Jonathan's is the go-to place for me and my co-workers. When the weather is nice the patio at Jonathan's is perfect. Their happy hour is great as well as their half-price bottles of wine on Sundays. They have a huge menu and I haven't had a bad meal. They have a great variety of salads, brick oven pizzas and appetizers. They have TV's everywhere so you never miss the game. read more

I guess my expectations were set too high, because this was the worst burger I've ever had. The outside was toasty black and very dead on the inside. I ordered it medium rare and it was completely over cooked. Very disappointed with my choice and will not recommend to others. We had dinner here last night, a party of three. The service & food both excellent. Everything was very tasty. The portions generous.

Meal started ok. But then the bartender basically disappeared and spent 10 minutes with one customer and neglected everyone else. Nobody came by to ask how the food was or to ask if I needed anything else. My burger ended up having black beans on it for some reason. It certainly wasn't supposed to. She didn't even ask how the food was. If she had I would have told her but I was so ready to leave after having to wait so long for the check. It wasn't even busy. Very disappointing! read more

Ordered Tuscan pizza. Being a vegetarian, I requested no chicken but additional veggies. Chose this because first ingredient is spinach. There wasn't even ONE piece of spinach total. Just a few shreds on top. Mostly cheese; couldn't find any sun-dried tomatoes. And $12 - TWELVE dollars! - for an 8 inch pizza! Highway robbery in my opinion! Cannot recommend! read more

I stopped in for lunch today. My first time dining. The food was quick and really good. The service not so much. My server dropped off the food without asking if I needed anything else(I would have asked for a little mayo). She never checked in during my lunch to see how I was doing or give a refill. I also couldn't get my check due to her absence. However the manager noticed me looking around and took my money. The server did bring me my change back. I'll probably go back because I did enjoy the food. I just hope to get the basic steps of service next time.... read more

Jonathan's was once one of the best sports restaurants in Franklin. We go about twice a month but the past few times the food has not been good quality and expensive for that quality. The salads are usually amazing, but my lettuce was wilted and there appears to be a "Fast-food" quality in the food now. My daughter's $11.50 burger came with vending machine chips - literally - the fries weren't any better. I think we spent $50 on three meals that would have been $12 at chic-fil-la for better quality. This is a review of Jonathan's as a restaurant, not a sports bar. My friend and I enjoy going to the location in Hermitage so needing an option while stuck in Cool Springs I opted for this place with another friend. Both myself and my friend made a comment along the lines of "this server could not be less helpful." Upon asking about one of the dishes and how to work around due to a gluten allergy I was informed "Oh, I wouldn't even know how to begin making that suitable for you." I asked only because as far as I could tell there wasn't anything on the basil pesto chicken that should have made it unacceptable versus the chicken platter that's on the gluten-free menu. I work for a restaurant where we're not allowed on the floor unless we pass training on familiarity with the different allergies we may encounter and how to work around them or what people simply can't have. I don't expect that everywhere I go, but it seems like asking the kitchen would have been a simple and easy option, especially since pretty much the entire time we were there she was chatting it up with two guys at the table next to us. I decided on the basil pesto chicken and no croutons on the salad. She brings the salad out with a large bun on it. The first time I had been here was a pretty lackluster experience as well. Maybe just a different crowd at this location shaping the service in a specific way. *shrug* read more

My wife and I eat at the Franklin location once a week and today I had to write about my experience. I met my wife for a late lunch yesterday and got there early. This might be the only time we have ever been to Jonathan's and it not be busy. I had exceptional service today. The female (manager)stopped by my table and made sure I had been greeted. The waitress was getting my wine from the bar but I asked for recommendations. She offered a popular item from every category. We got the margarita flatbread and bam shrimp. Two salads for dinner, spring and the spicy tostada. Everything came out perfect, service couldn't have been better. The manager made sure to check back to see if we liked her suggestions. This is as good as it gets!! read more

I visited Jonathan's on May 3, 2016. Poor service from the time I sat at the table. It took over 15 minutes for the server to come take our drink order. I had to flag down the server. When I finally got his attention, he hollered, "What?" That should have been my queue to leave, but I was with a party of about 10. I ordered Iced Tea. Never not once did I get a refill. When I finally asked if there is free refills on Tea, the server replied, "You never asked". Well, how am I supposed to ask if you never came back to the table. When we asked to speak to the manager, it took her over 1/2 hour to come to the table. Says, "I came but you were all talking and didn't seem to need my help". Really? No wonder the server is just as arrogant. Tuesday Drink Special says " 2 for 1 Beers, Cocktails, & House Wine Specials". I asked for a cocktail from the cocktail menu. I was told I cannot select from that menu. I can have one alcohol, and one mixer. After I finished my drink, I order the 2nd one. I was told they put 2 shots in my drink, so I that counted as a 2 for 1 drink. How do I know they put 2 shots in my drink. I couldn't even taste the rum. One of the ladies didn't get her food until everyone else was already done, and we were leaving. The only reason why I am giving the one star is because my Rib-eye was pretty good. The cooks deserve recognition for that. read more
