The menu said they were smoked before they were fried, but outside of the generous amount of bacon bits that were part of the glaze, I didn't get much smoke in the meat itself. Otherwise, we liked the glaze. The fries are the more expensive, clear coat kind that hold their crisp longer, which I appreciate. They were great plain or with ketchup. The pretzel was warm and perfectly soft. The beer cheese that came with it was excellent. And the blue cheese dressing was as well that we got with the wings. It had a great blue cheese flavor without giant chunks of cheese. They also offer pizza and a number of handhelds that all looked interesting, so I'll have to come back soon when the full kitchen is open!

I didn't love the little container of cole slaw but I am a very picky cole slaw eater, hubby liked it. The second round, you get a half size piece of fish with or without chips. YUM! Hubby did a second & third round of fish. When other restaurants are serving fish & chips for close to $20, this is a steal! And we loved everything about it. Delicious as is but bartender there suggested and I fell in love with the veg patty itself with the preparation the Fire In The Hole burger instead. So flavorful. Veggie patty is crispy and filled with fresh veggies that still keep a crunch. We each got a beer too, and while the first round came out a little flat, the bartender immediately replaced them without hesitation and made sure our water glasses stayed full all night. The owner is very kind and attention. They've always been kind on the phone and in person as well. They only lose one star because the ambiance was a little off. Customers seemed to stare as if we had twenty heads, but the owner didn't act that way. But that's the reason why it lost one star I felt very uncomfortable and out of place. And as much as I loved it on the inside I doubt I would go inside to eat after that weird feeling.
