Flatbread pizza with arugula, tomatoes and balsamic - without the marinara- delicious!

It took me my second stop in here to finally realize it's the old Corner Pockets! Located on a very busy intersection in Johnston (Hartford Ave. & Atwood Ave.) this place is perfect for after work drinks and apps. They have specials throughout the week, both menu and event - there is country line dancing on Tuesday nights and the place packs out. The ambience is pretty contemporary with the blue lighting and black decor. The bartenders are very friendly and there's even a spinny wheel to win things such as free drinks or appetizers. The food is pretty good too, definitely get the Ave fries as they have garlic and Parmesan as well as a bit of a kick to them. The flat breads are great as they don't feel as heavy as pizza, and I love the wings - the maple ones are my favorite. Definitely make sure to check this place out if you are looking for a bar / hangout spot especially after work.

Owner kicked me out 14 degrees outside because I called the pd for a lockout after aaa said 530 am n Uber cancelled 3 rimes! I started this at 1130 pm He needed another n said pd are his friends nice try have a nice night! Leave!

The vibes are immaculate, Bruce is the best and makes the Silliest drinks. Weekly line dancing nights? DJs? pretzel balls??!?!!? we go over 2 bridges to get here, and we'd gladly cross 200 more!!!!

Easy lighting on the eyes and fun music in the background! Great bar seating! Service was welcoming, helpful, friendly and outstanding! I asked questions about the seafood options and landed on the grilled octopus. Fantastic! The perfect kiss of spice, cooked perfectly and the cucumber salad was the balance that gave the dish just what it needed. I also got the blueberry margarita - not too sweet but exceptionally delicious! We will be back for sure! I'm angry with myself that I realized I didn't snap any pics so gosh, darn it!! They have specials almost every day & on Thursday, it is buy a pizza & get one 50% off, $5 red or white sangria. So that's what we did! Hubby was in the mood for an appetizer & he selected the calamari alla mama with sauteed garlic, tomatoes, hot peppers over a bed of arugula & a side of marinara. I didn't love the calamari rings so I had several & let him go to town on the dish. He very much enjoyed all the garlic & hot peppers, especially with it dousing the arugula underneath. He literally ate every bite! Hubby wanted a meat pizza so he selected the classic cheese with the pepperoni add-on. I opted for the prosciutto & arugula. Both were delicious! The crust was super thin & crispy, the toppings went all the way to the edge. If I was going to nitpick, it would only be to say that we love our pepperoni with a little char & some cupping action. Hubby opted for a Peroni & I went with the red sangria (no ice). Both were delightful! We had a rotating cast of servers & all of them were lovely. The bar was pretty empty when we got there around 5:15pm but when we left, every seat was taken. Very nice evening out!

Lots of retro decor (think Slimer from Ghostbusters, Hulk Hogan pillow buddies, etc). The walls are lined with arcade games... bring your quarters! Whole variety of seating, from tables and chairs to circular booths, and the like. The perfect space to settle in for a bit, especially on a rainy weekend evening. We were greeted immediately and provided with a number of menus... and what a menu! Lots of comfort food options ranging from apps to entrees, and a number of sandwiches and burgers. I was vacillating between the hot dogs and a couple of the chicken sandwich's and ultimately selected the Cool Ranch Ray with grilled chicken, cheddar, bacon, and Ranch dressing. It was delicious! Unfortunately, the fries left something to be desired as they were fairly dried out and a bit tough to get down. Perhaps a bit less time in the fryer could have fixed that. Dessert was a nice cap to the meal with Nutella empanadas. Yum! PB & Jealous drink... divine. Our waiter Chris was moving and grooving... never seeming to stop for a second and always finding time to check in with us. Pretty certain he was behind the bar AND waiting tables and kept up with it all. Bravo! Fun evening, great food. Will definitely be back.

A fried chicken sandwich with different toppings options, chicken fingers, and wings. No grilled chicken options, fried chicken on a salad (that's not a salad), and just as many burger options as chicken. Fried chicken boneless wings, which are the same as half cut chicken tenders and fried chicken sliders (which is basically a small fried chicken sandwich). As for the fried chicken sandwiches we ordered, 6 out of 10. A bit greasy and the a bun that's a bit too bready. Removed half the bun to eat. We also had wings, they were pretty good. Fried right, good sauce. Bright spot here was the service, server and bartender were very friendly and attentive. It was Friday night at 6:30 and it was slow. I think the issue here is that if you don't want a fried chicken sandwich or a burger you're gonna go elsewhere. Really need to evaluate the menu. Local business and I hope it does well, but there are things to fix here. Try it and formulate your own opinion. Thanks

I like their tequila and gin drinks - they usually ask if you want a single or double shot for your cocktail. Their slider selection is good too- each other comes with two and you can add an additional one for an up charge. I like their " big mac " sliders with a side of waffle fries, but their shoe string fries are also tasty. They also have shareable " fish bowl " cocktails for 2 - 5 people, and I like the " Shark Attack " - you get a rubber ducky and candy on the bottom! They also have desserts - churros, smores, & fried oreos. So delicious and good portion. The outdoor patio is nice to sit at for large parties, but there's a good amount of seating inside as well. The staff are also really nice, and service is quick and attentive - even on a busy night. Wish there were more spots like this in RI!!

The building is smallish and located on a corner. A small parking lot is located on busy Hartford Ave, with a building entrance on that side that leads into the first of two bar areas. Also, a huge outdoor seating area, under a tent runs along one side of this parking area. So they have lots of room to enjoy a summer evening outside. We arrived late afternoon between meal times. The bar was full except for two seats. Other than the bar, the tables and booths in this area were empty (the other bar was not staffed at this hour). We like sitting at the bar and talking with the regulars. We learn so much about the area this way. Even in our own state! The majority of our bar-mates and the bartender were very friendly and we had some lively conversations. The building itself is old and much of the original dark wood remains along with a big fireplace. The ladies room is right at the end of the bar, is small and older and everything works. Full bar, beer on tap or in cans and wine. They have a nice bar-food menu. I chose sweet potato fries as my side while my dining companion chose regular fries. Both were good, as were our sandwiches (au jus and Big bird) Good quality and tasty. The booths began to fill as we were leaving and the barkeep was also their waitress, so she has a big area to cover. The regulars are very well known to each other and the staff so if you sit at the bar you may feel like the 'odd man out'. We enjoyed our visit and plan to return to try some of their other food offerings.
