It's a place that customers order online for pickup or delivery. If it's for pickup, when we arrive, we call them and they will bring out the food. I had tried a few items there, the prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. It's great for an easy dinner tonight. One tip is that they intend to get the food ready quite a bit of the schedule time. It could be 20-30 mins ahead of the schedule time. Had high hopes based on reviews, but we ordered three main dishes and all were perfectly fine, but not great. All should have been different, but they had exactly the same flavors and vegetables (onions, green bell peppers, and button mushrooms). One dish also had a few baby corn. They even looked bland and the same. Also, their spice level choices are wack. It's "none", "a little spicy", "thai spicy", or "extreme." It's been 2 months since I've been by. The food is still solid. I got my usual order and did mild spicy for the shrimp and medium spicy for the noodles and it was perfect. I can't try anything else because I love these two dishes so much! The area has finished repaving mostly so it was much easier to drive right up and park on the side. Wait, what - Mine is only the third review? No way. Time to give them some attention. So, it's COVID-19 stay-the-heck-at-home time. Businesses like Ka Pow Thai, a food truck, basically has no venue or businesses to park in front of to make any money. So they switched to delivering their own food. On top of that, they are doing a special of $7 everything on their menu. EVERYTHING! That includes shrimp dishes! That's right, for 7 bucks each, $20 min per order, you can have multiple dishes delivered to your front door. What?!? Order by text. Pay by Venmo. Join the "Eastside Restaurant Support..." FB group to see their availability. Needless to say, ordering, payment, delivery was perfect. Food arrived early actually. Not complaining! Ok. Onto the food. Their menu is pretty straight-forward. Nothing wrong with that. Some good basic mainstream food. Our choices this time are: - Pad Kee Mow (spelling on their menu) with Shrimp - Lamy's Spicy Pad Thai (spelling on their menu) with Shrimp - Pork Garlic Thai Style - Crispy Chicken Madness The flavors are on point and very tasty. The ingredients have a good balance - not too much starch, good veggies and protein. The crispy chicken dish is a touch greasy but still good. The portions are surprisingly full size, think lunch size plus a bit more. I'm a big fan of noodle dishes so preferred the Pad Kee Mow and the Pad Thai the most. I would have liked the spicy to be even more spicy, but I can handle a lot. The food arrived piping hot. How did they do that? They drove all the way from West Seattle! Authentic, insane flavor, well worth it. Explanation: So I don't normally have this category, but this place requires a little more. So Ka Pow Thai shares a kitchen with a couple other places including Amazing Food Co. I thought it was a food truck based on the name, but it's not. But it's just a kitchen so you can't eat in, you just order online, wait outside and they bring your food to you. It's a little "different", but "different" is good, and in this case, amazing. It's right on Delridge, so really busy street. Parking: They have a few spots on the side of the restaurant, and then street parking, so it might be a little hard to find, but just wait and you'll get a spot because people are coming in and out. Location/Ambiance: See "Explanation". Service: Amazing, the sweetest lady in a hair cap came up to our car and asked if we needed help - it was our first time. She explained that normally people place orders online and it's about a 30min wait - so just pick up when your food is ready. We came at the end of the day, she was saying that they had run out of rice, but when we got our order there was fresh rice which I think she just cooked up for us. The wait was a little long, but to be expected - this place is HOPPING! Food: Wow - first off, it was PIPING hot! Pad Phed Thai Fish Bar Over Rice - our favorite. These are fishcakes with tons of basil and a sweet and salty taste. SOOOO good!!! I have a feeling this might taste a lot like the spicy eggplant chicken and will probably get that one next time because I like eggplant. Fish garlic - also a favorite. The deep fried fish had a umami sticky sauce that was heavy but balanced well with the steamed veggies. Would totally order this again. Kapow noodles - this had a special flavor that I couldn't quite pinpoint. I know I've had it before - possibly anise? I really liked it, but I think I will try some of their other noodles next time. Recommendation: Okay, this is my plan, go back, try a bunch of different dishes - and possibly order from some of the other restaurants in the same kitchen and just have a hodge hodge of amazing food :). And watch out - the spicy level is probably a little higher than your average Thai restaurant - meaning if you're looking for medium - order mild. And we didn't get any eating utensils or napkins. It might be something you need to ask for, or just make sure you have something ready in the car because you'll want to eat it right away! read more

seriously?! despite delridge being torn up by construction and the parking in the area more challenging than normal, make the effort because your taste buds will be rewarded by aromatic basil and other beloved thai spices. i'm pretty finicky when it comes to ordering thai food for take out simply because i think there's a lot of mediocre places that for some reason get popularized. ka pow is the opposite of mediocre! i ordered online the night before i was to pick up my food and everything about the order process was clear and customizable. if you don't want one of the ingredients, there's a way to click one or more of them away before you're asked to provide credit card info and check out . i even got a call from the owner who wanted to make sure i knew they weren't open at the time of my order but i explained that i had chosen the option to pick up the following day and he then understood...still, super nice gesture on his part to call to clarify! the day of my order, i got another text saying it was ready. i had chosen my go-to phad kee mow, basil fried rice and spicy violet. when picking up at the window on delridge ave sw, ring the intercom for them and they'll answer and meet you at the window with your order all bagged up. it's that simple! the challenge is getting home before you're covered in drool. the medium spicy was plenty spicy and i'm known for how much i love my heat so i'd suggest you spice down if you're someone who usually orders 1-2 stars. if you're one of those who like your food a little hotter in the 3-4 star range, medium spicy seemed totally spot on without the dreaded burning of taste buds beyond repair. (you do want to taste other food in your life, right?!) the flavors were great and the portion quantity was quite generous. there were plenty of leftovers plus they also included a small take out container of white rice (probably to accompany the spicy violet?) there are far more popular and highly reviewed thai restaurants in west seattle and i'm not saying they're without merit but if you live east of 35th, brave the construction zone. ka pow happens to be in my 'hood and i will definitely be directing some of my monthly food budget their way for the foreseeable future. read more

We just placed our second order within a week. We were impressed by how flavorful the food is without being overly salted! So far, we've had Thai wings, green curry, spicy pork, pad kee mow, pad see iew and tom yum soup. Everything has been delicious, and made with quality ingredients. West Seattle has a real gem with Ka Pow! Some of the best Thai food I've had in the greater Seattle area. Delicious street food fare, the servings are substantial and easy to share; can easily order multiple items to share with a family or small group. I decided to keep it really simple (traditional) for my first order with Ka Pow and I ordered Lamy's Spicy Pad Thai and the chive pancakes. But believe me when I say the food was anything but simple - a unique combination of beautiful, spicy flavors that revolutionized the taste of pad thai for me. Can tell it was made with lots of care and attention to detail, very high-quality - truly amazing food. The chive pancakes were such a nice accompaniment too! I cant wait to explore other items on the menu, especially some of their fried rices and crispy chicken. Glad that West Seattle has a place like this - I'd wager it's one of the best dining experiences in this area. You won't be disappointed. Side note - definitely agree with other reviews that this food leans on the spicier side (especially when the title says "spicy", haha go figure). I recently moved to West Seattle and found Ka Pow due to the favor many Yelpers paid us with reviews. I tried Ka Pow twice this week. The first time included Pad Kee Mow Noodle and Ka Pow Noodle Chicken and the second time was Panang Curry Chicken and Pad Thai Chicken. All four were outstanding. I am a spice hound and so ordered very spicy all four times. All were true to form and all four consumed to the last bite. If you don't like it very spicy back off of that level a bit but I'm glad I didn't. I have had Pad Thai and Panang Curry a whole lot of times with Ka Pow as good as both get. Quite simply I don't think you can go wrong here. Ka Pow has quickly become one of a couple "go to's" for me. It is that good. read more

What a gem in WS! Ordered Thai food first time from Ka Pow on thanksgiving day for lunch before turkey dinner. Ka Pow noodle and Thai shrimp fried rice. I'm amazed by their volume, gives you a lot! The sweet lady brought the food out to my car and surprised me with spring rolls on the house . So thankful for the business to make the customers day so special.
