    Shish Mix plate!! So delicious!
    Victor H.

Don't pass up on this Mediterranean restaurant! Amazing food freshly prepared! After my wife and I attended the Chandler International Film Festival, we we dying for dinner. I had this place bookmarked in Yelp and it was close enough from the theater. It is directly across Mandi House another one of our favorite restaurants. I already knew what I wanted to order before we arrived. We ordered the Shish mix plate, which included a skewer each of Lamb, chicken, and beef kabob over basmati rice, greek salad, hummus, and bread! Everything was so delicious! I loved the char on the kabobs which were cooked over open flame. The hummus tasted so freshly prepared. The Greek salad was cold with crispy lettuce. The bread was soft! I'm telling you, you can't go wrong with this place. It was enough to serve both of us!

The place is kind of small, with a couple of tables located in a small strip mall on Apache and McClintock. The people inside were friendly, busy as they were still making my order when I came to pick it up. The prices are great, and the portions are huge. The food was ok, I had a Caesar salad that was drenched in dressing, made the lettuce and croutons soggy. I ordered falafel, came with 6 wheels of falafel. They were flavorful, but as bit dry. The hummus tasted good. I may try again sometime.

Me and my husband wanted Shwarma and kabizza was near. When we walked in the smell was incredible. The person taking our order was funny and helpful. The food is absolutely worth the wait. They were not fasr but the food is super delicious.

falafel bites and they brought me a side of lentil soups- very yummy

I was in the mood for some Mediterranean food and found Kabizza through Yelp. As I entered the restaurant I was greeted by the staff. I was able to ask what items on the menu were vegetarian. They offer menus on a screen and laminated as well. I was able to sit down and look the menu before placing my order. I was informed I was substitute a meat item on one of their plates for a falafel if I wanted too since I don't eat meat. I ordered the Falafel Bites plate. They offered a complimentary small bowl of lentil soup- super tasty and the Falafel Bites plate was delicious. The plate came with 6 falafel, hummus, salad, pita and rice. Everything was really good. The portions are a good size. I ate everything on my plate! The restaurant offers plenty of seating- booth and chairs. They have coke products and bottle beverages. I tried a bottle of Freez- Peach & Mango (recommend, if you like carbonated drinks). Overall I had a good lunch at Kabizza.

Pro-tip: You get a free lentil soup with your order. I might wait a bit before dining in here because 1) their bathroom is under renovation and the only option is the hookah lounge next-door and 2) they didn't have water from the drinking dispenser set up yet. Highlights: Honestly I was blown away by the food. Everything was so delicious and I really can't fault the food anywhere. From the free lentil soup, to the meats, salad, pita/wraps, rice - it was all seriously so good! The owner was really sweet as well and gave us all three bottles of water since their water dispenser was unavailable. I thought the food was very well priced. I would return in a heartbeat. Lowlights: It took quite a while for the food to come out. I was disappointed that their bathroom was unavailable and you had to use the hookah lounge next-door because someone in our party was pregnant and that wasn't a good option for her.

A true hole in the wall! Delicious food, excellent service and great prices. We went last night for dinner at around 6:30pm. There was only one occupied table. Place is new but the location or building is old and needs quite a bit of TLC. We ordered the mix grill plate, dolmeh, and the nice guy who took our order made us a shawarma combo plate as an exception. It basically had a little bit of both beef and chicken shawarma. The plates are served with rice, hummus, salad and freshly baked pita bread. The lentil soup was a surprise. It's complimentary. We also ordered two soft drinks. Lentil soup was great. It was creamy and had just the right amount of spices. It just needed a squeeze of lemon juice. It would be perfect if a lemon wedge is served with the bowl next time. The dolmeh could have been better but the rice in it was undercooked so it was crunchy. Not what you would expect for dolmeh. The flavors were good though. Between the shawarma plate and the shish mix, I say go for the shish. Everything was melting in our mouths. Whoever is grilling is a MASTER! The plate incudes kafta or kabab, chicken tikka and lamb tikka. The lamb was cooked to perfection. So tender and tasty. The chicken was also perfect. It wasn't dry at all, tender and juicy it was fantastic. Hummus was good. Bread so soft and the rice had delicious flavor. The whole dish is 10/10! Shawarma was good too but the shish won yesterday. With the chicken shawarma, they served garlic sauce or "toom". It was perfect! A must try with any grilled chicken or chicken shawarma. Prices are very reasonable. The shish mix is less than $20, $18.99 to be exact and the portion was huge. We had to take the leftovers home. Our bill for everything including tip was a little over $62. We will be retuning and hope that the upgrades will be done (including the bathrooms) when we try them again. This could easily be a 5-star review then!

First time here and I was super impressed! Wish this place was closer so that I can go more often. If you dine in, you get a free bowl of lentil soup. That was really good! My favorite was the beef shawarma plate. The presentation of the food is really nice and I love how there's a variety of options on the plate. Salad and hummus were delicious! The beef was juicy and flavorful. The only thing is the pita was a bit harder than I would have liked. We also got the chicken shawarma, a salad, and fries! Very friendly staff! Indoor seating available.

My husband, son, and I dined here on a Saturday afternoon. Orders can be placed at the counter & they deliver your food to your table. They have a standard Mediterranean menu with hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, chicken shawarma, etc. We ordered the App Mix which came with dolmas, kibbeh, falafel, hummus, and baba ganoush. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate which came with salad, hummus, and rice. We liked the hummus & pita best, followed by the falafel, which were nice & crispy and also light & fluffy. The rice, chicken, & kibbeh were also good. The dolmas were just ok (not a huge of these, usually) as was the baba ganoush. Prices were very reasonable, especially with the portion sizes. It wasn't too busy when we went in so we were helped right away. If you're in the area, give them a try.

Look at this massive plate of food! This modest strip mall restaurant churns out some amazing and delicious food. When we arrived after seeing it on Yelp!, we were the only patrons. We asked what's most popular and each ordered this mixed plate...not at all realizing that it was enough for two...or more! We were even served lentil soup to start. Everything was outstanding. Leftovers were great the next day for dinner, too. Fresh, good Mediterranean food is hard to find, especially at these prices! Again, it's a modest facade but the food is really worthy of high regards. Come on, Yelpers! Get over there and enjoy!!!

Amazingly delicious!!! Tried the chicken tekkah plate and the chicken was perfectly moist and so flavorful! The plate came with complimentary lentil soup which was also delicious and a wonderful surprise. You order your food and then you sit down. Food does take a little longer than usual as it is being cooked to order. You can see and hear the grill master at work! Give them a try when in the Tempe area! Parking is easy accessible.

chicken shwarma was great quality and a great price'! fries are seasoned just right, not too salty.

Random stop in for our friend group and man it was a great find! The service was awesome and they even gave us some complimentary lentil soup that was so so tasty. Shish & Slices served pretty traditional Mediterranean dishes but executed so well. All the food in the group was absolutely delicious, from the hummus and rice to the gyros and kabobs! Despite the color in my photo, my kebab was quite moist and soft and not dried out at all! Business seemed quiet when I visited so I encourage anyone who reads this to stop by. Great people serving great food!

    Maria O.

The food was absolutely delicious. Very flavorful!! And the service was very friendly as well. It's a very chill spot. We will definitely be coming back.

Afterwards, he mentioned that he tasted it and agreed about our comments- I appreciate that level of attention. Shortly after, the food arrived. Spicy pork tacos for me, and BLTA for my wife. The tacos looked a little overdressed. I was so wrong. Flavor and texture were balanced perfectly. The tortillas were firm, but again, perfectly suited to the juicy pork, that had a teriyaki vibe. Sprouts, carrot and cucumber toppings worked well, despite my expectations. The BLTA was HUGE. Great flavor. Both entrees were ordered with sweet potato fries. Unusual cut to them, but seasoned perfectly. I paired mine with chipotle aioli and ate every last one. They serve salads, bowls, sandwiches, all-day breakfast, protein shakes, fresh juices, and other healthy, fast-casual eats for dine-in or take-away. My kind of place! This is one of those spots that I'd frequent if I lived nearby (ChopShop, want to open in Northern California?!). I stumbled upon this spot after a little self-guided tour of ASU campus on a sleepy Sunday morning (everyone must have been asleep after the big football game the day before). I'd forgotten about this spot and it was such a happy surprise to find it again and to see that they survived the pandemic and are still thriving. First visit I ordered: -Cheat Day Wrap: scrambled egg, bacon, white cheddar, smashed avocado, tomato, brown rice (I ordered without rice), and turkey or ham (I skipped these too) *DELISH on a whole wheat wrap!!! Full of flavor and super easy to eat. This hearty breakfast sando fueled my active morning of hiking "A" Mountain (Hayden Butte Preserve) the running around the the IronMan course to spectate (30,000+ steps as a spectator!). We couldn't leave town without another trip. I took my guy and we enjoyed a salad, another breakfast wrap, and: -Chicken + Prosciutto Sandwich: grilled chicken, prosciutto, fontina, arugula, fig mostarda, dijon (no dijon for us), on a house bun. If you're in the area, looking for a healthy-ish breakfast, lunch, or snack, definitely check out Original ChopShop. Note: it gets busy at peak meal hours with students and faculty. Order at the kiosks (super easy), grab a number, find a table in their cozy interior or on their large front patio, and your food will be brought to you. Have a question? Just ask - the staff were very friendly and helpful in guiding our choices. And I love that they allow modifications to most menu items! We'll be back!!!

There's also a bar space that runs along the window that separates the small dining room and the patio. There are a few tables inside as well as some bigger tables on the patio. The patio is nice with lots of shrubs right outside the rail. The murals on the wall are pretty darn cool - - they're like enlarged historic photos of the area. I love them! And I'm not sure who's giant face is hanging on the ceiling but it's short a spark conversation. The menu here has a little something for everyone. There's the regular loaded fries and wings, salads, and a nice election burgers. We ordered the Philly Salad and the Very Summer Salad with a side order of fries. They make their own ranch, and it is good. I will say they don't seem to skim on salad ingredients either - - the Philly salad was covered with shaved beef, and my berry salad had a lot of chicken and tons of blue cheese. The fries were delicious - - slightly seasoned and crispy. This place is clearly dog friendly.
