We stopped by this restaurant when in the area and it was really good. My husband ordered the Tom Yum Soup and cashew chicken. He really enjoyed the dishes but found them a bit spicy. I ordered the B.C. (a salmon, avocado, & tobico) roll and it was really good. I found the salmon to be really fresh and I really enjoyed the food. We've been here a few times and the food is always delicious. Service was fast and friendly, prices reasonable for the quality. We had at least 4 different people check on us - they're very attentive. The only complaint I have is that the butterfish maki wasn't quite as fresh as I would have expected - but it was still ok. Not my favorite fish, but my husband is a big fan. If I could give 4.5 stars I would have, so they get 5 because it was just a small thing and had never happened before. I had the teriyaki salmon dinner, and it was delicious and perfectly cooked. They also substituted hot and sour soup for the miso when I asked, at no extra charge, which was surprisingly nice. I've been twice for lunch - once for takeout, and once for dine-in. The service is good, quiet and tasteful atmosphere, lots of choices on the menu (Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai), and everything is fresh. The Har Gow and Siu Mai taste great and I'm usually picky about my dim sum. I ordered the Maki set for dine-in and the sushi was fresh and soft. I've been going to Asian for years and love the food. It's always fresh and tasty. They'll change up the dish to your liking no matter what. Consistently good food for a great price. Whenever I am in Oshawa and am meeting a friend for lunch, Azian is the go-to spot. The fact that I can order both dim sum and sushi in the same building makes me very happy. The Sui Mai dim sum is always a must. It's very tasty and can easily beat the dim sum in some China town restaurants downtown Toronto. The salmon sashimi is my second pick, which is always fresh and served in a healthy portion size. Other great items on the menu include gyoza, red curry, won ton soup and the pineapple fried rice. The service is always on point, another reason we keep coming back! We use to visit this restaurant when they had a location Maple. We made the trip to Oshawa today because we missed it so much! The food is great! Everything is served hot and fresh, full of taste and never over salted. Service is always quick and friendly. We never wait long for a table or food. Staff look happy and clean. The Oshawa location is not as trendy as their old (closed) location but still nice nonetheless. In terms of recommendations, the UFOs are great! The hot and sour soup is wonderful. It's spicy but not overly heated. And it's full of flavour. We usually get a teriyaki chicken noodle dish, and sweet and sour chicken with rice. It's always awesome. We'd do anything for the location to come back to Vaughan! It's still about 50 mins to an hour away so we'll pop by a few times a year. Definitely 5 star for its category! read more

Looking at the menu really scared me because it was so diverse. I was very surprised that the Chinese and Thai food was done very well. I wouldn't go here for Pho but all the other dishes were done very well. The curry is spicy and tasty and the Pad Thai was great. For Asian food I found the price point a little high but it is worth it if you can't decide what type of Asian you want. read more

In all honesty, if I could rate this restaurant higher than a 5 star, I would. The food was amazing, hot and fresh, the wait staff was friendly and helpful, and the minimalist decor was absolutely stunning. I loved this restaurant and I will go back as much as I can. This is a fusion Japanese restaurant mixed with Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesian. We have the "Dong Yan Kun" soup. Although we ordered for a less spicy version, it is still pretty spicy for me. The pineapple fried rice is good but an old half pineapple crust is used. I think I can tell by the look of the crust. I've been to this place 2 times since moving to Oshawa. I ordered some chicken fried rice and some noodles the 1st time and it was not bad but it was not good either. I was really excited about this place so I thought it was worth giving it a 2nd chance. I brought a friend here just for desert one night and after looking at the extensive menu we decided we wanted to try more than just desert. We ordered some pork dumplings and some deep fried tofu- I know what you're thinking, tofu is tasteless and why didn't you order some real food - I like Tofu ok :P For desert we ordered the FBI - fried banana with mango ice cream, Mochi - green tea ice cream covered in pulverized sticky rice and the desert sushi roll which is a combination of strawberries, mangos and lychee rice roll. Now for the moment of truth: Pork dumplings - They were under cooked. My friend couldn't even eat one without it falling apart! She couldn't finish them so 2 our of 3 dumplings were given back. Deep Fried Tofu with spicy sauce - I guess they don't know what deep fried means because it was not even cooked! It was just a big mush. I got 5 pieces of tofu, one that I tried and one that my friend tried to make sure I was not being crazy. FBI - Surprisingly, the banana was fried!! The mango ice cream was the best part!! The strawberries and whip cream are a nice touch - I really enjoyed it!! Mochi - You get 2 little balls of green tea ice cream covered in pulverized rice with a little bit of whip cream. My friend really enjoyed it! Desert Sushi roll - looks interesting but my friend said it was too weird for her unique palette. The combination of the rice with the fruit somehow did not mix well so she couldn't finish it. Now for the funny part - Before we got our bill, I asked our waitress if she could please remove the charges for the 3 dumplings and the tofu ($9 and change) I told her we have no problem paying for our food if it's cooked and if we finish it but we didn't even get to enjoy it. She leaves to talk to her manager and comes back to tell us that they cannot remove the charges because there is nothing wrong with their food (LOL) I tried to explain to her how the tofu was not deep fried but she continued to tell me that is how they cook it! I finally asked for some sort of discount and they agreed to 10% off just those 2 dishes and again said, " There is nothing wrong with our food" Seriously -_- Needless to say, we won't be returning to this establishment for one main reason - they do not care about what their customers have to say. They failed to listen to our feedback and didn't even apologize at all. The food is not even good enough for us to overlook this poor experience! They lost two customers and the potential business of the people we know because of their failure to acknowledge the fact that their food was not cooked! read more

I have friends and family from Toronto who drive all the way to Oshawa to 'visit' us, but we now know it's for the Azian sushi party platters. My wife and I visit Azian for lunch once or twice a month, and with the good weather we'll probably start going more often. We've never had a bad meal here. I'm a huge fan of Vancouver sushi and this is better than anything I've had on the coast. After a visit to Azian, next door is a brand new Starbucks, making the whole 'date' thing perfect. I pray Azian buys out the Popeyes next door and takes over this small corner of heaven. I can't rate it high enough. PS: I just noticed Azian is opening a new location in Ajax. After moving to Oshawa from Toronto, I worried I wouldn't be able to find good Asian delivery. Thankfully I found Azian Cuisine. This Jack of All Trades restaurant features Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese dishes. I have yet to be disappointed by anything I order. Are some dishes better than others? Yes. Do they have off days? Yes. But I still wouldn't recommend any other restaurant. The fact that they have a great selection of dim sum dishes just makes this even better! Good variety of Asian food that is authentic. You can find Chinese, Japanese and Viet food here. Their pho isn't too good though. But not bad for Oshawa. But they got good fried rice and fried noodles. Their pad thai is legit. Only problem is spreading too thin amongst too many different Asian foods.. It doesn't have some Chinese food that I crave always. If you like a mixture than you can eat here. If you want only Chinese then go for a real Chinese resto. read more

I've ordered from them many times and we've always enjoyed it but today I ordered chicken and shrimp pad Thai and even asked for extra lemon/lime with peanuts. Ive always enjoy the Flav of pad Thai and love the curry a lot. I picked up the food and the moment I got home I was happy that it was super hot. When I tried it....it was sooooo BLAND and does not even taste good. So I added more lime for extra Flav. And still I just couldn't eat it. I don't like complaining but I was too busy to also call. I waited for my husband to come home so I can see if maybe it's me not the food. When my husband tried it...and he is not a picky eat at all. He spit it out. He said it was tasteless. It's basically just noodles...with shrimp and chicken and peanuts that I added. I called and spoke with the same lady I ordered from. She was very defensive instead of listening to my feedback. I tried to explain to her. But she said maybe I don't like how they make it. I explained to her that it is the worst pad Thai I've ever tasted. She was rude and I'll never go to this place again. If you want over priced bland pad Thai then go try it. Because of how she was....I will make sure EVERYONE I KNOW stop ordering from them. I even offered to bring it for her to try. I was so disappointed in my attempt to eat there today with a friend who had never been there. We arrived ten minutes prior to opening at 11am- with no lights on inside I wondered if it was in business. We waited until 11:05 and attempted to enter the restaurant only to find it still locked. I looked through the window, seeing not one, but three employees at the register and knocked on the glass-no response. I knocked again- still no response. In fact none of the three employees even looked up to see who was knocking. I knocked really loudly again, and they still didn't look up. I will NEVER return to this location ever again. I have been there in the past and had very unpleasant servers, but continued to support it because the food is good. This experience guarantees I won't return, even for the food. So very disappointed in a restaurant full of employees who don't care about the customer. If your sign says open at 11, then open. Im currently sitting in Azian's dining room enjoying the unique decor, soulful jazz playing in the background and am left wondering, what the hell happened to my food and when did they decide to dump a salt truck into my plate. I have ordered the Mango Salad to share with my wife, she ordered the Chilli Chicken and I ordered the Cashew Nut Chicken. The Mango Salad was acceptable althought it lacked any real flavour. Then came the main event. My wife's Chilli chicken came and it seemed that the chicken was rather hard and over prepared. Almost like it was General Tso's chicken but with a Chilli Chicken Sauce with a couple of pinches of salt too much. Needless to say, it wasnt that great. The Cashew Nut Chicken was overly salty. I had to order extra water to try and wash it down. By the end of the meal, the plain rice was done but the main courses that were almost half done were left behind. They have great service as this is my second visit however I can't return due to the high salt content and me fearing for my health. read more
