Calamari
Nicole M.

I went to Junior's tonight because it was Friday. I wanted to try the clam chowder. I rounded out my meal with the calamari a virgin mojito. The calamari there is served in sticks instead of the usual rings. It was creamy and lightly battered. I loved both dipping sauces. The pickle aioli was good, but the red bell pepper aioli was slightly spicy and absolutely delicious. Adding a squeeze of lemon made it a perfect bite. The chowder was fine. Having just had another chowder the day before that was richer and thicker, made this one seem lacking. It wasn't. But I don't think I would make a special trip for it. Service was good. The restaurant is welcoming. Not a bad option for a Friday dinner.

Shrimp scampi pasta with literally 5 pieces of shrimp. Why even call it shrimp scampi?

We come here on occasion and wanted to try something different. I ordered the shrimp scampi pasta and there was literally 5 pieces of shrimp. Why even call it shrimp scampi pasta? Very disappointed for a $27 dollar meal that was basically pasta. It also tasted way too zesty. My daughter ordered the kids grilled cheese and the cheese was not melted. Another disappointment. We will not be coming here again and will go down the street to Chapter 2 where they have awesome shrimp scampi with good portions of shrimp and a melted grilled cheese. After I posted my original post, the manager or who appeared to be the manager came to our table. She approached our table with a snarky attitude and did not bother to introduce herself. It's almost like she came charging in and ready to fire off any response. She automatically offered to take my daughter's meal off which I told her she did not have to. Her response to the amount of shrimp and the cost was that's what we have always done and that's the cost of food now. Her total approach and attitude was very off putting. Even though the dinner was discounted ($10 grilled cheese), we will not be returning.

Garlic Parmesan Tots
Sophia H.

I came here for the first time recently with my family and bf. I was pleasantly surprised to see how spacious the restaurant was when I stepped inside. When we arrived, we were greeted by staff members and seated within a couple of minutes. For starters, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Tots and Clam Chowder to share. The tots were crispy and yummy, but I did wish that there was a bit more garlic and parmesan. The clam chowder was okay - not the best I've ever had. For my main entree, I ordered the Cheese Tortellini with Chicken. Overall, it was good. The chicken was moist and not dry. The creamy pesto sauce was tasty. However, the breadsticks were very doughy tasting and too soft. When everyone's entrees came out, I was shocked at how generous the portions were. Each dish came with a good amount of food. I even shared the tortellini with my mom, and we still couldn't finish it. We ended up taking some leftovers home. Overall, we had a good dinner and a pleasant experience here.

Wedge Salad

I've been to Juniors a few times. Everytime, the service, the food, and the vibe is always great. This time we went to watch our basketball team play while sitting in the bar area. I'm giving them 4 stars, only because the cocktail shrimp tastes a little soggy. The ribs, mashed potatoes, pasta, salad were great! We'll definitely be back again. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Bombay Sapphire martini with a twist
Deana M.

We were seated promptly. My husband ordered a beer on tap and I had a Bombay Sapphire martini. My martini was perfect!! My husband started with the wedge salad and had the Philly cheese steak sandwich with fries. He was hoping to see more cheese on the sandwich. I had the salmon with risotto and broccolini. Both entrees were cooked perfectly. Our server was friendly and checked in on us several times once served. It was a holiday weekend and not very busy. All in all a good experience.

Pups lunch
Brittany A.

Dog-friendly, delicious, and worth the stop! Stylish décor, flavorful food (try the wedge salad or spicy chicken sandwich), and even a special chicken-and-rice dish for pups. Attentive service made our quick stop in Tracy a highlight of our trip! We made a quick stop in Tracy on our way to the coast and brought our dog along for lunch -- and I'm so glad we did! The restaurant is stylish and modern, with a warm, welcoming vibe. We ordered the wedge salad with chicken, a spicy chicken sandwich, and even a special chicken-and-rice dish for our pup. Everything was delicious -- the chicken on the salad was tender and flavorful, the sandwich had the perfect spicy kick, and our four-legged friend devoured his meal in record time. Our server was fantastic, attentive without hovering, and made us feel right at home even though we were the only ones on the patio. Highly recommend for great food, friendly service, and a dog-friendly atmosphere!

Fish & Chips

There was a parasitic worm in the fish and chips I ordered this from door dash. So disgusted.

Walked in and was sat immediately. Drinks were okay but the salads were great, huge portions expect to take a box home. Our waitress, Megan, was so incredibly nice. Perfect late lunch spot.

Extra Spicy Cajun Pasta
Max O.

My gf found this spot by chance and this place was awesome. The service was great and friendly. The food was fire! I got the extra spicy pasta. It was really good, but I must say it's really spicy, so it might not be for everyone. The flavor was really great. The place is pet friendly, so we got our dog a little doggy bowl to keep him occupied. Overall, we loved the place for it being our 1st time. We will be back to try some more dishes.

Mother's Day dinner was a pure shit show with this place. We…read moreknew it'd be busy so we ordered "to go" from the app. First issue: the app does not take orders over $125. We're a big family so I ended up splitting it into 3 orders. Second issue: because I split the order, an item 3 members wanted kept going out of stock. The prime rib 16oz then the 14oz then the 12oz (only 2 of the 3 went thru on the order). Third issue: I went a few minutes just before the "scheduled" pickup time to pay the orders (app only took Apple Pay, giftcard, or pay at pickup). At this point I haven't gotten a call or text about my order. It's my turn up to the counter ("to go" pickup is outside) and ask about any possible available prime rib and she says they're out. I figure ok at least we got the 2 for the to-go order. I informed her that I have 3 to-go orders from the app. She goes to check on the orders and returns to inform me that they are COMPLETELY out of prime rib and had cancelled them from one of the orders. So basically 2 family members weren't getting dinner. ME being one of them. On mf MOTHER'S DAY! I kept my cool and proceeded to order dinner replacements. At this point we were 20min past the "scheduled" pickup time of 7:45pm and the orders still weren't ready. I asked the gal if I had ordered in the morning for pickup for dinner, would that have guaranteed the prime rib? She flat out said "Nope. We run out whenever we run out." Basically the app does not match up to their inventory and they don't hold anything for online/app orders. It's all first-come-first-served regardless of when you order. In other words the app is useless. Fourth issue: It seemed we had finally gotten the orders straight. All combined orders totaled over $300. I asked if I could get a discount since they cancelled part of my order without letting me know. They gave me my $12 appetizer free. I asked if I could get 10% off since the replacement dinners were more. About another $10 off. I thought whatever $22 off and still paid over $300 combined. Fifth issue: I asked how long for the order with the replacement steaks and she said should be quick about 20-30min. That seemed quick for how busy they were. So I waited. Not that I had a choice. 45 MINUTES LATER... Our food is finally ready and I'm still composed. I am at the counter and get the 3 huge bags. I start looking through them to try and make sure I have everything cause again it was multiple orders and I live 25-30min away. It was 9pm and so I'm trying to quickly go through the bags. Half the containers are soggy and cold. I think these might have been ready when I got there, but they're wanted me to wait until everything was ready. During the chaos the gal behind the counter asks me to move over cause they're backed up so she can help the next person. I tell her "I waited. They can wait." The lighting outside sucks. I can barely make out what's in each container. She again tells me to move to the side. I'm annoyed at this point and say "Ma'am I'll move when I'm ready." She calls over some shift mgr and tells her I won't move. That B of a mgr slams the window shut. At that point I was like F it. There's not enough room or light for me to check everything so I leave. Last issue: of course a bunch of sides are missing and some made incorrectly. By the time we tally up the damage the place was closed and no one is answering the phone. Cold, soggy food. Unhappy family. And a pissed off mom... on Mother's Day. I usually genuinely like Texas Roadhouse. Food is good. Service is ok, but yesterday they were crap through and through. Going today to get a refund of all the missing sides and extras that we never got.

My go to are definitely the avocado egg rolls, pot stickers, mini pizza, burger sliders from the appetizer menu as well as their sauced boneless wings and fish n chips entree. When I walked in for lunch, I was immediately greeted by a guy behind the bar (which is right at the door) with a smile. I proceeded upstairs to the clean and comfortable 'loft' and grabbed a table along the window so I could see out. The interior is clean and simple, open first floor to second floor ceiling. Great music playing, and just a nice vibe all the way around. Andrea, came by with a smile and greeting, asked if I had any questions, and headed off with my order. I didn't get the bartender's name, but he was just as attentive and super nice, as he came upstairs to my table and described some of the beers he currently has available. Small batch craft beers are good. . . Food: The menu is not so 'typical' as you get to select your protein, the sauce or spice for that protein, then your carb, and your veggie (or make it a salad). Nice choices too. My chicken with Korean BBQ sauce, beer batter fries and grilled Brussels sprouts was good, especially the sprouts. My chicken was on the dry side, but I have a feeling it may have been due to the fact they were managing a party of 15 as well as all the other patrons while I was there. A bit hectic for two people to keep up that pace. I definitely recommend coming to the Upper Room.
