Loved the pedicure but I didn't even get a manicure because they were so packed and I had an appointment.

Poor Rose.. she does A fabulous job but she is the only one in the whole shop that is Good. So as a result you have to wait for Her!! Made an appointment and was still there for 2 hours. Her staff is nice but not advanced as Rose. Then since Rose is busy/overwhelmed she cant dedicate that extra time to detail!! My recommendation is to find another shop! read more

My nails look good the only reason i will not be going back is because two people told me 2 different prices and they didn't listen to nothing i had to say when i said i didn't want to pay extra and she did what she wanted to do to my nails saying that it will look pretty and charged me extra again. Women, sympathize with me here.. it is incredibly difficult to find a decent nail shop in the town you live in that won't charge you an arm and a leg but will still do a good job. *sigh*...trial and error has proven K&J nails to be a failure and a complete dump. DO NOT.. i repeat... DO NOT bother to try K&J! I walked in..and there were rows and rows of nail stations but no customers and no nail technicians. It was like a ghost town.. I had to call out to see if anyone was even there. In the back.. I heard voices and seconds later some older Woman in sweats and a T-shirt came out of this makeshift room within the salon. She was hacking all over the place and said, "Umm.. my kids are in the back. One of them is sick so I'll be back and forth if you don't mind." I grabbed my things and walked out. This place is horrible I wouldn't even give it one star. They did such a terrible job on my nails. There was a huge bump on my nails that I found to see later that it was cotton they used to clean my nail i told them but they got mad and said it was my fault and that i chipped while going in tube led light. The guy was hurting me when he was cutting my cuticles the nail polish I picked sinful colors #67 PEELED OFF THE SAME NIGHT! So I decided to come back so they can fix it and the lady wanted to charge me again! I tried a different color and AGAIN PEELED OFF THE SAME NIGHT WOW! Very unprofessional and not clean. Spoke with "Rose" on phone and made a special request for a friend of mine who has a physical disability which she said was fine. Then when I called to confirm, she just changed her mind. "I don't want to do anymore!!" Seriously? WTH? If you want to get your nails done there are lots of better spas. Went in for a Mani/Pedi a couple of days ago. I just started working in Vallejo and wanted to find a salon close to work. I won't go back here. The shop is really run-down, and didn't seem very clean. They have a very limited selection of polish colors. The man who did my pedicure cut my toes THREE TIMES! Wow did it hurt. He's lucky he didn't get kicked. Then he cut the corners of my nails back instead of cutting them straight across, which is the recommended way because it helps prevent ingrown nails. He also didn't use a base coat when he applied the polish. The woman that did my manicure was great. I love the way it turned out. She is the reason I gave the salon two stars instead of only one. I wanted gel polish on my fingers. Most salons have color-wheels for you to select your color from, not here. They placed two large boxes of bottles in front of me that had all the gel polish in them. Unlike regular polish, you can't see the colors through the bottles of gel, so I had no idea what the colors looked like. I basically just grabbed one. It turned out to be about the same color as my skin so my nails certainly don't stand out. Will definitely look somewhere else for my "close to work" salon. So disappointed. read more

I wish i Would have Read the reviews before coming to this nailshop because it is HORRIBLE !.Came here on a Thursday to get a Gel manicure and it took the lady 2 hours to do !.I ended up with a color i did Not want because they just hand you a box full of colors that you have No idea what they look like on the nail .My nails chipped the Very next day and since i dont live in Vallejo i had to wait a couple of days to come back up to the shop .I went in on a Monday and talked to a lady named Rose and she got very defensive .Saying i waited too long to come back and she would have to charge me .I Highly recommend NOT coming to this Nailshop Ever !. read more

WARNING!!!! DO NOT COME TO THIS NAIL SHOP!!! I was on my drive back home from a beautiful day in Napa and this nail shop ruined my day! I had a pedicure and they cut my toenails all wrong, especially my big toe. Instead of cutting the toenail straight across, like every nail place I've been to in the past, they cut into the corners of my toenail all the way down into the skin (V-shape on the corners really deep into the skin, I will download a picture). Everyone knows that if you cut your toenails too short, especially the corners it could lead to an ingrown nail! When I tried telling the only lady in the shop who speaks English, Rose, she became defensive and yelled. She couldn't accept her employee's mistake that she had cut too deep, "Everyone likes their nails like this. This is how we do it. You should've told us you didn't like it like that before. If you don't like it, don't come back." Except that the other 2 women who were also getting pedicures in the shop by 2 different employees didn't have their toenails cut like this. Even before I complained, I noticed they were trying to get away with not putting a base coat before applying the color polish, they started with the color polish and then put a top coat. I've never been to a place that skips the base color. Initially, Rose told me that to remove my shellac manicure, it would cost $5, but they charged me $8 and then when I pointed out the inconsistency she said it's because I didn't have a manicure done. She should've said from the beginning it was $8 to remove the shellac without a manicure. I never asked for a manicure! They don't have good variety of polishes and the polishes look old. They don't have good hygiene. The regular nail shop that I go to and love, usually puts a plastic covering over the tub for pedicures and they always use new nail clippers that you see them pull out from a sealed bag. This place did not cover their tubs and I have no idea where their clippers came from or if they had been disinfected before they used it on me. The lady just pulled the clippers straight out of the pocket of her apron. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. TERRIBLE!!! I don't usually write reviews, but I opened an account on yelp just so I could warn others about this place. Don't come here! You might end up with an ingrown toenail or nail fungus! You gotta love Rose even if it's last minute before shop closes she accepts me for eyebrows and pedi. Specially I barely get a day off.

Started out good until they used the cheese grater type tool on the top of my foot and nicked me. Well what I thought was a little nick. Didn't say sorry nothing. So she continues puts the little flip flop type thing they use and o to get my nails done next. By the time I'm done that I look done and the whole top of my foot is covered in blood. Yet not one thing was mentioned about it. Although they were speaking in their language and the lady had a couple diff ppl come over to look at it. So instead of giving me a towel and a band aid she walks away to write up my bill. I had to go to the sink and wet a towel and sit and wipe off a shitload of dried blood on my foot when everyone's staring at me and they're just worried about getting their money from me. And speaking of money they just pull the price out of their ass. They have a price chart yet it's never ever the price that it should be it's always atleast 10 dollars over what it should be so I said something and they just made shit up about why it was that much. You would think they would atleast offer an apology for literally taking a chunk of skin off the top of my foot or atleast a couple dollars off the bill. Nope nothing they are rude as hell! Rose is the only person i let touch my eyebrows. I've been going to her for about 3 years and she has never let me down. Her mom on the other hand.... Oh God never again. This was my first time going here. The pedicure was perfectly fine. The way they do there nails at first pissed me off because the lady was rough, didn't listen and acted as if she didn't want to do my nails. After her rose finished them and they looked good BUT after that someone decided to steal my engagement ring. They couldn't tell me anything, their cameras didn't even have video of who was in the area of the incident. And basically I was just assed out. This is the WORST nail shop I've ever been to!!! Please don't go to it. My friend and I wanted to get mani's and pedi's and I saw the intrigueing sign on their window that says $25 so we decided to go there. Well, we should have known it would be bad because there was only one customer. Well, usually when there's no one at the pedi chairs they usually put two friends next to each other so they can talk. Wrong! They seperated us even though there was room for us to sit next to each other. That was weird. My friend text me that there were flies in there. LOL A hint it must be dirty. The lady who did my pedi and mani took the nippers out of her coat pocket. How sanitary. She was hurting me when she was pushing my cuticles and I told her. She started painting my toes and it looked all streaky and I said I didn't like it. I usually never speak up but this time I did. So she painted some purple color over it. They also don't have a good variety of polishes. I didn't see one O.P.I. color at all. Another silly thing was when my nails were drying she made me dry with infront of a mini fan with no cover. They did a horrible paint job and it lasted like 3 days.Never will I ever go back. I'm shocked they're still open. read more
