K Nails is a family run business with the majority of staff being a family member. The entire family knows what they are doing in terms of BEAUTIFUL NAILS!! This place has terrible service. They use dirty reused tools on the next client. Then over charge for everything. If they make a mistake they get upset with you instead of fixing their mistake. Their technicians are all inconsistent with their work. Whatever they use to glue your acrylic nails down lifts within a week. I've been to several nail salons and my biggest pet peeve is...They don't listen to what you want and are always in a rush! I was always walking out with sore nail beds from the aggressive way that they use their dremmel sander or bleeding cuticles and cuts from their filing. My niece referred me to Helen, after seeing the horrible job the last nail salon had done, and I am extremely happy that I took her advice! Helen took one look at my nails...and I'm pretty sure she groaned. She removed the old acrylic and gave me a fresh set. She takes her time and is very detail oriented...AND gentle. I came in to get my nails fixed after the gel chipped within 3 days & to see what could be done about the gel x (they recommended I try) because the soreness lingered for 3 days. I spoke with the owner and kindly prefaced that I was a happy customer of 7 years and aside from this issues I was satisfied with every visit. After the owner assessed the health of my nails, she recommended that I do dip powder for the next few visits, she explained the same thing to the nail technician, and so the nail appointment started. I chose a dip color and she started removing the gel X... I did not ask her to change the materials being used, but as she continued, she started taking the steps you would in doing an acrylic set so I questioned her three times saying aren't we doing dip today? She could not understand my English, but kept reassuring me so I asked the nail technician next to her to communicate my question and she did the same response. I continued on letting her work on my hands. Assuming I just didn't know how dip worked and when she finished I for sure questioned her about the color because she took the color away and gave me acrylic colors so we had a little bit of a dispute but ultimately I just said whatever as long as this is dip.. We finished after five cuts to my cuticles and bleeding on my nails and I immediately go to the owner and inquire about what she had told the Nail Tech to do because I was confused about the original plan of dip powder and ending with acrylics. After a few attempts at explaining what happened She got visibly upset with me and grabbed my hand literally, and took a set of Trimmers and threatened to cut them off if I didn't want to pay or didn't like them. My eyes got teary and I started shaking, I was taken back by her reaction, without yelling back I reminded her I'm not here for a freebie genuinely here for a fix. Btw, check the cameras in the building you'll see everything I just explained. I pay them $130 every 3 weeks since 2017 & have had a good experience thus far Im in awe that she tripped on me for questioning something??? Thinking I wasn't paying or something??? Oh and since you need to be told, Never touch your clients without their permission SALON OWNER. And good luck with stepping over dollars to chase Pennie's. read more

This was my first time to this nail salon. The clerk at the front was kind and seated me right away. The woman that provided my service was not the nicest. She was aggressive filing my nails and all around in general when doing my pedicure. When I asked if she could please put three coats of nail polish on she responded with "yea, I know" very condescending her tone for most of the visit. I also noticed she was wiping down her tools such as the cuticle nipper and other metal supplies with a rag. That is not properly sanitizing their tools. I'm adding this photo to demonstrate that this pedicure is not worth $35. As she mentioned she knew to apply three coats, she would also know to wait for the prior coat to dry. She did not wait and you can see the area around my nail is flooded on one toe and the nail polish is smeared on the other toe from overlaying of wet nail polish. I was a walk-in Didn't wait too long on a Friday early evening. Requested SNS color fill. I knew the SNS brand color number & name... they tried telling me that they could try to get the color close... I should have just walked away but tried giving them the benefit of the doubt. The technician started to soak my nails in acetone & I kept asking why if I'm just getting a fill... she kept showing my the nail swatches and then brought out a powder that was not SNS brand. I pointed out that it's not SNS and she argued with me that it was. I gave up. This place does not use new drill bits on their manicure tools. The buffer was used (gross) The technician dipped my nail into the powder container - I get being cheap but this is extremely unhygienic. She nicked my skin so many times. My big toe has been quite a challenge for many years, and Tammy managed to successfully address the thickening nail condition and the fungus on my big toe that makes an appearance from time to time. I felt as though she is invested in my satisfaction and getting my nail healthy, it did NOT feel like an attempt to capture a sale, Tammy freely shared details of how to moisturise the skin as well as how to protect the nail bed during the stages of regrowth. This place is really over priced. I always used to favor this nail shop up until recently. I came in for a Gel manicure which in some locations varies around $25 bucks and up , here it's $28 which I was okay with BUT I wasn't aware or even made aware that adding a sparkle gel on top of the regular gel would be an additional $10 dollars. Apparently it's a "design". My entire total came out to $50.00 FOR A GEL MANICURE. I'd understand if I went to a really high end shop where I was treated like high class and they served beverages and other things but it's a regular shop. $28 for gel $10 for sparkle??? $1 for a card fee And my $10 tip I always give.which I understand it's optional, but tips are important I just wish I would've known before I paid because I tipped before I paid. Do not get your nails done here. When I get my nails done I like to choose the color I want and how I want them to look. The lady doing my nails started doing a design I wanted and saw she couldn't do it so I asked her to just polish my nails one color. I looked for a color I liked and she insisted on using a color she wanted. Definitely won't be back here. I had her take off the color she wanted me to get and left to get them done somewhere else.
