Went into Jules on Valentines Day 4:30pm...early,knowing there would be a crowd.We were met with "we are booked for today.If you can eat and be done by 6pm or return at 7:30 pm you can stay." Basicly very POOR customer service.At the time there was only about 6 people there.What it said to us was, you are not welcome here tonight.If Jules is going to have an event and only accept reservations it should be stated on facebook events and on the door.I will not return. read more

OMG what outstanding food. What more can I say. Simple meal selections and a wide range if craft beers. The brisket special they offered today was awesome. And the grilled Turkey artichoke sandwich my wife allowed me to taste was delicious as well. Then there was the carrot cake and peach bourbon cake which were also to die for. Stopped in late on a weekday evening to this cozy little spot. Interesting pizzas, good sandwiches, amazingly attentive and friendly service. Great little place downtown St. Cloud. I stumbled upon it during my evening walk. I was looking for a place to grab coffee while I was out so I popped in. Coffee was a bit pricey , but very good. The next day when looking for a place to get a good salad, Jules popped up on Yelp. Went back and had the Blueberry chicken salad. It was delicious. He portions were large and it came with toasted bread. The raspberry vinaigrette was the best I've ever had. Service was a bit slow, but they were really busy. The new owner stopped by our table to see how our lunch was and to ask of their was anything that could have been done better. Then stuck around to chat with us. I would highly recommend Jules if you are looking for a quaint place with delicious food. read more

Wow, we were absolutely amazed by the service and quality of their food! Our son has very strict food allergies and the staff worked with us to ensure we were in compliance of them. It was so great to see our son enjoy an amazing lunch without fear of his allergies. We will be back soon as we were informed by our son he has found his favorite restaurant! read more

Not sure where to start. The vibe here is one of welcoming and kindness. I go here 3 times a week (at least) and try to schedule as many of my client and work meetings here as I can. Food: The menu is varied with gourmet foods at affordable prices. My favorites are the Turkey Artichoke Panini and the St. Germain Salad. The pizzas are handcrafted and amazing. No cardboard here! Drinks: From Italian espresso on their beautiful machine to wine to beer to a fair trade hot chocolate with handwhipped cream...there's something for everyone. Venue: The new owner has vision and has created a space for local artists to display and sell artwork, so the decor is constantly being updated and visually entertaining. The regular sounds and smells of a "coffee" shop are intersected with the smells coming from a gourmet chef and baker. Pricing: Other places in town slap some cold meat into sourdough and press it and call it a panini. Jules takes fresh ingredients, often locally sourced and makes it their own. And the prices are the same. So, don't be fooled by the shop across the street. They don't compare. Service: The staff at Jules are one big family and you can tell. They are helpful, calm, and knowledgeable: clearly caring about their work. If you want fast food, go somewhere else. Each guest is treated with respect and dignity. I've personally witnessed guests be disrespectful to staff and they've maintained their composure and reputation for the bistro. Overall: I appreciate places like this. Just as good for a breakfast with coworker as having a date night before going to a show at the paramount. The new space will be a great asset to our community and I look forward to many more visits to this wonderful place. read more

My husband and I are from Wisconsin and we came to St. Cloud a month ago when moving our son to SCSU for his freshman year of college. I'm very accustomed to having to bring my own food wherever I travel to because I have Celiac's and need to refrain from eating any form of gluten. As I usually do, though, when going to a new town, I googled to see if there might be a local restaurant in the area that could create meals that would truly meet my dietary limitations and that I could trust. That's how I learned about Jules' Bistro. We went that very day after reading about them online and I am so glad that we did! Not only were they very knowledgeable about how to prepare GF food safely w/o cross-contamination, but they had multiple really great menu items for me to choose from, something I'm not used to. I decided to have the pizza and it was honestly the most delicious pizza that I'd ever had, GF crust and all. My husband and I also shared a very amazing GF dessert. Truly a treat for me to be able to eat out without worry! And to top it all off, my husband loved it there just as much as I did! He wasn't just "tolerating" the restaurant choice for my sake. He really enjoyed his meal and we both enjoyed the very friendly staff and the comfortable, relaxed environment. Great place! Owner came over and talked with us explaining the precautions they take for gluten allergies. She was clear that they can't promise no cross contamination but they do their best. They use different utensils/pans. For the pizza's, they are cooked in the same oven but they put them on the top shelf. No gluten reactions after eating here. Highly recommended! read more

I read about this must try place, and I'll come here every time I'm in St, C. I got here at an odd time around 10. I was chatting with Sam about the menu, and she made it clear that it was breakfast only. So I ordered a monte cristo sandwich on cottage bread minus the breakfasty stuff like the jam and powdered sugar. Thick sliced ham and turkey, with melted cheddar was my first intro to this sandwich. I never got around to getting one anywhere else. Needless to say I loved it, and only ate half. Reason being was I was told the chili was probably hot. I had a cup and even had some left over for a snack that night. Chili of the day was turkey, I want to try them all. As I walk in they had a beautiful display of desserts, and a very unusual strawberry cake. It had a different kind of consistency, a little denser, and it was fabulous. Someone was actually bringing in cheesecake from a bakery they use if it's not made onsite. I picked up some wake up cookies for home, too. So I'm taking my sweet time, and I'm noticing some art all over the walls. Reminded me of Caffe Latte. The artists are Eve and Gary Wallinga. It's a textured style. Ranging from $90-600. I saw a smaller black and white with purple that is going right in my kitchen. Sam gave me perfect directions that involved just taking a left off the street. It's the perfect stop before the trip home. This restaurant stands up to any of our gourmet ones in the Twin Cities. read more

Okay, I found this place on yelp looking for a new place to go. I can not say enough good about the place! My husband, my 20 month old son and I had lunch here today. We started off with a Goat Cheese and Dried Fruit Tampenade. Fantastic!!! My husband had the Avocado Portabella Reuben, I had the Grilled Turkey Artichoke sandwich and my son a grilled cheese. Unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable!!! We ended with their signature coffee and turtle cheesecake. The service was phenomenal. This just made our favorite list!!! It is a must try!!! read more

So glad we stopped in for lunch on a warm, sunny Saturday. Automatically felt welcome and at home. There is plenty of good spots to sit including a small bar with about six stools. We opted for the bar. Jules is a coffee shop. A wine/beer bar. A restaurant. A place for dessert. Or all of the above. It's got board games ( including cribbage ) cool artwork and simple decor. The staff is friendly. Attentive. And prompt. The coffee is sourced from Dogwood out of minneapolis and the desserts are scratch made in house. Our server, who we later found out was the owner, gave us the rundown on their famous dill pickle soup. The fresh breads. Along with her background as a graphic designer turned restaurateur. She has a passion for people. Transparency. And truly believes that the customer comes first. The menu is straightforward. There are plenty of options from pizza to simple sandwiches. Your tastebuds will leave happy and your belly satisfied. If you need something. Just ask. They are actually there to serve you and happy to do so. Jules is what dining out should be about. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at Jule's. The flavor combinations are good and the staff are friendly and fairly attentive. The wait for the food is excessive though. I've been here three times, and each time its taken 45 min to 1 hr to get my food. I would go more often if I had an hour and a half lunch break, but as it is I rarely go because I have to eat in a hurry. I wouldn't choose this restaurant unless you have a lot of time available. read more

I struck gold finding this place traveling through town. I went at prime time lunch hours so it was busy and servers were very busy but that is to be expected for an excellent place. Food is amazing. I've been to Jule's on several different occasions for coffee. I usually get a mocha, they have the best in town. On my last visit I was less than impressed. I was in a hurry so I wasn't able to stop to say anything but my drink felt rather light when they gave it to me. When I finally got a chance to look almost half of my drink was foam. When I tasted it it was very bitter with almost no chocolate flavor to it at all. Like my rating says, I've experienced better. It was at Jule's, but this time they fell short. read more
