Much different vibe than Smithfield location. Crappy music. Disgusting dirty place. Condiments empty and greasy. Tables and floors sticky. Food on floor, tables had a crayon used as a shim to keep from wobbling. It even smelled like a greasy old friendlys. I watched someone clear 2 tables and not wipe them down (he apologized and wiped them down after). I canceled my food order and paid for my two sodas. They were very nice about it, so extra star for not being rude to me but the owner really needs to have this place deep cleaned and make some updates. I remember coming here to the grand opening and really loving it here. We often visit the one in Smithfield and it's clean and food always delicious. Walking in, it's your typical bar environment- friendly staff. The portions are large and you can get multiple meals out of one sandwich. We went to the new NK location. The place is pretty neat inside, music a tad on the loud side. Food pretty good. We enjoyed the burgers. Wife got a pizza, and it was ok. Son got the fried chicken platter and the chicken was a little dry. But given this is a new place and they have to work out some kinks, I would still recommend. We were in town for a basketball tournament and was looking for a place that could accommodate about 15 of us dropping in. A lot of establishments gave us a quick no due to lack of a reservation/wait staff availability without warning, but Thirsty Beaver welcomed us without hesitation. Parking was easy, as they had a private lot. They have a great menu that met the needs of all ages, including everything from a kids menu to some fun adult beverages. My family tried the bacon mac n cheese, wings, and fried pickles. All of them were great! A friend ordered a pizza and was surprised at the generous sizing. Two people could have easily shared it. Even with us being a large group drop in, our waitress didn't seemed frazzled at all. She was on top of getting refills and checking in on us. In the end, she even split the bills up by family, with no issues whatsoever. We had a great time and would gladly return if in the area again. read more

Gonna give this place a solid 4 stars and if I could do 4.5 I would! Came in on a Monday night for dinner with my sister during March 2021 (still covid). The staff was friendly but did not specifically distance us from anyone else. The waiter didn't tell us his name but was attentive. They didn't give us utensils until after we ordered which made sense during covid but it also meant we didn't have any napkins even for a spilled drink. Ordered the "a little brown sugar" (brown sugar bourbon and hot apple cider) drink and my sister ordered something that came over red. My drink was awesome and totally hit the spot! Then I checked in and realized they give away a free "beaver shot" which they called the "green tea shot" which was Jameson, peach tree and sour mix and went down really nicely! I had the burger which was lovely. My sister got the mac and cheese. It was a huge serving size! For dessert I got the churros and they were ehhhh something about them was very heavy. Most of the other churros I've had were light and fluffy these were just off a little. Still tasty but not best ever. Stopped in during the #bestwingsri food fight. I went with the house suggested sriracha maple brown sugar wings. The wings were well prepared and the sauce they recommended was great. The basket had a pool of the sauce which made for great dipping between bites. The overall menu looks great. Serving staff was great and the bar was full for the Pats game. Called ahead to ask about the GF fish sandwich because they don't have a single bit of description under any menu item on grub hub to hint at what it is. Guy said it was both battered/fried and GF. We then confirmed this TWICE before hanging up to order. Once it got here it wasn't fried nor battered. We called again and he said we ordered incorrectly. If we had to do something special why not say so when we called? He said he thought we'd call back and order through him. Ok. This was the first time I've visited the Thirsty Beaver in Cranston, but I've been to the location in Johnston a few times. I was surprised by how many tables there were available, but that's probably because it was 5:00 on a Wednesday. Not really a big going out to eat time I guess. The service was prompt and the food was very good. I had a buffalo chicken wrap with fries. It was a l lot of food so I was able to bring leftovers home to have for another meal. Excellent use of the space they have. love that they can open up the main dining garage door for outdoor seating during the nice weather once. if you sit near the doors during the winter months dress appropriately though because you'll definitely feel a draft. They have a large food and drink menu with reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and the service we received was prompt. I was thrilled to see that they carried Yuengling Black and Tan. I had very high hopes for the new north kingstown location. Having watched this restaurant being built for the past year brought hope to an area with no food options. I got a pepperoni pizza and when I was handed the box I thought they forgot to put the pizza in it. Very small thin crust that shifted around in the box on the ride home. I hate being that type of guy to leave a bad review but the pizza was almost as if it was frozen. Just wanted to grab something quick to try from the place at halftime. The pizza was 14 dollars. Great!!! Bar food with excellent service in a casual environment. Went for a business lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. I ordered one of their many choices of burgers. I asked for it to be served without the bun and chose a side salad instead of fries. I love having that choice to begin with but I was very happy when my burger was served with two pieces of lettuce in place of the bun and was delighted that the croutons were served in a separate cup outside of the salad. I have never had a restaurant anticipate that I was eating low carb and accommodate that while leaving me the choice. Very thoughtful and besides that the burger was delicious!! I REALLY wish I could open my own Thirsty Beaver in Orlando! This was by far my favorite place to go to while on vacation! The staff here is amazing. Lauren made us feel like we had known her for years and definitely made our trip memorable! The food here is awesome! I had the Mac Attack log rolls my first visit which are egg rolls deep fried with mac n' cheese and bbq pulled pork inside. My second visit I had a pizza special called Brady's Back that consisted of turkey, avacado, tomato, bacon, cajun ranch and cheese! So delicious! They have a full bar and a great selection of craft beer on tap with ice cold glasses! I loved the laid back atmosphere! The place looks like a cabin and had a large bar inside with a bunch of tables and chairs as well and also offers patio seating which would be great on a nice day. We were always there during the day on a week day, but I did see that there are a bunch of events that go on at night such as trivia!
