So I came to my hometown and I had no idea where to get the best wings anymore. I was snooping around Yelp and came across Bangin wings. I read the rave reviews , I like the flavors they offered and the prices seemed reasonable. I called the restaurant and the customer service was great. I don't know who answered the phone but he was helpful and that familiar Rhode Island accent made me happy. When I got there it was a small little place and Johnston not too far from the North Providence /Providence line. There was a woman in line and she went on and on about how amazing this place was. She should really be on payroll. Her advertising was spot-on. She told me about the owner and how she and her husband have a unhealthily addiction to the wings. She was cool. Anyways, the wings were really really good. I tried four flavors and I can't decide which one I like best. So I'll be back every time I visit my hometown. My only issue is that I think 1 or 2 blue cheeses should be included in the wing price for maybe 6-8 wings. I would gladly buy more after that. Two little cups just isn't enough for 18 wings. This alone guaranteed my return patronage, but the food? Let me tell you, to say this was some of the best chicken I've ever had in my life was an understatement. We tried the flavors. The Bangbang Wings ( honey mustard) and Buffalo were both fantastic. The Roman Hot is based off of my favorite flavor, garlic Parmesan, just kicked up a bit. I have never tasted a better version of this flavor. It is to be the benchmark all garlic Parmesan is now judged against going forward. Family owned business for starters the customer service off the bat fantastic. Not only did the gentleman help me decide being a first timer what to get but was also very informative. Even if you took away all the amazing sauces that they serve and made them serve only plain items their wings were juicy and hot Mac was delicious and real creamy. My first time going I got the banging sauce barbecue jerk sauce and the Henny sauce all of them fire. My husband is always looking to try a new chicken wing spot, and I'm so glad he convinced me to come here. We walked in and the sauce options were Great to choose from and there were so many. The owner was very friendly. And the wings were very meaty and delicious. I love the fact that they were. I love the fact that they were Baked and then fried with no breading. He got the orange ginger wings and I got bbq jerk. AMAZING!! mine had the perfect blend of bbq and kick. The fries are seasoned and came out piping hot. I would recommend coming here for lunch since alot of his home made sides sell out quick so we'll definitely be back earlier in the day to get the mac n cheese.
