This time we got KEVIN. KEVIN was awesome, friendly, attentive and helpful; just like BRANDON! Excellent service and beautiful drinks and delicious food! I feel like I'm in a club! I love this place! read more

We had heard such good things about this restaurant. We live in Simi so it was exciting to see a new spot. The wait was only about 20 minutes, which is not too bad for a new restaurant on a Sunday evening. Once we were seated, the server did not come to our table for about 15 minutes. The music here is so loud that we couldn't hear each other. Our server was friendly but was clearly overwhelmed. Our food came out before our drinks. The food was incredibly greasy. The beef was really fatty and I had to dismantle my tacos to find actual edible meat. They gave my daughter ketchup packets for her French fries. We left with headaches. read more

We went this past weekend, the food was good. It was not busy, by any means, yet still took forever to place the order for drinks then for food. We were a party of 9 -and that can be a lot- but it was empty otherwise. We had to flag our guy down every time we needed something, he never once came to ask if we needed anything, it was just when we grabbed him that we were able to ask. Also weird, no salt and pepper shakers- But the big thing for me- the bathroom, it was just disgusting. Also there was NO toilet paper at one point at all- I did ask and it was a good 10 minutes before anyone put anything. If they did, I'm not even sure, we were leaving by then. I have been in places that have been in business many years- not new at all and they keep their bathrooms up- I was just surprised, I guess. If it was that way when its empty, I am afraid to see it when its packed. Overall, food was fine, fun decor......but I think they need more help, maybe with behind the scenes... read more

DISAPPOINTED, their site had lower prices than the menu. Enchilada Verde I got was ok but cold must have been siting waiting for other things. Service was great. Friends food was also cold only one out of 4 orders was warm. would not recommend it. read more

Food and drinks are amazing! Edgar and the other bartenders went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience! Will definitely be going back! read more

The food was slightly better than average; the service was barely average and the noise level was off the charts. Ridiculously loud music made conversation impossible unless you were willing to yell across the table which many people tried only adding to the disturbing noise level. Unless you are deaf or wish to be, I'd avoid this place. read more

What an amazing brunch! Rigo was AMAZING! Will definitely come back for more:) What a fun place to celebrate a birthday!

Great food, their salsa's are outstanding. I just wish they had a bigger menu selection. It's a little pricey but what restaurant isn't these days. The drink menu has a large selection of mixed drinks and was not disappointed with the drink I ordered. The service needs a little fine tuning, which is understandable for a new restaurant. The atmosphere borders on a night club feel, which I liked a lot. read more
