Chicken was dry. Sushi wasn't the greatest. Only had deep fried chicken dumplings . No pork. I've had better. Will not return.

Who woudlve thought brocolli, strawberries and whipped feta was a wicked combination! Duck sliders were also a hit. Beautiful modern decor and excellent service. The server took a lot of time to explain almost everything on the menu. Looking forward to trying their new brunch menu as they have recently collaborated with Glass Kitchen).

Personally, I felt like many of the dishes were elevated or fancier versions of Asian classics. The crab truffle chawanmushi was super creamy, with crab meat on top and truffle flavors. For $40...ya idk it wasn't anything crazy and I would have loved it with a bowl of rice (maybe that's me being too Chinese lol). But also I've seen other review of the chawanmushi and it seems like every time, the amount of crab on it is different. Mine didn't seem to have as much compared to the other pictures I have seen which just tell me that they have inconsistencies. It just felt like a lot to just be eating on its own. The mala cream udon was really tasty, I loved the creaminess, cheesiness, and the addition of Chinese pork and spices but it also felt like something that could be make at home. The tuna tataki came with only three pieces for $22, which felt quite small for the price. The flavors were good, but the portion was underwhelming. My favorite was probably the Basque cheesecake it had a rich, creamy texture with a slight hint of saltiness. The Korean fried chicken sliders were also great, the crispy chicken with a well-balanced sauce. For drinks, we got the Zazatar and Golden Pear, and both were really good. The Zazatar, in particular, was quite strong which I liked. While the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite feel worth the price. For this style of food, I think you could find similar options and flavors at a more reasonable price point elsewhere in Markham. Nothing of the dishes like blow me away which is why I'm saying this. The staff were very kind and attentive, which I appreciated. However, the timing of the dishes was a bit off. We received and finished the tuna, then the sliders came out, followed by the udon. Finished that and then we waited about 15-20 minutes before my main (the chawanmushi) arrived, which by that point my partner had already long finished eating. I understand that chawanmushi takes longer to prepare since it's steamed, but a heads-up or better coordination with the rest of the dishes would have been nice. Like severing the appetizers at the same time and serving the mains at the same time. Instead of having the dishes come out one by one and such a long wait between the mains. The space itself is beautiful, with an upscale vibe, great for catching up I don't regret trying it, but it's probably not somewhere I'd return to.

My fav restaurant for #valentinesday…read more Baked Alaska is still my fav dessert ever, that passionfruit truly elevates the taste profile. I loved the duck confit eggs Benny! It was hearty and flavorful! The eggs were very runny and I used the English muffins and delicious garlic home fries to soak it all up! I'm most pleasantly surprised that we can order from the brunch menu at dinner. I didn't try the AAA steak but I was told that this was absolutely delicious and he wished it was a bigger portion. The rice underneath is a pilaf :) Service was standard. I mean, I don't come here for the service anyway. It's a slightly upscale atmosphere here, no sweatpants please!

The music is a bit loud and reminded me of club/lounge music, not a chill jazz relaxing brunch atmosphere. Service was slow and the kitchen even slower. When the hostess sat us at our reserved table, she brought up the 90 minute seating rule. Our food didn't come out until the hour mark, so come prepared for hungry or little ones. The Korean french toast has an amazing crunch on the outside and super moist and soft brioche inside. The four slices looked big but was very easy to demolish. PB & J Hamburger was interesting! That is definitely a brunchy sounding dish and it did not disappoint. It was a delicious, messy, goopy burger with so much flavour. Burrata arugula salad with long thin strips of prosciutto was very light. The fig wedges were sweet and this dish was a great starter without being too heavy. Biscoff Latte is always a pleaser; bit of a strange glassware choice for a hot beverage as it has no handles.

It has been such a crazy month for both of us that we decided a day before we met up. I did a trusty Yelp search and found Wok Box. It has vegan options, which would suit my friend just fine. We both love noodles. Done! This Wok Box is steps away from Winners. We drove over there in separate cars. I made a wrong turn (haha!) and got there a bit later. A man at this eatery was kind to wait for me before giving his speech on how things work and how to order. I like different and I appreciated everyone waiting for me. You pick your noodles. You can go with either egg or eggless noodles. You then pick your protein. You can opt for a combo (better value) or not. Finally, you choose your size. Your size choices are lunch, regular, or sumo. It offers Yamchops vegan chick'n. We both went with the vegan protein option. My friend got the sweet Mongolian chick'n on udon noodles in a regular size. I went with Hong Kong spice chick'n on hokkein noodles. I went all out and got the sumo size. We ordered veggie spring rolls to start. It comes with plum dipping sauce. I paid using a credit card. It went well. We were handed a number on a stick to place on our table. We found a cozy table and sat down. We both ordered combos, so we filled up with fountain drinks. It didn't take long to get our meals. The presentation was pretty. It feels like fast food, but the taste does not! The veggie spring rolls were delicious. They were crispy and hot. The plum sauce made them even better! My friend enjoyed her sweet Mongolian udon dish. She has had the Yamchops chick'n before. She was so happy. I loved my Hong Kong spice chick'n on hokkein noodles. The noodles were perfectly done. The spice was amazing. There was heat, but it wasn't to the point where my mouth was set on fire. I liked the chick'n. It was yummy. The portion size was generous. I didn't have any difficulties polishing it off, as I love noodles and I was hungry. There was plenty of parking in this plaza. I like this place. There are daily deals that I wouldn't mind checking out soon, including pho. (479)
