Giving a 1 star just because it is worth it. Me and my family went to celebrate my birthday. We spent $1100 dollars! We spent $960 on shots and $150 on food. We were told we are over our liquor limit. We were actually sober but who cares we paid the tab after speaking to the manager. The "bodyguard" who is a young 20 year old kid came up to our table and said "are you guys going to pay the tab". We had already paid the tab with our waitress (Angel) but yet we were questioned. We asked the "bodyguard" what the attitude was for, he didn't respond. Our waitress comes out and ask if everything was okay. We told her what happened. Our waitress ( Angel) said "you spent $1100 but can only right $20 tip, you guys don't belong here.....we gave the girl another $200 so she came up on $220 but yet said "I DONT NEED YALL LAME MONEY". We are colored humans and we were disrespected at this restaurant! The manager just said " I will speak to them". I refuse to go here and disrespected by bunch of teenagers who don't realize they are serving to actual business owners. If the owner sees this, he may comment and take my # to speak! read more

Party of three (3), multiple open tables, told we would have to wait 20 to 30 minutes because "we can't seat you at a bigger table"...WTF! Beautiful inside and out. Love the decor and "feel" of this place. Loved sitting outside! Tracy needs this kind of place badly! Drinks were good, no problems there. Just a few things to work on... #1 service is incredibly slow. We were there over 2 hours. We would have had another round if our waitress came more to our table. #2 My halibut tasted like it had freezer burn in a few places. #3 Please serve your calamari with an aioli sauce in addition to cocktail sauce. Also,the olives were cool... loved the red peppers but they (olives) are so salty even paired with the calamari and peppers. I was not a fan of the combo and I love olives. Artichoke hearts would be much better or even pepronchinis. Husbands steak was delicious. Risotto was good. Our little baby girl loved my risotto and the part of the halibut that I ate! I personally, loved the vegetables (kale and zucchini) that were served. I really hope these minor things can be fixed. We will definitely be back despite them! read more

Came for dinner on Thursday night. The restraunt was busy but not packed. There were many open tables when we came. We were not acknowledged by the multiple staff members that walked by us, at the empty hostess desk, for a good 10 minutes. When we asked for a table to be seated, 2 adults and a highchair for my son, we were told they did not have a high chair or a booster chair. We asked the hostess to sit us at a booth chair where my 2yo would be better suited. We were refused seating at a booth table because she said we didnt have enough people to be seated there. We were excited to try out a new Tracy establishment but they rather turn us away then seat us at a booth table. Very disappointed read more

This is my 3rd times going to this restaurant and I am officially banning this restaurant. Their servers are great and friendly. That's really the plus. However their food takes forever (at least 30 mins or more) to get to you. Tracy has very limited amount of restaurants we don't have many choices So they may get away with this making customers to wait forever however I will never go to this restaurant ever again. When I order my steak salad and it took over for 30 minutes to get on my table then after I feel like i am a dog getting feed. They charge $17 per very thin sliced meat and Gigantic amount of salads which I felt like I'm a dog fed by the dog food. The salad amount was like 3 pounds we should've not being feed it like that. We're not a dog we are customers it was insulting amount of gigantic plate. I'm addition to this poor serving salads for a lot of money to charge they should be making their own dressing. Their dressing was the store brand kens dressing no thanks. Finally they shouldn't be taking 30 minutes or more during lunchtime to serve food like this. I was very disappointed. Ok so great atmosphere....however... lunch they apparently only have 1 menu item. Sausage. Also both lunch and dinner i had SUPER SLOW service. For lunch the hostess seated us outside. Only 3 other tables. Took 20 min for the waitress to come take our order during which she told us we were getting sausage because thats all they served. She didnt take drink order, i had to remind her. She brought the food and no drinks. Then i had to ask for condiments. Then i had to ask for a napkin and silverware. Its like she never served a table before. Then i came back another time for drinks during dinner hour. 25 min before a waitress came over. 15 min wait for my wine and my fiances mix drink. Mix drink tasted like it had no alcohol. Overall not impressed. read more

Thirty minutes to get a beer (at a table) and over an hour more for a burger (was told the half chicken takes so long they almost removed it from the menu). No thanks! This restaurant wants to be the "hip new joint" but falls way short with a limited beer and wine selection, a small boring menu and SLOW service. We ended up getting our food to go in order to catch our movie even though we were at the table for an hour and a half. Perhaps they'll get the issues resolved after being open for a while but I don't plan to come back anytime soon. read more

Had some friends come over the hill from San Ramon and Union city. Wasn't sure where to eat but knew it was going to be Downtown somewhere. Since I work Downtown I've asked a few people about this place. Mixed reviews, but decided to give it a shot and can I say AMAZING!! Everything from our drinks to our entrees was delish! We ordered the loaded tots, salt and pepper wings and calamari for starters. Yum! Entrees were the burger, halibut and Rib eye. The burger was a little overcooked but still good. The halibut and rib eye were perfect! It's Saturday night so it was busy and loud but in a good way. Service was good too. Glad to see a new downtown restaurant be so busy. Skip it!! This place has potential, but the service sucks. You can expect to wait 30 minutes just to get your first drink on the table, and an hour for an appetizer. The place was not busy at all. When I was trying to get a refill on my drink our waitress seemed to purposely not make eye contact while walking by our table. We had to go wave down other servers to please get some service. Drinks from the bar took at least 15 minutes each round. Prepare yourself to sit there anxiously awaiting something that never comes. The food was decent, but the wait staff ruined it for us! I was really excited for this place to open, and I'm pretty disappointed. The service was terrible. Our waitress checked on us once after 45 minutes. It took over an hour for a starter salad to come out, which consisted of lettuce with a few tomatoes and dressing on the side. We waited over an hour and a half for our food. They are usually very good. Tonight we went there with a party of 3. The place half empty. We don't have a table for 3 but you can sit outside. We have to save these tables for 4 or more people. So we go outside and sit at a table. Oh you can't sit here either this is for 4 or more but you can sit here in the tent on the street. Mind you there were only 3 people sitting outside at another table. So we left. So if you have only 3 people in your party you probably won't get a table. We've been here twice with each time food was lacking and yet you'd never know it as any given time especially weekends they're busy. Our first time, all three of us ordered a meal two arrived at the same time with the third upwards of 10-15 minutes late as apparently the third order wasn't turned into the kitchen. Oops! Time #2 was yesterday, again ordered three meals two that were the tomato soup & grilled cheese. Us tomato soup lovers were looking forward to this. Severely disappointed, by far the worst tomato soup ever had. The soup had a gelatinous consistency that was wrong in so many ways, the topping was chopped basil leaves I think that when mixed into the soup became a gooey mess. Grilled cheese though it may have looked wonderful on what appeared as toasted golden brown sourdough bread the cheese lacked flavor, lacked the appearance of being truly melted. It was sad, Nations makes a better grilled cheese. Now the chicken strips nothing to complain about and their drinks also no issue but some of the food they need to improve upon. Hopefully they do as Tracy is limited on good restaurants & has even fewer restaurants that open to the outdoors which this place scores on that aspect. read more

Went to try this place out on Saturday night with my wife, and boy was i glad we did. We have been trying to get a night out for a decent dinner somewhere new. I've seen the Yelp! reviews and wanted to try the place out. My wife had a pasta dish with fresh vegetables from the Farmer's Market earlier in the day, and I had the Halibut. Visited in early and late summer of 2021 and I'm just getting around to catching up on my Yelp reviews. Neither visit was inspiring. The early summer visit was with another couple. We were seated at a high-top table, directly next to the kitchen service window. All meal long, we were accosted by some nauseating smells coming out of the kitchen, along with a high amount of traffic for staff and people heading to the bathroom. The food was slightly below average. The draft beer was warm. On top of that, being so close to the bar, I was able to witness the bartender devote 90% of her focus to being on her cell phone. The late summer visit was with a larger group (with reservation). My wife and I arrived first and were told the table wouldn't be ready for 20 minutes. We hoped to go get a drink at the bar but that was rejected by the hostess. I get that there are limitations due to COVID but to refuse to allow us to get a drink during the wait BECAUSE we had a table is just flat out bad service with no grasp of customer service in hospitality. So we decided to go over to the bourbon bar around the corner. As soon as we arrived at that bar (less than 5min walk), we received a text that the table is ready. I guess it WASN'T 20 minutes to get the table ready... Either way, we weren't able to get a cocktail and patronize either bar with high-margin cocktails. For the meal, I ordered fish & chips and was given ONE foil packet of tartar sauce and no silverware. One. Since the waitress did not return after dropping off the food, I had to go find the hostess station, obtain utensils for my wife and I, and root around to find PACKETS of tartar sauce, not an actual bottle of tartar sauce. This service was only topped by not refilling water and waiting until cocktail glasses were completely empty before asking in another one was desired. Based on these most recent visits, my conclusion is that the restaurant is not well managed, or at least managed by someone who has never managed a restaurant before. These things point to a lack of training or holding servers accountable, as well as not paying attention to the details of the business (warm beer, packets of condiments, etc.). I know the site is redecorating/retooling under the guise of repairing the floors so I hope they come out the side improved, where the staff gets the training and accountability they need and the manager is more in tune with the desires of customers so they have a shot at "Best of Tracy" in the future. read more

Had Juniors for the first time today for lunch and it was delicious! First, lemon pepper wings- BOMB! Crispy and seasoned! Hella good, not a lot of places pull off a good crispy wing app! Rest of the group ordered other apps and all were very tasty! Very nice atmosphere, covid friendly during these crazy times, and music was perfect on a chill Sunday. Awesome service as well! Entree was delicious! Kept it simple with their 939 turkey club sandwhich and fries. Great portions! Will be back for sure! read more

We need more establishments like this in Tracy! Nikki, our waitress was outstanding. Drinks were good and stiff! Pretzel Appetizer was magnificent. My husband had the New York Steak. I had the Ribeye. Seriously the best steak we have had at a restaurant. The reason for only four stars....it took waaaayy too long to get our dinner. I ordered mine with Marbled potatoes. I got literally 4 pieces of a very small red potato. For the price they need to change that. They are new and I am sure they are still working out the kinks. We will be back. read more

My wife's chicken was extremely dry and there was nothing about the meal (overall) that would standout from a church potluck. It should have been less than half the price for what we got. So glad we got another spot out here in Tracy downtown! I like the atmosphere and the curbside seating. We got pretzel bites and they were delicious but the beer batter cheese was horrible unfortunately. I don't know if somebody screwed it up or if it's always that bad. I was disappointed that they only had IPAs on tap, no pale ale, no red ale or no Pilsner, ended up drinking a bottle of Modelo, meh. If you guys get some other beers on tap or at least in the bottle, I would love to come back and try some more food and make this one of our regular spots. We finally tried Juniors a few months ago. I had the Halibut which was really good. My husband had the fish and chips. I thought it was pretty good too. The next time, I ordered the burger and hubby had the club. I meant to only eat half the burger but I ate every bite! It was one of the best I've ever had. Hubby liked his sandwich a lot. A few days ago we went and hubby had the Carbonara pasta. It could be seasoned a little more but it was good. I had the Marsala chicken and I could not taste the wine. The sauce was a creamy mushroom sauce and while it was tasty, I didn't think it was "marsala". I kind of thought the chicken was a little odd, like maybe it had been boiled before grilling? But it was still good, the texture just threw me off. I like the restaurant and the servers are all very nice. We got the food fast and hot and I'll keep going back trying other things until I find my dish! It might just be that amazing burger! Negative stars if I could. This review is for the general manager. He really does not know customer service. As we were waiting for a table, we decided to grab drinks at the bar, when we came back to the table when it was ready, the general manager approached me and jumped down my throat because they don't do bar service. Apparently we walked by the sign that says please wait to be seated, just like all restaurants have but that usually doesn't mean that you can't sit at the bar. Instead of using this moment as a teaching moment he was verbally abusive. The waitress was very kind and apologized on his behalf but it was unacceptable. We were pretty upset and flagged him down to try and tell him we all work in the industry and he could have went about it a different way but he is so cocky that he wouldn't even let me get a sentence out before cutting me off, wouldn't listen to me. Then he just said he will comp our drinks and appetizers and we can leave because we said we would not be back. I asked for a card to speak to the owners and he laughed in my face and said the card has his number on it and I'll just use it to talk bad about him, I'm in complete shock by the fact hole situation. General manager needs to be fired! Staff is great, food is probably good but I will not go somewhere where I will be verbally abused by a man who is clearly trying to compensate for something. This place has received a few mixed reviews but I honestly don't have a single complaint. Yes the menu was limited but they are starting out and it says right on the menu that more items will be added. What they did have on the menu was all outstanding and I enjoyed every bite. They were busy but the wait wasn't on par with similar establishments. The appetizers were very good, loved the tots. Steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Everyone who worked there gets 5 stars, especially our server. I wish I could remember her name but she was a brunette with tattoos. She was fantastic. Checked on us frequently and was very friendly. If I could put zero stars, I would. I went here a few weeks ago on Saturday for dinner and the food and service from my server was great, (can't remember her name but she was wonderful) but the one thing that turned me off was the manager. I came here once before and I recognized him but he had not said anything to me then but when I saw him on Saturday I did not want to come back. He was rude to other customers and giving people attitude. He was also passive aggressive with his workers. I used to work in the food service industry and I know that it can be busy and managers can get stressed out but there was no need for him to be as rude as he was especially on such a busy night. The food and service was great but his attitude just turned me off. Get a better manager. read more
