It was very soft and not too spicy. Kids liked the Spam daebop and the spicy pork cupbop. Found the beef soy one a bit too sweet. We were all super full after. Location/Service This place is right in the intersection of…read moreBayview/Major Mac, but it is in a smaller plaza right across the high school. It is a little tricky to access the plaza, but there is actually plenty of parking behind the store front that no one never realizes. Inside is pretty big, a lot of tables available to dine-in. You can have it to-go as well, which I seem to see it's like that most of the time. The owner, Peter, is a very nice guy. He explains all the items very clearly, provides good recommendation and makes sure you feel welcomed and enjoys the food. Food This place specializes cupbop - which actually is a classic staple street style food in Korean. It's kind of like a bibimbap, something you add together and mix it up. But cupbop usually also have macaroni salad, stir fried kimchi and a choice of protein like spam, pork, beef. It is a very hearty bowl, definitely good portion size and filling. And it's only $12.99 - that's pretty affordable in this current economy. Besides cupbop, they have street style Korean snacks like their toast, skewers and I think they started doing tteokbokki too. Honestly, this is a small business that deserves more recognition and it is very convenient for kids across the school and anybody in the neighbourhood.

Revisited this place after a year. Menu has changed a bit since my last visit…read more This time around I got: - Mushroom Fried Rice: this was my favorite dish since last time and it's still just as good. - Lobster Wontons: surprisingly quite yummy but only 4 pieces - KFC Sliders: surprisingly very impressed with this too. Chicken was so moist and tasty! Probably my new favorite item from here. - Pear Salad: this was okay but nothing special - Flora (Green tea, hibiscus, lychee, rose sugar): would not order this again...very bland and didn't even taste like green tea lol. The only lychee flavour was the one piece of lychee fruit Service was friendly, but nothing special

Came here on a Thursday night and it was quite busy for a weeknight. The atmosphere was nice but…read morethe service was quite poor. Our server only came twice, which was when we first arrived and sat down and when we paid for the bill. She actually never came during the whole time we were there and never checked on us. Given the price range of this place, I'm surprised at the lack of and poor service. We waited quite some time before having to wave just a random waitress to come and take our order and we had to keep waving for random servers to help us fill our water and get the menu to order a dessert. We were also there to celebrate a birthday and informed the restaurant about it when we made the reservation. We were told that for birthdays, there's a complimentary dessert or if we order one, they could write "happy birthday" on the plate. After being seated, we reminded our server about this (the one who never showed up until bill time), and not only did we not receive any complimentary anything, but there was no "happy birthday" written on our dessert that we ordered and paid for. I think that is quite unacceptable given what we were told and we also reminded them upon being seated. What kind of service is this? This is pure ignorance of customers' requests and lack of follow through of their own restaurant policy about complimentary dish for birthday celebrations. In terms of food, we ordered the following: Wagyu Beef Siu Mai, Handmade Lobster Wontons, Crispy Broccoli, Crab Truffle Chawanmushi, and Black Sesame & Tofu Baked Alaska. We wanted to get the Shrimp & Scallop Toast but was told that it was not available so that was a bit disappointing too. Overall, all the food tasted pretty good and were aesthetically presentable. However, given the price point, I wouldn't say they tasted exceptionally outstanding. None of them were so special to a point that I'd feel like I must come back for that particular dish again. Overall a mediocre experience with pretty food that tasted decently palatable but with very poor (or lack of) service.

My fav restaurant for #valentinesday…read more Baked Alaska is still my fav dessert ever, that passionfruit truly elevates the taste profile. I loved the duck confit eggs Benny! It was hearty and flavorful! The eggs were very runny and I used the English muffins and delicious garlic home fries to soak it all up! I'm most pleasantly surprised that we can order from the brunch menu at dinner. I didn't try the AAA steak but I was told that this was absolutely delicious and he wished it was a bigger portion. The rice underneath is a pilaf :) Service was standard. I mean, I don't come here for the service anyway. It's a slightly upscale atmosphere here, no sweatpants please!

We were then told that the business will be going through a rebrand with a new name and new menu offerings. For the moment the only thing that has changed is the menu. The exterior and interior is exactly the same. Flavours are very Asian fusion with things like kimchi fried rice and bi bim bap but there are also more mainstream items such as Rigatoni Alfredo with chicken and short rib Benedict. Flavours are still good with decent portions. We were checked on several times so service was good. What was a miss was how the food came out of the kitchen. Food came out sporadically with the last dish a full 10 minutes after the first leaving that person sitting and waiting while everyone else ate. This is still a very popular place. It was almost full for a Monday lunch.

Initially we were going for the idea of breakfast, but timing was a bit off from what we anticipated and it was a really nice lunch date instead. I love the Markham Marriott, the staff is always warm and welcoming. Draco has a very sleek, sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. We both ordered Bacon & Cheddar burgers. I opted for a Caesar salad as an appetizer and hubby ordered their Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak. Let's start with the apps. The Caesar salad was SO good! I wish I had taken a pic, but admittedly, my phone was tucked away and I was caught up in the cozy seating, great food and Christmas vibes of the restaurant and lobby. Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak: $33 - Buttercup Squash Puree and Truffle Oil - Everything you want Wagyu to be - tender, cooked to the perfect temp which left a nice warm red centre. This was melt in your mouth good! The burgers - these were perfection! Draco Bacon Cheddar Burger: $25 - Aged Cheddar with Crispy Bacon Strips; Crispy Onion Straws, Arugula and Garlic Aioli. This was a very well seasoned patty, so juicy and a substantial sized patty of fresh not frozen beef. The bun was lightly toasted, bacon crispy, easily taking this into my top 3 fav spots for burgers! Options for sides include fries, sweet potato fries, poutine, side Caesar or garden salad or truffle fries. We finished off our meal with 2 really good cappuccinos and just took our time before heading home. This was our first time back here in a few years. The food was exceptional as was the service and the warm staff. Draco is the perfect spot for an early morning breakfast, work or lunch date or a nice cozy dinner. They also have Christmas & New Years dinners and brunches. Relax in the restaurant with drinks or in the adjacent lounge, this is a great spot to unwind with some great food and drinks.

Menu and ordering is all done via the QR code on the table. Interior is bright and spacious with a 'almost' open kitchen behind the cash where you can see the noodles being made. What was ordered: Pickled cabbage and pork dumplings Braised Beef Noodle Soup Beijing Style Sauce Fried Noodles Diced Eggplant and Pork on Noodles The texture of the hand pulled noodles is not bad. Good texture and chew. Their signature dish is the Beijing Style Sauce Fried Noodles. You get a bowl of warm plain noodles with a platter of julienned vegetables and a small bowl of sauce. You mix everything together before eating. Flavour was good but I would recommend to add the sauce to taste. We added it all at once and found the dish heavy. The Braised Beef Noodle Soup was good. The broth was light and flavourful with pieces pickled turnip under the noodles. Service was okay. We asked for extra bowls and chopsticks and had to remind the server even though they were not busy. Prices are decent. The 4 dishes came to just over 60 bucks. They have daily specials and on Monday it's was the Beijing style sauce noodles for 10.99.
