The Gold Coast Coffee Shop also serves really delicious pastries I was staring at these pastries in their clear display case last night. The hours on Yelp show them open only one morning a week, and their own web site suggests you call ahead to request a tasting or cupping session. I missed that part and found a locked door. At home, though, their beans make some really tasty coffee in our automated espresso machine. To get the best balance, I first coarsened the grind but ultimately reduced the brewing temp a bit. Definite notes of cocoa and dark chocolate. We buy online. Beans are shipped UPS with tracking. Online ordering from their web site may be the easiest way to find out what Coatl has to offer.
