Worst service I've had in a while. The hostesses were resolving some issue about who was covering what zone while we stood there unacknowledged. I'll note it was Wednesday night and not busy. Then we had to go find someone after about 20 minutes of sitting to get a server to our table. Smartly we ordered when we got one. He brought the drinks and disappeared. Someone else brought out the appetizer. Ate that and waited again. No waiter, no refills, everyone empty. Food was brought by same person who brought app. Asked them for a refill. Perfect prime sandwich was okay, daughters kids grilled cheese was good. Taco salad was okay. Food was okay but they service at my table and the other tables in our area will prevent a repeat visit. read more

I stopped by Jonathon's with some old friends to talk computers and have lunch. First, our server, Austine, couldn't have been any better.She brought us out meals ASAP any stopped by several times to check on us. I ordered a dish that I'd never even heard of- the 12" jerk chicken pizza. That jerk chicken seasoning transformed the pizza from good to unbelievable. Seems that those who ordered the 12" size (like me), got two pizzas for the price of one. Guess who had pizza for breakfast. My only complaint is the dim lighting. I hope that I hope I left Austine as big a tip as she deserved, but I could hardly read the bill. I'll bring my flashlight next time. read more

We were in town for a wedding and the Texas Tech vs. Texas game was playing. After the reception the wedding party and guests went to Jonathan's Grille. It was a great venue to watch the game. There was plenty of space for all of us. Many other groups were there too watching other sporting events. There were screens all over the place so you could view multiple events at a time. It was very loud, so if you want to go for conversation you will be disappointed. The servers were great! They kept up with all the food and drink orders and our group stayed happy! read more

My family and I were looking for a place to watch the college football games early Saturday evening. On our way, we called to see if they were busy. The lady on the phone told us they had 10-15 open tables. We asked to put our name in and they said we could not do that. 10 minutes later when we arrive, we are told there is a twenty minute wait. When I told them I had just called, they told me they had filled up the 10-15 tables and had another 2 pages of people on the waiting list. I guess everybody in Franklin decided to show up in those 10 minutes. Needless to say, we left. I have been there before. Food is above average and they have plenty of TVs; but they are always crowded on game days. With kids, I can't wait 20 minutes for a table when the kids are not allowed in the bar area. If you are full, just tell me and I will go someplace else. read more

Jonathan's is the best sports bar to catch a game in Cool Springs. Unfortunately everyone else thinks the same. Good luck finding a seat while the Titans or UT are playing. As a Falcons and UGA fan from Georgia, I avoid Jonathan's like the plague during the Titans and UT games. I used to watch the Falcons every week at the Bellevue location for years when I lived there. Their delicious burgers were responsible for my husband and I gaining a few pounds during the winter! Now that we live in Franklin, we have the NFL package because I don't want to fight the crowds at this location because the Titans and Falcons typically play at the same time. We typically go for the late afternoon games after the Titans' fans leave. They have a ton of TVs everywhere, so you can sit anywhere and see many TVs. They really do have a good menu and a good variety of food. My favorite is a personal size white pizza and side salad. They also have good sandwiches. And good burgers, as mentioned above. Service is typically good, but sometimes a little slow. They are always friendly though! They also have good beer and food specials. read more

This is a pretty large place with bar seating and a dining area. I sat in the bar area for happy hour one night and in the dining area for lunch the next day (it was right next to my hotel.) The bar area seems like it would be a good place to watch a game as they have plenty of TV's and they are high enough so you can see from most seats. The only down side to the bar seating is that on one side is the entrance to the area and on the other side is the entrance to the kitchen... it seems like if you are on that side of the room there is constant traffic going by your table. They had a nice two for one drink special for happy hour. The food was your average bar food and was good. They also had a pretty good menu with everything from decent salads to burgers, sandwiches and some entrée's. Potato chowder - very good Buffalo chicken soup - if you like buffalo chicken A LOT you might like this. I'll skip it! French onion soup - salty. I like salty. But it was a little much. Prime rib - alright. Not Great. Shrimp cocktail - very good! Salad - good buts needs onion and croutons. Prime sandwich - just OK. French dip - it's good. read more

H'sville location has the best service and food. Colt has been our server several times, and they don't get any better! Colt knows the menu, and continually monitors the table, so drinks are replenished pronto. He has a great personality, and an asset to the restaurant. Love this place for the atmosphere and TVs..The food is typically pretty good but they lack attention to detail.. example- wings have limited or no dry rub or the appetizer is not heated thoroughly... The service especially at the bar is average at best.. the bartenders act entitled and don't tend to the customers needs.. I keep coming back trip after trip to Franklin because I like the sports bar feel but I get quite frustrated with the average staff.. read more

Loved this restaurant. The service is incredibly fast and the staff is super friendly. The food selection is your standard American grill food. The bang bang egg rolls are the best ever! Visiting from out of town on a soaking wet rainy day. We decided to stop here to watch NFL football. Our team was on one crappy TV stuck in the middle of no where with no seating. We did find a table and I could see the Titans game on all four sides plain as day but there were no Titans fans in our section. Still, employees refused to switch one of the TVs to accommodate. I could understand if there was someone watching them but NOBODY was watching. Very unfortunate. Decided to spend our money somewhere else. read more

I've been to this place a few times now and every time the service has been great. They are very quick with the drinks and the food, so you don't have to wait for a super long time, even on busy nights. The menu is rather extensive so there are a lot of options to choose from. I must admit that I absolutely love their deep fried pickles! I've been looking all over for a restaurant that serves deep fried pickle spears instead of the chips, and I'm so happy that this place does. They also have a lot of specials and happy hour every night, so there are always a bunch of drink specials to choose from. Can't wait to go back! read more

My wife and I love some of the offerings from Jonathan's. We frequent this place whenever we are in town, and love the Asian Zing boneless wings! There's plenty of space here, and lots of TVs if you're here for the sports. The service is ok, too. Might be a tad slow, but when they are busy, it's to be expected. read more

I don't ask for much when I go to Tennessee...I just want to experience 2 for 1 drinks once again, which is a thing you can easily accomplish here with beer. And so that is what we did on the night declared for "suburban adventures." To go with all that beer, we had their spinach and artichoke dip. It wasn't terrible, but it was sort of like as time went on "I'm just eating this because I'm drinking." This definitely isn't the sort of place I'd typically find myself. I like sports, I like bars, so clearly I like sports bars, but from where we were sitting it was kind of difficult to see the TV that had hockey on so we turned to watching on the phone haha. But it did what we went there for, a drink deal and just a spot to hang out. It was kind of loud, but that's kind of to be expected in a bar on a Friday night after all. read more

Went there earlier this week for a work lunch. While it is first and foremost a sports bar--which I LOVE how well they spread out the TVs to allow coverage of almost every station at any point within the building--needs to work on it's service a bit. The server seemed to be avoiding our 6-top a bit after the initial drink orders and appetizers were put into place. And while it's not necessarily the server's fault for order of food coming out to the table, it looks a bit strange that a medium rare steak took about 10-15 minutes after the rest of the food to come out when compared to the other orders would be expected to take the least amount of time to make. Ordered a medium well bison burger that came after much waiting very dry...it still had the colors expected within the patty for medium well so I can only assume that the grille either was too hot or it was left under a heating lamp long enough to dry it out. The appetizers were fine and flavorful (chips + queso, fired pickles, and 10 bam bam in bone wings). I do want to come back and check it out during a game in a true sports bar fashion, but so far on a dining aspect this place has me at neutral. read more

Of the Jonathan's locations, including what is now Jonny's, I think this is the nicest, most well designed one. Having been here for lunch several times, I really came to enjoy the endless flat screen TVs good food selection and friendly staff. The daily lunch specials were a welcome additions because the rest of the menu go a little spendy for lunch. I am a big fan of their burgers and wraps. Came here for the first time Tuesday night. Happened in on 2-4-1 glasses of wine night - score! There were also other specials but I was only focused on the wine. The main reason we came here was because I was craving a turkey reuben, and Noshville isn't open for dinner. So of course I ordered the turkey reuben! It was good - I really liked the thinly sliced turkey, and the onion rings....wow. Very good. I would have liked it on rye bread but the wheatberry bread was just fine. The service was great, but toward the end we got ignored a little. Other than that I had a good experience and will come back. Maybe to try the pizza next time. read more

Jonathan's is a nice sports bar with plenty of HD flatscreens to watch the game on. I enjoyed watching the game, but didn't enjoy the food very much. Apparently the whole restaurant is smoking, which might be a problem if you don't like smoke. read more

This location of Jonathan's is superior in every way to the Bellevue location. The service is better, the atmosphere is more relaxed, and the food is better, even though it is the same menu. I did have a weird night here though, and I think it was just the security, but it's the reason I'm giving it only three stars. There were promotional people going around for Jack Daniels and giving out free Jack promo items. Amongst the items was a JD bandanna, and one of the party we were with decided to wear it on his head. Well, security went berserk at him and told him it was against the dress code for him to wear it. He tried to explain that he had been given it in the restaurant. The security were extremely lacking in humor and kind of psycho scary, which has put me off going back there at night. read more

This bar is nice, it not empty and not too crowded at the same time. There are nice amount of TVs all around and lots of selection when it comes to the bar. It is also clean and don't smell funny. From the moment I walked in, this place seemed like a typical sports bar. But then it hit me: they were playing clubby dance music, which is kind of rare for a sports bar. One of the waitresses was a RIOT: she was dancing to the beats while ringing up customer checks.. Unfortunately, ours was of the bland variety - not too attentive nor enthusiastic about her job. I ordered the pacific whitefish from the menu but was served the tilapia. I opted against having the waitress take it back, for fear that she'd spit in the food. Besides, the tilapia wasn't all THAT bad.. too bad it was priced the same as the whitefish ($13) which is kind of unreasonable for a cheap bottom-feeder that simply grows big fast by feeding it trash. (My apologies to the few fish farmers who grow their product with better-than-inferior feed). Anyway, the signature salad has my recommendation.. loved the candied pecans in it! Just go light on the strawberry dressing - it's very thick... hmm.. double shot of high fructose corn syrup anyone? While you fall asleep from carb overload during lunch, the waitress might forget about you.. so perk up every once in awhile to find her so you can ask for your check.. else she might accidentally charge you dinner pricing when she eventually comes around hours later.. :P just kiddin - I haven't been here for dinner yet! Average, but good! In the area traveling for work.. this is a pretty good place to eat and watch the game. Bar area is large, so there is plenty of elbow room. Food is average, but good. Drink specials good too... People and atmosphere is good. Appropriate for family and causal dinner. Seating was a bit slow, hosts(hostesses) are not very attentive when you walk in. Mrs. E and I stopped for a little din din after a long day on the road of our most resent road trip. This place was handy being across the street from our hotel. Long story short everything was just outstanding. She had the Tia steak salad, and I went with the fire roasted chicken. I ate every bite of mine and went after some of hers.
