The staff also lacked professionalism and presentation. Some employees appeared extremely tired, disoriented, or as if they might have been dealing with a hangover. Communication was another major problem. The English proficiency of several staff members was very limited, which made it incredibly difficult to resolve even a simple issue with my order. What frustrated me the most was the management. I asked to speak with the manager because there had been a mistake with my order and I simply wanted to explain what happened and make a suggestion. The manager never came out to speak with me or address my concern. Instead, I was left trying to communicate with employees who either did not understand what I was saying or were unable to help. The owners of Park Side should pay much closer attention to the professionalism, training, communication skills, and especially the management of the staff representing their restaurant. Good food alone is not enough when the service makes the entire experience stressful and unpleasant. My advice: simply DO NOT GO ON A SUNDAY. It was chaotic, poorly managed, and honestly a disaster. I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and what should have been an enjoyable experience ended up being unnecessarily frustrating. This establishment, the manager is rude and utterly disgusting. I live in Nassau County and usually order from Joey's in Lynbrook which is the best pizza! I called this place by mistake and I placed a delivery order and paid for it via cc for a delivery. Not only did they take my full address and telephone number which should have been a dead giveaway, it's NOT a Queens address or area code. But they took the order. This jerk calls me back within 3 minutes to tell me he does not deliver to my town. OK.... Well off course it's an error jerk. If he would have delivered I would take the order no problem. This A- hole said that there is "no refunds" and that he made the order already, remember it has been 3 mins. If he made an order in 3 minutes then I'll be damned! I told him that I would take the order just deliver it because the order was charged for as a delivery. This A- hole told me "NO" and that I was NOT getting my money back. WTF*** this A -hole wants to keep my money! Hell will freeze over before that happens! If you have no idea how to run your business then you SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS Period! When you took the order you should have said "Sorry we do not deliver to Nassau County" and that would have been the end of story! But NO, instead you took my info and decided you will now take my money and not deliver anything to me. SCAMMER BTW this A-Hole's name is Joey, that's what the person said after I called back to find out the A hole's name. Who know's??? THIS PLACE IS A JOKE and there is an ORIGINAL A-HOLE IN MASPETH ! We bought a large pie tonight... half eggplant and it was the WORST pizza we've had in a very long time. We wasted $22 for sue. First off the crust and bottom were burnt.. my son when in to pick it up, had I gone in I would have insisted they cook a fresh pie. Good luck finding cheese on this pizza, maybe there was a cheese shortage?! The bottom of the pie was black, a little cheese and awful sauce. Good customer service. I enjoy the food. They are my go to when I finish work. They are open to 1am which can be a curse when you are starving at 12am - it's toooooo easy to just order some pizza. Good customer service. However if the drivers don't no you they don't seem to read the ticket when you clearly state basement side door please call. The pizza here is what you'd expect from a NYC pizza spot. I come here occasionally, just wish the slices were slightly thicker, but its still a good slice of pizza. Hopefully they make some renovations to modernize the place a bit. I'd recommend Joeys if you're in the area. read more
