We've been excited to try this restaurant and it was definitely worthy of our high expectations. The menu is great and there is a huge variety in the dishes available. We got the Chilli Chicken (wet) with rice and it was probably our favourite dish. The chicken and sauce was super flavourful and went really well with the plain rice. Considering it's called an appetizer we weren't sure what portion size to expect, but it was entree size. The Jerk Chicken was really great as well. It had a lot of flavour and I appreciated that the hot sauce is served on the side so we can tailor the dish to our spice tolerance. I loved the rice it came with, it had kidney beans and a modest amount of seasoning but it was very nice. The Duck Curry was really good and the duck was very tender, but I think this dish definitely had the smallest meat portion out of three we got. It was pretty tasty and I enjoyed the chickpeas, but I would have liked a little more out of this dish. Overall we had an amazing experience here and really enjoyed all the food. All the staff was very friendly and helpful which elevated the experience for us. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes off this huge menu!

Pepper Shrimp Fried Rice with Jerk Chicken

I was in the Oshawa area and had dinner at Palm Court, very nice decor and interior, lots of TV screens throughout the restaurant. Customer service was great, waitress was very attentive. I ordered the pepper shrimp fried rice with a piece of jerk chicken. Good portion sizes would feed two people. However the fried rice and shrimp tasted burnt, not sure if the cooks didn't clean wok or too high heat. You will see in picture charred pieces on the shrimp, Jerk chicken tasted great. Food is on the pricey side tho $24 for pepper shrimp fried rice and piece of jerk chicken. Beers reasonably priced $4.87. I would still recommend to check Palm Court out although my food experience wasn't greatest. Believe they have other great items on menu. Based on other reviews they have great wings.

Food experience was absolutely amazing. From Apps to Main to Dessert I was also impressed with the fast & efficient take out service.

It has been such a crazy month for both of us that we decided a day before we met up. I did a trusty Yelp search and found Wok Box. It has vegan options, which would suit my friend just fine. We both love noodles. Done! This Wok Box is steps away from Winners. We drove over there in separate cars. I made a wrong turn (haha!) and got there a bit later. A man at this eatery was kind to wait for me before giving his speech on how things work and how to order. I like different and I appreciated everyone waiting for me. You pick your noodles. You can go with either egg or eggless noodles. You then pick your protein. You can opt for a combo (better value) or not. Finally, you choose your size. Your size choices are lunch, regular, or sumo. It offers Yamchops vegan chick'n. We both went with the vegan protein option. My friend got the sweet Mongolian chick'n on udon noodles in a regular size. I went with Hong Kong spice chick'n on hokkein noodles. I went all out and got the sumo size. We ordered veggie spring rolls to start. It comes with plum dipping sauce. I paid using a credit card. It went well. We were handed a number on a stick to place on our table. We found a cozy table and sat down. We both ordered combos, so we filled up with fountain drinks. It didn't take long to get our meals. The presentation was pretty. It feels like fast food, but the taste does not! The veggie spring rolls were delicious. They were crispy and hot. The plum sauce made them even better! My friend enjoyed her sweet Mongolian udon dish. She has had the Yamchops chick'n before. She was so happy. I loved my Hong Kong spice chick'n on hokkein noodles. The noodles were perfectly done. The spice was amazing. There was heat, but it wasn't to the point where my mouth was set on fire. I liked the chick'n. It was yummy. The portion size was generous. I didn't have any difficulties polishing it off, as I love noodles and I was hungry. There was plenty of parking in this plaza. I like this place. There are daily deals that I wouldn't mind checking out soon, including pho. (479)

I've been eating here for about ten years now and it's probably my favourite all you can eat sushi…read morerestaurant. It isn't necessarily the best sushi, but it's reasonably priced so It think it offers the best value. The takeout is also very fairly priced with a 10% cash discount. For sushi we always order the BC Roll and it's probably my favourite here. It's got salmon, avocado, cucumber, and just a hint of green onion. Other places offer a salmon avocado roll but once you see how much better it is with a bit of crunch from the cucumber you'll never be able to go back. They also have an amazing salmon skin roll that we always order and I've never had one like it anywhere else. For appetizers and entrees we typically get multiple orders of Grilled Fresh Squid and Salmon Belly during AYCE so we can enjoy lots of delicious seafood dishes that are normally expensive to have. Their chicken dishes can be hit or miss, recently we got Chicken & Broccoli and the meat had a really gross texture so I don't think we'd get it again. The beef is a bit more reliable, so I'd still probably order the Beef Skewers or Beef & Broccoli. The service here is decent but some of the staff can be a little rude. The biggest issue is always when we try to order dessert. At Tokushima we can order 10 ice cream scoops and get them all in separate bowls so we can eat as we please. Here, when we try to order ice cream the waitress makes us say which go in each bowl so they only bring one bowl per person. It might sound small, but it's pretty annoying because part of the fun of AYCE is ordering a bunch of stuff and then people gradually eat it.

This restaurant was recommended to us from Naomi at Strewn Winery…read more We asked if there was a dress code as we were underdressed due to the fact we had just spent the day packing for our camping trip and driving to Canada. She assured us not to worry as the owners are very kind and it was a place you could dress up but accept casual wear as well. So off we went. Pulling in we saw it was a restaurant attached to the Orchid Hotel. And old but beautiful looking home converted to a hotel/restaurant. Once inside I saw white linen table cloths with nice stem ware and crisp white napkins and silverware. I looked at my sister and said I think we are underdressed lol. It was a Thursday around 5 pm, no reservation but it wasn't super busy yet so we were immediately seated. The host was kind, and put two tables together for our party of 5. The menu was simple which I liked. We ordered appetizers to start, the spring rolls and the crab cakes. I apologize for not taking pictures, I was tired and forgot so I'll just say they were delicious. Sidenote: I don't like seafood but one taste of the crab cake and I could have eaten both cakes myself! So very good! For the main course I ordered the Thai chicken coconut curry which had a side of rice. My hubby ordered the salmon with rice and vegetables. From the first bite we both let out yummy noises. We each took a bite of each other's food and I can say the salmon was absolutely delicious as was my curry dish. The portion sizes were great. We were both so full. My brother in law got the lamb-it looked like it was cooked perfectly and he said it was delicious. My sister got the fish and chips-it came with a couple different sauces but all she wanted was tartar sauce and ketchup. She didn't ask if they had any because she didn't want to offend the chef lol. My niece got a beautiful big salad and enjoyed it but neither enjoyed their pics as much as us other 3 did lol. The host was engaging, he explained that it's a family run business for the last 37 yrs and the last 15 years he and his brother and mother have been running it alone. His mom runs the hotel and he and his brother run the restaurant. I recommend eating here if you're ever in the area.
