Marinated bamboo skewers brushed with yakitori sauce, I had; Bacon Leaks, Meatball, Kielbasa, and Shrimp You get to choose 4 Sticks and it's served over White Rice Drizzled with Yakitori sauce, THE BEST Asian fusion, EVER!!! Hubby had the Kim Chi meatball soup, the meatballs are so huge, it's a big bowl of soup, not for those who aren't hungry! We also, for good measure, got one of the signature SCALLION PANCAKE PIZZA!!! It's Topped with scallion and your choice of the following: * Meat Toppings*: Chicken, Beef, Pepperoni, Salami, Kielbasa, Bacon Bits, Salami * Pizza Toppings Olives, Banana peppers, Jalapenos, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Green Peppers, Red Onion Make sure to get it with the yakatori sauce! I ordered from door dash a few times and I also went inside to pick up my order- so I'll base my reviews on that. I love that it's close by and I can get what I need fast. I love their bubble tea and I love their pepperoni cheese egg rolls! Those are the primary things I get here. I love me a good bubble tea and they have really good flavors (lychee has been my go too lately), and the egg rolls they are delicious! Me and my fiancé went inside to grab 2 bubble teas the other day. There's enough parking which is great, and I believe they have karaoke in the evenings around 9:30pm ( we haven't tried this yet). The owner is very kind and attention. They've always been kind on the phone and in person as well. They only lose one star because the ambiance was a little off. Customers seemed to stare as if we had twenty heads, but the owner didn't act that way. But that's the reason why it lost one star I felt very uncomfortable and out of place. And as much as I loved it on the inside I doubt I would go inside to eat after that weird feeling. read more

I went in as a party of four on a Friday night. There were a couple of tables filled and the bar had five people at it. We were able to sit right away. The owner was the only one working at the time until a waitress came in an hour later. We ordered a half bowl of a grateful dead and my uncle got two mixed drinks. The grateful dead was definitely not made correctly. He said it's normally made with melon liquor and I told him it's supposed to be rasp. liquor. He said that he didn't have Chambord, but could add razzmatazz. The drink tasted like artificial lemon-lime sour mix. Well, he ended up charging us for a shot of razzmatazz so the drink that should have been $17.95 was now 26.95. Strike 1! My uncle, who ordered a Bullet and coke was charged $15 for a 12 ounce solo cup. The drink was strong, but this same drink is 6.95 at the House of Wu, which is in the same area and $7.50 at Bill's Place down the road. When my uncle questioned the price, he told him it cost $9 for the drink and another $6 for a tall. Well...he never asked for a tall, but was still charged for a tall. I'm not sure what is going on here, this has never happened to us here in the past, but it definitely is happening now. Strike 2! We ordered soup, which was good as always and chicken wings that were ordered well done, which I specified twice and he acknowledged. The sauce was great, but the wings were not well done at all. Strike 3! We were there for two hours total, one and half hours to get our food and we were overcharged for our drinks. My drink, maybe, but $15 for a bourbon and coke in West Warwick/Coventry with a sewage odor coming for the bathroom every time the door was opened...not going to happen again on my watch. read more

(This is the most fun review I have ever written and I have not even gone to Karaoke night yet.) This 5-star rating is largely due to the very crave-able food that the owner, Jason Wu, serves! I found his posts on a Facebook neighborhood group and made plans to go. Glad I did. This is a dive-y, low brow spot high on good food, good drinks, and friendly peeps. Amazing combinations. Jason so expertly "fuses" the best of Asian dishes together and comes up with items that other places would only dream of but not dare serve. This is not for the rigid when it comes to trying new things--especially with Asian food. Okay, let's talk scallion pizza crust pizza...am I right? You start not with the usual crust but with the complete food item that is scallion pancake, then top it with steak in sticky sauce and loads of melted cheese. This can go either way--really awful or really good. From a novice, it can be terrible. But here? Goodness, Y-U-M. I also had the wonton udon soup--their wonton is tender and meaty-delicious. I added fish tofu because I can. The Yakitori plate is a good gateway to the yummy Japanese skewered food. The sauce was not too sweet and I liked it. Several times, I regretted sharing my food with my husband (half kidding!). I wanted to order MORE items off the board and menu but that's just being greedy. We did share a bowl of Suffering Bastard--it was my first time to do a bowl drink as I don't like rum. This one has gin, brandy, pineapple juice...it was really good stuff. I am hooked. Go there hungry and review the photos prior so you can order without #FOMO. All looks and sounds good. Parking is ample. Their address is Coventry but really just past the West Warwick line. This is a low brow place with good folks, starting with the owner himself, Jason. No linens on table--in fact a lot are scratched. You go there for a good time and scrumptious food. If you like to sing, this place boasts of a popular Wednesday night Karaoke. It also has a small game room adjacent to the dining area. I saw a dartboard and a game machine. Not sure if there was Pinball but it looks like the kind of place that might. Just writing this is making me hungry again. I cannot wait to go back. I eyeball their online menu a lot. I am almost disappointed that they are closed on Sundays. Anyhoo, we really like the food in this place so if you believe an iota of what I say here, give it a try! read more

Ambiance: lowkey anime themed. Wednesday was playing on the tv, instead of sports, loved that. Has its own parking lot. Various type of accommodating seating. Service: wait times were a bit longer than we expected, it wasn't too busy until after we ordered our food. However, there was one person handling the bar and tables. Food: the yakitori steak and kielbasa were really good. I also liked the rice. Everything is scallion heavy, so if you don't like scallions, there's a heads up for you. When you walk in the place it's packed with awesome memorabilia from movies and anime. If you're a nerd like me, it'll sing to your soul. Jason greets you warmly and makes you feel right at home. When he hands you the menu and you see what's on the boards for specials your mind will be blown and your tastebuds will immediately light up! We started off with some incredible apps and then got the Crispy Beef Scallion Pancake Pizza and the Corned Beef Scallion Pancake Pizza (cuz ya know... it is St Pat's weekend! ) Holy shyte! Every bite is a flavorful crispy bite of paradise! Who needs traditional dough when you can have a crispy flavorful base of Asian awesome?! This puts traditional bar pizza on the back burner for sure. It's not small like a traditional scallion pancake. They make em and serve them bar pizza sized. The cheese is melty ooey gooey savoriness. They don't skimp with the toppings and the flavor combos are fantastic. I see people talking about the "flop" and I can assure you there is no "flop" here. It stands at FULL attention and delivers a flovorable bite every time. BONUS... grab yourself a fishbowl! So good and not overly sweet. I've had this place on my list for a while and I was glad to find an excuse to come visit. The Asian Fusion with hometown pizza fare is such an interesting concept. The place has a dive bar feel with simple tables and chairs. The decor / ambiance leaves a little to be desired. But the food was good and so was the service. Our table ordered Pineapple Passion drinks (delicious), a few apps and a few entrees. The wings are really superb; dill pickle dry rub and the special sauce. Flavorful, crispy without being breaded, and a bit spicy. Would recommend. We also got the kimchi potstickers. They were good but not overly flavorful. We also had udon noodle soup in the kimchi broth. Good but not great. The broth was fantastic but it didn't have many noodles or any other ingredients. Our party also had a burger (one person loved it, the other didn't at all) and a scallion pancake pizza, which I had a bite of, and it was super yummy. I'd go back for the wings and to try a few more dishes. I did not love the single use utensils at all. For the price it's a great spot. read more

Hadn't been back in a few months and wanted to try a new place for dinner so I decided on Jw's. Sat down on a Monday night it was quiet and very chill. I started off with the "banana and 2 coconuts" fish bowl for 2 and it was AMAZING!!! Jay knows how to mix a drink. Tasted awesome, mixed perfectly and I'm all about presentation. Served in a huge fish bowl type bowl with a nice heap or Swedish fish candy on top. So cute, visually appealing AF I loved it. Can't wait to try some other flavors. For food I got a BLT and fries which was delicious. Fries came out super hot and crispy just how I like em. BLT was on point. My bf ordered a burger he was very satisfied as well. Jay was perfectly attentive without being pushy or leaving you hanging. Overall great food, drinks and service all around. That's hard to come by these days. The inside is always clean with a nice spacious bathroom. Very mellow laid back crowd everyone keeps to themselves and just hangs. Looking forward to my next visit to JW's :-) read more

Bargain Stumbled upon this spot when trying to go to the now defunct Come Along Inn (Sad). We walk in not knowing what to expect. Apparently this is a Asian Restaurant and Bar. Wouldn't know by the name. Well, we were pleasantly surprised when you see a vast array of Polynesian drinks and cheap app items. They have daily specials as well. They pour a strong drink and the apps are pretty good. We had the bacon wrapped chicken and sauced tater tots. Pretty damn good for 12 bucks. Add a 10 dollar scorpion bowl for 2 and you can't get a better value. Looks are deceiving! My husband son and I were driving around last minute looking for someplace to eat. He quickly googled Chinese because that's what I was craving last night being almost 7 months pregnant. We walked into a quaint dive bar with anime and superhero pictures on the walls. I was delighted to see the yakitori menu along with some American food. We had the garlic shrimp, mussels and an array of yakitori and rice. My husband had the beef teriyaki sandwich which he said was amazing. The thing that impressed and stood out to me the most is I'm gluten free and the owner went ABOVE and beyond to makesure everything was gluten free for me with what I ordered and he was so sweet to also explain everything that he made sure it was gluten free. I am always in here on the weekends scarfing down some pot stickers, crab rangoon rolls, or other goodies from the appetizer menu. It's quickly becoming a favorite place where the bartender knows my name. This spot has KARAOKE 7 days a week after 9pm or so. Friday and Saturdays seem to be pretty happening but I have popped in mid week to find a good crowd too. THE DRINKS are all pretty awesome. There are lots of different fishbowl drinks and scorpion bowls as well as your regular jack and coke or shot of patron. The prices are also good, no price gouging here in my opinion. Uh wow. What a pleasant surprise! My partner and I had a coupon deal book and decided to try JWs pub after seeing their 'free cheese scallion pancake pizza' offer. We had never been and luckily this coupon was offered to take out customers as well so I went on their website and found so many categories of food. I wanted to stick to comforting asian food so we added to the order Garlic shrimp, bacon/leek yakitori, steak/chicken yakitori and mushroom yakitori. Oh! We also shared a 'build your own soup' with ramen, chicken broth and the most delicate shrimp! You can definitely tell the ingredients are fresh and the yakitori was ALL outstanding, even through takeout. Atmosphere is pretty standard for a pub, bar area and tables. Nothing to write home about. Service was good, but it was a slow Sunday night so hard to judge. The food was the big wow moment for us. The wings were good, nice and crispy like we prefer them. The fusion dishes were fantastic! Kielbasa yakitori? Delicious! Shrimp salad with peanut oil dressing, delish. Udon noodle soup with kielbasa, mouth watering. Wonton soup Hong Kong style, excellent, loved the broth. Conclusion, we will definitely be back. I have driven by this place many times but had no reason to stop until the food fights chicken wing challenge. They have several different flavors of wings and I asked the server, John who by the way was excellent, what he would recommend. He said that the sticky wings were popular and that they had a bacon salt barbecue dry rub that was not on the menu. So we tried the barbecue and a yakitori reduction wing. I absolutely loved the barbecue wings. They tasted like barbecue chips as John said they would. The yakitori wings were like a sticky wing but not as flavorful. Good but not my favorite. Then we tried the wonton soup and the beef and cabbage roll which were OK. I was adventurous so I tried one of their scallion pancake pizzas. Such a different idea and I knew that I needed to find out how good this was. I ordered just the cheese which came with the Yakitori sauce on top. The scallion pancake was absolutely delicious and it was loaded with cheese and drizzled with sauce. Now it's the next day and I'm still wondering if I loved it. I could only eat 2 small pieces because it is so rich and I love all the components but I'm still not sure if I love them all together. Nice place to enjoy some Asian cuisine with a twist. Many of the dishes are straight forward but the chefs have put some inventive twists on the menu that make this place different from your stock Chinese restaurant.
